Went to the disney store to check out their sale (50 and 75% off) and went ahead and bought souvenirs for my nieces and nephews at dirt cheap prices...also bought two lanyards with 4 pins each and 2 t shirts for myself. You gotta check out their sale, it is awesome. And now I don't have to worry about shopping for other people on my trip!

The Lanyards were not on sale, not sure of they were cheaper than the parks or not, but I paid $15.00 with 4 pins, 2 of each, one to keep, one to trade.

I've not done the lanyard/pin thing myself but my 3 children have gotten more fun out of trading than I ever expected. My then 3 year old niece will be coming on our Feb. trip & for Christmas we're getting her the pink Princess lanyard and have already bought some pins for it. I won a lanyard and some pins at the Millionare in May and my kids are still argueing over who gets to have them. :D

I think that the lanyards were one of the best souvenier type of thing we've gotten the kids in a long time!:Pinkbounc

My youngest DS (12) loves pin trading. Last year I bought him a khaki vest from LLBean.com and he put all of his pins on it for our trip. He had many comments from passers by re: his vest. It was a lot cheaper than the vests @WDW and looked really good. It was better for him than the lanyard because it got so heavy with all of his pins it annoyed him.

Yesterday I bought the lanyard with the 2 Mickey and 2 Minnie pins too. I was buying gifts for a girl's birthday party who will be going to WDW in a couple of months. The lanyard was the only item I purchased that was NOT 75% off, but it was worth it. Since pins alone are at least $6, I thought it was a pretty good buy. I think my kids lanyards that we bought in WDW were at least $15, and they came without pins.
