The closest Costco is an hour away and dh can't see the need to justify joining when we belong to Sam's. Has anyone ever used Sam's to book a cruise - Disney or another line? Was it comparable to Costco - assuming you've used both... Please help! Thanks!

Sam's just recently started offering Disney Cruises, so there's probably not a lot of people who can answer this question for you.

I'm not sure if that's close to me or not! LOL We're in the NW suburbs off I90 (closer to WI than Chicago!) I'm pretty sure the closest one is in Schaumburg, but I try to stay away from there because the traffic is horrendous and I hate to drive anyway...

Zoo Mommy: You could get a quote from Sams. If it almost equal to DCL, then you can probably do better elsewhere. Costco discounts a flat percentage. It used to be 10%. Now people here have said 10% for outside, 5% for inside. If your Sams quote is about what that would be off DCL then the 2 are probably in the same ballpark. If not, you can join Costco online. The annual fee is $45. If you then call and get a quote and decide not to use their services, you can get the membership fee refunded. They want their members to be happy and will give you your money back if you are dissatisfied.

Slave...
Thanks...that was so nice of you to do that.
I work for the fire department here on HHI and one of the chiefs has this same picture in his office. You could see it every time you walked in the door. I made him(well, sort of suggested) he MOVE it someplace else, so you don't have to look at it every time and when we moved offices...he did.
Thanks again...keep praying them away..............

My3kids - thanks for letting me know that I could join Costco online; I figured it was like Sam's where you have to show up for your mug shot. I'm going to call Sam's in the morning and see what price they give me. We belong to AAA and are going on their group cruise in 2 weeks; they discounted $700 pp from the DCL rate of $2400, so that was good considering we booked rather late. Hopefully, SOMEONE can give me a good rate for next February (here I am ready to book another Disney cruise and haven't even left for the first one! We're addicted to Disney, what can I say!) :D
