A couple of questions...
1- can you get a package without the dining plan and then add it on later or add it at check-in? Do they ever limit the amount of dining planners?
2- If I book a package under the 4/3 and then they bring out an AP rate later that I want to switch to can they apply all the money I have started to pay over to the new ressie or would I have to rebook and then wait for a refund?

I started originally w/o the dining plan. Two friends asked to join me and they wanted to do the dining plan, since they are college students and on a budget. I added it when I added their names, because everyone listed on the package has to have the same package deal.
So there isn't a limit to how many people can overall purchase the dining plan, but everyone on the package must have the same package....
I am not sure about the AP rate, but I had a regular package and changed it yesterday to the 4/3 and they just applied the balance I had already paid to the new reservation. As long as you do it more than 45 days out from check-in, you can change it. Also, I didn't have to wait for a refund, because my friends owe their balance next week, so we just deducted the lesser amount from their balance.

I should add I even had the same reservation number, since all my dining reservations were hooked to that number; so they couldn't have made it any easier!

Yes, you can add the DDP at a later date, but it must be added atleast 3 days (72 hours) prior to arrival as it cannot be added at check in ;). As for your second question.....if you book a 4/3 package and want to change that to a room only AP discount, the package would have to be cancelled/refunded and the AP room only would have to booked, requiring a new deposit as the money paid toward the previous package cannot be transferred to a room only. But I'm not sure how it would work if you changed to an AP + DDP package.....but hopefully someone will come along with more information :).
