I have a question. My husband is an opera singer. BUT in the summer he teaches at a local arts college. He also subs in between shows so he is officially an employee, although part-time.

Would we qualify for the teacher discount? What are the required proofs of teacher-dom? I can certainly show a pay stub or a letter from his supervisor. And, I guess the big question is...do colleges count?

I had a dream that we went for a quickie trip and stayed at the Swan/Dolphin...so who knows. The dream could become a reality. Thing is, we usually stay at YC/BC and I don't think I can tear myself away from Stormalong Bay unless the teacher rate is just simply awesome.

Any info would be appreciated.

I'm what's referred to as an Adjunct Faculty member at the college where my regular gig is computer programmer. I teach the occasional class and am paid for it by the class. I sign a contract for each class I teach. A copy of this contract got me the Teacher's rate this Nov. If hubby has similar documentation for a class in the calendar year you want to go, you should be fine.

Thanks to Bill for the information. I'm sure we can get such a letter.
