We just got back from "the world" and already have the itch to go back! (don't we all) we were fortunate enough to hit it at the right time and got the dining plan free. I loved the dining plan! Now that I am trying to budget for a drip to WDW every year, I definintely want to do the dining plan (free or not) but if we decide to buy a timeshare or the DVC, can we get the dining plan? Let me know.
Thanks All!

DVC members can purchase the dining plans. They can't get them free.
Non-Disney timeshares cannot purchase the dining plans unless the booking is a trade through DVC.

Oh my goodness... this is too complicated for me :)

It's not that complicated - if you are not staying at a Disney-owned resort, you cannot get the dining plans. That includes all offsite timeshares. If you are staying at a DVC resort on trade (you don't own DVC, but your timeshare can effect a trade through DVC so you can stay at a DVC resort), you can get the dining plans.

so, if I buy a timeshare based in Vegas, that is tradable for Saratoga Springs or The Beach Club and a few others, then we can purchase the dining plan??
(I believe this one is through Interval International)

I believe anything on Interval International is tradable with DVC. You may want to ask on the DVC board.
