We stop at the one in Houston whenever we're down visiting family. On our last trip we brought back some bookcases for DS, a few things for the kitchen and a light bulb! You know, one of those weird light bulbs. :D

*love* Ikea!
In fact almost posted on your flooring thread, binny... we are doing our first level in the Pergo style flooring that Ikea sells..
It's actually made in the same factory as Pergo, but Ikea sells it for $1.50/sq ft instead of $3.99 for Pergo at Home Depot :)
Love the deals on everything at Ikea.. love my chair, my table.. love it all :)

I also LOVE Ikea. I have a queen sized bed, DS has a dresser and we have lots of kitchen gadgets.
We drive almost 3 hours to Pittsburgh to the nearest. We make a day of it and have lunch at the Quaker Steak and Lube. Love that place too.

Yah, you betcha', we do! It has been a while since I've been there, but I love their accessories and have some furniture from there too - coffee tables, computer table, etc. I love to people watch there, too. Some pretty hip people shop there (at least in the Seattle store).

<font color=navy>We have an IKEA about 5 minutes from my house. I've been in it a couple of times... the last time was awful! I came out with fedderbedden (down comforters) down pillows, bed sacks, pillow cases, and miscellaneous stuff, and ended up spending a lot more than I originally intended to!
Reminds me - gotta go back to that store! ;)

my empire state building pic is from there!
and my 3 mirrors(I saw them on trading spaces...Vern did a room with them!)
and my 2 mini=sets of drawers(I saw those on Real World NYC)
they have cute furniture and accesories and they are pretty cheap!

I love it!
I am blessed to have one within a ten minute drive from me (plymouth meeting PA)
Its a fun place, and we have gotten a lot of stuff from there.
I have a computer desk, sofa, three chairs, picture frames.
Its a fun, modern place. The ballroom is fun as well for the kids.

We don't have one. I like the way their furniture looks when I see it on TV programs like Trading Spaces, but I just can't stand to order furniture online without really seeing it. DH probably wouldn't ever let me shop there again anyway since he doesn't like to put stuff together. :D

Kermit, really the putting together isn't as bad as it used to be...
They have lots of cute baby stuff....

RNMom, Ditto!!
When we go to Ikea we always treat ourselves to Quaker Steak and Lube! Yummy wings!
It's about a 40 minute trip for us! We love Ikea! Sometimes you can find stuff there that you just can't find anywhere else!
We bought DD's white headboard there, a white full length mirror, pictures for the wall, a couple throw pillows. I love their stuff!

We have one about 35 minutes away (same one that's near Dan LOL!)
I like it for certain thiings. I think of it as the perfect place for young adults just starting out with their first apartment or home. You can get anything there that you can imagine, and it's all reasonably priced. You can browse there for hours and still not see everything. They have a great selection of gadgets, accessories, towels, and easy to assemble furniture.
However, if you are looking for high quality furniture that's going to last for many years, or a more traditional style, it isn't the place for you.

Almost all fo our furniture is IKEA! Nothing like cheap furniture to get you through these 20's when the kids are young so you don't have to worry about good furniture being ruined!!!!

The closest one I am aware of is in Pittsburgh (3 hour drive or so). I haven't been in a store but many of my friends have bought things from there and it really makes me wish I had one closer to go to.

Believe it or not, they have them here in Italy. The closest one to us is about an hour away. I have only been there once, but I know I will be going again soon in the future.

IKEA is enough to make me volunteer to drive people to the airport! I drove my parents to the airport recently and wanted to leave a few hours early to go there because I needed a shelf. I think they thought I was crazy until they went in - I could hardly drag my mom out.

There's one in Burlington, Ontario in Canada. It's about an hour or so away from Buffalo, and I LOVE going there. Plus, they're amazingly cheap, and the exchange rates can't be beat!!!!!!

I LOVE IKEA!! We buy all our furniture there - all of it lol. We eat at their little cafe all the time - love the Swedish meatballs! I remember being little and playing at the ball pit/day care center they have for kids while my parents shopped - I cried when I became too tall to go to it.

I love IKEA !!
and its not really the style furniture that I would imagine myself liking. But there is so much "stuff" to look at. We live equal distances (about 2 hrs ) from 2 of them -- one in Elizabeth NJ and the other in Plymouth Meeting, PA but have only gone to the one in PA . What fun

Yeah - it's about 30 minutes away - DH works just minutes from there. We bought several things there - a hutch for our breakfast room, DS's dresser & bed. And,yes, great accessories and space-saving devices. I think we got one of the boy's desks there too.

We have one about 50 miles away. We bought DSD's bedroom set there. Great prices, but the stuff is kind of a pain to put together and is very, very cheap (it is all soft wood and splits very, very easily).

We love IKEA!! We have purchased bookcases, computer desk, TV stand, step stools for the kids, plastic ware for the kids, batteries, lightbulbs, kitchen gadgets, etc...
I just received my new catalog and look forward to going thru it!
We live approximately 20 miles away from the store located in Schaumburg, IL.
yes we live about 45 minutes from the one in Schaumburg. It is such a neat store, but we don't go too often because we always come home having spent too much money!
My son has the toy bin set, bookshelves, and lamps from there. I wanted to get him the slide bed, but they don't carry it anymore.
