We will be staying at pop for 11 nights -- Jan 2010
I have been looking into maybe getting the CS dining plan -- but for our first 2-3 days we will be going to universal and seaworld -- my question is since my dining plan is for my complete stay -- I get so many "credits" for food each day == so if I am not there for the first 3 days -- I can just use more credits on the reamaing days -- or is there a way around paying for those days that I'm not going to be there ?? I *think* you would just need to make a separate three day room-only reservation. I've added days room-only reservations to an existing one before and as long as I went to check out and check back in early in the day there was no problem staying in our same room.

Your credits are also based on your length of stay. you can use them in any quantity you want per day. Realize that you may be back by 5pm from USO/SW and could still use a QS credit that evening for dinner. You could also use 3 per day and have B, L & D all in one day.

You can use the credits in any number on any day of the stay (from the time you check in until 11:59 pm the day you check out), so you can just use more on other days. *Or* you can do a room-only stay at one end and a package with tickets and dining plan for the rest of the trip. Up to you.
