Just booked our 14-night stay in the "World" for February 27 to March 12, 2010. Wooooooooohooooooo!!!:yay::yay::yay:

It finally feels real! We usually book way before this (like as soon as it is humanly possible to book) but this time we wanted to wait to see what kind of deals we'd get. We did a 7for4 package and a 7 night room-only reservation. Hoping to get a room-only deal, too:thumbsup2

My wife and I just booked at CSR from 2/13-2/20 for our 5th Anniversary with the buy 4 get 3 free deal. The last time we were there was for our honeymoon in July of 2007. I just can't believe we just paid less for this trip than we did 3 years ago when we booked our honeymoon. I'm so excited I can barely contain myself.

We will be spending the month of February in Orlando but will only be visiting WDW for one day. We wouldn't have been able to afford even that one day but thanks to the new Volunteer program, the tickets will be free! :yay:

I'm not sure yet which day we'll be visiting the MK but it sounds like it would be in our best interest to go in the first half of February because of crowds. We're looking forward to it!

Just got our itinerary back from our itinerary planner. Polynesian club level lagoon view. Fantasmic package at Brown Derby. Breathless cruise for illuminations with dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse. We're booked on the 4/3, Jan 31- Feb 7th!!! Staying at CBR. It'll be me, DH and DD4. In-laws will join us for four nights at the end of our trip. We have plane tickets purchased and a few ADR's made already. This is my schedule so far:

Sun: Arrive at noon, check in, go to DHS. We have a 4:00 ADR for 50's PT.
Mon: All MK, couter service for us!
Tues: Per DH's request, Sea World
Wed: In-laws arrive at noon, MK rest of the day for all of us
Thur: Boys are golfing, girls are doing Akershus breakfast and Epcot. Then that evening DH and I will have our date night at Epcot, ADR for 8:00 at Chefs De France
Fri: Family day at AK
Sat: Boys are fishing and girls will do whatever tickles our fancy!

I'm very excited as I am the only Disney nut and evryone is letting me go wild with the planning and such.

Looks like there are going to be a lot of us there!

We usually go in April, however we are looking at February this year. How is the weather in mid to late February? My kids love to swim. Are the pools at the resorts open? If they are open is anyone in them? Probably too cold for me and my wife, but if it was mid 70s my kids would probably jump right in. I've been in the pools at the resorts, but I'm not sure if they are heated. Hopefully I can add to this thread legitimatly soon enough.

With ADR's made and plane ticket's bought, now it's just the extreme waiting game. At least the holidays are in between to keep us all distracted for a few days.

This is my very first trip to the world! I paid off my mortgage 18 months ago and have been saving since. It has been on of my life's goals to go. DH isn't interested- we don't have kids so I am borrowing some! I am taking my nephew and two nieces. Sister is going as well. I am over the top excited!!! We will be telling the kids mid December when we celebrate our family Christmas. Figuring out how to tell them has been almost as fun as planning the trip itself!
We are going Feb 11th to 17th- bad time crowdwise but concerns about the amount of school the kids miss require it. We will still have an amazing time!

Love to see the anniversaries and baby's first trips... We're there last week of Feb. and doing our 3rd drive and first off-site stay since my engagement!

17 years ago my husband and I drove to Disney as boyfriend & girlfriend in my brand new honda civic and got engaged while on Peter Pan's Flight! Since then we've been there for our honeymoon and countless trips with the kids and 2 adult only vacations (one for our 10th anniversary).

Feb will be a surprise trip for our kids- we won't tell them until they're in the car- and the first time our kids have stayed off-site (wow! they've been spoiled!). They've both been at least once a year (more often twice) since they've been born and they're 10 & 7. This trip will be different, but with the surprise, expect it to memorable!!

We are in WDW from 2/14-2/19 staying at Bonnet Creek. (couldn't get ressies at BWV this time :sad1:)

But we are starting our Florida adventure on 2/10, when we land in Miami. We will go to the Everglades, snorkle in Key Largo, shell and Kayak w/ Mantees in Ft. Myers for a couple of days, then beat feet to WDW on 2/14. We will cap the trip off with a visit to Cape Kennedy and a day on the beach. Then back home to the rain in Seattle. :sad2:

I am in the throws of mad planning right now. Got all the ressies, working on touring plans, menus, and shopping and packing lists. :laundy:

We've been there that week 7 times and the weather is quite unpredictable. One year it was in the 80's the whole time and the year before that it never got above 70. It all depends on the year. For the most part though, the weather is usually nice. Besides that one time when it never got above 70, every other time we went down there it was always above 60 and rarely rained.

I just crossed it out with a sharpie and wrote WL on it and then told the gal at the ME check in desk that I had changed resorts, but noted it on my ME tags. She did make a note of something somewhere so be sure to tell them when you check in for ME :)

So tonight I started making a list of everything i want to do this trip. I only want to visit 2 parks in 8 days, but I want to do a nice bit of resort hopping, shopping, relaxing, and other things. I'm worried now I won't have enough time to do it all:eek::laughing: Last year I never found time to visit some of the resorts I've never been to and I would love to try to visit them again this year, so we'll see how that goes.

Also, I have a question for all February goers. My dad has always talked about the value resorts filling up first, which I do believe. So after going online today I found out rooms were still available for President's day week at the Pop and All Star Resorts:eek: So do you think this is a sign of the times and means crowds could be alittle less:confused3 Just curious, I don't really care either way, but it could be nice to see lighter crowds.

First timer here in all things! First time on the board, planning our VERY first Disney trip for all of us!!!
To say we are excited - and that I am overwhelmed - is a gross understatement. haha!
We will be staying at All-Star Movies from Feb 2-11.

We got our "Mickey mail" this week, DD and I got new bathing suits (here's to hoping Feb is warmer than January has been!!), and I just got a new purse to carry around the World. :cool1:

I'm ready - but it's still not February!

I bought me a purse too! It's a light, over the shoulder bag, and I'm putting my pins on the front flap so I don't have to wear a lanyard too :goodvibesI almost have all of our little travel toiletries, there's a little group of them on my bathroom sink, a reminder of how close we are (Feb 2 - 7). Bought some new athletic shoes, and some for my DD, who has grown out of her other shoes again! Gonna get the suitcases out of the attic next weekend! :yay:

if your going that day anyway - I would leave early for the viewing in a heartbeat - I have never seen it that close but am told it is amazing - just keep your eye on the offical launch site our friends were down over the summer and it was delayed a few times

We are going for one week and my in-laws will join us for four of the days. This trip was their Christmas gift to us! And I am loving it!

2. Staying at a Mod on site, which is a first for me!:woohoo:
3. All the wonderful meals we have planned and how accomodating WDW has been to my DH's Gluten free needs.;)

I'm heading down two weeks from today too. I actually leave NY on the 11th to South Carolina--amtrak. Then leave SC on the 14th at 5 in the morning and get to Kissimmee at 130pm. Amtrak again. I did some packing. Packed the electronics bag. Camera, DVD player, DVDs, chargers, batteries,plugs. Will pack laptop the night before. I packed two pairs of jeans and the rest capris. Some tshirts. Will buy more in SC. Packed some tshirts for my son. Have to buy him a few outfits. Bathing suits are packed. Pulled out my cooler so I can purchase drinks, goodies, bread, condiments, cheese and meat to make sandwiches. Packed the utensils and napkins. Have to remember to pack the toothbrushes and other toiletries too. Some I will pack now and the rest next week.

They know the weather is coming. I'm freaking out. We may lose a whole day at the park and even lose our hotel and dining plan for the first day if we don't get out. I can't believe they're predicting another storm. I'm glad you were able to re-book. I am cautiously optimistic about getting out on Monday. JetBlue's website says they are allowing anyone booked Fri. though Sun. to re-book without penalty.
