Hi!

We will be renting a car for 10 days! I was wondering what are some of the good rates people have recieved. Also what good discounts did you use?

Thanks
Mike

The best rate I can get for my trip (11 days) on National is $371 for a full size. That's with the old Disney club code and the Disney club coupon. I've been checking every day to see if it goes lower! This year's rate seems much higher than last years!

My 10 day rental with the DC discount(old) in Feb/Mar for a full size car is $324.....no free weekend day for that time yet, though that would only make it ~$30 less. If you get a cheaper rate please post. I'm driving myself crazy checking:(

Rates are MUCH higher this year!

My rate last December for 10 days for a Full size Emerald Asile at National with my Disney Club discounts was $179. total including taxes and fees!

I can't even get near that rate for my 8 day trip this October.

Good luck!

I booked with National in May for 10 days using DC discount and free day coupon and we are paying $237 total. This is for a full size/Emerald Isle. We are going in early November. I checked the rate today, and it's up to $275. I thought I was crazy to book so early, but now I'm glad that I did!

If you are renting from Orlando Airport (MCO), you can rent a full size Dodge Intrepid for 10 days, $257.00, with tax $325.83. I don't know what your dates are so the rate may differ. Use the code ENTERTAIN in the promo code box at dollar's web site to get this good rate. Dollar is onsite at MCO arcoss from baggage pickup.

I guess we had a good rate then! We're just back from our trip and paid $163 with all taxes included for 9 days, EA full size. We had a Dodge Intrepid, used the old DC code, and a $20 coupon from the Entertainment Book. Also I booked it in January for July.

Hope the rates go down before I book again for next year!!!:):D:)

For 10 days last November we paid 220 total for National EA. This included a coupon for a free weekend day and a discount through my wife's employer.

That's an excellent rate from National cindala !! But try to get that from them now for 9 days, almost impossible. I booked a room at the new Royal Pacific Resort at US/IOA the first week of January and got a Club level room for 3 nights, free buffet breakfast each day in the club lounge for $139 a night, for the end of August. Because of the sad effects of 9/11 no one was flying or planning vacations back in January. There were some good deals out there around November to as late as February. I also booked our car then for our 10 day trip to Universal and WDW this August. Those coupons for car rentals, especially National, in the Entertainment book are great if you can use them. But even using coupons and the DC card, sometimes Dollar is better using a code. I think I have spent hours trying every possible angle to get the best price on the size car we wanted, LOL.

I have a car reserved through Dollar, the smallest economy car for a total of $216 including tax and fees using the FVG code. Rates are much higher this year. There are only two of us, so small is fine.

Disney Talker,

Try the ENTERTAIN code at dollar. You should be able to get the compact for one week rental for $120, with tax $158.36. You DON"T need a coupon or card to use the ENTERTAIN code and it is NOT from the Entertainment Book. I got it out of a free Orlando Vistors Guide sent to me. It is listed in a Dollar Rent A Car full page ad for anyone's use, you just have to know about it.
