Hi,

we are going to DLP in October half term Mon-Fri. I expect it to be busy, but do you think we need to book all of our meals before we go? We have half board standard vouchers and are staying at Davy Crocket. I was thinking of paying the extra for a Cafe Mickey visit, having a couple of meals at Davy Crocket and another one in the Park (paying the extra if necessary - but last time we did like the Plaza Gardens and this is included so ??? not sure).

Any thoughts gratefully received!!

Oh - one more thing- MNSSHP - should we go on the Tuesday? Does anyone know what times it is? My kids are 3 and 6 - will it be too long of a day for the little one do you think. He is normally in bed at 7pm - and after a busy day in the park??

Thanks for reading!

We are there the same time. I would definitely book CM and if you know wht you want to do it can't hurt to book that at the same time to avoid disappointment.
MNSSHP doesn't start until 8. I wondered what to do as well as DD is only 4, but we won't stay until the end for sure.

i am definately going to book my meals for november. with the new free food offer out its no harm. it only takes a phone call and at least then there is no disapointment. or else you could just book when you arrive

we loved mnnshp. ash was only 22 months but she stayed awake for it. she wanted to go on the carousel one last time and as i waited for it to stop she looked up and said buh bye babas and fell asleep in my arms. it was our last night so i thought it was a cute way to say goodbye lol. she did have a nap that day so i dont know how a child who doesnt nap would handle it.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I think we might just go for it with the MNSSHP!! Shame to miss it really I suppose - and being out in the dark will be a novelty in itself for the kids!! For some reason I am thinking dinner at cafe Micket starts at 6.00pm - do you know if thats right? (and is it the same for all of the restaurants?)

Can't wait now.........

The characters are at Cafe Mickey from just after 6pm each evening (plus between 12 noon and 2.45pm) but you can go for a meal there earlier than 6pm if you wish (but you won't see the characters, and the characters are, in my opinion, what makes it worthwhile at Cafe Mickey).

Most restaurants in the Village are open from around 11am all through the day and evening. Most of the hotel restaurants are open for lunch, then again from around 5pm until late evening.

And most restaurants in the parks are open for lunch, all the way through to late afternoon (later if the parks are open after 7pm).
