Hi Everyone, I'm thinking of doing a quick weekend trip from Florence Italy. Is this possible? I've never been to DLP and would love to check it out but I'm on a tight budget (I'm an American college student studying in Italy). What's the best way to get there, train or flying? What station/airport would I want to arrive at? Thanks for all the help!

Welcome :wave2:
That's quite a tricky one as DLRP is never really good value for a weekend trip to be honest with you.
You'd probably be better flying to Charles De Gaul airport and then getting a bus transfer from there to Disneyland Paris. I would imagine that a train from Italy would take too long for just a weekend trip.

Thanks for the information. I found a pretty good deal flying into Orly on easyjet. Does anyone know about how much it costs to take the metro from Orly to Marne La Vallee Chessy? A ball park figure is all I'm looking for.

I don't think the metro runs from Orly. You can get the RER train from Orly to Marne La Vallee.
Here is directions to DLRP from Orly Airport from DLRP Magic (www.dlrpmagic.com)
VEA Shuttle
* Journey time: 50 minutes + (depending on your hotel)
* Adults: 16 € Children (3-11): 13 € Single tickets only
* Recommended for any groups
* Official website: www.vea.fr
VEA is the official shuttle given license to operate daily between Orly airport and Disneyland Resort Paris, with brightly coloured, 75-seater, air-conditioned coaches. The service stops at both terminals, with tickets available to purchase as part of your package, through travel agents, at Aéroports de Paris counters or on-board the bus itself.
There are up to 12 services a day between Charles de Gaulle Airport and the Disney Hotels (excluding Davy Crockett Ranch). All coaches stop at the Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy bus station, allowing onward links to Val de France, Val d'Europe or Marne-la-Vallée area hotels. Full timetables can be found on the official website.
For disabled guests, VEA have minibuses available to book in advance. See the website for more.
Rental Car
* Journey time: 50 minutes
* Prices vary
* Recommended for visitors wishing to also explore the region
If you're staying at Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch, a hotel in the Marne-la-Vallée region or just want more freedom and a chance to explore the area, then a rental car is a great option. Hertz Car Rental is an official partner of Disneyland Resort Paris, with a rental desk located at Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station and the Esso gas/petrol station near Disney's Hotel Santa Fe.
At Orly airport, Hertz is based at the West Terminal (Orly Ouest), and offers immediate pick-up upon arrival between 6am and 10pm. Should you arrive at South Terminal (Orly Sud) after this time, a free shuttle bus can take you to the main desk at Orly Ouest.
Taxi
* Journey time: 50 minutes
* About 70-80 €
* Recommended for large groups or very early/late departures/arrivals
If you arrive or depart after the final VEA Shuttle and the TGV services don't suit your arrival time, then the resort is just a 50 minute taxi journey away from Orly airport (depending on traffic). Prices will vary depending on the time and traffic levels, but expect to pay around 70 to 80 euros.
If you're a large group or are staying outside of the main resort area, this can be a good option.
OrlyVal + RER
* Journey time: 1 hour 10 minutes +
* About 8 € for OrlyVal, plus RER via Paris [More Info]
* Not recommended - unless your hotel is along the RER line
* Official website: www.orlyval.com : www.ratp.fr
OrlyVal is an automated electric railway running from Orly Sud and Orly Ouest to the RER Line B station at Antony. From here, the blue Line B leads directly to Châtelet Les Halles, where you can change to RER red Line A4 to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy Disneyland.
