My mom is a travel agent and I can also confirm this. She has already got the code for her clients this morning.

Travel dates are:
For stays most nights 11/1/09 - 12/24/09 AND 1/3/10 - 3/27/10

I was just talking with Chelsea (CM) at Disney and she said that there is NOTHING currently running for Jan. 2010. But she did tell me to keep checking back on the site as it can be updated at anytime with new promos.

What kind of deal is it? If those dates are correct, and my current reservation is from 1/1 on, would I treat the reservation like a split stay so the deal could apply for the 1/3 on portion and I would pay rack for the first two nights?

If there are deals... that is what I would do in your shoes. Anything to save money.

I hope there are some really good deals, we are going in March.

Was that a previous trip free dining or is it being offered in 2010 as an alternative to 4/3 and 5/2?

On with them right now. I am being told 4/3 (or 5/2) is the only deal available right now. If your stay starts earlier than 1/3, as mine does, the first two nights will be booked as room only and you have to buy separate tickets. For us, looks like our tix will cost a little over $200 more (2 day tix plus 8 day tix instead of 10 day tix). I don't see why we can't just get 10 day tix... I'll try to get the code.

Can anyone tell me what would happen if your travel dates are Mar 20-29? (Easter rates start on 3/28). Also, how do they adjust for weekends? Which days are "free"? The cheaper weekday rates or the weekend rates?

Any other specifics about this new 4/3? Like if you have to buy tickets for the entire number of nights of your stay? Or if you get any sort of gift card during the peak season dates (like last year)?

Has anyone even posted which dates this deal is good for yet? I understand January, but what about Feb or March?

You now have to buy ticket for a minimum of 4 or 5 days, depending on if you have the 4/3 or 5/2... No more one day minimum ...

4/3 code is PDL. Good luck to all! I switched resorts, as my Bay Lake view room at the Contemporary wasn't available under the deal. Only CL rooms in Contemporary available. This was less than what we were paying before for a non-CL room, but Polynesian came in MUCH cheaper.

OK, just got off the phone with a very professional gentleman called Ferris(?)

Set up a totally new reservation.

I mentioned that I had read about a new 7 nights for the price of 4 offer on 'DISBoards.com'. He confirmed that it existed (did not require a code) and set up the following:

Checking in on 12/11, checking out on 12/18 (7 nights)

Polynesian Garden View, 3 adults (extra $25 a night - those darn 19 year old kids).

7 Day passes with the Hopper Option (only).

Total Price: $2,657.37 (I declined the travel insurance - anyone else notice that the travel insurance costs more than the cancellation charge, no sense in that at all)

So if you don't get the offer the first time, just keep calling - it's available.

deal details are up on mousesavers:

Disney Rewards Visa 7-for-4 or 7-for-5 Package Offer for November 2009 - March 2010
Disney Rewards Visa cardholders can purchase a fantastic buy 4, get 7 or buy 5, get 7 vacation package offer valid for stays November 1 - December 24, 2009 through January 3 - March 27, 2010. (Disney says some dates are blacked out for this offer, but it's possible a few hotels are available during those dates.)

I expect the same offer will be made available to the general public on Thursday, October 1.

Here are the details:

Buy a 4-night/4 day vacation package at a MODERATE, DELUXE or DELUXE VILLA resort, get a 7-night/7-day package. That's 3 FREE hotel nights and 3 extra days on your theme park admission tickets, equivalent to a 43% discount on your room and tickets! You must buy a package that includes at least 4 nights' accommodations at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel plus minimum 4-day Magic Your Way Base Tickets to qualify for the 3 FREE nights and the 3 extra days on your tickets.

Buy a 5-night/5 day vacation package at a VALUE resort, get a 7-night/7-day package. That's 2 FREE hotel nights and 2 extra days on your theme park admission tickets, equivalent to a 29% discount on your room and tickets! You must buy a package that includes at least 5 nights' accommodations at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel plus minimum 5-day Magic Your Way Base Tickets to qualify for the 2 FREE nights and the 2 extra days on your tickets.

Extra days on a ticket don't cost that much, so the primary savings are on the hotel room portion, so the higher category hotels offer the most total savings.

To calculate your approximate savings on a "buy 4, get 7" package at a Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort:

Multiply the room rate (2009 or 2010) times 3 (savings of 3 nights' room rate).
Add $9.58 per person (ticket savings for the 3 extra days).
The total is your savings.
To calculate your approximate savings on a "buy 5, get 7" package at a Value resort:

Multiply the room rate (2009 or 2010) times 2 (savings of 2 nights' room rate).
Add $6.39 per person (approx ticket savings for the 2 extra days).
The total is your savings.
You can stay longer than 7 nights (up to 10 nights) with this package, but there is a maximum of 3 free nights and 3 extra days per ticket, per stay, if you will be staying in a Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort, or 2 free nights and 2 extra days per ticket, per stay, if you will be staying in a Value resort.

You can stay less than 7 nights, but you still must purchase 4 nights at a Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort, or 5 nights at a Value resort, so you'll end up with fewer free nights/extra days. Obviously a 7-night stay is the best deal!

You can add the Quick Service Dining Plan for 2009 or 2010, the regular Dining Plan for 2009 or 2010, or the Deluxe Dining Plan for 2009 or 2010, but you will pay full price for your dining plan (no free days of dining).

The package includes standard Magic Your Way Base Tickets. You can upgrade them with the Park Hopper, Water Parks & More and/or No Expiration option(s), but you'll pay the regular price for those upgrades.

This offer cannot be applied to the Premium or Platinum packages or to "split stays" (for example, 4 nights at one hotel, 3 nights at another).

You must book this special package by 12/20/09.

I think the design of this new deal may just be the reason we try a Moderate! I am sad it is not 7 for 4 at the values but happy with any savings.

Do you think that they will extend the dates to include April/May(after Easter and before memorial day)?

The deal ends on 3/27 and you can't get the discount past that day. I was just on with Disney and wanted the same week you have but was told that booking had changed from last year (you could get full discount if you booked the last day if would include the whole week). New policy is vacation must end on last day of deal to get the discount.

Well even though I'm not thrilled with this deal I booked. It's not as good as last year, no gift certificate :confused3 but it may be the best I'm going to get. I called and booked Feb 15-22 at PO Riverside standard view with Quickservice and 7 day base tickets. For 1 adult and 2 children my total was $1920. I so wish we weren't traveling during peak season, we've never paid these prices! Oh well I guess it's better than taking the kids out of school for a whole week. Again! It was only $150 more to book a mod than a value so even though we like POP a lot we're trying PO Riverside.

Oh BTW my CM asked where I heard about the dal and I told her the DIS. She said she was just asking because the deal wasn't supposed to be released until Wed but if people called up and specifically asked about it they could give it to them today. When I asked about it being tied to Disney Visa she said it wasn't a Disney Visa promotion and anyone could book it.

Please help... I was so hoping there would be a free dining deal. For myself, DH and DD4 it would be:

$1382 for the 5/2 deal - no dining plan
OR
$1451 for 5 nights/4 days with dining plan

I don't know what to do. I like the idea of 7 night so we could not be as rushed. But I think it will kill our wallets for food.

my dates are Presidents Week Feb 15-22nd. Maybe because of the day you are checking in. I would try back and then maybe try to checng your check in date by 1 day and see if that helps. Also have them try other resorts to see if it's blacked out at another resort choice.

I'm looking to book travel to WDW late April or early May for our 10th anniversary, and to a large degree, my choice of where to stay depends on the promotions that are offered (i.e., if the 4/3 or 5/2 deals are extended, I'll probably book the Poly, otherwise I may look at less expensive options).

Anyone have any ideas when they would roll out promos for those time periods?

Thanks

Assuming that the BB offered in November will be FD, it's highly doubtful the the BB will be for the same dates as the 4/3 deal.

Even if by some miracle they are over the same dates, this would be combining discounts which is something Disney doesn't do. If this miracle does happen, just do the math and figure out which deal is the best one for your personal situation.

We are staying 4 nights off property first with family so then I would have to buy 3 day tix plus 4 day (with 3 free) for all of us and that would be much more expensive then just getting 10 day tix and skipping the 4/3 discount! Quick question that I hope someone can help me with. We changed a BB to the 4/3 at POFQ with reg dining and only wanted 5 days of tickets, she said we had to have 7 days. We will not use those two extra days. The buy 4 get 3 free is only the room rate correct? and tickets are still regular price? The CM acted as thought we are paying nothing for the 2 extra days of tickets so there is no reason to take them off the ressy. I am confused! We have plans those two days for la Nuba and MVMCP.

Is there a way to stay with the family for the second half of the trip instead of the first? That way you could do the package, then upgrade the tickets to the 10day tickets

You pay for 4 day tickets and get 7 days. It only about $10 worth of free tickets per person but those extra days are free.

I just got off the phone with Tracy. She told me that she was mentioned in this thread. :goodvibes and said she knew right away who you were based on what you posted. LOL! She said that you were a real sweetheart.

Anyway...if y'all get Tracy, she rocks!!!! We just had the best chat ever, she was so patient, and...........she helped me save $53 (and .48cents ) from my original booking (room discount) from August. Yipppieee!!!

If you get Tracy consider yourself lucky :cheer2:

Tracy: Thanks for your help! When DS gets home we will look at the resorts and have him pick. :O)

I just wanted to tell both of you ladies thank you. You both gave me some serious pixie dust. pixiedust: Usually it us giving our guest the pixie dust :) But you both gave it back to me. Thank you for making me realize why I get up early every morning and loving my job. It is people like you who make our job so fun and enjoyable. I worked 16 hours yesterday and when I came home I had to show the hubby these wonderful posts. He just laughed and told me he already knew Tracy rocks ;) Thank you again and enjoy your magical trips I know you will ;) :cutie:

Thanks, I was under the impression that the buy 4 get 3 was the room rate only.

Tina

sorry i did not get back sooner - my phone went down in a storm yesterday.

anyways.......
yes it was full price, i cannot take advantage of the deal because they are no longer allowing check in the last day and still be able to get the deal.
i would have to check in on the 20th to get the 7 day package. which i cannot do because spring break for us is 3/29-4/6.
atleast this is what my CM told me after she asked a supvisor. I have not had time to call back to confirm thats true or not. i will get a chance tomorrow to call again. ( on lunch now, and no time to call this evening)

it would have been sweet though. the 4 day price was $1,6xx.xx for 7 days if it would have worked with my dates.
