Welcome to everyone that came over from the Wish Trip boards! :wizard:
For those of you just joining, I will give you a brief background of who went on our trip. It was me, my husband, my DD9, DS4 and DD1. We left our house at 4:15 am on 9/12. The airport is about 20 minutes from our home. Our flight was at 5:40 am. The flight was on time, but we encountered a problem getting on to the plane. The two little ones were in their double stroller and the plane was outside at the bottom of a flight of stairs. There was no elevator. We had to somehow get two little ones, a double stroller and all of our carry-on bags down this flight of stairs. It was not an easy challenge, but we managed. Both flights were relatively smooth. On the second flight I met a young couple that was going for Free Dining and they were both military. They had not booked any dining reservations and they thought that the concierge could do that when they arrived. I pulled out my Passporter book and helped them compile a list of possible places to eat. Hopefully, they were able to get some reservations!
We made it to the Magic Express line at the airport and it was much shorter than it was 2 years ago. We waited about 30 minutes for a bus. Our flight arrived in Orlando at 11:30 am and we were in our room in Pop Century at 1:30 pm. I did the advanced online check-in. I did not send a room request. We stayed in the seventies section facing the lake and it was about a 2-3 minute walk to the dining hall and the busses. We were at Pop Century from Sept. 12-20, 2009 on the free dining plan.

Once we were settled in our room we decided to head to the Magic Kingdom for a few hours prior to dinner at the Whispering Café. We arrived right as the afternoon parade was travelling past Main Street. DH and the kids decided to watch the parade while I went to Guest Services to ask about a Guest Assistance Card (GAC). I had a letter from my geneticists with the most recent diagnosis of my son’s condition. They handed me a red tag for the stroller so he could use it as a wheelchair and a GAC card. They did not explain what to do with it. I went back and met my family. We chose to ride Buzz Lightyear Spin first. DS decided to have his first of many melt downs when he saw the ride. He was scared. They let us in the handicapped line and then had us go to the exit of the ride and we waited a few minutes until we were ready to board. We carried the two little ones from the stroller to the ride. DS screamed the entire ride!

Next we saw that Stitch was out. We waited in line to visit with Stitch as there were only a few people in line. When we got up to Stitch DS would not get out of his stroller. His whole Wish in November revolves around Stitch so this was a problem. He did give him a high five.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01592.jpg
Then it was time for dinner so we took the boat from the Magic Kingdom to Wilderness Lodge. DS seemed to do ok on the boat. We arrived 15 minutes early for dinner and the restaurant was not open yet. The host and hostesses played games with the kids. One little girl was chosen to ring the dinner bell to let everyone in the hotel know that it was time for dinner.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01606.jpg
We had a lot of fun here. The kids enjoyed the antics of the servers and the food was delicious. We ordered the skillet and I was leery of doing this since I assumed that all of the food was piled all together, but it was all in the skillet, but each item had its own little space. The food was amazing. Then there was dessert at the end of the meal! There was no room for dessert. They brought my daughter a little cake and sang to her for her birthday. Then since we were also celebrating our anniversary this week, they brought DH and me glasses of champagne. They announced our anniversary to the restaurant and then told my husband to recreate our wedding kiss. I was so embarrassed, but my husband hammed it up and dipped me.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01607.jpg
Then we explored Wilderness Lodge for a little bit and there were tons of rabbits hopping around in the grass. Next, we took the boat back to the Magic Kingdom. This time DS was ok with the boat. As we discovered as the week went on, we had to scream through each ride once and then the second time it was fun to ride.
We walked over to Toon Town since the two girls wanted to meet the fairies. Tinkerbell, Silvermist and Fawn were present. They had fun interacting with the fairies and the fairies loved their homemade autograph books. The fairies could not believe that we had a picture of each of them in our books. I had many pages for each child’s book and then depending on the park we were going to each day, I added new pages and removed the already signed pages so that once we arrived home I would put them completely back together. The creative designers here make some amazing autograph pages to share. Thank you!

Next we toured Mickey’s house and met Mickey and Minnie in the Judges tent.

Then it was time to call it an evening. I had been up the entire night before making autograph books and Epcot passports. I normally plan ahead, but we had just moved and I had painted all 3 kids’ rooms and my office. I have 6 more rooms to paint now that we are back home. To say the least, I was tired and needed sleep! It was a fun start for our first partial day!

It took forever for me to be able to pull up your TR!? Must be my computer here at work. I keep losing my internet connection. :confused3
Awesome start to your report!
Glad you didn't have any issues with ME.
I can't believe they did not tell you guys how to use the GAC? Think they thought you knew?
UH OH! He is scared of the rides? Of STITCH?!? Oh, I hope that gets better!! I guess they look different on the TV screen.
The Fairies! I have yet to see the fairies! I hope to see them in December!
Looks like fun!
I love seeing Mickey and Minnie together! :cloud9:

We woke up this morning and decided to fill our refillable mugs and have Pop Tarts in our room. The kids slept in, which is a rare occurrence in our family. We then headed out to the Magic Kingdom. DD9 was asked by the security guard if she helped out with the two little ones in the stroller and when she replied, “yes” she was awarded with a Police Officer badge. She was told that she was an honorary officer for the day. She proudly wore her sticker!
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01648.jpg
Then we headed off to Fantasyland. We rode Winnie the Pooh, Small World and the Carousel.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01656.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01657.jpg
Then we rode the Dumbos and met another family in line with a special needs son a little older than ours. We were able to visit with them while we waited on our Dumbos.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01665.jpg
Then we took a break in the air conditioning and saw Mickey’s Philharmagic. The two little ones would not leave their glasses on so I am not sure how much they saw of the show.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01666.jpg
Next DH took the kids to meet the Fairy Godmother, who was outside of the castle.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01667.jpg
I went to check-in for our special surprise, but there were over 20 people in a very slow moving line. The family returned before I was called to the front of the line. The look on DD9’s face when she heard where we were eating was priceless. She was so excited. I had told her that the castle took 2 dining credits and that reservations were next to impossible to obtain.
First we entered into the entryway and stood in line to have our photo taken with Cinderella. This was fun. Since there were five members in our party we automatically received 2 photo packages so we took one with just the kids and one with everyone. I guess it did not matter that the fifth member of our party was under 3 and a non-paying member.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01669.jpg
Then we were led upstairs to our table. The table was decorated with confetti of castles and golden carriages. Each child was handed a wishing star. Then they brought around swords for the boys and wands for the girls. They gave DD1 a sword and I had to explain that she was a girl. Then she had a wand. My DH did not know everything that was included with the meal. I thought everyone should have a few surprises. I love surprises, but I am always the one creating them!

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01676.jpg
Then the princesses were introduced one at a time with a shortened version of their stories. They took their time at our table.
First, Snow White came to visit.

Next, Aurora came to say hi.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01690.jpg
Then there was the wish ceremony where the kids waved their swords and wands in the air, tapped their stars and made a wish.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01691.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01692.jpg
Then Jasmine stopped by.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01695.jpg
The food was good. I ordered the sandwich and it was huge. They told us that DD1 would receive a free plate of buttered pasta and a sundae for dessert. This benefit was awesome since the other sit down places had us share with her. She loved the chocolate crown.
DD9 also received a special birthday sundae. Our anniversary and her birthday were printed on the reservation slips at every restaurant we went to.

What a great start to your TR. Wow to get a start so early on it. I am having so much trouble getting my going. We have had so much going on since we have gotten back.
I love the meal with the princesses. That sounded like so much fun. Can't wait to read more.

Thank you for all of the wonderful comments. I am still trying to figure out how to quote more than one response at a time. My DD9 did love having lunch with the princesses. She was so surprised and that surprise was hard to keep a secret! My DS4 will get to meet Stitch more than once in the near future.
I will add a new update shortly. It may be over several posts as it is long. I am trying to not add too many pictures, but I took 1398 and it is hard to only pick a few to add.

Day 2 Continued….
After lunch we met the most wonderful character handler, Rosa. Tyler was scared to death of Pooh and she took his hand and led him over to Pooh. She had him feel how soft Pooh was and convinced him that Pooh was his friend. By the end of the interaction Tyler was giving Tigger high fives.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01711.jpg
After this everyone but me rode the tea cups. Tyler was scared of this ride too!
Then DD1, DS4 and DH went back to the hotel to take a nap. DD9 wanted to play more so we did. However, I wanted to get my haircut first and there were only 2 people in line so we joined the line. I had had long hair and my hairdresser at home shortened it and added some layers, but it was just not working for me. The hairdresser at the Magic Kingdom worked wonders and then added some pixie dust at the end. DD9 took 18 pictures of the haircut, but I will only bore you with four.

When we exited the barber shop it was almost time for the parade to start. There was no one waiting for it so we stood behind the empty rope line and had an amazing view of the parade coming out of the backstage area.

Next we went to ride pirates. I love this ride! After the ride we met two pirates in the gift shop who agreed to take a picture with DD9. One of the pirates tried to steal Pal Mickey, but he did not realize that he was attached to the lanyard and he was unsuccessful, but my DD was laughing hard at his attempts.

Then we rode my favorite ride: Haunted Mansion! All of the pictures below were taken without flash so I did not disrupt the ride for anyone.

After the ride a cast member took a photo with us. Then the cast member that took the photo showed us some little known facts in the pet cemetery. We knew that Mr. Toad was there, but we had never read the sayings on the other stones. The duck had one about waddling and not seeing a truck. The rat met his fate with a garden rake. They were hard to see, but they were cute sayings.

We were walking to Frontierland when we ran into Frontier Donald Duck. DD9 wanted to meet him so we waited in line. When it was her turn Donald saw his picture on his autograph page and went nuts. He danced around and showed it to everyone that would look at it. The character handler had to call him back to take the picture. He signed the book and then posed with DD9 while holding the book with his picture facing out! DD9 will never forget that moment!

Next we took the raft to Tom Sawyer Island. I cannot remember the last time I went over there. We did not find any paint brushes. We did have fun exploring the caves, mines and paths. It was a nice and quiet break from the day.

After returning to Frontierland we started to head to the front of the park. My DH called and said that they were walking down Main Street. The Block Party had just started so we had a little bit of difficulty reaching one another. The kids loved dancing in the street with the characters.

Then DS4 decided that he would like to try Buzz Lightyear again. He did not cry this time! He loved it and was having a blast shooting his gun. I got my all time I score. I tried to take a picture of it, but it kept flashing on and off. It was 330,300! I can’t see where I am shooting so I just keep pushing the button and hope I hit something!

By this point everyone was hungry so we decided to have dinner in Tomorrowland with Sonny Eclipse. DD9 thinks this is the best place to eat. It had just started raining so we ate while it rained.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01827.jpg
Then we decided to try the Tomorrow land Speedway. DS4 was also scared of these cars. I promise that this also turns around later in the week.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/Disney%20Sept%2012%2020%202009/DSC01831.jpg
To calm everyone down we went through Minnie Mouse’s house again. The kids love all of the buttons in there. The GAC was wonderful here since we could push the stroller through the house and not have to take the two little ones out.

Then we went to visit Ariel. This is the first time we had a problem with the GAC card. The first cast member let us in and then the second one questioned our card. She let us stand at the wheelchair entrance, but she had us wait a half an hour to see Ariel. It was not a big deal, but as we learned throughout the week not everyone is trained on what to do with the cards.

Then DS4 wanted to ride Small World again. This time he sat in the boat without holding on to anyone and smiled and pointed at all of the happenings. He loved it this time! We learned that he had to scream through each ride once since it was unfamiliar and then he would enjoy it a second time.

It was still hot out so we took a break to watch the Country Bears. I collect bears and love this corny show. I took several pictures during the show. I did not use my flash. We were in the front row and the lighting was bright enough for the photos to come out.

We rode the Jungle Cruise and had a wonderful skipper for the cruise. After that we rode the Magic Carpets without DH and DS4. My son was too scared. Then we went to see the Tiki Birds. The cast member saw my daughter’s birthday button and gave her a Hawaiian Lei to wear. The cast member at the door was the one that helped us at the carpets and after the show he asked if DS4 liked the show and he did. It was so nice to have someone so caring to check on us and how we were doing.

Great start to your trip report! DD looks so incredibly happy at CRT! I hope you had another opportunity to see Stitch!
We saw Stitch several more times. It does get better!
Thanks for the trip report. I'mm keep reading.
Thanks for joining!
What a great start to your TR. Wow to get a start so early on it. I am having so much trouble getting my going. We have had so much going on since we have gotten back.
I love the meal with the princesses. That sounded like so much fun. Can't wait to read more.
The princess meal was worth using two dining credits on it. You will get your report started. I have to work on mine during nap time and after the kids go to bed. I upload the photos I want to photobucket and while they are uploading I type the report in a word document. That way I can stop and start when the phone rings or someone needs something. I love Lucas's magical morning. I read about it on Maroo's mini-report!
Looks like you had a great time! Your children are adorable! I especially love the picture of your son hugging Snow White. SO cute!
DS4 really liked Snow White. He says that he wants to go and see her again, which is a good sign for his Wish Trip in November!
Maroo: Thank you for teaching me how to multiple quote! As always you save the day!

Thanks about the haircut! I heard your little ones were sick. I hope they are feeling better. Hayley came home from Disney with and ear infection and bronchitis. She is feeling better now. The other two had coughs which are slowly going away. I hope to post some more pictures and report info. tomorrow! I need to go coach 4 year old soccer practice now! :wizard:

This morning started a little rough. We decided to have breakfast at Pop Century’s Food Court. My DH went to get the food while I got the three kids seated. While we were trying to help everyone with their food, DS4 put too much food in his mouth at once. This happens almost every meal, but we normally watch him more closely and remind him to take little bites. It was too late. He choked and up came all of breakfast. So, while I cleaned up the mess and DH took DS4 back to the room for a new outfit.
We finally get everyone ready for the day and head to the Animal Kingdom. Timon was out with Ratcliffe from Pocahontas. My DH was in line with the kids to meet Timon. There was no one in line for Ratcliffe so I went to ask the cast member if with DS4’s card he could meet Timon. He said no problem. Then another cast member came over after I pulled the family out of line and at this point they were only 3rd in line and he said no because we did not have a green stamp. Well DH is furious with me and takes a picture with Ratcliffe and then walks off with the two little ones while I am escorted by the cast member to guest relations.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01888.jpg
A manager comes over to ask what the problem is and the cast member was gone by this point. I explained the situation to him. He tells me that my card does not need a green stamp since a green stamp only means that your child is staying at Give Kids the World. It does not grant you any extra privileges. He apologizes and says that they character handler should have recognized my card. We go back out to talk to the character handler, but they are no longer out. Now, DD9 is with me this whole time. We go back to customer service and the manager asked some more questions about DS4 and it turns out we were missing one of the stroller as a wheelchair stamps on our card so he stamps it with that stamp and the green stamp. He explains that we should not need it, but if it will make our visit smoother he will add all of the possible stamps we may need. He also lets us know that in case anyone asks that Give Kids the World is a resort where many Wish kids stay during their visit to Disney World. It is now a truly magic card! I manage to reach my DH on the cell phone and he is no longer mad and the two little ones are looking at animals as they slowly stroll through the park.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01890.jpg
Next we decide to head to Camp Minnie Mickey. We see Chip and Dale and get in line to meet them.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01895.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01896.jpg
At this point all of the characters are just out in the street area, but within a few minutes they are all moved to their covered pavilions. DD1 and DS4 decide that they are afraid of characters again this morning.
Then DS4 came out and reluctantly gave Donald Duck his autograph book.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01898.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01901.jpg
However, Koda and Kenai scared them!
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01903.jpg
When we met Goofy, they were a little less scared.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01904.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01905.jpg
Then DD1 decided that Minnie Mouse was friendly.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01908.jpg
DS4 wanted to hold Mickey Mouse’s hand.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01910.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01911.jpg
After this exhausting visit we decided to go see the next showing of the Lion King. We were seated in the Pumba section. DS4 really liked this show, but he was a little scared when Pumba sat right next to him. DD9 was picked to be part of the show, but she was too scared and did not go.

Then we decided to ride the safari. On the way to the safari we ran into a character line. It was none other than Stitch! We used our pass to go up the exit as the line was long and in the sun. DS4 does not tolerate the sun well and turns bright red, but he does not sweat. One rude gentleman told us that the back of the line was back there and pointed to it. I heard the cast member quietly whisper to him that DS4 was special needs and he had a special card to allow him to go in the exit line. My husband was very embarrassed at this point and we did not use the card for characters for some time after this. He thought it was rude to cut in line even though Disney said it was ok. DS4 was so excited to see “his” Stitch!

We decided to go through the jungle trek and see the tigers. Our zoo recently added tigers and the two littlest love them. However, today the tigers were in the corners of the exhibit and sleeping.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01941.jpg
After walking through this section we decided it was time for lunch. Everyone else had the same idea. After I stood in line for about ten minutes I was given one of those timer things to present when I was handed my food. We were in line at the Flame Tree Barbecue. The problem was there were two lines for each register with one attendant per register. She would take an order from the left and then one from the right. The line was in the sun and it took thirty minutes to get through the line that only had 3 people ahead of me on my left side of the line. There were lots of new cast members that were being trained.
We went down and sat by the water to eat. We had a wonderful view of Everest.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01946.jpg
Next we went on the Safari. The kids loved this ride. There were lots of animals out today and the driver would stop and let everyone look at the animals and take pictures. We were on the handicapped tram so I think she gave everyone an extra special tour. It was amazing!

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01958.jpg
Next we took the trail across from the Safari. DD9 loved the naked mole rats. The cast member was so excited that someone was interested in them that she told us all about how they lived and which one was the queen. It was fascinating.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01971.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01972.jpg
Next we went to see the gorillas. At first they were laying down, but then they got up and put on a show for the guests.

It started to rain a little at this point so we headed to the baby care center to change diapers and take a break. We also strolled through the gift shop. We discovered that the handicapped area for the parade is right outside the baby care center so we stayed inside until the parade.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC01983.jpg
I love this parade. It is so bright and colorful and fun. The kids got over their fear of characters and I will let the parade photos speak for themselves.

Then we went back to the hotel for a nap break. DH took DD9 swimming while the two little ones slept.
Then it was time for dinner. We had reservations at Kona. We decided to take the Magic Kingdom bus and then take the monorail to dinner. We stood in the handicapped lane of the bus lane for Magic Kingdom. Another mom and her two daughters joined us. One of her daughters was in a wheelchair. She is a dis member too so maybe she will stop by and say hi. The bus pulled up, opened the front doors, filled up the bus and drove off. The other mom and I just looked at each other in disbelief. Well, I have the bus dispatch number from a trip two years ago. I immediately got on the phone and called dispatch and gave them the bus number and told them what had just happened. They sent a second bus right away. This driver was not going to let us put the stroller on through the back doors, but then he saw the sticker and said, “ok”. We got to the Magic Kingdom and the bus supervisor met us when we got off the bus. He asked us to fill out an incident report. I did and the other mom was late for dinner reservations so she just signed my report and agreed with what I said. Then the supervisor asked if there was anything else he could do and we said that we were heading to Kona for dinner. He put us back on the bus and we had a personal bus ride to the Polynesian. When we got off at the Polynesian the bus driver apologized again for not recognizing DS’s handicapped sticker. The busses were a challenge all week!

Dinner was good, but the service was slow. Our meal took over an hour and a half just because our server kept disappearing and not returning. She presented us with dessert menus and did not come back for 15 minutes to take our dessert order. Normally this would not be a big deal, but we wanted to go to the extra magic hours at Disney Studios and it was only open until 9:00 pm.

After dinner we took a bus to Disney Studios. While on the bus we were able to see Wishes and Illuminations as the bus driver pointed them out to us. We were the only people on the bus. We got to the park 30 minutes prior to closing. DH and DD9 went to ride the Rockin’ Rollercoaster. DD9 said that she did not like it.
I took the two little ones to the Playhouse Disney Dance Party. DS4 would not get out of the stroller and kept signing scared. DD1 stayed in the stroller until she saw Minnie Mouse and she made a bee line for her. DS4 decided that if DD1 wasn’t afraid, then he would go and say hi to Minnie before climbing back into the stroller.

Thank you for taking the time to call. Thank you for filling out the forms! This will help us in December when we have Rachel with us. :thumbsup2

Today we thought we would venture to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I keep calling it MGM, since that used to be its name.
We started with a ride that DS4 would not be scared of – Toy Story Mania. We missed a lot of the pre-ride decorations since we went in the handicapped lane. It was so nice not to have to carry a 38 lb. 4 year old and a 28 lb. 19 month old through the lines. Everyone loved this ride!

Then we went to the Narnia exhibit. I was not sure what to expect. The movie in the beginning was a little dark, but the kids made it through it. The costumes and props from the movie were great. We never did figure out where the meet and greet was so we skipped it.

Next, DS4 saw Lighting McQueen. He could hardly wait his turn to go and see McQueen and Mater. He was so excited. Today we had given up on the baby’s shoes as she kept taking them off. I found one shoe when I was coming down the staircase a few days before after eating in the castle. I thought it was fitting that Cinderella lost her shoe. DD1 dresses up as Cinderella later in the week for MNSSHP. I am just glad I saw the show stuck in the railing. My DH had taken her to change her diaper and did not notice it had fallen off. Anyway, no shoes = no getting down to meet characters! DD9 agreed to carry her over to meet Lightning and Mater.

We were walking past the Muppets show and decided to go in. I grew up watching the Muppet Show on TV. I know I am showing my age, but I love the Muppets. The photo taken of Stadler and Waldorf in the balcony was taken without flash.

At DD9’s request we stopped to have lunch at Toy Story Pizza Planet. For a counter service meal, it is a lot of food and it is good. The pizza crust is thick and crispy. The meal comes with a salad, pizza, drink and a dessert. The kids got Mickey Mouse Rice Crispy treats for their desserts, but they were not still hungry so we saved them for later.

DD9 wanted to pose outside the Christmas shop.

We decided to visit Mike and Sully. We went to where the cast member told us their meet and greet was, but we only found Boo’s door. They had moved to a different location for today. We got in the regular line. A cast member walked up to us and told us that Sully would be leaving and we would only get to meet Mike. I showed him the Magic Card while my husband tried to hide. I asked if we could meet Sully on his way out. The cast member chastised me for not showing my card sooner and pulled us up to the front of the line to meet them both. I was just trying to be considerate of all of the other families in line.

Two years ago our family visited Disney and we did not see Lights, Motor Action. I was five months pregnant and I had seen it with my friend the year before. I remembered it being hot and in the sun. I agreed to see it this time. We all went in. The handicapped person and one other person sit in handicapped seating. The rest of the family or group sits on the bleachers a few rows higher up. DS4 started screaming before it started and so DH and I traded places. DS4 was hot and did not want to watch the show. I tried to calm him down. The show was running 15 minutes behind the scheduled start time. DS4 is scared of loud noises. The show started and we barely made it through the first “Ballet Sequence” before I got up and left with the two little ones.

Warning: If you are a Disboutiquer, don’t look at my kid’s costumes. DD1 went as Cinderella. I made her a tutu with a slip skirt underneath to keep the itchies off of her legs and to hide her diaper. Then I cheated and had my DD9 use her bejeweler to create a crown on a tank top I purchased since I ran out of time to create a top. Then DS4’s outfit was a white t-shirt that was cut to look like a pirate after I ripped the seams out of the arms and bottom prior to cutting in the triangle cuts. I sewed him a pair of pirate pants and a belt. I also took an extra pirate from the material and sewed it on to the shirt to give it character, but I don’t know how to keep the edges from fraying. Then I used some scrap material to make DD9 a Sharpay prom dress and she bejeweled the front of it to make it fancier. I have never had sewing lessons and I purchased a sewing machine and an instruction book about 9 years ago. After DS4 was born I purchased a serger, but I can only make weighted therapy blankets with it. I am sure it can do so much more, but I do not know how. Anyway, that is how their costumes were created for this special night!

We started by eating at the Crystal Palace. I thought the characters would be in costume, but they were not. The restaurant was about 30 minutes behind. We met a wonderful family from Canada who was there with their son in his Wish trip while we waited.
Then we were seated. Piglet came right away. Piglet is DD9’s favorite character or he used to be. She has over 50 stuffed Piglets.

I went to get some food. I tried to get in line for the main entrees while skipping the salad section and the people in front of me kept moving forward and going backwards. I started up a conversation with a nice gentleman behind me about how I could not seem to navigate the line. It turns out that he works with special needs adults. He was there with his mom, but he was coming back in October with the other adults and they were so excited about his trip. He complimented me on my shirt and asked where I got it. I told him that I made it two years ago from a design on Disboards. He asked if the designers charged for their designs and I said, “No”. He was familiar with Disboards and said he would check it out. He then also complimented me on the kids’ costumes when he saw them. I also shared with him their autograph books and he then decided I was a future Martha Stewart. I wish I could take credit, but I just printed the stuff that others designed. The only thing I did was sew some very basic costumes for the kids. I bumped into him a few more times at the buffet and we conversed some more. He was so friendly and he stopped by the table to say bye before they left. It turns out he was sitting two tables over from us!
Here are the pictures from the rest of dinner. You can see DD1 being scared and DS4 being overly excited while DD9 is just happy! It was a fun dinner.

Now I was supposed to meet Corrine 1973 and her family at the County Fair at 7:00 PM. We left dinner at 7:03 PM and we still had to walk to Toon Town. I called her and they had just arrived and were in the shop across from it purchasing something. I called her back when we arrived and a few minutes later she came across with her brother and her 3 kids. All 6 kids were now super excited to meet new friends.
First we asked to go and see the princesses. We showed the character attendant both of our GACs. We only had to wait a few minutes. The kids were so excited. This year it was Aurora and Phillip along with Cinderella and Prince Charming. It was a little chaotic at first. We did individual family photos and group photos.
First are my DH and three kids with Corrine 1973 and her 3 kids.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02164.jpg
I am not sure what happened to the rest of my family’s photos with Aurora and Phillip, but I know there are some on the Photopass once it arrives.
Next we met Cinderella and Prince Charming. During MNSSHP is one of the few times guests can meet princesses with the princes that I know of.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02166.jpg
Next Corrine 1973 and her family are photographed with me and my family.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02167.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02168.jpg
Now we are exiting again and who should be in the hallway to the exit, but Alice!
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02169.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02170.jpg
After photos with Alice, the character handler asked us to follow her to Pixie Hollow. So we all went to Pixie Hollow. The kids loved watching the flashing lights on the walls and ceiling that represented the fairies in the hollow.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02172.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02171.jpg
Finally, it was our turn to meet the fairies. Tonight only Tinkerbell was present. She explained that Irridessa was preparing for the fireworks show.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02173.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02175.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02176.jpg
Then while Tinkerbell was signing autograph books, the kids all climbed into the chipped tea cup. They had more fun in it than meeting Tinkerbell!
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02177.jpg
Then my DD1 got to meet her favorite character, Tinkerbell and give her a hug. She was going to be Tinkerbell for Halloween, but the fabric store did not have any light green or lime green tulle so she became Cinderella.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02178.jpg
We went down the exit hallway again and this time the Mad Hatter was there with Alice, but Alice had to leave. We said that we had met her so it was ok.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02179.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02180.jpg
Then as we were finishing up our pictures, the stepmom from Cinderella and her two daughters walked past us. We were asked to follow them to another location and the kids got to meet the three of them.
Drizella took to DD1 and played with her.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02181.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02183.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02185.jpg
Lady Tremaine was her nasty mean self unless you told her one of her daughters was beautiful. DS4 really took to Anastasia. However, Lady Tremaine said that unless he was rich she could not marry him. Then DS4 lifted up the dark green part of her dress. Now the light green part was still down and nothing showed, but my husband was mortified. To make matters worse Lady Tremaine chastised him and told him that it was not gentlemanly. I thought it was funny, but I was the only one. What can you expect from a curious special needs 4 year old?

By this point it was about 7:45 and the first parade started at 8:15 so we decided to try and catch the first parade. We went to where the cast member at the park entrance told me to go for handicapped seating. In the process my DH went one way and Corrine and I went the other. We tried to get into the handicapped seating area by showing our stroller as a wheelchair tag and we were denied access. Before I could argue more my DH called and he was a few feet down the rope line. The cast member at that end of the line let us in. I did write a letter to Disney about the many problems we had with cast members each having their own policies on what wheelchairs could and could not do in the parks. I received a phone call yesterday letting me know that my letter was received. I was thanked for writing it and told it would be sent to the vice president of operations for the Magic Kingdom. I turned this 3 page letter in on the 17th of September and I got a call that it was being forwarded on Oct. 1st. Maybe the problem will be solved before we go back in November. I tried!
Then the parade started. I will apologize in advance, but I took lots of photos of the parade and I am only putting about half of them in this report!

Now for the part you have all been waiting for: Johnny Depp. We had been told that he was in the Friday parade and we were hoping it was him again tonight. I did not get a really good picture. I noticed that the pirate’s hands were older looking than a younger cast member’s might have been. It was confirmed a few days later that is was Mr. Depp! The cast member told me that he loves Halloween time at Disney World and he often pops in and plays Captain Jack in the parade. He said that he also posses for pictures outside of the pirate attraction. He first arranges everyone where he wants them and then he walks off right before the picture and when they protest, he explains that he is a pirate. However, he always comes back for the photo. They keep it very hush hush when he is there so if you ask cast members most of them won’t know. I think this is too cool!

After the pirates were my favorite part of the parade, the Haunted Mansion dancers, ghosts and float. I love how the shovels scrape the pavement to create sparks that light up the night. They have some fabulously talented dancers. They were also dealing with wet pavement as it had been raining for the first part of the party and the headless horseman did not ride.

After the parade Corrine 1973 and her family had not eaten so we headed towards Frontierland. My DH took them to The Golden Oak Outpost. I headed over to the Frontierland Trading Post. I had promised a friend I would purchase the framed pin set for her. It was only available during the party and she had the sets from the last 2 years. The shipped it for free and if you had a Disney Visa you saved 10%. While Corrine 1973 and her family were eating, my DH and kids trick-or-treated some more. I caught up with them outside of the pirates ride. We were invited into the Pirate’s League and they were handing out candy in there. When we exited there we were in the store outside of pirates. A cast member greeted us with a bowl of rubbery bugs and invited us to hunt for a gem. I pulled out a bug. She let me hunt until I found a gem. I got to keep my gem and the bug. We each took a turn doing this. Since Corrine 1973 and her family were not with us, my DH gave her kids some bugs when we met back up with them. I also tried to find out where Abu would be and after numerous phone calls between cast members no one seemed to have an answer. We never found him. Then the whole group got back together. We did some more trick or treating.
Then we decided to ride the Haunted Mansion. The guys went first. Then it was our turn to go. There was no line and we told the cast member that we wanted to skip the opening show since our special needs child was scared. She said ok and had us wait a minute. Then she led us down a hallway and told us to go through a door. We did. The cast member on the other end of the door said that we could not be there without a cast member escort. He sent us back to the handicapped entrance and said that someone would be with us shortly. Fifteen minutes later no one had arrived. Finally, an official looking person showed up and I told her the story. She put us right on the ride and apologized. She told us her name and told us we could stay on the ride a second time if we wanted, but it was not going to happen. This incident also went in my three page letter. The letter did also include some compliments for staff members.
After this we went to see the 9:30 showing of HalloWishes! It was amazing. They put holographic characters on the castle and lit up the castle in different colors to go along with the Halloween music and fireworks. I love these fireworks. I tried to take some photos of them.

Next we did a little bit of shopping in the official store for the party, The Merchants of Venus. It did not have all of the party merchandise. We were told that one shirt only came in kid’s sizes and later saw it in another store in adult sizes. I know that it was one of the first parties and the rain wrecked havoc on the set up of things, but it was very disorganized.
Then we all went to the 10:05 viewing of the Villains Mix and Mingle. By this point we had two sleeping children.

Ok, now that you are all tired of looking at pictures, I will finish with my last 25 and the rest of the story. During the night I made a wonderful new friend, Corrine. She is a fabulous mom and I don’t know how she does it with taking care of three fabulous kids!
We decided to try the Get Up and Boogie Dance Party in Ariel’s Grotto. The character’s costumes were so cute. The characters roamed around the dance floor and made sure to acknowledge each child.

Next, we were heading to Toon Town to trick or treat. We ran into Pooh and Eeyore. We also met George. George is a caring and compassionate character handler. He told us that the Seven Dwarves would be coming out in five minutes if we would like to wait to meet them. We told him that we would come back and he told us that we would have to be back by Midnight.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02287.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02288.jpg
Prior to starting down the trick or treat trail we saw Perla and then Mary so my DD9 had to have her photos taken with them.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02291.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02293.jpg
Earlier in the evening the trick or treat trail had been closed and we had trick or treated through Minnie and Mickey Mouse’s houses. We had lined up to meet Mickey, but people in the line stated that they had been waiting an hour and the line had not moved. We could not find any cast members to assist us when a cast member came out and apologized for the delay. She told us Minnie would be meeting people in her outdoor gazebo and only Mickey would be in the Judge’s Tent since the rain had stopped. We decided not to wait.
We went down the trail from Toon Town to Tomorrowland. Even though the rain was gone, no characters were on the trail which was disappointing. I took a few photos of the signs.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02297.jpg
We made it to the Boo-gie Dance Party. Stitch was there! DS4 had more fun playing with the hula hoops.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02303.jpg
At this point Corrine 1973’s oldest son, my oldest daughter, my DH and her brother decided to go and ride Buzz Lightyear Spin. The cast members started picking up the hula hoops and it was 10 til 12 so we decided to try to go and see the 7 Dwarves. We made it!
I took DD1 out of the stroller and unbuckled DS4. Corrine 1973 took her youngest out of the stroller and then the stroller with her daughter started to tip. We caught it right before it hit the ground. While this was going on we lost DS4. It was our turn and the Dwarves were leaving. We were the last group. So, we took the picture.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02304.jpg
The whole time I am yelling for DS4. I have no idea where he went. George is looking for him. Remember, Rosa from one of our first days? She is also looking for him. We keep yelling and he finally returns from somewhere over by Toon Town. We were by a fence diagonally across from the Tea Cups ride. Corrine 1973 had worked some sort of magic with the cast members. They allowed me to pick him up and take a picture with the Dwarves. In the middle of all of the chaos, my DH called and asked where we were and I told him and I told him that I lost DS4. Well the magic continues. DS4 got to give high 5’s to each of the Dwarves as they walked off. I was only able to get pictures of three of them as my flash was not resetting quick enough.

I promise more will come, but you may have to wait until Monday. I am so glad you like it so far! I have to coach both my 4 year olds and my 9 year olds soccer games tomorrow. I also need to paint the living room. We just moved into a new house 3 weeks before our trip and so far I have only painted the 3 kids rooms and my office.

What wonderful pictures!! Thank you for taking the time to upload them and share your awesome trip with us!!
I have to tell you, when you post your frustrations, and your dh's reactions - hah - btdt!! I know what you mean!! We also went thru some not so magical experiences, and dh was mortified, and I was incensed! (trying to use a fast pass that was expired time - late by one hour DUE TO DD medical issues! :confused3 But we had a not so magical experience at Epcot Guest Relations - she told me that GAC were ONLY for Autistic kids!! I am so grateful to all I learned from Disboards! Since that trip we had one other trip - and it went so smoothly - but like you we dont like to use the GAC - but its nice to have if you get a CM that tries to ruin the magic!!
Also - I loved your Halloween sewing!! and Johnny DEPP!! :faint: WOW :wizard:
The pictures from your MNSSHP make me want to try it once more!! shocking that!!

I finally got over here to start your trip report. Such great Character meets.
I am loving the pics of MNSSHP. The memories are just flooding back. It was completly awsome spending our time at MNSSHP with you and your wonderful family. We would have been completly lost that night with out you. It was our first time at MK and you seemed to know where to do the cool stuff. Stuff we would have missed with out you.
Little side note, remember how Liam was so scared about going into The Haunted Mansion and, though he had fun, refused to do it again? I asked him the next day if he wanted to ride it agian since his brother and sister hadn't ridden it. He said yes and was very excited about sharing it with his brother and sister.

I loved the Halloween party. It was fun sharing it with new friends too! Thank you for the compliments on my sewing. Seeing Johnny Depp was very cool! The GAC are good sometimes, but a pain at others. We hit the time of year where everyone is changing and all of the new college program cast members are just starting. I am hoping that after my letter, they train their new cast members better! :cheer2:
I love the pics! :)
Thank you! I was worried I was adding too many to my report. I took 1398 over the 9 days and I am trying to limit how many go in the report! :woohoo:

Yeah! I am glad you made it over. It was an awesome night! I hope we didn't wear you out trying to show you all of the amazing things the party had to offer. DS4 screamed every time we took him on a ride for the first time and then he would ride it again the next time and love it! I think there was just a lot to take in that night. I hope your brother got a better picture of Johnny Depp than I did! I can't wait until you start your trip report. I hope I reported everything correctly! It was a lot of fun! :grouphug:

This morning everyone slept in after being up late at the MNSSHP the night before. DH went and got pastries and muffins from the food court while also filling up our refillable mugs. We finally headed out for the day around 9:30 AM.
:stitch: :stitch: :stitch: :stitch: :stitch:
We decided to go to Epcot for the morning since we had not been to this park yet. We went through security and the turnstiles and my DD9 saw Daisy Duck. The line for her was really long! While we were trying to talk her out of visiting with Daisy my DS4 saw Stitch. He was all by himself and no one was around! Stitch and the three kids played together for about 15 minutes before another family showed up!

After Stitch we chose to ride Spaceship Earth. It had been closed for remodeling the last time we were here. We went to the side and went to the handicapped area. They had you park your stroller or wheelchair (if possible) and then you had to wait. They took your name and party number and told you that your wait might be up to 7 minutes and that they would call you when it was your turn. It was neat to see the improvements. The area underneath the globe was really neat with all of the interactive stuff, but we did not stay to play on it.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02320.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02321.jpg
Next, we walked over to the Universe of Energy. With the pre-show and the ride this experience took about an hour, but it was in air conditioning and DD1 took her nap during the ride. From here we decided to try Test Track. I carried a screaming 4 year old on to the ride. They almost didn’t let him ride he was screaming so much. You will have to wait for our Photopass photos to come in to see his scared little face. He did not like it at all. Then DD9 and my DH rode. They both loved it.
From here we walked through Innoventions and over to the Seas to find a calmer ride for the two little ones. DS4 screamed through Nemo. Then we walked around and looked at some fish before going to see Turtle Talk with Crush. It was really funny today! As we exited that show the handicapped entrance to Nemo was right next to it. Before I could grab DS4 he was on the ride so DD9 and I went with him. DH was putting DD1 into the stroller and I holler to him that we were riding again. This time he rode with sheer wonderment and amazement. It was a good thing it was the same cast member that had let us on the ride the first time and that there was no waiting. DS4 is a handful to watch!

Then we went over to the land to ride Soarin’. DS4 also did not like this ride. We also stopped to have lunch at the Sunshine Seasons. I love the desserts here and they count as snack credits on the dining plan if you are not having lunch. It was nice to sit down and take a break. We were sad that Living with the Land was closed.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02353.jpg
By the time we were done with lunch and rides it was about 3:30 and I knew that the Disney Visa photo shoot was from 1-4, well it turns out it was from 1:30 - 4, but we made it in time. We were the second family in line. We saw Mickey and Pluto. The kids had fun interacting with them and having their photos taken with them.

Then we tried to participate in the Piggy Bank game in Innoventions, but the cast member said that our stroller could not come in. I went to another area and found another cast member to ask why my stroller could not go in. I also explained that I showed the other cast member our GAC card and the stroller tag. The second cast member apologized and walked us back over there. He spoke with the first cast member and we were let in, but you could tell the first cast member was not happy about it. It is a cute learning experience about money. First you pick what you want to save for. DS4 hit the button for retirement before anyone could hit vacation or another fun choice.
Then you take your pig and put him in these little enclosures and you play a game. Then he pops out the other side and he is heavier with the money that you have earned. Then you go to the next little game. It is so cute. At the end you see if you made your goal or not. At each game up to 3 people can play at once. I would recommend taking time to do this.

Then we went to the Coke Cool Station. I tried to take a picture of DS4 taking a sip of the Beverly drink, but he said he liked it. I was confused. Then he took another sip and spit it across the room. I missed the ugly face photos. DD9 tried to warn him not to drink it!

Then we called it a day at Epcot. We went to the front of the park to pick our free Disney Visa 5x7 photo and have it shipped to our room. This process took a little while as only one of the four cast members knew how to ship something to your resort room, but it was worth it since I did not want to carry it with me the rest of the night!
Here is DD1 and her siblings riding the bus to Animal Kingdom.

We saw a neat closing ceremony as we entered as it was only extra Magic Hours for guest staying on Disney property.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02376.jpg
We headed over to Dinoland. DS4 rode the Dinosaur ride with my DH and it was a little too intense for him. He then took a walk to look at all of the neat dinosaur statues while DD9 and I rode.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02380.jpg
Then we decided to try the Triceratops Spin. DS4 would not get one for anything so I walked around with him while the other three rode.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02383.jpg
After that we looked at a schedule and the last safari was at 7PM so we decided to see if we could hike across the entire park in 20 minutes. We made it! Lots of the animals were up and active in the cooler evening weather.

Then DD9 and DH wanted to ride Everest. I love this ride, but I had developed another headache. I had been getting them really bad for the last three weeks and got a shot for one the Wednesday before we left. I have been to the doctor again since we came back, got another shot and new medication to take right when they start. They can’t seem to figure out what is causing them and I have never had them before.
So, I took the two little ones into the gift shop to look around. DS4 was being a little fussy. A cast member inside the photo pick-up area asked if he liked to play ball and I said, “Yes”. DS4 loves to play ball. So another cast member came over. The three of them tossed this ball shaped Yeti back and forth. When a customer would come to the picture window, he would just play catch with the other cast member. It fell on the floor a few times and I expressed concern about it getting dirty and they told me not to worry about it. They explained it was just one that they played with. Finally, DH and DD9 returned from their ride. The two cast members looked at each other and one said, “Should we?” and the other one said, “Yes.” Before I knew what was happening they cut the tag off of the Yeti and gave the ball to my son. They told him it was so he could play Yeti ball at home with mom. They told us to enjoy our trip. I wanted to cry. They took time out of their day to make my son feel special. They did not know his background or situation, but they created a magical moment for him that he will always remember. He loves that ball and now sleeps with it in his bed. And just think if my head didn’t hurt, I would have missed this magical moment!
We went back to the resort, picked up some dinner at the Food Court and ate in the room. Did you know that a huge brownie sundae counts as a dessert on the dining plan with your meal? It was so good! Another day finished and we are off to bed!

Aww!! We were also at AK on 9/16 and the CM's in the EE shop also played "Yeti Ball" with my 3 year old DD. She loved it while waiting for us to take turns riding Everest. One of the CM's was one who was working the photo room near the exit of the ride. She was super nice. At one point, she threw the ball at my DH but tossed it too high and it ended up hitting and knocking over some decorations on the top of a clothing rack. LOL

At one point, she threw the ball at my DH but tossed it too high and it ended up hitting and knocking over some decorations on the top of a clothing rack. LOL
Wow! I bet DS has the ball that your DD was playing with! That is really neat! It is so nice of the cast members to help entertain the kids while the other parent rides the ride with siblings. The parent that stays with the kid not riding tends to run out of entertainment options by the end of the day! :wizard:

It sounds like you guys had such a good time. I'm really enjoying reading along with you as you do your report...though it is making me impatient, lol...

How funny! :goodvibes The CM's in that shop were very friendly and playful. It was so hot out and not too many shady spots outside of Everest so I parked DD's stroller next to the rope near the ride exit so that we could be in the A/C and wait for older DD and DH.
She was bored in the stroller so was more than happy to get out and play with the CM's. She didn't want to quit and they were more than happy to keep playing. Reminded me of my days as a CM at the World of Disney where we would go out of our way to make "Magical Moments" happen! :goodvibes

Today I woke up with a slight stomach ache. I think I must have eaten something a little off the day before. I got up and took a shower and everyone was still asleep so I decided to go and get some PowerAde in my refillable mug and take a walk around Pop.
I wanted to see where the bridge to nowhere went. I took some pictures.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02401.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02402.jpg
It was hard to see the Classic Years Hall through the trees. There was also one complete building to the right of it. It is sad that after 9/11 this project was abandoned and left to fall in disrepair.
Then I met a nice woman also waiting on her family to wake up and we began to chat while watching a turtle.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02404.jpg
Then a gentleman and his small son joined our conversation. He was a travel agent. He explained that just last week Disney had a meeting with their travel agency about Pop Century. The buildings on the other side of the bridge would be refurbished and opened as family suites and a separate Hall to house dining, the front desk and a gift shop for the suites. It would be the 1900’s thorough the 1940’s. It is projected to be done within the next five years. That should be interesting to observe. He explained that during December there are no suites to be found on property since they are all at capacity and these new suites should help with that problem.
Then I walked around and took more pictures of the property including year signs that interested me and the computer pool.

I found a better view of the unfinished hall:

Then I returned to my room and the cleaning brigade. They pulled up on their expanded golf cart and parked three of their cleaning carts right outside my room at about 7:30 every morning. Then they had their meetings right outside my door. It would wake me up, but the rest of the family slept through this.

Day 6: Relaxation – cont….
Finally, everyone was showered, fed and ready to go. We had missed rope drop so I decided that it would be fun to go to Downtown Disney for the morning. We started by having our pictures taken by the Christmas display.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02414.jpg
Then we wandered through several of the stores. I took lots of pictures of all of the neat character fixtures, but I will not bore you with those. Here we are outside Once Upon a Toy:
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02418.jpg
Then I liked the pirate displays inside the World of Disney Store. Here is one side:
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02424.jpg
Next we went to check out the T-Rex Café. We have one in Kansas City, which is near Tyler’s doctors in KC. Whenever we have to make the 6 hour round trip to see his doctors in KC we treat him to T-Rex as a reward after seeing the doctors. The one in KC has a large two story lava wall that erupts pictorially every half hour as the meteor shower comes through. It also has more separated rooms and two floors so you can eat upstairs or downstairs. This one was ok, but we prefer the original in KC.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02439.jpg
We walked down to Planet Hollywood to get our free AAA gift and it was a key chain. My DD9 was hoping it was a pin. That was a long walk in the hot sun for a keychain.
Then we walked back past the Lego Store again.

We chose to have lunch at the Rainforest Café since they closed the one in KC and we no longer have one anywhere near us. DS4 was not scared of the gorillas or the rain storm this time and DD1 slept through most of lunch.

We took a bus to the Contemporary from DTD. Then we took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. When we arrived my DH and DD decided that they were tired and it was about 2:30. So they went back to the room. I took the little two to see what we could explore. First we checked on the AAA story time. We missed our reservations the day before since my DH did not want to leave Epcot to go and hear a “five minute story”. I was told that someone should be at the podium at about 3 pm and was told to check back then. As we were going in to check on the story time, a whole handful of characters were heading towards their meet and greet locations. They waved to my two little ones as they walked by.
As we exited DS4 and DD1 saw Mary Poppins. We walked over to see her. She told them that she was so glad that they took the time to come and see her after waving to her inside a few minutes before.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02449.jpg
Next, we headed toward Toon Town. The castle show was going on and the two little ones wanted to watch it, so we did.

Then we headed to Toon Town. DS4 wanted to see the fairies again. Today, MJ was working again and she recognized DS4 and asked if he was still enjoying his trip. We waited in the hallway to meet the fairies.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02456.jpg
Then we got to go in and meet Tinkerbell and Irridessa. Tinkerbell remembered DS4 and DD1 and was so happy that they came back to see her again!

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02459.jpg
MJ was in the hallway as we were leaving the fairies and asked if we would like to see the princesses and both kids said, “Yes!” so we followed her and waited while she checked to see if they were ready. We did not have to go back up front again.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02460.jpg
Cinderella remembered DD1 from the night of the party and asked her why she was no longer wearing her princess dress.

Then they wanted to walk through Minnie and Mickey’s houses again. So we did. Then we met Mickey and Minnie together.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02468.jpg
By this point it was almost 3:30 and I needed to go and check on story time. We boarded the train with another family in a wheelchair. The engineer asked them what station they were disembarking on and they said, “Tomorrowland”. The engineer told them their stop options and they chose to get back off of the train and walk the short path to Tomorrowland. We had to wait a few minutes for the train to leave since the parade had to cross the tracks. As we were waiting for the train to go MJ walked by and waved!
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02469.jpg
Finally we made it to the train depot at the front of the park.

We maneuvered our way to the AAA booth at the back of the camera store next to Tony's. We asked the AAA representative which show was the least busy so we could be fit in as the earlier host told us to do. He said, “6:30”, but that was when our dinner reservations were. So I thanked him. He then told me that they had a 4 o’clock show and we could see it, but he explained I had asked which show was the least busy. He took our vouchers and let us in 30 minutes early. The kids had a blast running around the small theater and taking pictures in the cut-outs. I remember in 1986 seeing a film about Walt Disney and I could swear it was in this same theater, but my memory may be failing me.

Then the AAA host came out and told us that this was a unique story time experience only for AAA customers. He explained that the book that would be read from was made uniquely for AAA. Do you hear an AAA commercial yet? Then he told us that our surprise character would be out in just a minute. Two years ago is was the Fairy Godmother. Our surprise was awesome…. It was Snow White!

We left the story time and I decided to check my cell phone that I had placed on vibrate during the story time. The battery that was alive 20 minutes ago was dead! We decided to get some free ice water from the bakery. While in there we also decided that the beignets looked tasty so we used a snack credit on one to go with our water. Then it was time to head to the busses for dinner.

We leave the park and headed for the busses. We are stopped right before the lines for the various busses start. A cast member tells us that a bomb has been discovered on one of the busses and we need to go back into the park for at least two more hours. The busses are being searched one by one. I am almost in tears by this point as it is hot and my two little ones have melted. We have dinner reservations, my phone is dead and I am by myself with the two little ones. I find a supervisor and explain my story to her. She tells me to wait a minute and she will be back with me. She goes and tells the cast member to stop telling people about the bomb and to just tell them that there is a delay. Then I can hear her radioing to see if they can send one of the hotel vans over, but they are all in use. Finally, after about 15 minutes a bus pulls up and they put everyone for about 3-4 hotels all on that bus just to get them going. She told me to wait one more minute and a bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge would pull up. By this point I was exhausted. I get on the bus and start talking to these two women. They both have grown children on the bus with special needs. They help me out with DS4, DD1 and the double stroller. One of them also lent me her phone so I could call DH. DH said that he almost didn’t answer his phone since he didn’t recognize the number, but he answered. I told him that I would have just left him a voice mail. He had finally gotten a bus to Animal Kingdom, but he still had to get another bus to AKL, but he only had DD9 with him.
Finally we made it to Boma! It was chaotic. No one was on time for their reservations since everything was out of whack due to the bus situation. We were seated pretty close to our reservation time. Dinner was amazing! This restaurant is one of my favorites!

After dinner we debated about which bus to take to a park to transfer to a bus to our resort. We chose the Epcot bus. There were only two families on the bus. The bus driver asked where we were going when we got to Epcot and he told us to stay on the bus. He was heading over to the Pop stop to pick up the Pop Century guests next so we rode the same bus from Animal Kingdom Lodge to our resort, Pop Century.
When we returned to Pop it was almost time for Illuminations. I asked at the desk where to watch the fireworks from and the cast member gave me a map. We were able to watch both Illuminations and Wishes from the fourth floor of the building by the bowling pin pool. DS4 loved watching the fireworks without all of the scary noises. On the way back to the room we took some more photos of the room. We also went swimming one night, but I can’t remember now which night it was.

We were at MK the day of the bomb scare as well. My DH had heard them make some type of announcement that afternoon about bus delays but I was in a restroom and never heard it.
That night after MK closed, it was the worst mob scene at the busses that I have ever seen!! The whole bus area was just wall to wall people. There weren't just long lines...there was just no empty space to make a line.
There was no way I was fighting that to make it down to the Pop stop but DH and older DD wanted to wait for a bus. I took youngest DD, stroller and all, and walked over to the Contemp, hopped on and off monorails until we got to Epcot, and then took a bus to Pop from there. We still made it back to our room at least 30+ minutes before DH and DD did. Actually, we had time to change clothes in our 70's room and go swimming in the bowling pin pool (Hippy Dippy was closed that night). LOL

I am so grateful now that we chose to go to Epcot to change busses instead of the Magic Kingdom. We made it back from dinner with ease. I do remember the pool being closed that night. I guess we went swimming a different night. Are you in my pictures of the bowling pin pool and its swimming guests? I did not realize that we stayed at the same resort at the same time! We were also in the 70's building. We were in 6124. Where were you? :wizard:

First of all...HUGE hugs to you! What a crazy time! Two little ones. Tired. Ready to get out of there and someone tells you there is a bomb on a bus? :scared1:
Were you scared?
I can't believe the CM said that!
And how funny that the super went to tell the cast member..."Uh...stop telling people there is a bomb on the bus!"
:rotfl:
What was the first CM thinking? It is a wonder there was not any panic.
Glad you got to Boma! I LOVE my Boma meals! :)
I have more to comment on...I just had to say something about THAT! :)

I was not scared by the bomb idea. I guess I knew that Disney would handle it. At that point it was incredibly hot and I was tired with the two little ones. I was worried I couldn't get a hold of DH and I felt lost and confused. I didn't know what to do or who to turn to. I just felt like melting in a pile an crying. I cannot tell you how comforting it was to have those two women on the bus who understood exactly what I was going through. It was fate that they were on the same bus with me with their extraordinary kids. They helped me out so much! :littleangel:
Boma is one of my very favorite meals! We eat there almost every trip, but we will be skipping it in November since DS4 chose mostly character meals for his meals. princess:

All of the kids were so excited for this breakfast. I had printed special Chef Mickey’s autograph pages for the characters to sign. There was a single woman having breakfast at a table near our so we would take her pictures with the characters. She also took one of all of us together. I meant to add the Chef Mickey’s photos to our Photopass, but I forgot. I will let the pictures tell the story of breakfast. Here you go:

Then DS4 and DD1 ham it up while twirling their napkins during the celebration time:

We leave breakfast and take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. We decided to head to Frontierland and the best way to get there would be the train. While we were waiting on the train we found the old penny machines. In the late 1980’s these used to be on Main Street. There was a whole section that is now a store that had these in them. I remember playing with them and thinking it was one of the best parts of the trip from then. I wondered where they went. Some of them are in the train station.

DD1 was too small to ride Splash Mountain so we went with DD9 and played on the Splash Mountain playground. The girls had a lot of fun.

Next, DD9 and I rode. This is my second favorite ride after the Haunted Mansion. I took pictures of everything I could take pictures of while protecting my camera from the wet parts of the ride.

DD9 and I were in the back row. When we got off this ride we were drenched. We did not get wet on either drop. It was after going around the little loop, we had to wait on another log to go up. While waiting another log came down and a huge wave came over the back of our log and we were sopping wet!

Now that you have relived the entire ride, I will share why I took so many pictures of it. DS4 is very scared by the unknown. Since we are going back in November on his Wish trip, if I show him the ride step by step several times then he won’t be afraid to try it again.
We left Splash Mountain and we were heading to Big Thunder Railroad when a mom stopped up to tell us DS4’s leg was bleeding. I am not sure why he does this, but he likes to scratch his legs when he is upset. It started when we took his braces off after wearing them all night and his legs itched, but now he just does it when he is upset. I could not get the bleeding to stop. While DD9 and DH rode Big Thunder Railroad, I took the two little ones to first aid. There I was reprimanded by the nurse that DD1’s cheeks were flushed and she needed more water. She also told me that I needed to be changing her diapers every two hours. I know that she was trying to be helpful, but I could have figured this out. I wanted to ask if I should also change my son’s diapers that often since he is still in diapers, but I bit my tongue. She also yelled at me for touching the pen since I might have blood on my hands. I assured her all of the blood was on the paper towels and none was on my hands. I am sure she disinfected the pen after I left.
After this fun experience we went next door and got some more free ice water and then went and rode Buzz Lightyear again! By this point everyone was back together again. Then we went to see the Monster’s Laugh Club. It was so cute and funny!

Guess who was our character handler? It was George. He of course remembered DS4 and asked him if he was staying close today. My DH looked confused and I explained that George was there at the party when we lost DS4. George told us he was going to the party tonight as a guest and he was looking forward to it. He also let me know that the other night the line had been closed and he held it open until DS4 returned just so he could meet the dwarves. That was some amazing magic!
We went to see the fairies and today it was Fawn (orange), Tinkerbell and Silvermist (blue).

Next we went to the handicapped entrance to ride the carousel. The one problem here is that the handicapped entrance is also the exit. The cast members start loading the carousel before everyone is out from the last group. It was a minor oversight and we were on the same ride right away!

After the ride we walked over to the Tinkerbell’s Treasures Store. I may have the wrong name for the store. I wanted to see if the kids could peer in the hole where Tinkerbell is that I had read about. I knew that we were too late to wake up Tink, but I thought it would be fun for them to see. The cast member asked to hold on a minute. Then a few minutes later DD1 was handed a bell. She rang it and DS4 rang it and Tinkerbell appeared on the screen. It was mid-afternoon and these two wonderful cast members took time to let my kids wake up Tinkerbell again. Would you believe I forgot to take a photo?

We were trying to decide what to do next when we encountered Belle’s storytime that was about five minutes from starting. We decided to sit and wait. While we were waiting we met a nice couple that we moved over to share our bench with. Her husband had stood up to give a mom holding a small child a place to sit and the next thing they knew they lost the entire bench to a large family. We made sure they had room to sit by us. They were trying to be nice. The story was cute.

The Tomorrowland Speedway was calling again. DH decided to let DS4 drive and he would push the pedal. DD9 had to go by herself since DD1 was sleeping. I walked around with her and tried to do some pin trading, but I did not find any exciting pins. I came back just in time to take some photos by the fence through the trees.

Then he tickled her toes to try to wake her up.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02659.jpg
Then he just observed her when she would not wake up.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02660.jpg
It was too cute to watch. He went in before DS4 and DD9 came out of the ride. I told DS4 to guess who was sitting in his seat while he was on the ride and then I showed him the picture of :stitch:.
By this point it was close to closing time since it was another MNSSHP night. We left and took the monorail over to Epcot for its Extra Magic Hours.

Next we had to hurry to Italy to start our Kim Possible Mission. I was a little disappointed in the way this worked. It might have been because I was tired, hungry and had been on my feet a long time. We got our mission in Innoventions and were sent to Italy and I thought our mission would be in Italy. NO! In Italy we got our Kimunicator and our mission was in Japan! It was cute to follow the clues and watch all of the stuff become interactive. I just wish I had read a little more about it and how long of a walk it would be. We may try it again earlier in the day.

We decided to have dinner in Morocco. I love the CS meals here. We only ordered two meals and shared and there was tons of food. While we were eating a giant cockroach fell out of nowhere on to the lady’s pink shirt at the table next to ours. For the rest of the meal I felt as if there were things crawling on me.
The kids had their Passports that I made with the help of this wonderful board! We went around and had them stamped. In Italy no one was present to stamp them. We found a store manager and he helped us search for the stamp. It was just our family and one other. By the time the stamp was found the store had a huge line of families waiting to get their books stamped! Oops!
At some point we made it to France and had wonderful pastries for dessert. I selected three to share with the two little ones and DD9 picked hers. Then DH went in to select his own. The stroller would not fit in the line. We enjoyed this little treat!
As we were finishing up Illuminations started. DH really wanted to see this, but DS4 was so scared he was covering his ears with napkins.

She also tried to convince DS4 that this would be fun. She held his other hand during the ride. I think he had a tight grip on both of us. He screamed, but he also loved it. He says that he will ride it again while signing scary in sign language. It was too cute!
We are in the bottom right front row.

DD9 and I rode the Rockin’ Rollercoaster next. It seems that DS4 tried on wigs while we were on the ride. Then DD9 rode again with my husband. I found a wonderful smoothie stand right outside the ride that sold orange pineapple smoothies for one snack credit. It was so good. I shared with the two little ones while they made records. There was a cute little table sponsored by Hanes where kids could use stickers to create their own records. They love peeling and sticking stickers. It was great entertainment.

By this point everyone was a little hungry. We stopped at the Backlot Express for lunch. The kids did not eat a lot and it could have been due to the heat. I had a hamburger and it was not that good. My DH took DD9 and they went in one line and I took the other two in another line. The cashier thought that they were so cute she gave them each an extra cookie at no charge. They of course ate the cookies first.

After lunch it was time for the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy. We stood over to the far side to try to keep the kids in the shade. The Jedi Master came out and picked the kids on either side of DS4, but he was not picked. He was so sad. There were 4 cast members next to where we were standing and they told us to come back to the next show and he should get picked. They told us that the show right before the parade was the smallest show. Then rather than watching the Jedi Academy everyone watched DD1 and the Storm Trooper. She started blowing kisses and waving frantically at the Storm Trooper. At one point he was laughing so hard at her antics that he had to walk from his post to the middle of the stage to recompose himself. I wish I had video of is. Everyone around us was laughing. It was so cute. Then Darth Vader walked over and she blew him a kiss so he blew her one back! Then the Storm Trooper while trying to maintain composure pointed his gun at her to scare her and she just started blowing even more kisses. He completely lost it. I am sure he was glad when this show was over. Then the cast member closest to us turned to DS4 and told him that just in case he did not get picked for the next show she would present him with his Jedi Training certificate and she handed him a rolled up certificate tied with a ribbon. It was so nice!

We walked around a little after this and killed some time before the parade. Then we found the handicapped area to watch the parade. We were accosted upon entering this section. We had to show the stroller tag and his GAC card. A few minutes later about 20 people filed into the same area and not one of the them was in a wheelchair and no one said a thing. They were blocking the two little ones view. I flagged down a supervisor and explained what we had to go through to stand there and asked why these people could stand here. She told me to wait a minute and she would get back to me. She returned and said that since no one else was in a wheelchair and the parade was about to start that they could stay! I was so mad, but as I learned throughout the week some parks are more wheelchair friendly than others. The kids enjoyed the show. A trampoline and its crew parked right in front of us. You had to be further down the route to see more of the show. This parade is more of a street show and you need to stand in front of the float that you want to view the most. At the end the entire show passes in front of you, but all of the interactive parts are at a single stop along the parade route.

Now we were going to ride Toy Story Mania again, but then we would miss the next Jedi Training so we walked back to the Jedi Training area. We stood to the side again. The Jedi Master came out and picked three kids on both sides of DS4. The cast members kept encouraging DS4 to wave his arms and jump up and down and he did. Then he looked right at DS4 and said, “You are too small” and walked off. DS4 started to cry. There was a girl on stage much smaller than him and he would have done what was required of him.
To cheer him up we took him back to Toy Story Mania. DS4 loved that ride! We also took a detour through the Streets of New York.

I liked all of the details in the fake shop windows so I took pictures. There were now strings of Christmas lights on several of the buildings that were not there a few days before.
Then we went to see American Idol. I really enjoyed the show. If anyone attended on the 19th of September, I would love to know if this girl won. She was amazing! They also put DD1 and DS4 on the big screen at different times during the show. DD1 was dancing, clapping and smiling throughout the show!

During our wait in line a dad said the most thoughtful and caring thing that we heard the whole trip. I was not using our GAC since the lines weren’t long. We had used it to see someone that was leaving, but then we put it back away. He told me to pull out that card and use it. He said that he did not mind waiting in line with his healthy son since he had that option. He said that he would rather wait in line with his healthy son than have a sick son and a front of the line card. He said that he was blessed that his son was healthy. It was so sweet. He was the first person that did not glare at us for going to the front of the line. He was so compassionate and his comments just really made my day.

After meeting so many friends, it was time for dinner. We left Disney Studios and headed for the boat to Epcot. We just missed the boat! It was not a long wait before the new boat arrived. It was a pleasant ride to Epcot. We chatted with another mom that had the same double stroller as we did.
We still had England and Canada to get stamps in the kids’ passports, but we did not have time to stop in England. We never did get that stamp. DH took the kids to the Canada stamping place while I checked in. They were running about 20 minutes behind at Le Cellier, but they required that you stayed in the area. We found a bench and played Canadian trivia while we waited for a table.
We were seated. I ordered a chocolate raspberry shake. It was amazing! Then I ordered what I thought I had tried before, but I did not like it. I really wanted the creamy mashed potatoes and the small tender steak. I did not want to say anything since I was the one that ordered the wrong meal and it was in no way the restaurant’s fault. The server apologized after my husband brought it to his attention despite my protests. He took away the meal and brought me out a plate of the mashed potatoes. They were awesome! Then the chocolate dessert was so good. He brought out our check and it turns out he took off my whole meal. We did not want him to do this! Now we had an extra table service meal and we were leaving the next day.

We skipped Illuminations since we had seen it already this trip and headed for the busses. We took a peaceful bus ride back to Pop.
DD9 and I took one more picture on the way back to the room.

We again called it a night one last time. It was so sad to be leaving the next day. I spent the next hour packing. I had started packing earlier in the week, but there are so many tiny and miscellaneous pieces that just don’t seem to have a home. The kids fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillows!

I love the pictures bigger! I hate that you changed it for me!? I just used my Ctrl + key and made them bigger!
Who is that character with Goofy? I have never seen him before?? I know...I am lacking in some Disney character knowledge!
I hate DS did not get to do Jedi Training Academy! Hopefully you guys get to do it on your wish trip! :thumbsup2 ?? You didn't right?
How sweet of that man to say that about your GAC. So true. You know...we would trade the GAC with ANYONE at ANY TIME to have a healthy child that doesn't qualify for one! Geez.

I doubt that we will get to do it in November. DS is small for his age and the Jedi Master looked right at him and told him he was too small. He was in tears. All of the cast members around us thought he would get picked. I had even talked to one cast member over by the parade who said he would try to pull some strings for us, but it did not work.

I would also trade DS's GAC card for a healthy child, but I am used to him the way he is and he is oblivious to many of his problems and is just a happy go lucky little guy. He can make you smile any time of the day!

When we got up the next morning I packed the rest of the liquids after our showers. I had a hand held fish scale that went up to 50 lbs. It is the same as the luggage scales that you can buy, but the cheapest luggage scale is $15 and my fish scale was $5 at Wal-Mart. It registered at about 48 ½ lbs. When my DH took it to the Resort Airline Check-in, it was 49.85 lbs. The checker told my husband that it was the closest he had ever seen anyone get to 50 lbs. I had had my DH take an extra bag just in case we needed to take something out and put it in our carry-on bags. My DH then told him that his wife used a fish scale to weigh it and he confirmed that they are very accurate. It was worth the $5 to not have to pay over weight fees and we were only checking one bag. I wish that one bag per person was still free to check!
DD 1 was still a little groggy after her shower.
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02909.jpg
We took our carry-on bags to the checked luggage section and dropped them off. It took less than five minutes. We had about 30 minutes until the Magic Kingdom opened so we thought we would try to make it for rope drop instead of having breakfast at the resort. We were about five minutes late!
We stopped by the bakery to get some pastries and drinks. I discovered my new favorite quick service meal. You can get a hot egg, cheese and ham croissant sandwich and it comes with a side, which is any pastry in the case and a drink, which includes the over $4 smoothies! I wish I had taken a picture. We also used several snack credits on other pastries and some Soy Milk. We had plenty of food for everyone!
After we finished our breakfast it was time to ride Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin one more time.

We walked around the area and finally my husband insisted that I find him, which was unusual since he normally thinks pin trading takes too long. I asked the cast member at the bottom what happened to the one I was looking for and surprise: He said, “He told me to tell you he is right over there!” We found him. He still had both pins so we could trade. He was just unexpectedly moved!

Then we rode the cars in the Speedway one more time. This time I rode with DS4. They told us the car to get in and my son screamed and pointed to the blue one that was two cars back. From this point the morning got interesting. I went to the POTC with the sleeping baby. DH took the other two to ride the magic carpets. First, the cast member told him the wrong line for the GAC and they ended up waiting in the main line. Then when it was there turn they were the 16th carpet, but two girls decided to split up and there was no carpet for them to ride in. Rather than putting the two girls back in the same carpet, the cast member told DH he would have to wait long. Well my DS4 was completely bent out of shape by this point. He walked off fuming mad. He found where I was visiting with a cast member that had a Magic Moments game set up. She let DS4 play the game and he received a special certificate. Another cast member overheard my DH complaining and went and found a supervisor. While DH was explaining the situation to the cast member I saw Captain Hook. I took the kids to meet him. He was not happy with our Autograph books and drew “x”s over Tic Toc’s picture. I was explaining to DS4 what he was doing and he shook his hand at me and told me in hand gestures to zip my lips. You cannot say Tic Toc’s name around Captain Hook. It was too cute!

We walked back over to where DH was. I saw that the cast member he was talking to had a cute Stitch pin on his lanyard. DS4 collects Stitch pins. I asked DS4 if he wanted to trade for it and he said. “Yes”. The manager just gave us the pin and asked if DS4 also had the other Stitch on his lanyard, which we did not. He claimed that he was just trying to clear the Stitch’s off of his lanyard. DD9 was also given a pin by the other cast member that went to get the manager.
The baby was still sleeping so she and I again stayed at POTC while the others went with the manager to ride the Magic Carpets. I guess they rode twice in a row. Then he gave them all bottled water. When they met back with me, the manager took us through a back fence and told the two little older ones not to look at what they were going to see in the backstage area. He took us in a back door that led us right on to the boats at the POTC. It was so neat! He was the one that also told us more of the Johnny Depp stories from his recent visits.

She had forgotten that she was also helping the night of MNSSHP when we lost DS4 while in line to see the dwarves. Can you imagine remembering a guest’s name nine days after you first met them? We rode pirates and then it was time to head to the front of the park for one last purchase prior to heading to the resort for one last lunch. I was side tracked by the Dole Pineapple Whips. I had to get one more before we left! While I was standing in line I observed Rafiki with only one family in line. I signed to my husband, “monkey” and get left the bench they were sitting on to meet Rafiki. DH might have complained about taking sign language class at first, but not only does it help us communicate with DS4, but I can also sign across the park without having to yell!

I had one more stop. I love long sleeve t-shirts with Disney characters on them. Most of mine are old and are starting to become threadbare. I looked and looked for a new one, but they did not exist. I finally found one in the fire department store on Main Street. It is grey with a fire fighter Mickey head in the center and the letters MKFD in blue centered across the front. Then the engine company number is down one arm. I love it! That was the only store that carried it! :firefight
We went back to Pop for lunch. I had the best lunch. I ordered some sort of Greek chicken pizza with feta cheese, olives and pesto sauce that was so good!
While we were eating lunch we determined that we still had 6 snack credits left! How does this happen? I went and picked up several Mickey Mouse rice crispy treats and a few packages of snack mix including dried pineapple and roasted almonds.
Then I had one last small purchase to make in the gift shop while my DH got our bags out of luggage storage.
It was time to ride the ME to the airport.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb1/kdzarchan/DSC02971.jpg
It only took 30 minutes to arrive at the airport. We had 2 ½ hours to kill. We walked around through the shops.

DH caught the end of his team’s football game. It took less than 5 minutes to get through security with three kids, eight pieces of carry-ons and one double stroller. We took the train thing to our gate. Then we waited for our flight. On that day Air Tran had every flight leaving from about 4:30 PM until ours left at 6ish delayed, except for ours. We kept waiting to hear of a delay, but we took off on time. There were a lot of people from the three earlier flights that had still not left trying to fly stand-by on our full flight. We had no problems switching planes in Atlanta and arrived back home at about 10:30 PM.
THE END!
I did receive my Photopass. Thank you so much Maroo! :thanks: I will upload some pictures from it either tomorrow or the next day to this trip report. Thank you for reading along!

Woo Hoo!!
I am SOOOOO impressed that the manager actually gave you guys water, let you ride twice AND took you backstage for POTC! I wonder if that is the same place we went for the W/C line?? Probably not?
It sounds like you guys had a GREAT and Magical trip with lots of extras that many of our families experience on wish trips - and I am so glad since your family can't stay at GKTW...it makes me happy that you guys are still going to be able to say you got FOTL privleges and such.
Make sure you take that GAC with you when you go back to the parks. Since it was not stamped from GKTW - they may stamp it that way again? Never know.
And since it will be your "real" wish trip - it certainly makes sense that they may extend the FOTL pass? Who knows. It will be interesting to see. popcorn::
ROSA...seems like an AWESOME Cast Member. What Disney is all about, really. She really gets it!
I assume you added her name to your letter to Disney about the issues you guys had and the good experiences, too! :thumbsup2
Awesome TR!
Now give us some PHOTOPASS! :rotfl: But take your time. ;)

Woo Hoo!!
I am SOOOOO impressed that the manager actually gave you guys water, let you ride twice AND took you backstage for POTC! I wonder if that is the same place we went for the W/C line?? Probably not? No, we had taken the wheelchair line before. This time we went behind a wooden fence that was for cast members only. Then we went up a couple of stairs and in a back door. We were literally stepping on to a boat when we came through the door. It was really neat! With DS4's stroller tag we entered every ride through the wheelchair ride, which meant he could not run away. However, this did not work the night I lost him while in line to see the Dwarfs! Ooops!
Never know. I never even thought of bringing the old card, but I will now! Thanks for the tip. I did leave the stroller as a wheel chair tag on the stroller so we can use it to take the bus to the first park to get the new GAC card!
And since it will be your "real" wish trip - it certainly makes sense that they may extend the FOTL pass? Who knows. It will be interesting to see. popcorn:: The regular GAC without the green stamp will get you to the front of the line if it is also stamped with the wheelchair tag, which it will be!
ROSA...seems like an AWESOME Cast Member. What Disney is all about, really. She really gets it!
I assume you added her name to your letter to Disney about the issues you guys had and the good experiences, too! :thumbsup2 I sent a separate email to Disney about MJ, George and Rosa!

HI! so sorry I haven't come over sooner! I read the story about Tyler real quick on your PTR and God Bless you guys! I have a nephew with missing chromosomes, speech delays, and also many muscular issues as well! Although my sister is not proactive like you and I really could not tell you exact info :( But like your son, my nephew is full of life and joy! I am urging her to move by me so she can get better care for him at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia! When I get more free time I plan to read your TR!
Thank you for sharing your story!

I purchased a package of 24 lb. paper for both. The passports print front and back and the instructions are simple. They only take 3 pages of card stock each. Then I put 4 autograph pages on a single 8 1/2 x 11 page. Then I used a paper cutter to cut them and a hole punch to put two holes at the top of each page and hooked them together with silver circular clips that opened and closed easily. I added the pages for the parks we would be at that day and then took out the finished pages at night and put in the ones for the next day. The characters had a ball with them. I have them saved so you can just print them if you want me to email them to you. There may be some characters that you want to delete or some you want to add, but it would give you a start! Let me know if I can answer any other questions! :wizard:

Hi, I know I am well past the end of your trip report but I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed your report. My gosh you got to do a lot on your trip. I loved some of the pictures of your children. They looked so happy in some of them. I was also happy to see that you switched to large sized pictured during the report.
It seems that you had both good and bad experiences with some of the CMs but I loved hearing stories of the good ones such as with the Yeti ball.
I am shocked that Johnny Depp actually appears during MNSSHP. I had never heard that before. The CMs that dress up do such a great job I am not sure I would be able to tell the difference. Your entire MNSSHP night was amazing. You got to experience so much more than we did when we went this year.
Thank you for sharing your trip
