Need Help

HI everyone. I just came back from my last cruise in Jan ans It's already almost time for my next one in Sept.

I have a few questions. What are the names of the hotels near the ship? What city are they in? And what city is the car rental place in? I was trying to make reservations online for the hotel and car nd had no luck finding port canaveral for car or hotel.

Also I never go any thing from DCL about joining castaway club, should I call them before my trip?

A lot of people, ourselves included, stay at the Radisson hotel in Port Canaveral. It's only a mile or so from the ship. There is an Avis rental desk right at the hotel.

As far as Castaway Club... Don't hold your breath! There really isn't anything you need to do to sign up - all Disney cruisers are automatically members, but it can take Disney forever to get your membership info to you. If you're cruising with Disney again, DCL or your TA should be able to reference a CC member number in order to get you any discounts or other CC perks. We just got our CC member info in the mail last week, and we cruised 9 months ago. But, we booked our upcoming Disney cruise several months ago, and our CC number was noted by our TA and we were guaranteed our on-board credit, etc.

Look under Cape Canaveral for the Avis and the Radisson. You made the same mistake I did and used "port". The Avis locator code is P3F.

Dave has alot of Space Coast Area (Cocoa Beach) lodging options on his website. www.dcltribute.com -- we stayed at the Hampton Inn in April. Short walk to the beach -- free breakfast in the AM. Very nice/clean rooms. Here is a direct link to Dave's listing:
