December 17-22 trip question??

Hi all,
Trying to get my dates ready for when the AP rates come out or new codes. What do you think the crowds will be like for December 17-22. I know the first week of December will be great but don't want to take the kids out of school. HELP! I hate the crowds !! Going in early December has spoiled me.

I have noticed you are a FL resident too.... if you hate the crowds (like I do) and are use to the first 2 weeks of Dec (like I am)....you will hate that week. I did it the year before last & will never go that week again! By our last day there ( 22nd ) the MK was soooo crowded that we couldn't walk around Fantasy-Land. Our bodies literallly went with the crowd. Small World was about a 45 minute wait if that says anything. As much as I love the parks (and I do!), I left to go shopping....it was less crowded shopping days before Christmas than the MK was. The other parks were crowded as well. Last year I tried the first week in Jan (so I didn't have to pull the 3 kids out of school) and it was fairly crowded....compared to the first 2 weeks of Dec.....but not crowded at all compared to the 3rd week of Dec!!!! I would go the first week of Jan again.....but never that week of Dec......stick witht the first 2 weeks if you can!

I have to say you are in for a BIG shocker. I thought that it was suppost to be one of the least crowded times of the year. We went 12/12/01-12/24/01 and it was crowded. I have to say that there was a lot of people but we did not wait more than 20 min. for a ride until the21st of Dec. and from that day on we explored ever other part of WDW besides the parks. The parks were truely closed at 9:30am because they hit there max. level.

Well, I guess I better think of something else. How do any of you deal with taking your kids out of shcool. My girl is in private school and they really frown on unexcused absences. :confused: I don't even want to bring it up to the teacher when the time comes because of the look and attitude I get.

I know where your coming from but there is a point that I had to reach when people whould give me that look. I know just the one your talking about. But I have finally come to the point of saying "Who gives a Cra-!" It's my kid and I'll do what I want with her. So I say if you want to take your DD on a vacation then go for it.
