Tuesday September 22 Arrival Day

Ok so most of you all know that I was a mean mommy and made my little guy go to school today! :mad: My thought was to have him miss the least amount of school as possible, geese I was just trying to be a responsible mom! :rotfl: So the day started off with me dropping Devon off at school and running home to do some last minute schoolwork for my Masters class I am taking. I actually finished up quicker then I anticipated so I quick ran to the nail salon for a mani and pedi! Boy was the relaxing! Didn't my piggy toes turn out so cute! :laughing:

Once done, I ran home straightened up around the house, jumped in the shower, got ready and headed to the school bus stop to pick up Devon! The smile that was on his face was priceless!!! You could just tell how excited he was! So home we went to get ready to leave for the airport! Fed the boy a quick snack, did his homework, packed his carry-on bag (he was using his school bag), and changed him into his travel gear and we were on our way by 4:40p to pick up Judy! For once, Judy was actually ready to go! :rotfl: So we threw her bags into the trunk and we were on our way to my parents house so my brother could take us to the airport, after a little struggle to fit all of our bags into the car of course!

We were on the road to the airport by 5p, luckily we only live a few minutes from Philly International so, with traffic we were arrived at PHL by 5:20p for our 6:59 flight!!! Check-in was a breeze as was security, we got a bit confused at this point, the airport is undergoing extensive renovations, so when we actually had to walk to another terminal b/c the one that Air Tran usually flys out of is closed. So we headed to gate E8 and relaxed while we decided what we would get to eat while we waited!!! So what did we get??? Chickie N Petes!!! Um Um!!! So good, we love this place! Devon and I shared crab fries and buffalo chicken strips and Judy got a turkey wrap! By the time we ate, we had just enough time to run to the bathroom before boarding began.

Boarding was quick and easy, we were in the front of the plane which meant we boarded last, but were off the plane first! Woo Hoo!! :woohoo:

Man, the amount of planes that were in line for take off was ridiculous!!! I swear it was like we were in a traffic jam! :lmao: So after after 25 minutes of taxi-ing we finally took off! :yay: The flight to Orlando was pretty uneventful. Except for the fact that I darn near punched a flight attendant in the face. Now I'm no one to make a stink of things, but this dude really pissed me off!!! So, the attendants are doing the drink and snack thing and we they get to our row, they give Judy pretzels and no one else, but they take all of our drink orders. While the flight attendant is passing out our drinks, Devon kindly asks can I please have some pretzels, to which the flight attendant rolls his eyes and says "yeah what about them"? So now I jump in and say he nicely asked you if he could have a bag of pretzels since you failed to give them to eveyone in the row but her (I was pointing at Judy). At this point the dude sighs and tosses the bag of pretzels at Devon!!! I was literally about to get out of my seat and tackle this moran for this arrogant attitude! Best part is, after we landed I received a survey from the airline asking about my flight, to which I complained about the service we receives.

Ok, now that I ranted and raved, lets move on, so the just of the flight was smooth sailing, Devon fell asleep until it was time to land.

Now here's where the fun begins!!! Devon has been flying since he has been a baby abd has never had any issues with ears popping, etc... Well, if you read in my pre-trip report, he came home from his dad's on Sunday night all congested and coughing, he has allergies, so that pretty common this time of year for him, well, I never thought that the poor kid would be in agony b/c of it when we were landing!!! :scared1: He cryed and wimpered in pain the entire time we were desending! I felt so bad, all I could do was hug and kiss him and tell him it would be ok soon!

We landed in MCO at about 9:30p, about 15 minutes ahead of schedule, grabbed our carry-on bags and darted to the restrooms, I gave Devon some Tylenol at that point to ease some of his pain. We then boarded the airport "monorail" and went to retrieve of baggage.

by the time we got to baggage claim our bags were already going around the belt!! Woo hoo!!! :worship: So we went down a level and checked in with magical express, since we already had are vouchers, we did not have to go to the counter, we went right to the POP line, boarded the bus and we were on our way! :yay: We arrived at POP before 10:30P!!! Less then an hour from landing in Orlando!! Not to bad!

I did online check in before we arrives so I literally walked right up to the check-in desk and was on my way within minutes. I requested a room in either the 70's or the 50's. So was our requested granted? You bettcha!!! we were given a room in the 70's on the 4th floor! This was such a perfect location! It was convenient to everything and it was so quite!

I truly feel his pain with flying. I suffer with sinus issues and when you begin the descent it can be really painful. :sad2: It literally feels like your head could explode. I sure hope he got to feeling better quickly.

We had some friends just return from WDW and they kept talking about how incredibly crowded it was... Guess it is all a matter of interpretation :rolleyes:

Hey Darlene! Thanks for joining in!!! I will say that the crowds did get more noticable as we got closer to the weekend and MK on Thursday night was busy b/c it was the only night that week that Spectro and Wishes were running b/c of MNSSHP! Other then that, the waits for rides were minimal and thats all the matters right? :rotfl:

Sounds like you had a rocky start ! That airplane steward was plane rude!!

So tell me how was you room location in distance from the food court and
60's pool etc? I'm seriously thinking of requesting 70's next yr just want a great standard location!:thumbsup2 We were in 60's in August and 50's last yr! Our fifties location has been the best thus far. I can't wait to hear more I hope it gets better and I hope your not sick to long!

Hey there!!! I highly recommend the 70's section, I believe we were in building 10 on the 4th floor. It was great, it was no more then a 2 minute walk to the Hipp dippy pool and everything pop as well as the bus stops!! Will definitely request this area again if we go back to POP!!! Devon wants to do Sports next time since that is the only value we have yet to stay in!

Wednesday Sept. 23rd Holllywood Studios

Of course we woke up bright an early for our first full day in Disney and b/c we had 8:50a breakfast ressies at Cape May Cafe! We were out the door and on the bus to DHS to catch the ferry to BC by 8:10a. We were all super excited to get the day started, but boy was it HOT already!!!

We finally arrive to our destination and are seated promptly despite the fact that the lobby was completely full with peopl waiting to be seated!!! Sure didn't see me complaining! :banana:

And this is the point that things started to go down hill!! First off, the waitress was HORRIBLE!!! We waited 20 minutes before she finally came over to the table to take our drink orders and then another 10 to bring them back!!! That was the last we saw of the waitress until I literally walked and tracked her down to pay! :eek: One mishap down, onto my drama, but first, a little back story! So I woke up Sunday the 20th with pain in my jaw, pretty nomal since I grind my teeth, but as time went on, the pain was definitely not going away like it normally does, I was popping Advil and Aleve left and right, and that seemed to be working, at least until this point!!! :confused3 By the time I took my first bite of food, the pain was crazy, not only did by jaw hurt, but now my whole face hurt, especially in the sinus area under my eyes! So what did I do? Stopped eating, popped and Aleve and sucked it up!!! I'm in Disney darn it!!! I was not about to let this get me down!

Quick Review of Cape May Cafe: This was our first time eating here and we were all looking forward to it. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed! :guilty: the food selection was limited and the whole ordeal with waiting forever for the waitress to show her face left a sour taste in my mouth! Don't think I will be heading back here anytime soon!

hey reese I finally got a chance to read the start of your TR. It all sounds awesome minus the flight attendant and devons ears and your jaw. Hope it got better during the day but I guess I will just have to wait and see. We had dinner at cape may and it was spectacular! Try that next time. Oh wait I think I remember you have a seafood allergy right? If thats the case than I would say skip it cause thats the best stuff there. Anyways that stinks about the service. I was overall disappointed from alot of the CM's this time. There were many times I was amazed by how grumpy some of them were. Its not the usual disney happiness I was used too. I also thought it was funny that you had great weather in your TR title and I was complaining that it was so hot I felt like I was going to die. I guess it depends on what ya like huh. At least there was no rain. How are you adjusting to this cold weather we are having. I was shivering outside tonight. I have to break out the coats. :sad2: Well I am anxiously waiting to read more.

Hey Lindsey! Thanks for coming over and joining in the fun! Glad you had a better at CMC for dinner, you remember right, I do have an allergy to shellfish, so a clam bake is out of the question! :lmao:

I have a few thoughts about the CM's I encountered as well! Stay tuned it will be in my TR!

You know what, I agree it was hot as he@$!!! But no rain = great weather to me on vacation! :rotfl: Oh, and I freaking hate the cold!!! I was shivering taking Devon to school today!!! I'm not ready for this weather yet, especially after the weather we had in Disney last week!

OK so was that room a standard room? Because that is exactly where I was thnking in that area.

I'm sorry your experience at Cape May was bad! Wow thats ashame about your jaw. I hope it got better for you!

Ok, so where was I... Ah Yes, we were getting ready to board the boat to head over to Hollywood Studios for a fun filled day in the Movies!!!

After a short little ride we docked at DHS and headed to the main enterance. Oh course I had to take a few pictures alond the way!

Once through the turnstiles, we were on a mission to get to TSM so grab fastpasses... Our fingers were crossed that the standby line was not to long so we would get to ride it twice! No such luck thou, even at 10:15a the wait time was approaching 65 minutes!!! :scared1: No thank you, so we put our FP's away and decided that we would go watch Voyage of the Little Mermaid, since there was less then a 5 minute wait till the next show. Of course mister man, Devon was not happy about this, he wanted to head right to ToT!!! I told him to relax that after this we would be making our way over. That seemed to appease him, b/c he disn't complain after that.

I just love this show!!!! Then again Little Mermaid is my all time favorite Disney movie, so I am a bit partial! This is about the onlt pic that came out during the show and even this isn't all that great!

Come to find out after the show that this was the first time Judy has seen it!! She loved it! Thought the special effects that they did were great!

Once the show let out, since we were right my Disney Animation, I asked Dev if he wanted to run in to see if the UP characters were out. He was down for that so we headed in to find that there was only 4 families in the line so we quick joined them. Here are a few pics

Ok this picture was while we were waiting in line... Devon is holding up Goofy's autograph that he got at the Cape May Cafe. Goofy actually drew himself, and Devon thought it was the coolest thing so he asked me to take a picture of it! (Sidenote: Devon is really big into drawing. He definitely gets that from his Dad, he's an artist! )

What an experience we had with Dug... Devon has a stuffed Nemo that hangs from his pin lanyard, and when Dug saw Nemo, he took the landyard off Devon's neck and stuffed it into his mouth! Dug ate Nemo!!! If you look closely in this picture, you can he the landyard hanging out of this mouth! Devon thought it was hilarious!

Once our time was up, we said our goodbyes to Dug and Carl and headed for the exit, but first we stopped to see what time the animators drawing classes ran (Devon was looking forward to going to the class for months!). Unfortunately the class that just started was full, but was told that they were running every 20 minutes or so all day long, so we decided to check back later. As promised to Devon we were now off to ride ToT!!!

We made it to ToT to find that there was a 15 minute wait so we walked to get in the Standby line, well once we got to the end of the line, I knew there was no way the line was only 15 minutes long. I was so excited!!! This was the first year that Devon was tall enough to ride!!! Which meant this since our last few trips to Disney were "Mommy & Me" trips, I haven't rode it in a long time!!! When I told Devon a few weeks before the trip that he was finally tall enough to ride, he told me and I quote "I think I will make a game day decision if I am going to ride or not"! Whatever!!! Anyway we make our way over to RNRC to find that there in only a 10 minute wait so we go to get in line... Well, in line Devon decides he is too scared to ride, so I try to reason with him telling him that he will be fine and that he is going to love it! That didn't work, he was still nervous, so what did I do... Brided the kid!!! Told him I would buy him whatever he wanted today! I know, I know, before you start thinking I am the worse mom in the world for making my kid ride a ride he didn't want to, let me just sya that I know my Devon, he is a thrill seeker, but always acts nervous first, plus I knew he really would love the ride! Ok so we watch the little preview show w/Aerosmith and get in line in the "ally" right were the limo takes off, well lets just say that Devon got VERY excited at how fast the take off was!!! But did tell me that he did not want to ride in the front seat yet! Don't you know we get to the front of the line and where are we told to go??? Yep you guessed it, the front row!!! Thank goodness Judy was with us, he switched with us and Devon and I rode in the 2nd row! Trouble adverted! :laughing: What a blast!! I freaking love that ride, might be my all time favorite rollercoaster!!! And what did Devon say as the ride ended??? I want to ride again!!! Of course you do Devon!!! See do I know my kid or what???

After spending a few minutes in the gift shop, we decided to get a frozen lemonade and smoothie and stroll around the stores on Sunset, before riding ToT. I just love the fact that we could use our snack credits for these drinks!

While browsing, Devon find his "bribe gift" at the Villains store. He wanted one of the Viylamation figures, so I said ok, but lets come back later and get it so you don't have to carry it around for the rest of the day! Surprisingly, he was ok with that! Once our drinks were done, we were ready to ride ToT!!! Woo Hoo!!! Man, Devon and I just love that ride!!! It never gets old!!!

After riding ToT, my jaw and sinuses were really starting to bother me again, so I pulled out my handy dandy Advil and hoped for the best. Figured the best thing to do at this point was to ride The great movie ride!!!

Such a classic ride!!! Once done, we walked over to Star Tours and there was no wait so we hopped right on! I don't know what it is about this ride, but it makes me so dizzy, I have to ride with my eyes closed all the time!! I know I am a wierdo! LOL!!!

Now... It was finally time to ride TSM!!! Woo Hoo!!! This is such an awesome ride!! I don't know why people think this ride is over rated? It's so much fun!!!

Just a heads up, if you are going to reqest a room in a 50's specify that you want either building 1 or 3 there. Building 2 is super far from everything. When I made my original room request I had it say 70's section or 50's building 1 or 3 only.

It was the weirdest thing, the parks looked crowded like when we were walking around, but the ride waits were minimal...I don't know, but it was really nice!

Hey everyone!! Sorry I been slacking with the updates from my trip!!! As most of you know, I'm in the process of finishing up my last few classes for my masters degree and have been completely overwhelmed since I got back from Disney... But, without further ado the conclusion on day 1!!!

So last I left off, we had finally ridden TSM and I was, well not feeling so great, but I promised Devon that we would do the animation drawing class so we grabbed some popcorn and a frozen coke and headed over for the next class to start.

While enjoying our snacks and waiting for the class to start, we noticed that Frozone from the Incrediables was out and had no line so Devon and I ventured over while Judy held our spots.

By the time we were done meeting with our pal Frozone, the class was just about to start and Devon was beyond excited!!! We get seated and the animator tells us we are drawing Mickey Mouse, to which Devon replied "YES"!!! Everything is going good in the beginning, I can't draw to save my life, I was more or less there for Devon, at this point I noticed that Devon's Mickey was looking better then mine! But, then, all of a sudden the animator really started picking up the pace, and Devon started to get very upset that he couldn't keep up with him, apparently Devon was not the only child feeling that way, other kids were actually crying. Overall, I know they are on a time constraint, but really with kids in the class, they really should take it a bit slower. Now that I threw my two sense in there, let's move on...

We headed over to streets of America and walked around taking in the scenery, headed over to Muppets but Devon was still alittle heated with not being able to finish up Mickey in the drawing class, so refused to watch it!! Whatever!!! So we proceed on and stopped at the umbrella that makes it rain when you stand under it!! So cute, of all the times I been to DHS, it never worked when we were there, so I was happy to get this picture!

Devon was in such great spirits as we approached RNRC, I on the other hand felt like death!!! At some point, I got a fever and all I wanted to do was go back to the resort, take some meds (luckily, I packed an antibiotic!) and lay down for a minute!! So we decided that after we rode rockin, we would head back to POP relax for a few and head to DTD to eat at Wolfgang Puck Express!!

As always, RNRC did not disappoint!!! I just love Devon's face in this picture!!!

We made our way to the exit and hopped right on a bus and headed back to POP to get refreshed and let Devon play in the fountains for a few minutes, thankfully he only got his feet wet!!!

We finally made it back to the room, I took my antibiotic and some Tylenol and laid down for a minute, while Judy and Devon went for a walk around the resort. Here are a few of the pics that Devon took!!! Got to admit, they are not bad for a 7 year old!!!

So after about 20 minutes or so Judy and Devon make it back to the room and start getting ready to head to DTD. At this point the meds kicked in and I was feeling like a new person, thank goodness!!!

Is it just me, or does it seem to take forever for a bus to DTD to come??? I swear, no matter what resort I stay at, I always wait the longest for this bus!!! After an uneventful ride, we arrive at DTD. We always get off the bus at the Marketplace, but it was close for renovations so we got off at the center of town. First think we saw...

What a sight!!! It looks really neat, and it must be very popular, there was a huge line for it!!! It's not my cup of tea though! I think I would freak out if I went up!!

Took us not even five minutes to get to Wolfgang Puck Express, which was a good thing, b/c we were all starving at this point.

The line to order was out the door, but it went rather fast...

Devon order the chicken strips and fries and Judy ordered some sort of club sandwich

Overall our experience here was great!!! Our waiter was very attentive and the food was awesome and plentiful!! So much so, we brought our left overs with us to eat later!!! This might be my new favorite CS place!!! We will absolutely be returning here our our next trip!!!

Now that our bellys were full, it was time to do some shopping!!! woo hoo!!!

Our first stop was to the Days of Christmas store, I get an ornament personalized with Devon's name on it every year, so that was the first item on the agenda. Devon decided that he wanted the ornament with Peter Pan sitting on top of red Christmas ball, so we make our way up to the counter to find out that personalization was not going to be done until Sunday!!! Seriously!!! It's only Wednesday!!! I never ran into this issue before, I always buy one early in the trip and have it shipped to the resort!! I was a bit annoyed, but figured I still had 4 more days to look else where, I was just praying I would be able to get one personalized somewhere else before we left!!!

We then headed over to Goofy's Candy Co. Devon wanted to show Judy all the cool stuff you can get there!!!

Man, was DTD really starting to get packed! I was shocked at how crowded it was for a Wednesday night!!! Spent at least an hour in once upon a toy!!! Devon bought a few things and we helped Judy do the build a potatoe head for her nephew.

Next we headed over to TrenD! I was so excited that I got to come here this trip, really didn't think I would make it this go around!!! Such an awesome store!!! I got a really cute watch!!! I just love it!!!

Walked right thru to team mickey and shopped around while devon played football with a CM!!! I ended up getting ESPN beer mugs for my dad and brothers and Judy bought a shot glass. She collects one from every vaycay!!! Anywho, while paying Devon had mentioned to the CM behind the counter that he liked his Meet the Robinsons pin, to which the CM asked if he wanted to trade, but Devon had left his pins at the hotel! As we were walking out the door, the CM said hey Devon lets see if you can catch, not thinking anything of, since he just was playing ball with another CM, the CM threw him the pin he wanted!!! He was so happy!!! He could not believe it!!! That CM really made my little guys night!!! I can not thank him enough!! Devon talked about this for the rest of the trip!!!

We browsed around World of Disney, but it was a freaking mad house so we left there quickly!!! Headed over to the lego store where Devon played for a little. It's just amazing what they can do with legos!!!

How crappy of the drawing lesson to be like that obviously it upset alot of kids. Its disney for goodness sake that should not happen. I cant beleive you were sick that is so sad. It seemed like you were quite a trooper though. I cant wait to hear more. I feel so bad that I havent been able to post on my board either. Hopefully in the next few nights I will have time. I cant wait to hear about day 2.

Nancy, you totally have to make a trip there!!! It is the coolest candy store I ever been it. You can even make create your own candy apples, pretzel sticks, etc...

Hi Colleen, I actually got my toes done at a small salon in Delaware County, but I am sure that any salon can do it!!! The nail tech looked at me like I was crazy when I told her what I wanted her to do. In the end see was like that was such a cute idea! :cutie: If you can print out the pic with my toes on it and bring it with you. That's basically what I did! :laughing:

just wanted to stop by and send a shout out to my online Eagles fan!!!! We had an awesome time at the game. It was our first time tailgating believe it or not. We finally went to a game where we knew other people that were going. What an amazing atmosphere. They kicked butt today especially donovan! oh and the return of trotter was awesome too. I use to love him. Everyone went crazy when they announced him. It was great. Hope your doing well. Check out my TR I am finally posting an update now while I try to stay awake for the phillies game. This is the 1st time I've really logged onto the DIS since i got back from my trip. So your report is the first I have read. Sounds like you had a great time! I noticed that as of Wed. the crowds were becoming heavy everywhere! You toll some really great pics that I was like hey I didnt see that or WOW I didnt take a pic of that, wish I did & I took over 300 pics! Next time! I'm debating on if I will do a TR I want to but I have been so lazy to log on. I didn't write anything down though it would just be off of memory. :confused3

Hey Lindsey, just got all caught up with you TR!!! Believe it or not, tailgating is actually my favorite part of the day!! Yes I know, I a nut, but we have so much fun!!! What a game you got to go to!!! I totally crashed before the game even started on sunday!!! :lmao: I was exhausted, I had a halloween party and a 1st b-day party that day to go to! Last nights game had me screaming at the TV!!! Those boys drive me crazy sometimes a swear!! :headache:

Hey everyone, so sorry for the lack of updates! Life has sort of been getting in the way these days!! I swear I feel like I have been nonw stop from morning till night since we got back from Disney! But, without further delay... The start of day 2!!! :yay:

Day 2: Thursday 9/24

We had another early start to the day as we have 8:50a breakfast ressies at 'Ohana!! I was so excited to eat here, we had plans to coming here on past vacations, but for some reason or another always seemed to miss our ressies!! Anyway, we hoped on the bus to MK and caught the monorail to the Poly. We arrived right at our check-in time and man was the line to check in long!!! Fortunately, it went fast, we were given on pager and got our pic taken and waited for about 20 minutes to be seated. By this time we were starving. Walking to our table our "cousin" had Devon grab a basket of pineapple bread and sticky buns. OMG they were so freaking good! Judy and I wanted to ask for another basket!! :rotfl: We were seated right by where the characters came out, so within seconds of sitting down this guy showed up!

The "cousin" who would be waiting on us arrived at this point and told us all about how the family style thing worked, what we would be getting to eat and took our drink orders. Can I just say, the POG juice, or and Devon called in the Stitch juice was amazing!!! Ok, so me being the difficult person that I am had a special request. I absolutely hate eggs! They literally make me sick to my stomach and I did not want then touching anything that I would eat so I asked my cousin nicely if they could put the eggs in a separate skillet, to which she replied no problem!! Well, a few minutes later, out comes the chef! Oh boy! Actually he was very nice, when he saw the request come back to put the eggs in a separate bowl, he just wanted to make sure I did not have an allergy or anything! How awesome was that? Only in Disney do you get that service.

Food came out quickly and I was very good.

Well, now we were finished eating and were just really waiting for Stitch to show up... All of a sudden a few cousins came out the door with a cupcake and were going to sing happy birthday to someone... To our surprise, they came to our table and start singing to Devon!! It wasn't his birthday!!! His birthday is not till January! The look on Dev's face was priceless. He didn't know what to do!!! Judy and I were LOL!!! So, Devon being the gentleman that he is said excuse me, but it's not my birthday, I think you got the wrong table! :rotfl2: Well that completely shocked the cousins, to which one of them responded, "we know it's not your birthday silly, but we're celebrating your unbirthday today away!" That worked for Devon!

At this point, we have already paid, and were just waiting for Stitch to arrive. We waited and waited... Sill no Stitch, luckily our cousin realized what the problem was and told us to come with her. She brought us right to Stitch! Devon was so excited! He just loves him!

We said our good-byes to Stitch, made a quick stop at the potty and off we went to catch the monorail to start our magical day at MK!!!

Overall impression of 'Ohana: While this was the longest we had to wait at check-in, I will totally be coming back here on future trips! Food was great, atmoshpere was awesome and service excellent!

More to come on day 2 later... Off to Devon's school to be his assistant for a science experiment he is conducting!

Ok, I have a minute so I am going to do a quick update. So late I left off, we were leaving the Poly and heading to MK to start our day! After a short ride via the monorail, we reached our destination!

Magic Kingdom, is by far my favorite of all the parks! The castle alone gives me the chills so I just couldn't wait to get thru the turnstiles, but first, a few pictures!

So over the bridge to Tomorrowland we go, hi ho hi ho!!!

As I mentioned in the beginning of day 2, Devon loves Stitch so of course the first ride we hit... Stitches Great Escape! Devon was so looking forward to having Judy go on this, he kept talking about the stinky surprises! lol!!!

After Stitch we headed over to Buzz. We ran into the animatronic trash can and were watching that for awhilie. It was so funny! Oddly enough, I didn't take any pictures! I think the heat was already getting to me! :laughing:

Buzz had a very short wait, we were on within 5 minutes, Devon and Judy rode together and I went solo. But I still got the high score out of the 3 of us!!! Yay Me!!!

It was not even 11a at this point and it was blasting outside! We decided to head towards Toontown and check out some characters. We saw the Faries and the princesses in December when we were there, so we bypassed them this trip and headed to the tear drop. For those of you unfamilar with this area, it is past the judges tent down by the railroad to the left. Every now and then they have some characters in training out there. Luckily, when we got there 2 were out!!! Big Al from Country Bears and Marie from the Aristocats. Devon was so beyond happy to see these hard to find characters!!!

Unfortunately, when we were in line to see Marie, she all of a sudden put her paw up and ran for it!!! In talking to one of the CM's apparently Marie overheated! Poor thing!!

So glad you guys liked O'hana, it sounds like the perfect breakfast. What is POG juice? I've never had the breakfast there.

It was really hot that weekend wasn't it? Even for Florida it was a bit much. The heat really hit us on the 2nd park day...that would be Friday...it was crazy hot that day.

I leave for France on Thurs so I don't know how much I'll be able to read/post before I go. :flower3:

POG juice is a mixture of pineapple, orange and guava juice! It's delish!!!

And I totally agree the heat on Friday and Saturday was darn near unbearable. I have been telling everyone that this was the hottest trip I been on to Disney!!!

After the quick run thru of toontown, we ventured on into Fantasyland, where we grabbed FP's for Pooh and to our surprise were given surprise FP's to Mickey's Philharmagic to use immediately, so we headed over there to kill the time until or FP's were good to ride Pooh. I got to say, I just love Philharmagic. It never gets old. After the show, we went to see how long the wait was for Dumbo... 30 minutes! No way, to me the rides just not worth that wait. There was however only a 5 minute wait for Snow White so we got in line and rode that. By this time, Devon was getting thirsty so I got him a drink on our way over to ride Pooh. Judy and I each got waters too. It was so very hot, we figured we better keep hydrated.

I just love that even the cups at MK were decked out for Halloween too! Yes, I know, I am easily ammused. It's the like things I tell ya! LOL!!

After a quick ride on Pooh, we headed toward HM. The line for Peter Pan was 45 minutes and small world was 30. We figured we hit those up during MNSSHP.

Of course we had to make a pit stop at the bathroom before riding HM b/c Devon was affraid he wouldn't make it thru the ride if he didn't go right now!!! Actually, the bit of air condition was a refresher! Off we go to ride HM.

I was quite surprised that there was virtually no wait at all to ride. That was sure fine with me! After ditching our hitchhiking ghost, we headed towards Liberty square. I was on a mission at this point to get Devon his personalized Christmas ornament. As you might remember from earlier in the report, I could not get one at the Christmas shoppe at DTD b/c personalization was going to take 5 days, and we were leaving the Sunday it would have been ready. So my goal was to check out Ye Old Christmas shoppe to see if they could have it done sooner. Well.... They could!!! Woo hoo!!! They told me that I could pick it up a 6pm that evening!!! Seriously?? I was so excited!!! Yes, Yes I know, its the little things!!! So I opted to just have it shipped back to POP so I wouldn't have to worry about carrying it around. Mission accomplished!!!

Next spot Frontierland, where we grabbed fastpasses for BTMRR, we figured, we grab FP's for Splash before we rode Thunder Mt. that way we would have the FP's to use after dinner. Our to Pirates now, but first we ran into these guys!

The wait to see them was rather short, but it worked out perfectly, b/c at this point it started to drizzle a bit, but luckily we were standing under a little alcove for the 10 minute shower.

Boy was I glad to be out of the heat!!! the dark and cool was very welcoming while waiting to ride. Even Devon made a comment that he was glad to be out of the sun and that he hoped the wait to get a boat was long!!! LOL!!! I'll tell you he says the darnest things sometimes!!!

That's about the only picture I took of POTC, I have so many from last trip that I just decided to enjoy the ride!

We still had a bit of time to kill before our BTMRR FP time, so we decided we would find a place to relax in the shade until then. Devon said he was getting a bit hungry so we got in line to buy him a pretzel. In line a CM came over to him and asked him if he wanted to learn to lasso while I got him a pretzel, to which Devon replied YES!!! It was so cute and believe it or not he picked it up pretty quickly! The CM even gave him a Sheriff's badge. Devon was so proud of himself!

At this point Devon realized that the Country Bear Jamboree was about to start, so he asked if we could go and watch it... Sure, why not, at least it would be cool in there.

This was the first time we saw this show, never really had any interest in seeing it before, except, during one of our Disney movie nights leading up to the trip, we watched the country bears movie, to which I mentioned to Devon that there was a country bears hall at MK, well that's all he needed to hear. We would definitely be going there this go around!

All in all, I thought the show was cute!!! Devon on the other hand thought it was too old school!! They really need to update that show was his comment leaving the theather!

By this time it was pushing 3:30p, and we had 4:40p ressies at Whispering Canyon over at WL, so we figured we ride Thunder Mt. Then head out to catch the boat to WL.

As planned we scored a few FP's for Splash first so we could use them after dinner. BTMRR is one of Devon's favorite roller coasters. I think it is b/c it was the 1st big roller coaster he could ride in Disney. I remember like it was yesterday the 1st year he was tall enough to ride. I think we rode it over and over again for a good hourr! LOL!!!

Once our wildest ride in the wilderness came to an end, we headed out for dinner. But first Devon had a minor meltdown... He realized exiting the ride that his Sheriff's badge that he just got for learning how to lasso was GONE!!! Poor kid was beside himself. We retraced our steps, but had no luck in finding it. I told him we had to walk past the stand where we met the CM and we would see if he could give you another one. That seems to put a temporary halt to the water works... Unfortunately the CM was not longer there!!! So being the nice mommy that I am told him that I would buy him a pin with calmed him right down!!! Now, that our minor problem was solved it was off to the WL!!!

We were at MK this day too! Although I never really saw characters I guess I didnt look around much for them. Wish I did. I have NEVER seen Peter Pan in Disneyland. We were in a lot of the same areas that day though

LOL!!! We may have!!! We were sitted in the middled section in the main dining hall right near the enterance way to the back room. Our waiters name was Lawerance. He was aswesome!!!

This was actually the first time we seen Peter and Wendy out. Devon was so excited. Kept asking Peter where the Lost Boys were! :rotfl:

Hi there, thanks so much!!! Ok, I am going to try and explain where Mike is the best I can. If you get confused, just ask any CM at Hollywood Studios and they will point you in the right direction. Ok, going down the streets of America and you will come Lights Motor Action Stunt Show. It was be in front of you. It is to the right of that. Looks like you are going during the holidays. If the decorations for the Osborne Spectacle of lights are the same as last year, there should be a huge manger set up right my the enterance to Mike. You will see the door. Hope that helps. Sully is usually out too! Enjoy!!

So we left MK around 4ish and hopped on the boat heading over to WL for our 440p ressies at Whispering Canyon. Can I just tell you that the boat ride over was hot as H-E double hockeysticks!!! :rotfl: Anyway, we arrived at WL pretty quickly and of course I had to take a few pics. When ever I have been to the WL on past occassions, I have always come thru the main doors, so it was nice to be able to snap a few pic of areas I only caught a glimpse of before!

After a leisurely stroll thru the grounds we went and checked in, even though we were still a good 25 minutes early for our ressie. We were given a pager and headed back into to the lobby to wait. Judy found a big comfy chair to relax in while Devon and I browsed around the gift shop. Can I tell you I have the sweetest son in the world, he bought be this cute little Goofy bracelet made of string!!! Shame I can't get the darn thing to stay tied around my arm!

Next we decided to stop at the restrooms to freshen up before dinner. At that point Judy came walking in with the same idea! :laughing: Just then our pager went off!!! Woo hoo!!! We walked up to the podium and where seated quickly in the main dining hall, which I had requested. Our server for our meal was Lawerance and he was awesome!!! He took our drink orders right away and was back in a flash with them!! Judy and I both got the mangoberry smoothie and Dev got a chocolate milkshake. Boy was the smoothie delish!! I highly recommend!!! Lawerence gave us a few minutes to decide what we wanted to order... So what did we get?? Judy order the steak with mash potatoes and veggies, I ordered the steak with mash potatoes and rice (I hate veggies!). Devon ordered the kids rib Skillet with mash potatoes and corn of the cob.

Waiting for your meal that WC seems to fly by with all the antics that are going on!!! Ketchup was being ran all over the place, we did the hokie pokie, sang happy birthday to about 5 people, and of course my all time fav the stick pony races!!! Here's Devon participating in the activities!

And now it was time to eat!!!!! Devon chowed down like he hadn't eaten in days!!! I swear, he cleaned the meat off those ribs like a champ!! Judy and I both thought the steak was great!!! The mash potatoes however were a bit dry for my liken, but still good!!! Dessert time, I got the smore cheesecake that I always get!!! So freaking good!!! Devon ended up eating half of it before running to go play with the lincoln logs.

We said our good byes to Lawerance our server and headed out for our journey back to MK!!! We were going to take the boat back, but it had just departed as we hit the dock, so we turned around and headed back towards the lobby to catch the bus to MK instead.

Overall: I absolutely love WC!!! Food is good and the atmosphere alone is worth the trip there!!! WC is always on our ADR list!

I so love the WL!!! I really hope to stay there one day! Even Devon who perfers the values for the fun decor, mentioned in our walk past the pool that he really wants to stay here too!!! Wishing and hoping that will happen soon!!!

Ok, back to the report!!! The bus to the MK came pretty quickly. It was only us and another family on it. I took the time to call my mom and dad to say hi. After a few minutes of chatting with them about our trip we arrived at MK around 6p. I was so surprised at how many people were already lined up on main street for the parade, I guess b/c it was still sort of light out it threw me off!

We were on a mission once we got thru the turnstiles though, we had a few FP that we wanted to use before Spectro, so we ventured towards Adventureland to ride the Jungle Cruise. We ran into this guy along the way!

Took a quick spin on the carpets before we rode JC! too!! Camel spit right in my face!! :laughing:

Finally made it to JC!!! I was so excited to ride this! It's been a few years since we went on!!! The skippers crack me up!!! Such a fun ride!!! By this time it was approaching 7p and the parade started at 8, so we made a bee line for Splash, hoping that we would still be able to get a decent seat for Spectro somewhere in Frontierland. I have to say even with FP's, the line for Splash was VERY long!!! I guess with it being so hot out, everyone wanted to cool off a bit!!! We made it to the front of the line about 20 minutes later, not too bad I guess... The CM asked how many were in our party and Dev told him 3. Well, he put us all in one row!!! Can I just tell you we barely fit!!! Apparently he wanted to get the line moving, b/c the people in front of us were complaining about be squished in to 3 to a row too!!! :laughing:

I have to say, I love Splash, but I am not for getting my hair wet, can I just tell you that I think it was the wettest I ever got on Splash. Most likely b/c our log was so heavy, since the CM was sqeezing 3 in each row!!! :goodvibes

By this time it was pushing 20 minutes till 8, so we made a quick stop at the bathroom so I could attempt to so something with my crazy hair and headed to find a spot to watch the parade. Luckily for us, as we were walking past Peco Bills a family was leaving, so we scored seats right in front and even had the little step to sit on to enjoy the parade! Yes!!!

And now the moment I been looking forward to all day!! The start of Spectromagic!!! It's my favorite parade, aside from the Boo to You parade. I just love the lights and the music. Makes me get all chocked up everytime a see it!!!

Once the parade ended, we followed the throngs of people headed towards the main Hub so we could get our spot for Wishes.

With Wishes over, we turned around and headed down the crazy busy main street!

It felt like it took forever to get to Casey's, so we ducked in there and browsed the other stores along Main Street to let the crowds die down a bit. We looked around for about 30 minutes... We were all so tired that we bit the bullet and headed to the bus stop.

Ok, now I am going to vent!!! Our bus stop was all the way at the end of the bus depot which is fine, but with the mobs of people in line for other resorts, there was a huge bottleneck which caused us to have to wait forever just to get to the POP line, which was virtually non existant once we got there!! Disney should really do a better job at dealing with the bus crowds at park closing, especially at MK!!!

Now that that is off my shoulder, back to the TR! We waited in line for about 5-10 minutes and boarded a bus back to POP. Thankfully a kind gentleman offered his seat to Devon... He was asleep in minutes!

The bus ride back to POP was non eventful. All I could think of was hopping in bed!!! I was exhausted after are fun filled, magical day at the MK!!!

Oh, and we had this little guy to greet us when we returned to our room!

Hey reese. Just read all about your day 2. Its so funny because just about all the stuff you did is exactly what we did on the same day I guess just at different times. We had BF at ohanas and lunch at WC. The peter and wendy were even the exact same. I would absolutely agree with the bus problem at the end of the night. Imagine trying to get all the way to the end with a double stroller :scared1:. People think because you have a stroller they can just walk around you and cut you off like I am not actually waiting to get in line. I was getting so irritated that night. Our line for ASsports was so long. We waited about 30-40 minutes for a bus. That was the worst I have ever seen it in all the times of been to disney. Even during the peak seasons. Ok well I will stop venting now, sorry. Anyway it sounded like you had a wonderful day. I am excited to hear what is next.

PS. What the heck was going on with the eagles today? That was horrible to watch. At least the phils are looking better! Hope they can pull off the win tonight.

Great TR so far. We were there Sept 16-20 & it was hot & crowded. We were used to very few people at that time of the year. we've been to the MK when it was shut down at noon because of too many guests. The crowds were by no means that bad, but much worse than we were used to.
On our last trip we were the only two people on the ME & this was early afternoon.

Things seem to be changing with the times people visit.
Eagerly waiting for the next installment. Maybe I will do a TR of our trip.
