View Full Version : Once and for all! Who's Best? ********, Happy Limo, or Tiffany?

I suppose everyone has had great experiences with each of these, and many have had poor experiences with each.

But I figured if I posted a poll and got enough responses, I could get a feel for who has the most consistently good service and the fewest complaints.

I was unimpressed with the email I got from ********, responding to my request for sodas and beer to be in the limo. His response was "I'll try to have your drinks". Try??? Either tell me you will or you won't!

This is the kinda thing I mean. Who will treat us best, be on time, meet our requests and have the nicest limos???

Thanks for any and all input!!

We've been "happy" with Happy (no pun intended!). So far, with all our cruises they have always been reliable. A while back, they upgraded us to the stretch limo, and it was decadent! A tv with videos, soda, and they also provided a digital camera for photos (I have pics. on my website). It was nice because that was the time when I was still recovering from my kneecap-popping incident, and I had PLENTY of room to stretch out). Their towncars are nice & clean too.

I've never done a cruise and so I can't speak as far as transportation in that regard. But, I have used Tiffany and Florida Towncar in the past from MCO to WDW. I have to say both were very nice. Did have some confusion about my pickup time with Tiffany the last time I used them - I had asked to be picked up at 6:00pm at the resort and the driver that dropped me off had scheduled me for 7:00pm. No biggie, just got me nervous when I was waiting and no one was there yet.

I've used Tiffany to go from MCO to WDW and back with a grocery stop. They were waiting for us both times and both drivers were very friendly and helpful.

My vote is for Disney transportation. You know they will be there and the busses are comfortable. I was very surprised myself.

BUMP

It is obviously a close race. Which, with only 16 votes, means that people are pleased with all three services so far. Lets get some more votes in and see what happens.

I am also wondering how many of the votes have only used one of the services. It is a bit like asking someone what the best cruise line is when all they have cruised is DCL. (Are there any other cruise lines??)

Seems this may be a popularity contest, but will also allow people to express their pleasure with whichever service they choose. And so far it looks like you win no matter which of the three you go with, which is great news for us as consumers!

Oh yeah! According to Cartier's website they have stretch limos, and what looks like to me stretch vans too! I think those are neat, they ride a little higher (well maybe a lot higher) than the limos but not quite as high as the stetch Hummers. :D

I still like the Avis option. It's much cheaper and you have the control and can make stops at stores, etc. if you want. It's very easy to do with pick up, drop off, transfers, etc. But, depending on the number traveling, timing, etc., it might not be the best option for everyone.

11? That seems odd. Happy Limo lets us pick whatever time we want to go to the port...sometimes we go really early to meet up with Shirley from Perfect Gift for breakfast. You should be there by 11:45, but the line might be rather long by then (boarding typically starts around 12:15). The line get long much faster for the Magic than the Wonder, but in either case I'd want to be at the port by 11, not just be leaving!

After our 1/19 cruise, (there were 4 of us ) wandering thru the parking lot looking for our Tiffany van. To our surprise we found our name on a stretch limo ( they were out of vans ...I was sooo disappointed....lol ) WE have used Tiffany many times and will use them again come Oct.

Thanks Barb! I thought I had read on the boards a while back on what time everyone suggests to be port. I emailed Cartier this morning to request an earlier pick up time. The last thing I want to do is go through all the planning of arriving a night earlier, etc. to worry that I won't make it to port at a decent time and be at the end of the line! Thanks again for your reply!!

Well, we tried Happy Limo this year after reading so many good recommendations.... Next year....we'll be trying someone else.

We got the confirmation, in writing, stating that the driver would meet us at baggage claim holding a "Happy Sign" with our name on it.

Well, we show up to baggage claim... see about 50 other limo drivers with signs... not ours. We wait 15 minutes... nothing. I call Happy Limo and he says "Oh the driver can't meet you inside since Sept 11. Security reasons". (Sure...that exactly why every OTHER limo company is in there waiting by baggage claim). He tells me to go outside to Post 7. We drag our luggage outside to Post 7....there's a Disney Bus. We call back..... Now he tells me we have to wait until the bus leaves. The bus leaves..... no driver. 15 minutes later we call again "Oh, the driver is on the way".   10 minutes later the driver shows up. She was dropping off someone else. (Please note: We have now waited 40 minutes for our car). The Driver was very cool, but she was so rushed because of over-book appointments.... we didn't even get our "Courtesy Grocery Stop".

I don't like being lied to and I don't like spending the extra $$ for service I don't get.

Happy Limo.... NEVER AGAIN. I'll take the Mears Bus first....and you KNOW how bad that is!
