Here we come...again! We are heading back to our home away from home for our 1st WDW Thanksgiving!:woohoo: We are leaving on 11/20 and will be in the World through 11/29. Here's our castmembers for this trip....
NuttyDisneyMom - that's me! And a perfect definition at that;) I was born an hour away from Mickey and lived there for 23 years! I remember WDW when it was just the Magic Kingdom. Ride tickets, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Mr. Toad....ahhh those were the days. I am a HUGE planner, organizer, and FOODIE!!! Just wait till you see how many times I cange our ADR's:lmao: Also, I'm a lover of Classic Mickey, Alice in Wonderland, and Maleficent:) I am most looking forward to watching my children have a wonderful time and sharing it with my DM. I love Epcot, SpectroMagic, and Wishes.
DM - will be referred to as Nana throughout this report. My mother started my love affair with the mouse when I was just 2 years old and I couldn't thank her enough for doing so:hug: This is her 2nd trip with me and DD7 to WDW and her 1st with all 3 kiddos. She is most looking forward to watching the kids' face light up with Disney magic, especially MK at night, and the FOOD of course. She has never been to any other park then MK either:eek: I know, the horror! She'll be scootin' around the World, so if you see a mom and 3 kids screaming "NANA WAIT!!!" while chasing a scooter down Main Street...that's us!:lmao:
DS18 - will be referred to as Charming this report. He just graduated from Army boot camp on 9/11/09 and started his senior year of high school this year. This will be his 3rd trip to WDW. He is a lover of....I hope you're sitting down....the PRINCESSES! I'm totally serious! He thinks they are all so hot and is determined to get a date with one this year, or at least some phone numbers:laughing: Now you see why I am referring to him as Charming right? Now, when I say the boy loves food, I mean THE BOY LOVES FOOD! Just wait and you'll see when I do my dining report;) Hates roller coasters, but loved RnR...I know, go figure:confused3 Can't get him on any of the mountains in MK or ToT, but he'll ride RnR all day! He's also a HUGE Star Wars nut:darth::yoda: Most looking forward to Epcot and O'Hana dinner!
DD14 - will be referred to as Alice throughout this report. She just started her freshman year of high school this year and is your typical teenage girl...with a twist...she's super-gifted (not to brag at all, but she's uber smart and attends a medically geared high school)...so everything is always interesting with her wherever we go;) This will be her 3rd trip to WDW. She is a lover of The Lion King and The Little Mermaid/Ariel, but her biggest "crush" is Jack Skellington:lovestruc She also loves food and won't hesitate to try new things:thumbsup2 She LOVES to ride the rides and is pretty easy going. She was just diagnosed this past month with a rhuematological disease, so this trip will be interesting and we are preparing accordingly;) She is most looking forward to Kilimanjaro Safari in AK (we have yet to do it, but are this trip) and just the whole trip really! She is defininately my girl, she's LOVES WDW:littleangel:
DD7 - will be referred to as Stitch throughout this report. She just started 2nd grade this year and is big into gymnastics. She's a tiny kid for her age, but has the attitude of a girl twice her age:laughing: This will be her 4th trip to WDW. The child LOVES Stitch! So much so, she has the hat and claws/gloves and wears them ever since she got them this past April....and wears them EVERYWHERE we go! Even wears them in the car when I drive her to school so that people think Stitch is in the car:lmao:(and it does look like it since she's so tiny you'd just see the antennae sticking up above the seat). She is also a huge Star Wars fan (we all are except for Alice really) and she loves Cinderella, Snow White, and Cars. She's our tomboy:angel: Her favorite ride is Test Track and BTMRR. She is counting down the days on her Mickey Ear calendar till the trip already!
DH will NOT be joining us on this trip as he is heading back to Afghanistan with his civilian job in October:sad1: He retired in June from the Navy, but is still going to the desert.:confused3 I think he's a glutton for punishment LOL! He will be with us in our hearts though:)
So that's us....accomodations and 1st round ADR's in the next post.:hippie: Will we stay on site or won't we????
NuttyDisneyMom
09-24-2009, 11:57 PM
When we took our trip in April this year, we had one day left on our ticket. We knew we had to use it before December 23rd of this year. So I proposed to DH that we go back for Thanksgiving and he said sure;) Ha Ha...sucker:rotfl2: Well, back in April we didn't know he was going to be going back to Afghanistan. At least not so quickly with his new civilian job. So, DM had 3 weeks of vacation....she's in!
Tickets - We have 6 day park hoppers:woohoo: Thank you to the military salute tix!!! We also have a one day/one park ticket too! So that's 7 whole days of parkin' it:cheer2: We may not leave till 11/30 between all the tickets we need to use and eating we have to do:laughing:, but who's complaining? Not me!!!
Accomodations, or lack there of thus far.....We have RCI and could use our timeshare, but we've NEVER stayed on WDW property:scared1: Well, there are so many pros and cons to both and I'm STILL weighing them. I'm leaning much more towards onsite though. I really want to save our RCI for something other than...no flames please:)...WDW and I REALLY want to stay onsite and use a DDP. We're tossing around POR currently and I really think that's what we're going to do. We want to get on the DxDDP if we stay onsite. Like I said, we're MAJOR foodies:lovestruc I will be booked SOMEWHERE, onsite or off, by the middle of October. Am I worried about waiting so long to book, absolutely not:cool2: So stay tuned to find out my resort dilemmas.:upsidedow If worse came to worse, I still have friends and family in the area that would welcome us with open arms:thumbsup2
ADR's - I may not have accomodations, but I do have my ADR's and ALOT of them:worship: As I mentioned, if we stay onsite we are doing the DxDDP as a treat for all of us since DH is getting a nice bonus up front to go overseas and he wants us to indulge. I told him I'd at least have time to lose the weight I'll gain before he gets home:rotfl: Here's our ADR's thus far...
Day 1 (Arrival Day/no parks)
L - Beaches n' Cream ( I know it's not an ADR place, but we will still go)
D - Chef Mickey's
Day 2
B - 1900 Park Fare
D - O'Hana:woohoo:
Day 3
L - Sci Fi
D - California Grill
Day 4 (DTD day)
L - (more like a snack) Gardenview Tea (will be OOP since not on DDP)
D - Yachtsman OR Kona Cafe
Day 5
B - Kona Cafe
D - Yachtsman OR O'Hana(if we decide to do O'Hana twice, then Yachtsman will be on day 4 for dinner and we will cancel Kona and this days' Yachtsman)
Day 6 (Thanksgiving)
B - Tusker House
L - Yak n Yeti
D - Whispering Canyon (thanksgiving dinner)
Day 7
B - Akershus
L - Tutto Italia
D - Flying Fish
Day 8
B - Crystal Palace
L - Chefs de France
D - Narcoosee's
Day 9 (going home:sad1:)
B - O'Hana
That's it thus far...and I still have 2 TS credits left on the DxDDP if we stay onsite!:rotfl: Now, I know I've said we're foodies, but I'm having trouble fitting all the dang meals in!!! We're eating at 4 signatures already! I don't have anywhere to fit HDDR, which I think the kids will love.:confused3 Any other ideas are more than welcome!!! I am trying to get a CRT since that was the most magical experience ever with Stitch, when she was 4, and Alice wants to eat in the castle. We'd like to do that as a breakfast, as before. I got lucky when we went 3 years ago with Nana and Stitch, then 4 and her first trip. I called dining from our room the night before and got an 8am ressie the next morning. I am going to hold my breath and pray:wizard::goodvibes
I know alot of people will say that it looks like alot of time in restaurants, and it is....but only somewhat. We need LOTS of breaks in the parks with Nana, who is also diabetic so she has to eat her meals regularly, and with my Alice and her disorder that is going to cause her to need to get off her feet more often. So why not take the longer rests indoors, in AC, and with FOOD:cloud9:??? At least that's how we look at it;)
Non park plans - BBB for Stitch! It's a surprise for Alice. She said when we were there last time she'd love to do it, so....she's doing it;) Of course Stitch is already in the know about it. She will be bringing her Tink costume for this. I am also thinking of planning on taking everyone to La Nouba as another surprise on our DTD day! I'm the only one that has ever been and it was back in 99, so I think I'm overdue. I know everyone would just LOVE it. It is fantastic and I would think it could only be better now. I have also ordered the Glass Slipper dessert forAlice to be served to her at our Gardenview Tea. Her birthday is Christmas Eve, so we are celebrating on 11/24 at our tea. She is going to be so thrilled! Tea is her fave girlie thing to do and I can't wait to see her face!
So as you can tell, I've been BUSY planning our trip. I work on it a bit each night. Stay tuned to find out what I've been buying for the trip! Oh and did I mention that we're pin traders.....oh Ebay is dangerous for those!!!

Hello Hello...Here I am!!!! I have so far NEVER been the first follower on a trippie report so count me in!
HDDR was SUPER FUN by the way. But i can see that you are filled up in the evenings. What about CRT for BREAKFAST before the park is opened. That could be a nice memory and the food is good and the boys will do fine.

Hey Susan! Glad you made it!!! Nana and I did CRT breakfast back in 07 with Stitch, who was then 4. It was her first trip to WDW and we got so lucky getting in by calling the night before!!! We got an 8am the next AM:woohoo: Best experience to date for me, Nana, and Stitch. I am going to try to get in again...I keep checking EVERYDAY online. I know Charming will enjoy the princesses, the big flirt:lmao:

So I've been to the Disney Store 3 times in the last week:lovestruc I got fleece hooded jackets for all of us, with the exception of Charming who can't make up his mind if he wants one or not:confused3 Nana and I got the classic Mickey one...
http://i571.photobucket.com/albums/ss153/nuttydisneymom/101154MS.jpg
Alice got the Jack one, of course...
http://i571.photobucket.com/albums/ss153/nuttydisneymom/101153MS.jpg
and Stitch got Tink...
http://i571.photobucket.com/albums/ss153/nuttydisneymom/101273M.jpg
I also picked up Stitch's Tink costume. The sale was too good to pass up! She got the light up wings too, but I wouldn't let her wear them to Disney on Ice since they are big and we didn't want them to get ruined;)
Here she is at Disney on Ice last week. Please excuse the blue mouth from her cotton candy
http://i571.photobucket.com/albums/ss153/nuttydisneymom/DSCF0668.jpg
I've also been on Ebay buying pins!:woohoo: When they come in, I'll post pics!
I've been rethinking some of our dining options this week too. Also been thinking about staying an extra day:yay: We'll see what happens...stay tuned:3dglasses

Hi there!
I found your PTR and am on board. You will actually be there when I'm going!:cool1: Except, you'll be there a couple days longer than me.... I promise I'm not too jealous!:rolleyes1
I hope you enjoy all of your ressies, I would be in heaven with those! We have one more thing in common, my father and my FIL were both in the navy and are now retired. We are also using the military salute tickets!! My DSIS is going and is staying at the RCI property down there, it looks pretty nice. DH and I are staying at SSR, have you considered trying to rent points from a DVC member? That's what we did and we have a one bedroom that is going to be plenty big! Hopefully, those accommodations work out for you!

We are staying at AKV but we have stayed at SSR and LOVED it! We walked over to Downtown Disney every evening.
I love the Tink costume!!! Tink is my favorite as she is so sassy.
I love the hoodies... I might have to pop over there and take a look. :rolleyes1
My DS18 says Narcooses is the best restaurant on the property and to make sure someone tries the swordfish and if they don't like it to box it up and call his cell phone as he would be more than happy to eat it. LOL

I have thought about renting DVC points, but not sure where to start?:confused3 I was going to look on Ebay for some and see what the procedure is like. Wish me luck!

Nana's hoodie came in the mail today. It's the Mickey one like mine, but I had to order hers because they didn't have the size she wanted. They are SOOO soft too and such a good deal. :thumbsup2 It's easier to justify my Disney Store jaunts to DH when there is a sale:lmao:
Tell your DS that Charming, also, will most likely order the swordfish. He's usually my big steak eater, but I have turned him on to fish the last few years. He LOVES salmon, but my father has been rubbing off to him how good swordfish is and I think he's be game to try it at Narcoosees's.

Going shopping again today...with a purpose of course!;) I have to exchange a pair of Stitch's shoes at Stride Rite, which happens to be in my "home" mall with the Disney Store in it:lovestruc How convenient!!! Oh, what will I buy???? I'll let you know tonight!
Also, I had a HUGE blonde moment (and yes, I am blonde:laughing:). My BFF is a DVC owner!!!!! I called her a few mins ago with my woes about trying to rent DVC points, what do I do, where do I stay...blah blah blah.:sad2: She says to me..."Did you forget we're DVC members and I have points I can sell to you???" So as soon as I finish this, I'm on my way to her house to finalize my resort ressies...:woohoo::cool1::wizard:
I'll have a big update for you all tonight:hug:

We have confirmed resort reservations!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: My BFF and I got on the phone with DVC this AM and we are staying the first four nights at SSR and the last 4 nights at OKW!:cool1: She sold me her points at a VERY reasonalbe price, and I'd honestly much rather give her the money:laughing: Both resorts are for 1bdr villas! I'm soooo excited! Can you believe that in ALL my 34 years, being born and raised an hour away from WDW for 23 of them, that I've NEVER stayed on property:scared1: I can't wait to take advantage of EMH's too:dance3:
So now that I have that HUGE weight off my shoulders, I have some dining to rearrange...at least I think so. We booked with the Basic DDP instead of the DxDDP, at least for now. I'm weighing my options to see how much of a savings it would be if we upgraded to DxDDP or not. My kiddos LOVE alot of the CS in most of the parks, it's DHS we loathe but would just jump over to Beaches n' Cream that day:love: to avoid DHS CS. So I will let you know how that comes out over the next day or two.
I did go shopping today at the Disney Store:cloud9: I picked up the CUTEST velour tracksuit for Stitch. It's from the Cinderella collection and is Cindy pale blue and super sparkly! I bought the shirt to go underneath it. Coolest thing was it was already marked down to clearance and I got another 25% off that!;) Here are the 3 pieces that make up the outfit...

http://i571.photobucket.com/albums/ss153/nuttydisneymom/100928M.jpg
Stitch also got 2 more pairs of fall/winter jammies since the PJ pals were on sale 2 for $20. She got a pink Tink pair and a blue Tink pair. She's super happy:yay:
Coming up next....what to do about the dining!!!! Any ideas are welcome!

Can you believe that in ALL my 34 years, being born and raised an hour away from WDW for 23 of them, that I've NEVER stayed on property:scared1: I can't wait to take advantage of EMH's too:dance3:
I did go shopping today at the Disney Store:cloud9: I picked up the CUTEST velour tracksuit for DD7. It's from the Cinderella collection and is Cindy pale blue and super sparkly! I bought the shirt to go underneath it. Coolest thing was it was already marked down to clearance and I got another 25% off that!;) Here are the 3 pieces that make up the outfit...

What are you thinking about packing seriously. We were there in April and I don't know if it was a freak of nature thing or not but it was COLD
People were buying up sweatshirts all over the place. Because I am always cold in restaurants etc, I had one thin sweater hoodie and I wore it all week. I washed it but you know... all the pictures have me wearing the same thing again and again... like a really, really, really long day.

Weather is PERFECT in November, at least for us. Low to mid 80's during the day and then upper 50's at night. Definitely will need sweatshirts at night:thumbsup2 Those hoodies I bought at the Disney Store are going to be PERFECT:yay:

LOVE the luggage! And the shirts
I'm trying to get my DPIC to do a matching shirt kind of thing but I'm pretty sure she is ANTI that and will nix it before I can even try to make something. Although she seems a bit interested in making a Mickey Tie Dye shirts. I'm so challanged I'm not sure I could even figure it out. I have read the directions on the disboards. They seem easy enough but I'm not sure I 'get' it.
I should make shirt shirt for myself and have it say challanged.... but that's offensive isn't it?

I'll pretty much ride anything although I think we'll skip primEVIL Whirl. The last time I rode it banged me up so badly and the seats were VERY small. Other than that I am game for anything.
My costume should arrive by Friday. I'm going to be Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Let me tell you though I have had a heck of a time finding white tights. My mom finally found some for me. Weird! It's winter well fall actually but it's cold! There should be an over abundance of tights!

So we're really not planning on going into the parks that day, but I think we may end up going into MK for some night time fun. The parks at night are our family's favorite time of all in WDW:love: We have planned on heading into DTD for lunch at WPE, but if we head into a park, we'll catch a CS meal there or at the resort. We have our dinner ressie at 7pm at The Wave. I just today emailed Alice's birthday cake order to the CR bakery and have already heard back from cake master guru Brian:woohoo: I've set up a time to speak with him tomorrow about the cake specifics, which by the way is all Jack Skellington;) I cannot wait to see how it turns out!!!
K, so like I said if we head to a park, it will most likely be MK. We love the Plaza so I think I'm going to add a lunch ressie for there just in case that's where we end up. We'll head in and immediately send Charming for Space Mountain FP's:woohoo: and head over to POTC where he'll meet up with us. Funny thing is he won't even ride Space Mtn, so the FP's are just for me and Alice:lmao: But he'll pick up FP's for Buzz for himself, Stitch, and Nana:thumbsup2 We'll hit POTC and HM:cloud9: and if we have enough time, we'll hit BTMRR before dinner. Depending on how long dinner is and how tired we are, we'll head back into MK for Spectro and Wishes, then call it a night:thumbsup2
Now, if we don't go to a park....we'll hit WPE for lunch and leisurely cruise around DTD. Nana hasn't been in like 15 years and she will enjoy just scootin' around and soaking it all in. Plus, since we're going to be at SSR, we'll have the boat lauch to and from DTD:thumbsup2 If the weather is nice we'll swim and Nana and I will have some frozen libations:rolleyes1 while the kiddos splash it up:goodvibes We'll hop a bus to CR for our Wave dinner, and then most likely call it a night and go back to SSR for swimming or a movie.
Day 2 plans...EPCOT (the family fave:lovestruc and Nana's never been:scared1:)

You can do a search for glitter mickey, for the shirt, and tinkerbell sweatshirt, for the sweatshirt. They are both definitely still there on disney outlet.com:thumbsup2
Nope, never been to the Wave. Alice was reading over the menu and I told her I wanted to drop Chef Mickey's since it get horrible reviews and we have other character meals planned, and she chose the Wave. I'd been wanting to go and I know Nana, Charming, and Stitch will all eat something there. I'm really excited about it. And I will be doing a dining report with lots of pics, so no worries;)

Found the shirt and the sweatshirt..thanks! Now just have to decide if I want to splurge. Is the t-shirt big? I'm afraid the large will be too tight...and my plan for losing 10 lbs before vacation isn't going too well (as I stare at the hershey kiss wrappers next to me.... :guilty: )

The Wave does sound awesome and I can't wait to see how Alice's bday cake turns out! I'm going to ask they have it on the table when we sit down so we can use it as a center piece during the meal. We want our Wave desserts so we can say we tried them, so we are going to cut the cake in the room. I'll have them put a candle in her menu dessert for the whole happy birthday thing:thumbsup2
Glad you found the shirts, they are nice quality too for such a steal!!! The Tshirt looks to me as it runs true to size, but it is cotton, so it WILL shrink some. I'm a big chested girl, so I went for the XXL to be safe:laughing: The sweatshirts seems to be pretty big, I also got an XXL since I wear them over tank tops or tee's most of the time. It's REALLY soft too! I ordered one for both DDs too, so we'll all match with our Tink sweatshirts:rotfl:
Now what are you doing trying to lose 10 pounds before going to WDW??:sad2: You have to know it's a futile effort since WDW will put those back on you SO fast next month:rotfl2: They force feed you that sugary goodness there...:rotfl::lmao: With the Halloween candy running around my house, the Kit Kats are calling my name, so I feel your pain. However with me being do sick and having no appetite, I'm not tempted...yet! Wait'll the steriods kick in...then I'll be so reavenous it won't even be funny! I hate those dang steriods, but they help my lungs so I can breathe again...so I guess I have to take em:lmao:

:
First of all, I can't wait to see Alice's Jack Skellington cake... sounds incredibly fun!
As for the shopping issues I think it is because we have so much Disney stuff already. So we have messenger bags and more Disney t-shirts than days at Disney for each person, including our matching family t's. Even our PJ's are Disney. LOL So I pull out the Disney suitcase with prepacked Disney stuff that we only wear at Disney. :scared1: But I might enjoy a time out... life has been hectic. :thumbsup2
The buttons are the easiest thing ever. Go to a Michaels or Hobby Lobby and but the make your own buttons and/or keychains and you just use the insert from them to cut the circle size and do any design. We did just a colored LGMH with "Do you Dis? Momsof2boys" etc on ours.

This is what I sent....
Hello!
I would like to order a custom Jack Skellington/Nightmare Before Christmas cake for my daughter’s birthday. I would like it for 11/21 @ our dinner at the Wave at 7pm. I would like for it to look similar to the picture attached, just replace the haunted mansion wallpaper with something indicative of The Nightmare Before Christmas and replace the gold picture frame on top with Jack Skellington as the focal piece/topper as the one in the attached Jack cake photo(disneyaugust2009225.jpg). Please use black and purple as the main colors and include miniatures of the dog Zero, Lock, Shock, and Barrel, and Oogie Boogie on the top and sides of the cake as well, in place of the skulls around the border in the photos. A few pumpkins would be nice as well. PLEASE NO CHOCOLATE RIBBON on the cake. I would like a small graveyard in area of the ribbon in the picture (it does NOT have to be 3D, it can be flat to the cake).
I would like an 8” inch marble cake frosted with vanilla butter cream tinted to match the theme of the cake. I would like the strawberry and custard filling. I would like “Happy 15th Birthday Alexandra” written on the serving circle in Black icing. Please use a SILVER cake circle to put the cake on.
Please contact me via email or at xxx-xxx-xxxx with pricing, confirmation, and any questions.
Thank you for your time!
These are the 3 pics I sent along with the email (thanks to DISers on the Cake Gallery thread:thumbsup2)

That is so cool that they are making you your own cake. We plan to go to DD's birthday in two years, although not sure if we'll actually be there on her birthday since she was born on Halloween. Maybe when she gets older we'll go for the actual holiday but right now we have so many fun events leading up to the big day that I don't want to miss it.
I think this year I'm going to try to one of those Barbie Cakes with my Pampered Chef bowl but use the Cinderella doll http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Barbie-Doll-Cake/Detail.aspx hopefully it comes out ok....I could just buy one...but I think it might be fun to make it. We'll see...

Oh, and as for losing the 10 lbs....I'm an WW girl. Been on and off it for 8 years now. First time was my best, lost 45 lbs and was at my goal weight for about a year. I've never gained it all back (other than pregnancy) but I definitely have a few more than 10 lbs to lose. I'll be happy with losing what I might gain back while down at WDW :rotfl2:. But that weight usually comes off pretty quick, except last time when I came back pregnant....:rotfl:

As far as the camera goes, SLR stands for single lens reflex. It's a more sophisticated lens system that takes pictures at higher speeds. I'm honestly no expert, so my suggestion would be to go to your local camera shop (if you've got a Ritz Camera nearby, they are pretty good) and tell them what you want the camera to do and they can recommend the best camera for you. If you don't want to go that route, I believe there is a thread for cameras on the DIS boards, but I cannot find it right now. If I do, I will certainly send it your way. I hope this helps and sorry for the ramble.:goodvibes

Well, with my voice almost back to normal today, I made the call to the CR Bakery. I explained to the woman that answered the phone about my email communication with Brian and how he told me to call and place the order. She asked me my name, and sure enough she found my email that Brian had printed out! I ended up ordering the cake chocolate as they only do marble in 10" cakes. She took down my ADR number for the wave along with my CC number. We went over the cake and the specifics 3 times and I was assured that Brian would create a masterpiece for my daughter! So painless and simple! I cannot wait to see what this cake is going to look like!!!! I asked her if I should call back a few days prior and she said that was no problem.
So far so good on the cake saga....

We're leaving 3 weeks from Friday!:woohoo: Time is seriously flying on my end!!!
Sorry I haven't updated, but it's been such a rough week:scared1: Stitch was sick with bronchitis, then we found out she is WAY allergic to shellfish, and then this past Monday was the WORST....
For those of you who don't know, my DH is in Afghanistan with his civilian job. He is retired Navy and now is an electrical contractor for a huge government contracting subsidiary. Anyway, I received a phone call that a helicopter went down in west Afghanistan, where DH is, from his work buddy that is in a different area with him:scared1::scared1::scared1: Turns out it was NOT DHs helo, thank God, but the scare has had me in emotional turmoil since monday morning. SO what did I do....made my ADR's for my March trip this afternoon to cheer me up:lmao:
Will post an update soon...we've already got the suitcases out and are packing!!!

I cannot begin to imagine what you go through every day.:hug: I am glad that DH is safe. I pray for those in service every day, your husband is in there!
I'm also glad that you are feeling better. Poor Stitch!:scared1: Finding out that allergy to Shellfish was probably frightening, but in the end good so you'll know for the future!
Okay, so you are three weeks and two days, I'm three weeks and four days! Let the dancing bananas begin!

Day 1, Friday: We’re off to WDW…FINALLY!
• We are driving, as usual. We usually drive the whole 12 hours straight, but are going to stop this time. Nana is getting off work at noon and the kids will all be home from school by 2:45pm. We’ll be out the door no later than 4pm!!! We’re going to drive till around midnight and grab a hotel.
Day 2, Saturday: We’re there!!!!
• We’ll be up early and have about 4 hours worth of driving left. We’ll grab a quick breakfast at a drive thru and be in WDW by 1pm! We’ll drop our bags, pick up Nana’s scooter which will be waiting for us at concierge, and we’re off. We’re heading into DTD for our 1st ever lunch at WPE. I cannot wait for this one If we decide to hit a park, it will be DHS or MK and we’ll grab some grub once in there. We have our dinner ressie at The Wave (again 1st time) at 7:10pm. Alice is getting her birthday cake at this dinner and I can’t wait to see it! If we hit a park, we’ll go to MK for Spectro and Wishes, and then call it a night. If we didn’t go into a park, we’ll head back to SSR for a movie and early bed.
Day 3, Sunday: Nana’s 1st visit ever to Epcot!
• We’ll get up early and grab a quick breakfast in the room. We’ll grab a bus to Epcot and hit Future World right away! Lunch is another first, Sunshine Seasons. We may take a mid day break, if we need it, for a swim at SSR, if not, we’ll be in Epcot till about 6pm. Dinner is at 9:30pm at O’Hana. We’ll watch the EWP on the Poly Beach while we’re waiting for our table. Then we’ll get to see wishes while we eat. This is a family tradition and will be another first for Nana. Then we’re over to MK for EMH for the night!!!! We’ll close MK down and then hit the beds hard!!!
Day 4, Monday: DHS Day
• We’re up when we’re up today since last night was a LATE night at MK most likely. We’ll hit the BW Bakery for a CS breakfast, and then we’re off to DHS! Lunch isn’t until 3pm at Sci Fi, first for all of us. We’ll have all the time in the world to do what we want here today. This includes RnR, TSMM, Little Mermaid, GMR, Indian Jones, Star Wars, Stunt Show, BLE Tour, and possibly a showing of AI. Notice how ToT is not in there??? No one will ride it with me!!! It’s EMH tonight and we have a 9:50pm dinner ADR at 50’s prime time, repeat for everyone except Charming and Alice. We think they’ll have a ball with the antics. So we’re closing down another park. Again, we’ll bus it back to SSR and hit the beds hard!
Day 5, Tuesday: MK/Resort Day
• We’re up when we’re up again and breakfast is at MS Bakery. YUMMO! We’ll play until time to head to the GF for our girls afternoon Tea at 2pm. Alice is getting her white chocolate slipper dessert at our Tea as another birthday surprise. Charming will head to DTD to Disney Quest for a long, long, long time. I wonder if we’ll ever get him out! We’ll be off to SSR for a swim and a rest till evening time. Charming will either meet us at SSR before dinner or meet us at Kona for our 7:05pm ADR at Kona. Another first for all of us. After dinner, we’ll head back into MK for the night time events. Then it’s a bus back to SSR for us for the night.
Day 6: DTD Day
• Today we switch resorts. Out of SSR and into OKW! We’ll drop our bags to have them taken over to OKW, hop a bus and check in there, and then head to WPE for breakfast, another first for us. We’ll play around in DTD and do some serious shopping. We have an 11:30am ADR at Planet Hollywood. We’ll be using the 2 $15 vouchers I have for this. After lunch we’ll head over to OKW to see if our room is ready and then have a swim. Then back to DTD for our 3pm BBB appointment. A surprise for both Stitch and Alice. Our dinner tonight is a GF Café, another 1st for us. Our ressie is for 7:30pm. We’ll check out the gingerbread house either before or after dinner, and then call it a night at the resort since we have a SUPER EARLY day tomorrow!
Day 7: Thanksgiving and AK Day
• We have an 8am pre park opening breakfast at Tusker House. First time for all of us. We have to remember to look for Momsof2boys and her family who are supposed to eat at 8:05! AK is virtually new to all of us as well. We only hopped over to it last trip to ride EE and hopped right back out. So this will be a fun, new day for all of us! We are going to hop over to AKL for lunch at Mara, since I’ve heard such great things about it on these boards. Or we’ll hit Flame Tree BBQ. Depends on where we are with what we want to accomplish in AK. Dinner isn’t until 8:55pm and it’s at WCC, another first for all of us! We have to decide if we want to see Fantasmic again. Today is the only day it’s showing our entire trip and it’s at 6:30pm. It’s going to depend on how our day goes at AK. After dinner, it’s back to the resort and hittin’ the hay. We’ll be so whooped by then!
Day 8: Epcot/MK take 2
• We’re sleepin’ in today! We have a 10am Kona Café ADR that we’re all looking forward to for one item or another. Again, another 1st for all of us. Lunch will be CS at Epcot or MK. Depends on how we feel at breakfast. We’ll let the kids decide. Regardless, we’ll be in Epcot for dinner tonight. We have an 8:50pm ressie at Chefs de France. We’ll get to watch Illuminations from here!!! We originally had Cape May for dinner, but with the surfacing of Stitch’s shellfish allergy, we’re passing on it this trip. If we’re in Epcot, we’ll hit the 5 or 6:45pm candlelight procession tonight as well. Tonight is EMH for Epcot, so you know where we’ll be till midnight! Then we’re bussin’ back to OKW to hit the beds again….we got an early day tomorrow!
Day 9: MK/Epcot take 3
• We have an 8am pre park opening ADR for Crystal Palace. Another new one for us. Lunch will be CS at MK most likely. We’re planning on finishing up everything we want to repeat today at MK. If we did CP last night, we probably won’t even hit Epcot today at all. We have our 6:05pm ADR at 1900 Park Fare tonight, again another 1st for us. We’ll hop back to MK and do the evening there. Spectro and Wishes are our family’s fave! We love to grab some MK bakery goodies and sit on the curb and share everything and munch away together. Tomorrow is another early day too.
Day 10: Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it’s on the road we go
• We have a 7:45am O’Hana goodbye breakfast planned today. We’ll hit that, go back to OKW and pack the car and be on our way home. We’ll drive straight through this time. It’ll be sad to leave WDW, but so nice to get home to OUR beds.

So I've made a few ADR changes, which are noted in red below. I would also LOVE any opinions on the ADR's that you would change. I've also noted my OOP meals. If there are any you'd ditch, let me know I'm having second thoughts about doing 50's, GFC, and Chefs (I put these in blue since I'm hem hawin' about them). I would like to do a LTT lunch one day instead, but am clueless as to the other two. I'm still holding out hope against hope for a....don't laught at me too hard now...Le Cellier dinner one night since Nana has never been. And...green items cannot be changed due to kids choices. So here is where I'm at as of this minute:
Day 1/Arrival Day
B - On the road
L - WPE @ DTD
D - The Wave @ 7:10pm (Alice will be receiving her custom cake at this meal, since this is the place she really wants to eat at)
Day 2
B- In room or snacks from the resort
L - CS @ Epcot; definitely Tangeirine for me
D - O'Hana @ 9:30pm - family pick (we do this time purposefully so that we can watch the EWP at 9 on the beach and then request a window seat for Wishes during our meal. The is just the best!)
Day 3
B - CS @ SSR Goods to Go
L - Sci Fi @ 3:05pm - all the kids want to go here! OOP
D - 50's Prime Time @ 9:50pm I'm scared to death of CS at DHS We could absolutely eat in the room or use snack credits for BF, but what about dinner??? Should we hit the BW??? If so, where???
Day 4
B - CS @ Main St Bakery
L - Gardenview Tea Room @ 2pm for the girls Alice will be receiving her White Chocolate Glass Slipper dessert I ordered at the Tea. OOP
D - Kona Cafe @ 7:30pm - my pick
Day 5
B- WPE
L - Planet Hollywood @ 11:30am with our 2 $15 vouchers! Rest is OOP
D - Grand Floridian Cafe - my pick for a nice meal with lots of variety, but now I'm not so sure and I don't know why?
Day 6 (Turkey Day!)
B - Tusker House @ 8am - Stitch's pick...she loves Donald OOP
L- CS @ I DON'T KNOW WHERE! HELP! I had orginally put Mara here, but they serve fried shrimp. This means they use the same oil to fry their shrimp as they do their chicken strips, fries, etc. And that's a BIG no no for Stitch now We actually could just skip it lunch today since we have the big buffet for BF and the AYCE Turkey Dinner at night.
D - WCC @ 8:55pm - my DBFF swears by WCC and her and her family just LOVE it. Her and I have really similar palettes so I think this is a good choice. It's also what Nana picked too.
Day 7
B - Kona Cafe @ 10am - I MUST HAVE TONGA TOAST this trip!!! OOP
L - CS @ Epcot @ Sunshine Seasons
D - Chefs de France @ 8:50pm - chose this cuz of the Prixe Fixe menu so we could all have appitizer, entree, and desert. But now I'm second guessing! Thoughts???
Day 8
B - Crystal Palace @ 8:10am - my pick for Stitch. OOP
L - CS @ MK - either CHH or Pecos Bills...this is where I'm thinking of putting LTT and ditching CP...THOUGHTS???
D - 1900 Park Fare @ 6:05pm - Stitch's pickDay 9
B - O'Hana @ 7:45am - Stitch's pick OOP
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now I just need your help and opinions. Pretty please???? I have 6 OOP meals on top of our DDP and I feel that's just WAY too many and I'm not really getting any savings. Ugh....my brain hurts.... :sad2:

Okay, now that is a lot of food!! You definitely have some wiggle room here, I would suggest a couple of things:
Day 3: You could skip the 50's Prime Time Cafe in my opinion. I think people go there mostly for the atmosphere. The food is just so so. I've been there twice and have had my fill. You could do one of two things instead: Have dinner at one of the Boardwalk Resort restaurants:
Big River Grille & Brewing Works: They have a wide variety of soups and salads, as well as American Fare entrees. Check their menu out at: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=2
Another place you could try at the Boardwalk is:
Kouzzina. You might have to be a little adventurous with this restaurant as it's Mediterranean. Look at the menu here:http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=561
With the other options available, you could try a CS at HS. Now, I know people have mentioned their distaste for CS here, and really, it is limited. Depending on what your kids like to eat, there are a couple of options that I've had and I do enjoy:
Studio Catering Company: They have salads, wraps, sandwiches, and hot dogs.
Backlot Express: I've eaten here a few times and although there isn't anything spectacular on the menu, the food has always been good. Things like cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, and a salad choice are here.
I would honestly go with what you think your family would like the best.
Day 5. Keep your GFC. I've heard nothing but good things about this place. The atmosphere alone would be worth it in my opinion.
Day 6. Turkey Day: CS at AK isn't really too hard. Flame Tree BBQ is by far my favorite. You should be able to find something here for everyone. Now, I haven't been to Yak n Yeti's CS yet, but that is a must do on my list. Take a look at their menus:
Flame Tree BBQ: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=169
(http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=169)
Yak n Yeti: Well, they didn't have it up, I don't know why. But from my ITOUCH application, I can run down a couple of choices: They have American style chinese: Sweet and Sour Pork, Honey Chicken, Kung Pao Beef, Shrimp Lo Mein, and a Mandarin Chicken Salad. They also have sides of Chicken Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, and Fries (believe it or not)
Day 7: We are going to Chefs de France, that was my pick for one of the three TS restaurants we're going to. I haven't eaten there, but the menu looks pretty good to me. This one I'm not much help on, because, really, I would tell you to go!
I hope that this extremely long post has been helpful. If you would like more advice, go to the dining boards and read some of the reviews. That's always a good way to get information.
P.S. Aren't you excited??? You have only 15 days!!!

Thank you SO much for your help! You rock!!! I already cancelled Chefs de France for this trip. Now I just need to cancel one more:confused3 Leaning towards cancelling 50's at this point, but just can't decide!:headache:

I wouldn't ditch Crystal Palace. They are getting to redo it and this will be your last chance to see it before the renovations.

I am too excited for still being 17 days out.... :rolleyes1 The kids are not helping as everyday they text which ride should we ride first? What is your favorite all time ride? Should we take pics of toontown so when it is gone we have the origonal? Where can we get cheese for fries? Are we doing this? Can you remember going to Tom Sawyer Island? Did we ever ride the riverboat thing? On and on and on............ Now I have to try and figure out where a grocery store is because that is next on my list of things to do. But... my binder is getting very thick with stuff from all 3 trips.

Got some bad news about the death of a very close friend on Friday. I know have to go to a funeral over Thankgiving. So we are cutting our Disney time in half. We are going to spend our other half in Clearwater Beach, which is my hometown. So we will be at SSR 11/21 - 11/25 and heading to Clearwater the afternoon of the 25th. We're still going to have a blast and our March trip will be even more fun...and longer...now:) Oh and now my mom is not coming. Which is really ok by me, I get my kiddos all to myself!

I'd even ride on the roof if I had to!
Did you guys hear about the lady who bought something really big (a bed or board or something) and she made her daughter sit on it on the top of her car and drove home?! OMG! Who is that stupid?! Sorry if that was any of you or your family.
