We are the next group to board!!! I am getting super excited now.:dance3:
One week from today we'll all be sailing away on the Wonder!!! :cool1:
I am just giddy with excitement! Everything is in relation as to what we will be doing a week from now!
dd #4 gets out of school tomorrow at 12:50. dd #3 not until Friday at 12:15. And the school has it all figured out...finals on Thursday and Friday! No skipping out on that one.
Can't wait to be on board with all of you:cloud9:
Thank you for the Groupon heads up - got our tickets before the sale ended. Sweet savings.
I'm going to try to get on near our hotel (YWCA Hotel across from stadium), which is about Stop #21 for the Big Bus. There's only one other stop before the loop begins again at the office. We'll be doing this on Monday after a nighttime arrival on Sunday.
We plan on using ours on Monday also. Vancouver in a day or two was a hard one for me. The Big Bus tour made it a bit easier. We'll do that on Monday, do what we can and then pick up where we left off on the Tuesday when we return if need be. No schedule for the return drive so we can take it easy.
Finished my FE gifts this afternoon. Hope everyone likes them

If you've got a window or verandah, you might bring a clothing pin to make sure the curtains are really closed - the sun is going to be up earlier than you may want to be.

Finishing our packing, house sitter coming by for instructions...almost set! Rewarding myself with dinner out so I don't have any dirty dishes to finish up before we leave tomorrow!

15 Minutes of work left... Thank goodness!
My daughter has 1 hour of school in the morning... We just have to go for the award ceremonies, and she's on honor roll, so I hate not to go.
Then... PACK, PACK, PACK!!!! Because, while I had good intentions to pack each kid the last 2 nights, that didn't happen.
Flight leaves Saturday morning... So ready for VACATION!!!
See you guys in a few days!

One of those popup laundry baskets that you can keep dirty laundry contained to one spot. I don't like the bulk of the suitcases laying in the room to put dirty clothes back in, and I really don't like it just laying on the floor. You can get them at Walmart/Target.

That's funny...I packed that in last night, along with a few clothes pins!
When we travel, we do the over the door shoe holder. Ours hangs on the door and the pockets are mesh which is important to be able to see what is in the pocket without digging around. I found mine years ago, but recently at Big Lots, I found one similar and bought it for a friend and it will work very well. I hang it while I'm packing and put a lot of misc stuff in there: 1st aid kit, extra sun glasses, scissors, tape, sun screen, q-tips, lip balm, sanitizer....all those little things you need a place to put them and there is not much storage in the bathrooms on the ship. I just roll it up and pack it! Simple.
Looking forward to meeting everybody. See you all at 3:45 outside of Triton's on Tuesday.
Safe travels!

I'm not sure if we are still part of the group because it's been so long since I've been on this message board. Can someone tell me if the Green's (arg73) are still included or have we been kicked out :)? Also, our family friends I had originally signed up...are they included still? If so, how many people are we buying for?
Thanks!!

Just talked with DCL. Here's the current movies (this should be the line-up until Cars 2 comes out in June):
Pirates of the Caribbean 4
African Cats
Mars Needs Moms
I am No. 4
Gnomeo and Juliet
Tron Legacy
Tangled
Toy Story 3
I didn't ask (and she didn't say) which were in 3D; however, on the Magic in January, all movies available in 3D were shown in 3D.

That is so awesome! I told you if you saw someone in Auburn clothes it was my family!
We have had a terrible time getting there! We are still in Denver! We missed our connection from Colorado Springs because of high winds in Denver. We didn't think we were going to make it. All the flights to Vancouver are full tomorrow! They found us an alternate route though. We are now waiting for a late night flight to Seattle. Then we will sound the night in the airport and get an early flight to Vancouver.
Lord willing we will be there before that ship leaves!
Of course we won't have bathed or changed clothes in two days so we may be looking scary in the atrium tomorrow!
As long as we're there!!:)

This ranks as my favorite cruise so far - really enjoyed the scenery of Alaska - how fun to be in the pool while cruising so close to snow-capped mountains (on both sides!). We had a lot of fun on our excursions including the float plane (again, my favorite due to the scenery - we flew with Island Wings).
Can't believe I was just on the boat this morning and now am at home - although I am still feeling the up and down sway of a ship.

Would be interested to know about your flights since we are both in HSV. We still haven't booked air yet as finding a flight that leaves late enough to get off ship and through customs and still gets home same day has been a bit of a challenge. Did you fly in/out of Seattle or Vancouver? Any suggestiosn would be helpful! Thanks so much and can't wait for our cruise in August!
what an amazing cruise!!! just wanted to thank everyone for all the FE gifts!!! my boys had so much fun with the FE........the tote bags came in super handy for our swim gear!! can't wait to try some of the recipes in the cookbook.....and loved all the treats!!
i'm sure you will have an amazing picture to put into the magnetic frames we gave you.......=D (i'm planning to print out a wallet sized photo and trim it down to fit into the frame.....)
we are staying a few nights in vancouver and then two nights in whistler.......before we head home.......
hope everyone gets home safely! can't wait to see some pics!!

Ugh! I actually had to cook dinner tonight. Boy I sure miss my server and assistant server. How wonderful it was to come down and have all those choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and have someone who remembered little things like what you wanted to drink with your meals,:goodvibes.
TravelinCyn, I don't know if those were our Alaska magnets on your door but since we had extra magnets, my DD and DS started putting them on doors that had decorations they liked. We also had extra keychains they wanted to put on peoples door handles but I thought that might be just a little too strange.
Loved getting the fish extender gifts. It was fun to see what people left each day!

So has anyone done trip reports or blogs? I love to read trip reports from cruises I've been on. Especially the exact same cruise!
I'm almost done with mine, but it's from another board and I'm not sure I'm allowed to link it here. I may cut and paste it on the DIS. :)
