I have been working on scrapping our first Disney trip (6 years ago!) for the last few months. I only work here and there when I get time. I am ALMOST done. I have about 3 or 4 layouts left and that is it!

But I am feeling so burned out on Disney. I have no mojo to finish these last few pages. I keep telling myself to just do it and get it done. I have everything organized to do it--all my papers and embellishments are out and accessible. It seems silly to put it all away when I am so close to done.

Should I just put it all away or make myself finish so I can have it done?

personally, I would walk away from it. :) go scrap something else, make a mini book, just do something else. :) If you make yourself scrap it just to be done, you may not be happy with the end result. I still have half of 8th grade waiting for me.... decided to scrap the summer vacation instead. good luck! :goodvibes

I agree....walk away. You most likely will slap something together that you will end up hating.
I try to mix up my scrapping with other subjects to avoid burnout. But I always feel the need to finish what I started and it gets hard to walk away...especially when you are so close to being finished.
Don't worry...scrappers block usually doesn't last that long and you will be inspired before you know it!

I would leave it and come back to it later too. I'd hate to throw something together that I just didn't love.

Good luck!

Definitely agree- with time away you may have some inspiration, fresh with new ideas, to get it completed!

Personally I recommend looking at other WDW layouts for some that really strike you and scraplift it! :thumbsup2

Do you have a scrapper friend who could switch layouts with you? She does a Disney layout for you and you scrapbook some of her photos for her. It needs to be someone who is kinda "on your level" and shares a similar style. I did this with a friend and we switched photos that we were both having burnout scrapping. It was amazing what she came up with for my Disney layouts I gave her photos for. In turn I had a chance to scrapbook her pumpkin patch photos and baby pictures-- so refreshing of a change! The best part was it got finished and it's no longer hanging over my head!

If you can, leave it ofr a bit and do a quick and easy project to help the creative juices flow. DOn't pack it away, though, or, if you're like me, you may never come back to it.

I think you should finish. For me, if I put it all away, it doesn't come back out for a while. Let it rest for a day or 2, then put on your mickey mouse ears and get back in the game!!! :thumbsup2

Perhaps you could share with us some of your layouts. Then we can give you all kinds of encouraging words, and that will pep up your mojo. Whatdya think???
