Don't know if anyone noticed, but Disney has moved EEC to June 12, 2010. This means as of now there are no more Sept or Oct races at WDW???

Does that open up for something new???

We saw that it was moved as well - seems odd to do this race in June; I was at Disney in 2009 on June 12th and it was so hot and humid that we spent the whole trip running from air conditioned building to air conditioned building - I'm not sure I could bring myself to sign up for this race fearing that it would be like that again.

...then again, I'm not sure anything could be worse than running in it this year, so who knows!

The race would be different as in June it doesn't get dark until much later than late September!

hmm...someone was talking about the possibility of disney adding a midnight race (they said they had taken a survey at one of the expos, with that listed as a possibility)...so later at night makes sense. I'm still not sure I'd want to run a race in June, though, even in the middle of the night!

Have to say I'm happy to see something in the summer. We were planning a trip for early June anyway

A midnight race would be great, or even a 10:00pm race. I love night races and if you are going to run in FL in June it is best to do so after dark.

I have a feeling if it is at night it might not be in AK though. They might not want to disturb the animals at night, but having something that showcases the nocturnal animals could be fun. Who knows, we'll see.

The race this year was at night through the Animal Kingdom - it started at 7:30, but a lot of people didn't actually start until 8-8:30 because of how they do the waves...the course itself shut down at 10:30, but the party went until midnight. They just don't have you go anywhere near the animals - so the party is all in Dinoland, and the race avoids the safari/jungle trek areas.
