:wave2: Hi!!! I've been lurking from the beggining...thought i would come out and say :wave2:.

I too am a lover of crocs....in fact that is all I own!! :) I gave up on tennis shoes and the parks about 2 weeks ago when i had to walk out of Disneyland in my socks...:rolleyes1 don't tell disney!! I decided right there that i will not even bother packing those shoes. And bought new crocs a week later..:thumbsup2

We only have 41 days left till our magical christmas vacation!!:santa: I can't wait. Seems like our plans are a day off from each other. I was thinking of starting a PTR... but am still new to this board...so not so sure if i should or not. :confused3

Yay--I finally got a chance to watch those Unwrapped episodes on YouTube. Boy did it make me want to gnaw on the corners of my desk! :rotfl:

I've actually never had one of the Mickey ice cream bars but I sure want one now. I think I can skip the mac and cheese. :confused3Haha, Ron had the same reaction to the Mickey bars. After watching Unwrapped, it is now on his MUST EAT! list.

Oh crap! I can edit it out?!?!?! I'M SO SORRY! Is it too late?!?!?:lmao: You're fine, honey. He only comes to read my PTR when I'm like "Baby, look at this!" and send him the link. I seriously doubt he'll see it, I was just harassing you. ;)

I love knowing who's with me here on my PTR! :cutie:

Yeah, I'm loving my Crocs! :lovestruc I've been wearing them all over, and to both of my jobs. I'm even going to go back to the outlet next weekend and see if they are still running that killer sale, and maybe pick up a couple more pairs. :woohoo:

You should definitely do a PTR of your own! I don't think it matter how long you've been around the DIS, it's never too soon to jump in head-first and just go for it! :thumbsup2 I know I would definitely subscribe!

Via stitchkingdom.com:

Walt Disney World is now accepting general requests to attend the taping of the 2009 Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade. As expected, taping will take place during the first weekend of December, but this year, taping will also occur on the Thursday before, making the taping a total of three days, December 3 – 5. Thursday and Friday will consist of performance tapings at Cinderella Castle and in the Main Street USA area while Saturday will be the parade itself (which may also contain additional performances at select locations along the parade route). Guests may opt to choose 1, 2 or all 3 days at time of registration.

Sign-up is free and includes park admission to the Magic Kingdom for the remainder of the day (note guests who exit the park after the taping may not be allowed re-entry without other legitimate admission media).

Registrations are accepted up until December 2 but are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To register, click http://www.active.com/framed/event_detail.cfm?CHECKSSO=0&EVENT_ID=1804465I am NOT NOT NOT happy about this.

Our MK day is the 2nd, thankfully. But what I am concerned about is the 5th. That is the only day that we can see Spectro/Wishes. And Spectro is something that Ron really really REALLY wants to see. We are spending that day at the Studios, then heading over to MK to catch it. From the sounds of it, it's going to be a madhouse... and if it fills to capacity and we can't get in the door, he's going to be crushed, and I'm going to feel like I failed him. :sad2:

But I've looked at our itinerary from every angle I can think of, and there's simply no other night that we could do it. It's only showing two nights that we will be there, the 2nd and the 5th. The 2nd we have to do Fantasmic, because it is only showing on the 2nd and the 4th, and on the 4th is our coveted Le Cellier reservation. All three of these things (Spectro, F!, and LC) are on Ron's fairly short "really looking forward to" list, and I don't think we should have to sacrafice any of them. :headache:

The parks are going to have plenty of people in them, I just do NOT understand why they need to encourage even more people to come for FREE, while those of us who have paid to be there are having to re-work our plans around the whole thing. So so so so unfair. :(

Oh I am so on the same page with you here. This totally rots my socks. I hate to miss MK on the 3rd cause that is when I was hoping to meet you and JoJo, I'm already thinking on leaving MK early on the 5th and now this leaves me with 1 MK day unless I rework all my plans, keep my ADR's as they are since I have already tried to change things and they are booked solid on those days, but just do some major park hopping.
I never want to think anything ill of Disney, but BLAST!!!!!!! why now? Why give away what we all have to pay for? I think those of us who have already paid for this should get the equivalent of a 1 day park ticket in cash!!!!!

I think those of us who have already paid for this should get the equivalent of a 1 day park ticket in cash!!!!! I'm talking to Ron about what's going on, and we both totally agree with being reimbursed for a 1-day ticket. This really is unfair that Disney would up and decide to give away THREE park days at MK, while legitimate paying WDW resort guests are going to have to totally re-do their plans to accommodate the masses of crowds that will be there for free.

The only thing I can think to do is start searching/praying for a LC res on the 3rd or 5th instead, that way we can see Spectro/Wishes on the 2nd, Fantasmic on the 4th, and totally avoid the MK on taping days completely. :sad2: I was just SO HAPPY to have my LC adr hunt finally be over, though!

**EDIT** I just realized the above plan won't work, because we have Ohana on the night of the 5th, so even if I got lucky enough to be able to move it to the 4th after Fantasmic, then it's cutting into evening EMH at Epcot... the only EMH that I really want to do. ARGH!!! :scared:

I think our only option is to just leave things the way that they are, and hope for the best. :worship:

The mood i'm in at the moment is that I just want to cancel this holiday!!

I am so sick of re-working plans and stressing out!

I think it is totally SICK of disney to be offering FREE tickets for 3 days and causing hassle for those who have PAID for tickets and PAID to stay at their resorts might not even be able to get into the park!!!

The 3rd is the day we were spending all day at MK with breakfast and lunch adr's booked, then meeting up with you guys and then we've PAID for MVMCP that night!!!! That party is gonna be PACKED out with members of the public who havent even PAID!!!!!!

I'm starting to wish we would have just stuck with going in september instead :sad1:

I think it is totally SICK of disney to be offering FREE tickets for 3 days and causing hassle for those who have PAID for tickets and PAID to stay at their resorts might not even be able to get into the park!!!This I agree with. I'm going to do some research and see if they have done this for the parade taping in years past, and if so what it's effect on crowds was. Hopefully, we're all overreacting and everything will be fine. After all, historically the 1st week fo December has always been one of the lowest crowd points of the whole year.

I'm starting to wish we would have just stuck with going in september instead :sad1:You can definitely relax on this one. Anybody without a hard ticket for MVMCP on that date will be politely kicked out at 7pm if they are caught by a cast member. Nobody who hasn't paid for the party will be allowed to stay, regardless of if they were let in free for the taping or if they were there on purchased park passses. Only confirmed party guests are allowed to party. Not to mention that since any loiterers will be unable to ride anything or buy anything, they will get bored very quickly and leave.

I wouldn't stress about MVCMP, sweetie. I think that will be the one time at the MK that we won't have to worry about these lousy parade freeloading crowds!! :goodvibes

Breathe? What does that mean?! Don't think i've done any of that for the past few hours :lmao: I am so wound up! :headache:

I'm at the stage now where I think I don't care - I'm just gonna stay in the wilderness lodge for 9 days and nights and get drunk at the bar  Happy christmas to meeeeeeeeeeee  ;) I hold my hands in the air and wave them around and say 'I SURRENDER - I GIVE UP' No more moving around meals and days - can't do it anymore - my brain just wont work

The way i've started seeing it is that I've got two options - sit here feeling totally stressed out for the next 5 weeks not being able to re-arrange everything yet again or I can just leave things as they are and have a couple of cocktails at MK which will help me totally forget about the freeloaders

I don't think they will remove people before MVMCP. They arent doing wristbands this year so how will they know who is who? When we were at MNSSHP last year, we bought tickets but werent asked for them once & i'm sure we didnt get wristbands either but we rode the rides and shopped etc... :confused3 Den said that if we're in any sort of queue for anything that day he is gonna ask to see people's tickets and if they havent got one he's gonna ask a CM to move them :lmao: Bless him! He doesnt like me being stressed out and ratty :rotfl2: I don't want these people hogging the good spots for the parades and fireworks during MVMCP or hogging the characters for photos either - it's just not fair!

I got a pair of crocs for my DH for Christmas, thinking they'd come in handy at WDW. I hope he likes them. He loves any sort of slip-on leather shoe like some made by Keen or Merrell that he wears all the time, so the clog style is something I know he likes. Whether he'll be into wearing something this "dressed down" I don't know, but if nothing else they will be perfect for yard work, canoe trips and the beach (he hates flip flops).

You poor souls. All worried about the taping day... Trust me if I was in your shoes, I'd be stressed out too. But Billie, you are 100%: There are far more important things to worry about and get stressed over. Just think of all those people who have had to cancel their trips because of swine flu! The most important thing to concern yourself with is staying healthy and being content in the fact that you are going to Disney World

I have a question though. Do they not restrict those who get in for free? I can't see the big head executives over at Disney missing out on such a large profit with allowing all these people to get in for free. There must be some things they will not be allowed to do :confused3

If it is any consolation, I'll be happy to do a RidMax plans for anyone who needs it. Will that help?

Hey there! I just started reeading reading your PTR and realized that we are going to be following each other for a few days. Our trip is for 12/3-12/7 and we are staying at AKL. :lovestruc

Our plans for 12/4 are to do AK (Flame Tree lunch) and then Epcot (Restaurant Marrakesh dinner w/CP Package). :santa:

On 12/5, we are planning DHS in the AM and then MK for the evening. I'm slightly stressed about the possibility of heavy crowds, but thankful that it won't be hot! I'm super psyched about Spectromagic b/c somehow we've always missed it. Crowded or not, we'll be there! :wizard:

There must be some things they will not be allowed to do :confused3I read up on it some more, and technically anybody who takes advantage of this will be required to "work" for a four-hour shift in order to be allowed to stay in the park. In other words, they have to be exactly where there are told to be for a 4-hour block, for filming. Similar to being an extra in a film. Once they complete their 4-hour shift, they they are free to enjoy the rest of the park. And yes, they are limiting the number of people that they give this opportunity to. I think it'll fine! Good thoughts! :goodvibes

I've been busy this weekend so I'm just catching up now!! Sorry for your ruined plans :( I know last year I had some friends that went and they said Main Street is crazy but the rest of the park was fine but they also were not letting people in for free! I would bet that if they leave the park and can't get back in your night should not be ruined. I can see people coming for the parade, staying for the afternoon but leaving early evening especially if they are not permitted back in. I can't see how people would stand there for hours and then still be there into the night.

I would just get there early to find a spot for Spectro since that is important to you. I would doubt it would reach capacity. Even last year on Xmas day and New Years, it was into the late afternoon until they were full and those were on holidays!!

nice bags :)

What time is your dinner at Le cellier? On our last trip in Jan, we had a 5:30 ADR and still somehow made it to MK for Spectro. I don't think i've ever walked that fast....when we got in..we still had like 2 mins left....

Finally bought our "his and hers" Heys Travelmate (http://www.bagsbuy.com/heys-travelmate/287811) bags. :thumbsup2 I got a pretty great deal at bagsbuy.com... The total including tax and shipping for both bags came to $46.73!

Those bags look great and super-convenient! I think the cell phone holders would probably be too narrow for my iPhone, but I think having the phone pocket on the strap is a great place for it--really easy access!

Well, that's one more thing off the list! I've about run out of things to do...

WAIT I KNOW. I need to start my packing lists soon! :lmao: I think that will be my next project!

Ok, I'm a big dork. I already started my packing list and I'm not going till a month after you! No, I'm not OCD, not at all, well maybe just a little bit. ;)

Ooooh. I might take you up on that! :thumbsup2

And no worries, I'm glad to have the heads up! Now I can be prepared for the worst!

No problem! I hardly use the program (ends in March 2010) and would like to spread holiday joy around! Just let me know when, though it is probably best closer to your departing date just in case sometihng changed/updatd with th program. :thumbsup2

I need park on wha day, starting time (ie: whn you expect to get on your first ride), ending time, if there is a Fastpass runner/utilizing late Fastpass and I can even program in your ADRs. And pow! A RideMax plan is made.

I love your bags!!! I must say that we do travel the parks only with what's in our back packs, but I do carry a back pack because I have this insane need to be prepared with and for everything. LOL if anyone needs anything while in the parks, just find me. I have managed to get most of it in travel size which helps, but you never know when you may need some mole skin for a blister (ps- a GOD SENT if you ever have a blister; you can find it in target in the foot care section)

I see that these new taping days at the MK have been throwing a lot of people off. It's so crummy, I'm sorry that it's messing up your plans. It's sticky to spend all the time planning only for this to happen at the home stretch!!

Even last year on Xmas day and New Years, it was into the late afternoon until they were full and those were on holidays!!

nice bags :)Thanks! The idea of His & Hers bags just tickles me. :cutie:

I think the parade business is going to turn out fine. And yeah, I plan on being at MK by 5:30 to start camping our Spectro/Wishes spot. :thumbsup2

What time is your dinner at Le cellier? On our last trip in Jan, we had a 5:30 ADR and still somehow made it to MK for Spectro. I don't think i've ever walked that fast....when we got in..we still had like 2 mins left....Our Le Cellier ADR is at 7:10pm. Sooooo... that's not gonna work. :rotfl:

Those bags look great and super-convenient! I think the cell phone holders would probably be too narrow for my iPhone, but I think having the phone pocket on the strap is a great place for it--really easy access!Yeah, Ron has a Blackberry, so I doubt the phone pocket will work for him. It will work perfect for my little Samsung, though. ;)

Nice bags ;) Hope they suit your needs for the trip!!!! Can't wait to put mine to the testMe too! I think they're going to be perfect, though. Thank you again for your help with them! ;)

And I think with Ron and I each having a bag, we'll have plenty of space between the two of us. (And yes, I am a moleskin user too! I put it on BEFORE blisters in the spots where I know I'm likely to get them, and it makes a work of difference!)

I showed Ron some food porn from Whispering Canyon Cafe. Guess where I've been asked to get us a ADR for an early dinner on 12/7, so we can fill our bellies before we drive back to South Carolina?

So the search continues. I just grabbed an ADR for WCC on 12/5, at 9:20pm, in order to keep my options open. (We are currently scheduled to have dinner at Ohana that night at 9:45pm.)

This means that I now am on the hunt for either WCC or Ohana, on 12/7, around 5pm!

A very merry unbirthday to me (to who)

With a present I agree
A very merry unbirthday to me
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Bdo46FhNcPc/SLlbgy8_VqI/AAAAAAAAAts/kyAUIEAHolg/s400/unbirthday.jpg

Little background... My parents started me in preschool as soon as they could, after a year of it they tried to register me for kindergarten. They were told that I was still a year too young. So they put in a second year of preschool, which of course I breezed through. At they end of that second year, they were once again denied kindergarten registration based on my birth date. They were told that I would have to wait yet another year, because I missed the birth date cut-off by one month. Apparently, my birthday had to be before Nov. 1st... mine was Dec. 3rd.

Well, my parents were none too pleased, and thought putting me through a 3rd year of preschool was totally stupid and unnecessary. But of course, they knew that just taking me out of school all together for a year would be even worse.

So. My dad did something crazy. I don't know the details of exactly how he pulled it off, but he falsified my birth certificate. He changed my birth date on it, and it worked. I started kindergarten that year.

But they were afraid of me blowing their cover, so until I was in 2nd grade I believed my birthday was October 28th. :lmao:

So every year on 10/28, I wish myself a very merry unbirthday. :cutie:

Also, I forgot to post this, but yesterday was...

This is the funniest story! Go Dad!:woohoo: We kind of did the same thing for Caya this year. She turns 5 in November but to play rec sports you are supposed to be 5 by 8/1. So when we call to sign her up and they ask for her birthday we say 7/18 (since 7 rhymes w/11)...that way if we're ever questioned we can just say "we said 11/18, someone must have mis-understood"! ;)

Great unbirthday story! Those cut-off dates for school are so lame. I mean, it would be awkward to have kids together that are in very different stages developmentally, but if people are within a few months of the cut-off date, they should have a test or something to determine whether they're ready for kindergarten. But that might make too much sense.:confused3

 You poor child. Good thing your parents actually told you they did that. Pretty amazing how he fudged the numbers on your birth certificate! Go Dad :thumbsup2

I, too, was held back (only one year mind you versus your three) from kindergarten. I was already reading at age 2 and well beyond the levels of what preschool was offering me. My parents tried registering me early but I was turned away. I had to wait until I was 5, like the rest. Seeing how my birthday is in January, I was nearly 6 by the time I started. Stupid school system

I'm just popping in to drop a quick note. Sorry that I haven't been around much, I know that I've been neglecting your PTRs almost as much as my own! Some drama went down at work (not with me), and my boss at the hotel is cracking down on bringing laptops for now. Since I work 2 jobs, my downtime at the hotel front desk late at night was when I did the majority of my DISing... or anything at all online, really. When I'm at home, I'm usually catching up on sleep. So that's why I've been a bit MIA. Praying that the laptop ban is only temporary! I'm already sick to death of spending all night watching infomercials on TV!

OMG. So I should totally be in bed right now, but I just found out something awesome!

I don't know if you guys are already aware, but they have officially added more Fantasmic shows for December!!

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/hollywood-studios/calendar/
(Click on the individual dates to see show times)

Because of this, I was able to do some rearranging. We are now going to the later Fantasmic showing (which I prefer anyhow, it's waaay less crowded) on 12/2, and I got a WCC res for afterwards at 9:45pm! We were originally scheduled to have dinner at Cape May Cafe that night, but I was able to move it to 12/7 (the night I was originally trying to get an early WCC res) at 5:35pm, before our drive back to South Carolina!

So everything is sorted! I was able to work in WCC, AND get to go to a late Fantasmic show, AND keep my original Ohana res on 12/5 at 9:45pm! :cloud9:

It's all PERFECT (for now)! :woohoo:

This also means I have ADRs to cancel. I have a "To be Cancelled" folder that I move them into, then usually wait until they build up a little before going in and knocking them all out. It's getting to be that time again, so before I do, I'm giving you all first dibs. All are for Party of 2 Adults...

12/2: Maya Grill, 7:45am
12/2: Cape May Cafe, 8:45pm
12/2: Cape May Cafe, 9:00pm
12/3: Crystal Palace, 4:30pm
12/5: Crystal Palace, 4:25pm
12/5: Ohana, 5:00pm

Tsk tsk... sneaking in your laptop! What would the boss say?!?!

Be careful about Fantasmic. You might want to have a back up plan just in case. You never know when Disney will shuffle things around again or worse, cancel the show due to inclement weather. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, I just want to be sure that you have a plan B just in case to avoid disappointment. Other than that, your plans look great! Glad to see you also scored WCC at a later time. Can you wait to eat that late?! I'd be STARVING by that time!!

LOL. Ron prefers later dinner times anyhow, it's how he was raised. At home I like to eat at normal-ish hours, but at Disney I like to eat after all the action is coming to a close, so we don't miss anything. :cutie: We have a couple other late ADRs that have been booked for ages. Are you spending all day at MK on 12/5? That's our DHS day, but popping back over to MK around 5pm, in time to catch Spectro and Wishes. :thumbsup2Yea, as of right now the plan is to be there all day unless taping gets out of hand, but I think it will be ok, that is my day to watch spectro too, so I really want to be able to stay there and not park hop.

Isn't mail from Mickey the bestest!!!! I'm hoping to get mine today. LOL DISing from work is the best. I mean as long as there is nothing to do, and if you have a somewhat slow boring job, I feel your pain because I'm right there with you!!

I think that I'm having some kind of crazy brain freeze, but I can't remember what "Mickey Mail" is? :scared1::confused3 Should I be expecting something special soon? We check in on 12/3. Since our trip is a surprise for our our DS11, I need to make sure I nab it before he sees it. Can someone remind me what I need to be on the lookout for? We booked a room-only through Disney with no Magical Express involved. Thanks a bunch! :wizard:

It included printed confirmation that you're paid in full for your room, tickets, dining, etc. It also includes vouchers for things like Planet Hollywood and mini-golf.

While I know that room-only guests don't get all those amenities, I'm really not sure if you should be expecting a confirmation in the mail or not. I would recommend perhaps calling to find out? :confused3

I'm thinkin' it will probably be easier to just play it by ear, or texts as the case may be. While I intend to be in MK by 5:30pm on 12/5, we all know that even the best laid plans oft go astray. I would hate the idea of anybody standing around waiting on me. :cutie:

Mickey Mail is just a package that has your Disney luggage tags, I think there is a breakdown of your itinerary, maybe an invoice saying paid in full, and if I'm not mistaken some maps? :confused3 It's been awhile since I've gotten one! :( Anyway there really isn't anything in it that you absolutely NEED, but it's just fun to get it in the mail and get the luggage tags!!

So everything is sorted! I was able to work in WCC, AND get to go to a late Fantasmic show, AND keep my original Ohana res on 12/5 at 9:45pm! :cloud9:

It's all PERFECT (for now)! :woohoo:

Try to take it easy!! Is there a cut off for your second job, like okay by X date I won't work anymore. You should give yourself a few days before the trip. Just to sort of regroup and get your stuff together. I hope your second job isn't too stressful. AC Moore has cut my hours waaaay back so I think I can going to call it a day with them. It was good to rack in a little extra cash, but we're set now and plus I kind of miss having some down time.

It's pretty laid back, just sittin' around puttin' kazoos together with friends. It's dummy work for 10 bucks an hour. And yeah, my last day there before Disney is Nov. 24. I am working at my full time job up until the 29th. (I leave on Dec. 1st.) I just wanna make sure my bank account is sufficiently padded before the trip, and since neither of my jobs are hard work, I figure I'd be pretty stupid to pass up the easy money. :thumbsup2

We agreed that my last day before my trip would be Nov. 22 (a full week before I leave on Dec. 1st) because of Thanksgiving. I won't go back until Dec. 14th. I'll only be there for a week and a half to help them out before Christmas, then I'm done for good because after the holidays they will slow down and not need the extra help anymore. But he's going to keep me sorta "on call" and let me know first if they have enough work for me to come in occasionally and make a few extra dollars. :thumbsup2

I remember when warcraft came out many many years ago, I got a demo of it on one of those discs stuck to a magazine and loved it so my parents got me the actual game for christmas and I was hooked. Unfortunately I dont seem to play computer games anymore, I miss doing that, maybe after this trip I will put aside a bit of time to have some computer fun :laughing:Stay awaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!! WoW is suuuuuch a massive time-sink. It has devoured many a life, I'm afraid. :sad2: My account is currently active, but I don't really play anymore.

Gosh, my PTR started out with so much potential, didn't it? Then I picked up the second job and lost my internet access at my first job, and have ended up with no time for this thread. :sad1:

Not alot has been happening, but I have had so many "planned" posts for PTR that just never have come to fruition. No fun stories or pictures. So bland, I'm sorry. :sad2:

My TR and dining review will be better, I promise!!!

Today I went shopping, bought a couple new tops and some necklaces for the trip. Part of me feels guilty for that, but the other part feels very justified. I only get to see Ron every 3 months, so Disney or no Disney, it's important that for one week I feel like I look sorta cute for him. :cutie:

Last week, I picked up some cheap little Christmas earrings and necklace to wear to MVMCP, too. With a red top and green shawl, and jeans. Yay. :santa:

Also, I'm having some reservations about the pink Heys Travelmate bag I bought... I think the strap is just a hair too short ot wear comfortably all day long. I'm still going to give it a try on he first day, but I also bought a back-up bag at WalMart. It's just a very simple purple denim bag, but it's lightweight and the strap extends really long, and fits more comfortably across my huge belly and ample chest. It just won't hold as much junk as the TravelMate will, so we'll see what happens with that. :confused3

I sent Ron a package today, in it I included my neck pillow that I use for long trips so that he can use it on his flight here, his black Heys Travelmate bag, a little box of candy, a case for his camera that I picked up for him a month ago because I knew he needed one, and almost everything that WDW has mailed me in the last three months. I only kept for myself the booklet of info that I got in my Mickey Mail at the 30-day mark, and our MVMCP tickets. I sent him the planning DVD, the customized maps, the luggage tags, and every other little thing they've sent me. I don't need any of it anymore, and I know that looking at it all will help build excitement and make him feel more included in all the planning I've been doing. :lovestruc

Okay, that's all I've got for now. Yesterday was our 2 week mark, though! I didn't have time to update. So today is...

13 more days!!!
3 days until online check-in!!!
OMG OMG OMG!!!

YAY 13 DAYS!!!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

Don't worry about being a PRT absentee, you're really busy making that Disney dough, so it is completely forgivable :)

You have to treat yourself sometimes. You're working so hard, you deserve a little something every once in awhile. I know how you feel though, I bought two long sleeve t's at target the other night (for layering under t-shirts) and as I was standing on line I was asking myself if I really needed them. Finally I said to heck with it, they were $6 each and I layer throughout the winter months.

I hope your park bag works out okay. It's all about the comfort. DH took an old school bag of mine that I don't really like. It's one of those that has a strap that goes across your chest. LOL it's annoying to me because I have ****s, but he seems to be fine with it.

I will say tuned for your TR and dining review!!

Did Ron get his package yet?

A back-up parkbag is never a bad thing. Of course, this coming to a person with 3 potential parkbags and 1 PPPBs. :lmao:

Do not feel guilty about getting yourself a little something something, especially if Ron will appreciate it! Go indulge. I think i may have gotten that from a perfume ad, btw.

How was the online check-in? Mine for that comes on Dec 1, since I don't do the on-property part of my stay until Dec 11.

I have no idea why I'm being so slack about it, other than it means firing up the desktop computer that I never use since it's attached to the printer, and I if there's anything to print I want to be able to. I need to print off all the spreadsheets and itineraries and such I've made too, so maybe I'll do all of it tonight after dinner. :)

Scooter races are the best! Just not in crowded areas, of course. I'm a very responsible ECV driver, and that's why seeing so many people here on the DIS complain abou them just irks me to no end. :sad2:

Okay, first and foremost:

5 more days until Ron boards his flight!

6 more days until we are on our way to Disney World!
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Okay, now that's out of the way... :rotfl:

Thank you everybody for all your comments, and your concern! Again, sorry I've been so MIA the last month or so, but you all know I've been workin' my butt off! :scared: The second job has come to an end. I may be going back after the trip for a week and a half, just to help then out right before Christmas. But that's it. As for my full-time job, at the hotel, I had the last two nights off. I go back tonight, and I work straight until until my first day of vacation time on 11/30. I took the day before our departure off so that I have plenty of time to rest and prepare for the trip, as well as go do the girly things like get my nails done, etc. :cutie:

Ron got his package in the mail on Monday, he loves his park bag and all of the Disney stuff I sent him. He went through it all with me on the phone, he especially liked the customized maps of all four parks. :goodvibes He's starting to get excited now that we're down to less than a week! :woohoo:

I've got all my laundry for the trip done as of today. It's all either hanging in a section of my closet or folded in a specific drawer in my dresser. I don't really have room to leave a suitcase open getting filled up over days, so that part won't happen until the night before. But I getting everything organized and ready to be packed now. I have my master packing list made, just need to print it. All the shopping bags of all the little things I've bought to go along with us (mesh laundry bags, moleskin, ponches, etc) are all gathered up in a corner in the computer room.

Tonight I finally went on and did our online check-in, and registered my birthday. In the next couple days, I'll print out the spreadsheets I've made for our itinerary. We also tweaked our ADRs one last time... of course. :rotfl2: I don't think I've updated ya'll on our finalized itinerary recently, and I know I haven't updated the post at the beginning of this thread. LOL. But here is what we are going with:

12/1: Ron's flight arrives at 11:10am. Pick him up, stop at Sonic for lunch. (Ron loves Sonic and there aren't any near where he lives.) Hit the road and be checking in at Coronado Springs between 4-5pm. Depending on how he is feeling, either nap until dinner at 9pm, ~OR~ head out to MK until closing at 7pm. Then take the monorail loop over the Epcot just to see it without leaving the train. Then back at MK transferring to the resort monorail and heading over to explore the Contemporary until our 9:00pm ADR at Chef Mickey's. Eat, meet the Mouse himself and friends, then head back to CRS to unpack and get ready for the next day.

12/2: 7:45am ADR at Maya Grill to get a good filling breakfast before our first full day! At MK in time for 9am opening ceremony. Stay there until 6:00pm-ish, then head over to the Studios for Osbourne Lights and 2nd Fantasmic showing. Followed by 9:45pm ADR at Whispering Canyon Cafe, then back to the room after late dinner.

12/3: My birthday! :cutie: Head over to El Centro to grab breakfast at either Pepper Market or Rix Grab-n-Go. Be at Epcot in time for 9am rope drop. Hang in FutureWorld until World Showcase (my favorite) opens. Then tour as much as we can until our 4:30pm dinner ADR at Les Chefs de France. See Remy. Eat birthday cake. Yum! Then back to the room to put the rest of the birthday cake away, freshen up, and change into my Christmas-ish stuff. Because next we are off to the MK for MVMCP! (We'll be meeting JoJo and her DH here!) Party until Midnight, then exit with the masses and head back to the room to pass out!

12/4: Sleep-in! This is our relaxed day. We have asolutely nothing scheduled until our 7:10pm dinner ADR at Le Cellier. I'd like to head out to Epcot around 4pm though, so we can finish anything in World Showcase that we didn't get to. After dinner, we are skipping Illuminations and heading right to Future World for Extra Magic Hours! Stay until we get in everything we want to do, or Midnight, whichever comes first. Then back to the room.

12/5: Awake and off to the Studios by 7:45am, in time for early EMH! Grab breakfast at Starring Rolls. 12:35pm lunch ADR at Sci-Fi. Stay until 5:30pm or so, then back over to the MK one last time for SpectroMagic at 7pm and Wishes at 8pm. Late dinner ADR at 9:45pm at Ohana, then back to our room for the night.

12/6: Back down to El Centro for breakfast at either Pepper Market of Rix. Then to AK in time for 9:00am opening ceremony. Stay here until closing. Off to Animal Kingdom Lodge for 6:00pm dinner ADR at Boma! Then afterwards, back to Epcot for Illuminations... which is what I always do on the last night of a trip. :cutie: Then back to the room to pack up all of our things followed by our last night of sleep at CSR.

12/7: Car loaded up and out the door in time for our 9:05am breakfast ADR at 1900 Park Fare. Then over to Downtown Disney to shop, grabbing a quick lunch. Aftwrwards, either more DTD or back to a park of our choice for a few last hours. Then over to the Beach Club for dinner ADR @ 5:35pm at the Cape May Cafe Clambake. After dinner, it's time to say goodbye to Disney World, and drive the 5 hours home.

So there ya have it, our summarized trip itinerary! The next 6 days can't go by fast enough! :goodvibes

So last night when I was writing that big update, I neglected to mention that Ron told me he'd had a Disney World dream the night before. Yes. DBF is having dreams about it too. :lmao: I have been for months (and each time I intended to write about it here, but was always too busy, boooo), so that's no big deal. But I love that HE is dreaming about it!

And the dream he had was pretty amazing. I'm going to try to recreate our conversation for ya'll:

Ron: Oh, I forgot to tell you! I had a dream about Disney World last night!
Billie: Oh yeah! Really! What was it?
Ron: Well... I dunno, like... are there fountains at the Magical Kingdom? ((Yes, he calls it the Magical Kingdom. I've given up on correcting him, and now I just find it kinda cute!))
Billie: Hmm... That's Epcot.
Ron: Oh. Well, maybe it wasn't fountains, or maybe it was in the dream, but anyhow... we were in some sort of central area in front of the castle, you know?
Billie: Oh sure, okay, I follow you.
Ron: And we were sitting there on the sidewalk watching a parade I think, there were a bunch of characters walking around.
Billie: Aww, that's awesome!
Ron: And babe... We had our 2-year-old son with us.
Billie: What?!
Ron: Yeah! He had dark hair and eyes like me, and light skin like you. And he was sitting in our laps and we were pointing out the characters to him.
Billie: Oh my god! That's... oh my god! Awwwww!
Ron: I know! I was like "Holy ****!"
Billie: Uhh... "Holy ****" bad or "Holy ****" good?
Ron: Oh, "Holy ****" good. Definitely. :)

Just wanted to drop a quick note to let everybody know that I am home and suffering a terrible awful case of the Disney Blues already. Ron and I know we want to go back, but didn't book bounceback or anythiing because we know that with moving in together within the next year, our financial situation is going to be really difficult. But we're still hoping to put another trip together for Oct 2010! :cutie:

I will get started on my TR this week, but don't expect too much... I was pretty lax on the picture taking. I have this problem where I am just so busy enjoying myself and taking it all in that I totally forget to get out the camera. But I did get a few shots, so I'll do my best with what I've got! :) As soon as I have it started, I'll post a link here. I can't wait to hear about everybody else's trips as well!!! :goodvibes

I'm suffering a terrible case of the Disney Blues, too. :sad1: We actually booked a BB at AKL for next December for an amazing rate, but now my DH is insisting that the next trip be in Feb. 2011. I hate to drop the wonderful rate that we got for December...I keep hoping that he will change his mind. ;) However, he insisted again today that it be in Feb. It's easier for him to miss work then and he said that he would appreciate the trip more...1 year does come around fast.

I really wish there was a way for them to apply this wonderful BB rate for Dec.2010 to a room in Feb. Otherwise, I guess I will book it full price and then start the crazed quest for a discount code (always so stressful :headache:). I'm just so happy that he is still game to go back. He's not addicted yet, but he is developing a soft spot for the mouse. :smickey:

Can't wait to hear about your trip!

Hello, ladies! Just popping in to check in and let you all know that the trip report IS on it's way! Between the Disney Blues, the missing my man blues, and the lovely flu that came home from WDW with me, I haven't been up for anything online that requires even the least bit of concentration. I had a burst of energy tonight, and started sorting through the photos and working on editing and resizing them. Day 1 is done, so hopefully I'll be getting the TR and DR up and going in the next few days! :goodvibes

Sorry to hear that sickness followed you home  Feel better soon! It's definitely very hard to get out of the Disney blues but even reliving your trip through a TR will make you feel better  Can't wait to read it!

I'm sorry you came home with the flu--that's awful; I do understand the Disney blues...those take a few days to go away at least; and I hope you and your man are together soon. Looking forward to your report.
