I posted this question on the Theme Parks Board, but didn't really get a clear answer. For those of you who have been to the Osborne Lights...does it only snow right at the beginning for a few minutes or does it snow on & off for the whole evening? :confused3 The response that I got was that it snows with the music. Doesn't the music play in a loop until closing? Hmmm...I just want to make sure that we experience the snow, as well as, the beautiful lights.

Thanks for joining in on my excitement!!! Ha!!! Yes, it was a relief to open that mail box and see those WDW envelopes!!! Crazy isn't it? As far as Osborne Lights, I haven't done them yet either....I can't really find the answer either...I guess we will just wait and see........I hope to be there at the beginning of it, so I am sure we should see some snow!
Well, I had to go grocery shopping last night...got a few more things for Turkey day!! Also, got some cute little bags and craft gift bags for my goodies! Thank goodness I am making some progress with my lists!!:yay::yay: Well...today is

How Exciting!!!!!! I am gonna spend some time today going over park days and our ADRs to make sure they are exactly like I want them....I am still wanting to get into Le Cellier!!! Also, that night that we might go to the Christmas Party, I had ressies for Tonys, but I am gonna change that around...ds13 wants to eat there, but that just isn't a good time that day. The only big decision we have left is about the Christmas Party....in about a week or 2 we can check the weather!!!!!! I know it changes a lot day by day, but we can get a good idea of what's what....if it looks like the nights are gonna be nasty that week we wont plan on going...but the kids are reaaaaaalllllly wanting to go, so we'll just have to keep talking about it! I think my dh is more in a crunch than I am!! He has a few houses that are nearing completion..he'll either have to push to finish and have a closing date before we leave, or they will all close as soon as we get home. I know one of the families were thinking they wanted to be in by Christmas, but their house has LOOOOTS of details!!! Her dh already told her not to even THINK about trying to get in for Christmas.... I think he doesnt want to push it with the tree and all that extra decorating!!!! Ha!!!!!! But..it's amazing how much can be done in 3 weeks!!! Alrighty...off to the schoolroom!:teacher: OH!! Just gotta brag!!! DS13 had an Algebra test yesterday....100!!!!! He did excellent...right down to the positive and negatives in his answers! He really likes Algebra and has caught on so well!!! Ds10 is learning about fractions, ratios, and mixed #s....he loooooves it!!! He is doing great too!! That is such a relief!!! I am so thankful that they like math....you gotta do it, so it's best that they enjoy it and I am not fighting them to get it done. They are so sweet!!!! DD is learning place value.....now...you wanna talk about something weird to explain!!!!!!! In real life you don't think in the terms place value...you just know it! ha!!!! She is doing really well with it too...she also likes her math...I just dont remember learning stuff like that in the 1st grade!!:scared1:

Got to cross off a few of my things on my list today. Tomorrow I can cross off a few more!! I love Veteran's Day! First - thanks to all the military families for their sacrifices. Second - both DH and I are government workers (yeah, lousy pay, great benefits) so we get the day off. But our kids have school. SO we are heading out shopping - Mall of America, Target...I have a few Christmas gifts planned (They have an American Girl store) and must go to Target (I'm down to my last two rolls of TP!!). We'll have lunch somewhere yummy too. MOA has tons of places to eat.
I'm struggling with what kind of cookies to make this year. I want to make some in the next two weeks to freeze. Maybe snickerdoodles, do those peanut butter/kiss cookies freeze well??

Since we're having 12 of us at WDW, I'm making up little cards (index or wallet size probably) with our park of the day and ADRs for everyone (or most everyone) so they all know where to be when. Might be able to get that done tomorrow too.

Shawna - thanks for doing this PTR - I really feel like it's mine too!! I should do my own, but I'm sort of lazy and not very technologically savvy. Maybe I'll figure out how to do it all and do a TR later! I better take good notes on this trip! I think I should get a new travel journal!
We definitely have to plan a meet!! As it gets closer (Ha - like tomorrow) we should review our plans and see what we can arrange!
Anyway - you are one of my blessings!! I really enjoy coming on the boards every day (usually) and visiting with you and all my DIS buddies! :hug:

I like the idea of giving all your family cards with daily plans on there...maybe it'll help keep the confusion down. I am sure they are grateful you are doing all this!!!! I am about to start packing a few things....well maybe not packing ,but putting stuff in a corner somewhere!!! Quarters for laundry to start!! And my pop-up hamper and tiny travel ALL detergents!!!! Mike put the tree up for me tonight,..I was gonna start decorating it, but my back got tired!!!! Ha!!! so...it'll be there staring at me tomorrow-begging to be finished!!!! Maybe I can get most of it done in the morning before my little chickens get up.

Well hey!!!!! I know...it is creeping up on me....I will take lots of pics!!!! I got my tree decorated tonight....it took me all day. I started feeling that sinus-y feeling again and even missed church tonight....I just felt (Hate to say terrible) bad...my head and throat hurt...but the kids helped with their ornaments, so it was fun! They did inform me not to put the presents under the tree until right before Christmas day because it would drive them crazy!!!!And here I was all set to start wrapping this weekend!!!! Guess I will wait and do it after Thanksgiving.
I have to take ds13 to get new shoes tomorrow or Friday...he JUST realized they are too tight. Great. Hopefully they will be broken in a bit before vacation. I didn't get to go over my park days today..or ADRs....probably do that tomorrow....still hoping for Le Cellier!!!!! Refresh my memory--how many of you have eaten at Wolf Gang Puck Express? I think that is what we are gonna do on arrival day...but just wanted to make sure that some of you have been there and your kids liked it too.!!

Well - here I am - reporting in! I have been making progress on my lists today! Thank God for veterans (and their wonderful holiday)! DH and I went shopping today. Got the girls each 2 AG accessories sets for Christmas, a couple other things and gifts for the Fish Extender Exchange on the cruise. I finished making the homemade part yesterday. Then we went to Target - got my Bon Jovi CD and bonus DVD of the Showtime special that I didn't see b/c I don't have Showtime. YAY!! Also got more antihistamine because I officially have a cold. :( It's not too terrible but the dang sinus headache is rough. I love Sudafed, it is my friend!

Anyway - more progess - I typed/printed the letters to the school informing them of our vacation and telling them how educational it will be (whatever!). Last year DD8's teacher liked it, so I used the same letter with a few modifications. Ironically, she has the same teacher, so it'll be funny if she realizes it's the same! I'm going to volunteer in her class on Friday morning. Think I might try to get a massage in the afternoon. Hate to spend $$ on myself, but since I managed not to buy myself any clothes or shoes despite a big sale at Nordstrom, maybe it will be okay. My neck and shoulders carry all my stress and are SO SORE!! Probably worse from alll this :surfweb:! Last summer I got a massage and the guy said, do you spend a lot of time on the computer or driving? Uh, yeah, that's pretty much my whole life!

Got my haircut this a.m. so I'm all set. Have to still cover a few grays (sshh) but will do that closer to the trip.
Don't have too much to buy for the trip. Have to check the toiletries - I'm trying not to bring too much - hopefully use what is in the room. I guess BLT has nice H2O stuff and so does the cruise.
Shawna - that's awesome that you got your tree up. Mine will go up weekend after this coming. Saturday I have friends coming over in the evening and DH works all day Sunday. And I'm having a Partylite candle party next Wednesday. So it will go up after that. Then it's decorate, Thanksgiving and PACKING!! I can't wait to check the weather for our dates!

If I recall my plans (HA!) the rest of the family is arriving early afternoon on Sunday. We don't know for sure what we're doing on Sunday prior to MVMCP. We are planning an early day at DHS on Monday, but we're always up early. I doubt we'll stay until midnight at the party - but hopefully 11.
We're planning to go back to Epcot for dinner on Monday, so we'll wait to see the OL until Tuesday or Wednesday.
What time is your Cindy's dinner (Sunday right?) Our CP dinner is at 4:40.

Outside the cabins on the Disney cruise ships there is a fish that says your cabin # and has a slot to put mail in. The DIS people hang a "thing" with pockets from it (extending down - get it?) and we exchange gifts. On the cruise line page on the DIS, there are threads for Meets for each cruise. So I went on there, found my cruise and started making friends. :) One person is organizing it and we set a deadline of 10/31 to sign up to be in on the exchange. So we all get a list of people and cabin numbers and we'll put gifts in their fish extenders. I'm too lazy to make one like you might see on the threads, so I am using a Christmas stocking (which I have yet to buy!). I think I'll just get a plain one and decorate it Mickey-style. Yup, that's on my list of things to do too!!

But I did go to the store today and I have what I need to do most of my baking so I'm going to bake cookies on Sunday to put in the freezer.

Disney Cruise Line called me today to make sure I knew about my free upgrade! It was really exciting, even though I already knew about it! I'm so excited about this trip - Part of me wishes it would come sooner, but I'm not ready!

My kids' principal called me and left a message saying she received the letter I sent in about the vacation and we are getting the days (5) excused! Not that I really cared - we'd go anyway, but it's nice to have them say not to worry about it. Sarah's teacher, says to me today (I was volunteering) "so what's this about my ticket getting lost?" :laughing: Paige's teacher opened the envelope and said, "Is this going to make me jealous?" They are so cool!! We lucked out with really nice understanding teachers.

I know, I know...technically it's tomorrow..but I don't know if I will get on here and once we drop off Annie it starts our vacation...especially since I will be up half the night! Ha~!! I forgot Sheree was driving down..so her vacation will start on the Thursday before....so she is >3 weeks out now!!!!! Got my pictures on my camera all developed today..had a few left, and one that the photopass people took for us...I got that as an 8x10. We get one every year. I am tempted to use this as our picture for the Christmas card...I never have one with me & dh on it...just the kids. But...then I am tempted to get them all a coordinating shirt and take a new picture. Of course, ds13 told me today that he didn't want to do it at ALL...just do regular cards. I don't know... I guess I will let dh help decide on that one!!!! So..that and my grocery organizing, and wrapping gifts will take my whole weekend.....After that, I will be soooooo much more relaxed for the trip. I got the rest of ds13s birthday stuff..card included, and my moms bday card...so I can mark alllll that off my list!!!!!! What fun!!!!!! I think I have a list-checking-off disorder. Anybody know what that would be:confused3 I am sure I would rank waaaay up there on a quiz for that one!! Ha!!!
I just want to say how happy I am to have all ya'll reading and hanging out with me (us...me &Sheree!! heehee!!!!).....it's like getting a break everyday and just visiting with my best friends!!! I def have more people on here I get along with than I ever did in school.....crazy,huh?!!! could it be because we alllll suffer the same insanities!!!!:wizard: Okay...well, me and ds13 have to finish algebra...and I have a Bible story to read to dd so she can do her coloring sheet.....I am ready to be finished with :teacher: this week!!! They did an awesome job of getting caught up... I am very proud of them. Proud of me too for making them stick to it...there were a few days I was really thinking..'I am toooooo tired'! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back chatting with you! It's been a crazy week. I own a preschool and have 23 4 year olds in my class this year. We have been baking gingerbread all week. We make gingerbread houses from scratch for all of our children to decorate at our Christmas party. I also volunteered to do Ornament Day at my son's school the Monday before Thanksgiving and I have been putting together 125 ornaments for the entire first grade at his school. The ornaments came from Oriental Trading and they came with about a zillion pieces. So some of this has to be put together ahead of time. We only have 20 minutes to read a book and make an ornament and then each class rotates to another room to make another ornament. (What was I thinking?) I remember my mama's wise words: "If you want something to get done, give it to a busy person because they know how to organize and get it all done." Boy I'm tired! My DS's birthday is December 6th and he will be 7! We are going to spend the day at Mk and do MVMCP that night! I will try to post a picture of our family! Sounds like you have had a busy week as well. Glad you are feeling better. We received our Mickey mail last week. So exciting! 19 days and counting.......:yay:

I am in the process of getting ready for a nap:yay: I say in the process...becuase I had to get on here first!! We have rain and a cold front coming in tonight and tomorrow,so I am feeling the sleepies coming on. Just wanted to pop in and say hey to everybody!! We had an awesome service today...I don't know if any of you are familiar with Dave Roever...a Vietnam Vet who was badly disfigured during the war....well, he goes around to different churches and military bases/hospitals telling his personal story and minsitering to our wounded/injured soldiers. Anyway, he was at our church today and it was wonderful!!! He came today to celebrate Veterans day with us....so I just want to express again how thankful we are to all of you who are in the military or have family there. You are a blessing to all of us and we can never thank you enough:sad2: Some of you make such tremendous sacrifices that the rest of us will never know of....we are honored you do this for us and our children!!! I got to cross something off my to do list today - I made litle cards with all of our ADRs listed. I put the date, the park for the day and the ADR and confirm #. Glued it to an index card, trimmed and laminated them. I made separate ones for everyone (except my kids). Ours have one extra on it and one family is doing LeCellier, so they got different ones. It turned out to be three different versions, 10 cards total. My DH says, the type is kind of small. :upsidedow Jeez! The point is to be able to carry it in a pocket, how big can I make it!

Oh well. I have to call and change the number of people on one of my ressies (dropping the 4 that are going to LC).
Shawna - are you doing photopass? I got a card in my Mickey Mail - I think I'm going to pre-order.
Then I have to order a scooter for my MIL/SIL to share. Yes, I am The Organizer. I hope it all goes well, because if it does, they will all have me to thank (except for the weather, I probably won't get credit for that). But if it stinks, they will all blame me for poor planning. Which is why I did not plan every minute. I specifically told them all - do what you want, here's the times of our ADRs and here's what I'm doing each day. One of my SIL's said, it looks jam packed. So that's why she's getting a scooter. I want her to have a chance to keep up with me! :laughing:

Hello Ladies!!!! JoBird!!!!:goodvibes :welcome: ...for those of you who don't know her, I 'met' her on Shellys PTR...she's loads of fun and always has something happy to say!!! Love her!!!
Sheree~ I never really do the photopass...just a few here and there...I usually like the ones we take better...weird, but there it is!!! Ha!! I like the idea of your little pocket cards..and yes, the type would have to be rather small....
I got my upstairs cleaned yesterday...I usually just have the kids help me..it's pretty small and the bathroom up there is what my older son uses,,..with the condition HE cleans it. Which I might add he does a very good job of...;) Love a mankin that cleans a bathroom!!! Hoping to hang my garland and bows today on my upstairs banisters...then I won't have anything to do up here until after Christmas!!! I might vaccuum up here again right before vacation...but that's it!!!!:yay: also I kinda organized my Rubbermaids in the attic and worked a little bit in our school room...so upstairs is a go!!!!
My cleaning ladies came today and dusted!!! Love 'em!!! Dusting gives me a sinus infection...so....that's done..wont see them again until Tuesday before we leave for WDW:yay::yay:
For today...gotta get some extra white lights for 2 new small trees in our front yard...a toy for my nephew for Christmas....new rug for the front door that's Christmas/wintery.......feed my hungry munchkins...and finish my mountain of :laundy: which of course is never ending..but I have let it creep up on me the last few days!:eek: Amazing how quickly that actually happens!!!
Our new youth pastor and his wife (expecting their 1st little baby) came for dinner last night. It was wonderful...I knew that ds13 was really connecting with him....he is awesome with the kids! She is too...it was fun finding out about them and how they got together... I love a love story!:love:They couldn't stay as long as we all wanted...they had their 1st birthing class last night!!!! How exciting!!!!!
Also...Kim from Canada will appreciate this.... I finished my Before Anne of Green Gables book last night!!! I know you all might not be aware of my love for all things "Anne".. but Kim got to go to PEI this summer!!! I lived vicariously through her!!! I actually bought this book a while back...and for some reason it got moved to a shelf where I have books I already read...well...lo and behold I found it a couple of days ago and have been totally enthralled!!!! What an awesome story....lots of :lmao: and a few:sad1: I just love that whole time period and all about Anne. So, I finished the last few pages at breakfast this morning.....now I have to go back and read alllll the Anne of GG books again!!!! Ha!!!!
Well, we are off to run errands and eat some lunch...my kids are telling me that they are STARVING....oh, if they only knew! I hope they never really find out what that's like....but I sure do hate the extremeness of being a little later than usual with our daily lunches!!!!!! Have a wonderful Tuesday!! Well now lets' see--- I just got finished eating left over Halloween candy.

My children got 17 pounds -- yes I said pounds, I weighed it--- trick or treating and I think they're down to 2 pounds left.:)
Between all of us we are going to be the size of Montana by the time it's all gone.
Anyway- my point is that I was just eating a Snickers bar and I think I ate a rotten peanut. And so there goes the "Found a Peanut, found a peanut, found a pea-nut just now" song over and over again in my brain.

I hope I don't die.
Or get the oopsie's.
Or feel generally yucky.

How funny JoBird that we have 2 kids in the same month and one the same age!!! I loved that Peanut song as a kid!! I don't know anyone else that knows it:lmao: I had a record with allllll kinds of weird little songs like that...Iguess you could say that as a kid I was a different kind of bird....I had one aunt that always told me how 'different' I was...and I don't think she was being nice about it either!! She said(for one thing) I was the only kid at the bday parties who wanted Vanilla Ice Cream instead of chocolate, and the only one who didnt want it ON the cake..no blending please! I still don't like the ice cream on my cake....Just let me enjoy the cake...if I want Ice Cream..I will add it --to the side!!!!
Okie dokie...well...it did get pretty chilly here last night...at 7:45 this morning it was about 46!! not the bone-chilling cold ya'll Northerners get...but we love it!! I am sure those of us not acclimated are feeling a bit :cold: as we get out and about early this morning.There was actually some steam/mist rising off my pool this morning.Very cool to see.
Thing # 129 to mark off my list!!!!! I bought my Christmas cards last night! They are sooo cute... I haven't bought any since the year my dd was born... we have been doing the picture ones...boys abhor that......and since I don't have the time for all that this year, I just bought cards. Can I say how very cute they are!!!!!:yay: Little snowmen..which I LOVE!!! 3 of them actually...so one for each of my little chickens......and one of my favorite sentiments/Bible verse inside. Perfect colors & font....doesn't take much to make me reaaaaaly happy,does it? Well.....on my to-do for today....:laundy::laundy:...the Happy Housewifes life-long chore.....:teacher:with the munchkins (we only have5-6 days left:yay::yay:)
whom I might add are doing soooo well.....I was talking about dds reading the other day-well I think she realized she wanted to do it more than just stumble through & she is doing really well:cheer2::cheer2:
Today I have GOT to go over Park Days and ADRs...have been meaning to do this for a week...but it's gotta get accomplished today.As you know, I had made my list for my Christmas goodies/gift bags last week...well.... I guess I will be going for more...Our list is growing! I always try to get everyone on it the first time...then the closer we get to Christmas, the more people I remember that we said throughout the year we want to do for.
I did make a decision last night: today is a go no-where, stay-in-pjs-till-church-time-kind of day:cheer2::cheer2:Do you know how liberating it is to decide that the day before? I think a purchase I made yesterday has something to do with that......we went to Target....(Poor Mike:rolleyes:) had to get some lights, dnephews gift,ds10 new pjs, MOM new pjs...and I found the best ones!!! I have a Nick & Nora pair from last year that are the reg pjs with a button up top, pockets and a collar that I LOVE. BUT---they are flannel and I am soooo hot-natured that I can't really wear them to bed...I do wear them around in the evening, but then I just get too hot. Anyhoo--found a diff N&N kind yesterday--top is more like cotton or whatever, long- sleeved, and the bottoms are like loose-fitting thermal. TOOO cute... I had to get 2 pair!!!!I got 1 that the top is light blue and the bottoms are blue with a rubber ducky wearing a red/black hat with flaps on his ears...I think he's ice fishing & the pair I have on --the top is lime green and the bottoms are SANTA :santa: He has a bag of toys and they have little fireplaces/chimneys:yay::yay: SO appropriate this time of year!! So.... I decided we could do school in pjs and just relax today---its cold out and warm in. I think we should watch the Grinch or something when we finish school. And of course, we have to drink some cocoa today...

DS10 got hot chocolate this morning for breakfast, my DD8 got hot tea- she has the same cold as me--- well, she actually gave it to me. I know I taught her to share but ... really?????:rotfl:

Okie dokie...let's! Yes...baking!! Every year, I make a big 'ole batch of Peanut Butter Fudge..it's awesome!!! Then tons of cookies...the kids help me--then we put it in Christmas tins and deliver it to allllll our friends and people in our little world who have helped us, blessed us, or we want to bless. This year, since we backed our vacation up to Dec (instead of jan), I am skipping all the cookie baking and doing Chex Party Mixes instead. Still doing the fudge--one pan goes a loooonnnng way. I was going to do tins again, but found these cute little plastic bags (with ties) at Wal-Mart decorated for winter/Christmas--they were a dollar a pack--then the little gift bags have reindeer or a snowman--toooo cute...75 cents!! I think they are the recycled bags..I love that brown color and the pictures really are sweet. So...we will do that and then stick a name tag on it and I take the kids around & they take turns jumping out to deliver!!! It's quite fun!!! Of course, we gotta have those Christmas cds blaring as we bake & deliver!!!!
I am sorry you have that crummy cold. We just got over that... I tell you what.. I know hot tea & stuff really help...but I am a Mucinex girl!! It just helps get you going faster---& my NP informed me when I went a couple of weeks back, that you can take it for quite a while, it really doesn't have side effects!!!!! AAHhhhh what a relief--since I have to take it like clock-work twice a year!!!!
I have been to Ak a few times!! My parents live in Tyler...so they looooove to go up there for vacation.
Back to baking... I sooo love to bake! I like it better than cooking....I know people usually like one or the other! I just looove it!! My little girl loves it too---she is so cute with her little apron! Ha!! I will have to take a picture of her when we do our baking and post it! It's so sweet!

Hello everybody :wave: Hows it going?
Well... I am laying here watching the rain....Ya'll know by now how much I loooove the rain!! It's gonna rain allll day and most of tomorrow.....thank goodness we put those Lights up outside....see how smart I am! I told dh this would happen--it does EVERY year..... So...we are going to my moms this weekend so Mike can preach at my moms church. I reeeeeaaaaaalllly tried to get them to give us a weekend earlier...but to no avail...the other guy they had scheduled couldn't change his weekend, so this weekend it is. Her Pastor is on a cruise...2 weeks!!! I feel a tad jealous!!!!! he is an AWESOME man of God and we just love him to death. This is a much needed rest for him and his wife. So,...we hate to not see them this trip, but glad they are having fun!
I am bringing my mamma my extra wrapping paper so she doesn't have to buy any, and all my nephews presents. His mom won't bring him down for Christmas with us, so I want him to have it by Christmas Eve:santa:
Well...got all the kids bought and wrapped, one of dhs bought and wrapped, Christmas cards are bought and list is ready....stuff for goodie bags and baking stuff-check, and the list to go with that of course......so, Monday morning I should be able to go get the Turkey!!!! I will work on whatever food I can do early on Tues and Wed. Mon we will finish any school work that needs completing and then Th it's up & at 'em with Mr. Turkey and my sweet potatoe casserole!!!!!! never mind...all that is sounding very exhausting....anybody want to skip it and do Sonic?:rotfl: Not really...I like doing it!!!!:love: Well....I don't know if I will be able to check in at all before Sun night....I don't like dragging my laptop...dh will, but between him and ds13...I will NOT get a chance to use it! Hello everybody!!! Well, we are home and I am in bed checking all my emails! We had a great time this weekend...it is nice to get away..I just am soooo weird about having to have all my ducks in a row before I go....so, I had tons to do this time before we left. BUT...we got there Fri about 2,and we have got to have time with my mom, my nephew and SIL, and some friends and rest a bit...so it was good. Church was great today...Have to brag on my preacher man!:hug: He did an awesome job...
He helped me get the rest of the lights up before we left, so as soon as we got home we turned them back on for the evening...beautiful!! maybe I can take a good pic and post it...of course,I have to do it at dark, and i might forget by then!! Ha!!!!!
Well, I am trying to pace myself this week...with my cooking/baking for Th. I am definitely gettin the Turkey tomorrow....try to get ANYTHING I need for the week....I don't want to fight the mob. I was gonna skip the chkn & dumplin' this time ....but my mom said she couldn't wait to taste 'em Thurs when she gets here......so guess what....I'll be making c&d on Wed:laughing: I suuuuure hope she wants to make the dressing!! But, I don't think she will have time...she has to work until Wed afternoon and then it's a 3 hour drive here.....
Well.....I am gonna start checking the 15 day forecast now!!!!! I am actually at 13 days today....so, I should have plenty of info by the time we get ready to pack next week. Thanks Kim!! Weather....:scared1:Pretty crummy at this point....Sat-Cloudy and 71...Sun...Rainy and 69...Mon Rainy and 67. Hopefully it'll cheer up by then and be happy and sunny and perfect......That is terrible because those first two days are our Rope Drop days!!!!

Two weeks from this past Sat. we will be there!!!!Headed to DTD!!!
Two weeks from Yesterday we are doing RD at MK and dinner at Cindy's!!
Two weeks from today we are RDing at HS and hopefully hitting Toy StoryMM at least twice...at this time we will be watching the Osborne lights!!!!!!! Weather report has changed since last night...now showing partial sunshine for the Sat we arrive..and just 'cloudy' on that Sun and Mon...temps from 69-70...still kinda chilly with that cloudiness...but no rain!! I think I will not check it again until this weekend....too much emotional upheaval.....I don't think it's quite as accurate this far out as it will be next week!! I will be thinking about it all week if I check it now and I have toooo much to do!!! Well, my oldest son is at a friends house, and the little two are having a friend over today to play...gotta do the never ending:laundy: & grocery shop.We really need a smiley for that!! Ha!!! the popcorn smiley isn't my idea of a grocery trip.....I am glad we have this great variety of little people to add though! They can just convey soooooo much more than what I want to say!!

I've been checking the weather too - it's too much of a roller coaster from day to day! When I'm packing I'll check again (on the weekend!).

I actually like the popcorn idea of grocery shopping - it's one of my favorite snacks!! Sometimes I wish that was all I had to buy at the grocery store!

We're getting the dog bathed/groomed tonight so he looks all handsome before he goes to Grandma and Papa's house! One more thing I can check off my list!

I have been so busy today working on Tday, I forgot that we have 2 more suppers between now and then!! I have new neighbors moving in across the street and we usually bake cookies or something ....thinking maybe just a batch of brownies..and dd can help--she loves mixing that!!!! Sheree!!!! I am back here!!!!!! Well....I had family in for Tday and Friday was my moms birthday...so I didn't get ANY computer time!!!! I will not start packing clothes until probably Thursday morning or Wed afternoon....it's just too hard for us because we will need so much of our stuff here & there. Toiletries, food stuff... I will do before...have you seen the weather? YIKES...we have weather all over the board!! And some rainy weather...hopefully it'll change!!! One day was 80...the next day said 60 and rain!!!!!!! I need consistence people!!!! How are we gonna know what to wear!!!!!!??? Okay...got that off my chest. I am gonna do my chex mix with the kids tomorrow...and my fudge. Get that all ready to deliver-also, address & mail my Christmas cards tomorrow.After that it's just gonna be focusing on getting things ready here and trying to pre-pack what we can!! Game boys and Nintendos will be charging....backpacks & suitcases gotten out and aired out......Oh....the list goes on!!! But we are excited...we all have hair cuts/trims to get ....we are gonna just be some busy little bees!!!! I can't believe it...6 more days!!!:cool1:

Well, I am working on my cards right now..want to mail them out this morning...I am about to print out the Chex Mix recipes that we want to do...gonna start that today!! I don't know if I have enough stuff for all that we need...so I will run to the store and get whatever else I need---want that finished today also. Our weather is yucky today and worse tomorrow...so I would really like to be out of the weather tomorrow for sure!

:yay: You're back! I knew you were busy. We got a lot of packing done - we sure don't need our swimsuits and shorts up here! Tonight all the electronics will get charged too. We're leaving Thursday night, so we don't have quite as much time left. I got most of my Christmas cookie baking done - I'll do fudge and biscotti after we get back. Did some more decorating around the house.
I think our weather will be okay. DH gets up every morning and checks both accuweather and weather.com. Today the rain for Monday was gone. I guess it will keep changing! It is going to start getting cold here on Thursday - highs only around 30!! Good time to leave! HA!
It is such a shame that I have to work these 4 days! ;) I can barely sleep - I'm like that kid in the commercial -
"I'm too excited to sleep!" Plus we have "stuff" every night - Brownies tonight at the senior center, gymnastics tomorrow, a birthday dinner with my girlfriends Wednesday. Plus I have a dr. appt this afternoon. (smashogram). I'll be running around on my lunch hour to Target to get a couple more things.

Did you see the HGTV special last night? It was so cool - all about how they get all the holiday decorating done. My friend emailed me a picture of MK Mainstreet yesterday. He's there now and it looks just beautiful!

OH Sheree~~!!!! Poor you!! I will be praying for your appt to go smoothly and painlessly!!! YUCK! All my evenings are busy too!!! I don't have plans for this evening...thank the Lord!! I need one night of rest!!! Tomorrow night is my youth pastor and his wifes baby shower..Wed night church..Th night we have our annual Christmas parade--dd is suppose to walk/ride with her ballet class, but if it's as cold as we are predicted I am not gonna let her do it. Dont want her coming down with the sniffles right before we leave--it's not just cold but gonna be kinda damp also. Then Friday is my oldest's bday...14!!!! So...I gotta get hopping!!! Yep, I made muddy buddies!! And the cheesy-Ranch Chex. I just did a bag of each and some candy canes.....skipped on the fudge---I was worn out after taking the kids shopping for long-sleeved shirts! It was cold and I realized my boys have outgrown most of the winter shirts they had. Yesterday was the coldest day we've had...so I had to take them to get some. I am now sitting upstairs in the play room with the kids folding :laundy: and waiting for more:laundy: to dry so I can add another load!! Also,my cleaning ladies are here to dust for me!!:yay: My house will be clean when I leave..Hallelujah!!!
Got my goodie bags in the car to deliver.....mailing the last few cards today that I needed addresses for.....library drop-off.....lots of little things to do between loads of :laundy: to do for trip!!!
So...tomorrow I will start packing I think...our weather is changing drastically--we are gonna have lows in the 30s and highs in the 50s after Wed night, so we won't be needing shorts/short sleeves. At least I can start with that!!!Friday is my son's day, so I don't want to be working ALL day on this...I know we'll do some, but I want him to have a fun day!

We leave tomorrow after work to drive to my parents house in Jacksonville. Then it's up with the sun on Thursday and we are heading to Epcot. I'm bummed about the forecast so far for Friday. We will be at AK in the morning and at Epcot for the Candelight Processional in the PM, and it's showing 70% chance of storms as of now. :sad2:

Is the CP show covered? If not, what do you do? :confused3 I swear, everytime we go to Disney it rains. For once, I would love to not lug around ponchos, etc...I've got my fingers crossed for a drastic prediction change. It seems to change on the hour.

The CP is covered,but it you are on the back rows you will get wet...it's open...only the top is covered..I think! Ha! Thats what I remember...but I may be wrong... I know the top is covered tho.
Well....busy bee today! Getting my car outta shop this a.m.--had some recalls and my remote start was draining my battery every night and then in the mornings it didn't want to crank!!!:scared1: So...all is fixed (supposedly)..gotta get tires rotated and oil changed today!!!! :laundy: is still going strong...down to the last few loads then we can start packing! Got my suitcases out yesterday and let them air out on the back porch until we went to bed...so they are lined up in the foyer!!! Check list for toiletries/snacks today!!!!! Definitely a Wal-Mart trip in my immediate future!! Dh has his MRI on his knee today--facing surgery in January...tore his cartiledge...
Good news for me. I have lost 10 #s!!!!:yay::cheer2: I don't know if you remember in the summer when I was staying so exhausted and all that I mentioned needing to lose at least 10...14 if I really got busy...anyway...when my kids & I got sick I lost a few...well, I have just lost a little bit by bit....I think some of it was fluid retention...that happens to me in the summer...not sure why, then in the fall I lose a little...I have only lost 10 pounds one other time. And then i was walking/jogging 3 miles a day. I am so excited!My jeans fit sooo much better..and my wedding rings are actually loose again..and with it being cold, I gotta be careful they don't fly off when i air dry my hands. My engagement ring has always been loose, but not the band...til now. So..that's my uplifting /encouraging news for the day!!!

Great news on the 10 lbs!! I wish I could say the same. I didn't really try too hard though, so I have nothing and no one to blame but me. I thought it would be nice to be down a few before we left, but oh well, the clothes still fit!

Last night I was WIDE awake from 3:20 to about 5, then Paige came in at 5:30! She says, Mommy, only one more day and then we leave!! Plus she has a field trip to a play tomorrow at school, so she's doubly excited for tomorrow. So basically I've been awake since 3:20. Need more caffeine! I swear, I'm like the little kid in the ad. Okay floridascgirl and Sheree~~~ Just checked Accuweather...keep in mind most meteorologists say after the third day out...it's just an educated guess!! But.. I like Accuweather...they are the closest....anyway: Friday lots of rain and storms..Sat rainy and breezy..clearing up in the afternoon..high in the upper 60s. Sun-70 and sunshine..Mon, Tues, 70s and sunny. Wed cooler (66) and chance of slight rain...Th..70s and sunny (I think it's up to like 76 here)..Fri,sat, and Sunday upper 70s and sunshine with some clouds.
Sounds great to me!!!!! Of course, Sat I wanted to surpise my family with doing the hot air balloon...but if it rains we can't. But, I would rather it rain then than the rest of our triip! WOW!! So much to do!! Well....not toooo terribly much:cutie: Me and dd are about to leave for a trim...then drop her at Ballet....working on the packing list(editing what I already have)...lunch...:laundy:...boys to guitar for an hour....tires rotated....squeeze Wal-mart in there somewhere for anything we forgot and some groceries! Then I will check the kids suitcases...I am gonna have them start getting out socks/underwear/bathing suits/shorts&tees/...then I will make sure it meets my approval!!!;)Then we will load up the backpacks!!!! I am MAKING dh pack tonight!! He just takes waaaaayyyyy toooooo long....he adds way too many clothes also...but I guess I ain't gonna change him on that....it's one habit I just can NOT break:sad2: I want to focus on ds13s bday tomorrow...not packing.Hopefully we can get to bed at a decent hour tomorrow night...if we are asleep by 10 i will be impressed!!!! Sat it's up at 5 for me....gotta take a shower and pack that blow dryer!! Ha!! Okay...kids clothes are packed...most toiletries(except last minute ones I have to use Sat morning)......and snax...done!!!! had to go over to Target tonight because wal mart is out of tiny detergent!!!!!So...I think I got it all!!!! I will pack my suitcase in the morning...I am just tooo tired to do it tonight!!! It won't take me long...I know what I am bringing...dh....now that's a different story!!! DS14 says thanks for the birthday wishes!! We took him to lunch at a place that has the hibachi grill...it was fun!! He got Itunes card..books, and the Owl City cd (which I love!).. and a coupon from us to go pick out a camera!! So, I took him to Best Buy and got his new Canon!! AND we came out to snow!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! It's still snowing..we should get 3 inches tonight:scared1: We are sooooo not used to this!!!!! But, it's not sticking...just melting on hitting the ground...hope our flight isn't delayed too bad tomorrow. Houston is suppose to get it tonight and tomorrow!!!!

I know the Lord has this planned at this certain time...she has to make her own decisions and not rely on me and Mike to guide her...she's gotta ask/lean on Him...perfect timing, right?;) God knows what he is doing!!!! Thanks everyone!! Yep,,.we got home late last night! DS14 had a good bday..first year he hasn't done something with friends/party. He is at that weird stage..not feeling like he fits in, but not like he is left totally out! CRAZY!!! Anyway, he got a new camera and some cool books, Itunes and the Owl City cd(which is really neat...you should check out Fireflys!)...he was just happy to be 14!!! My mom is still unsure of what she's gonna do....I appreciate the prayers...she knows WHAT she needs to do.. but it's gonna be hard for her to do it. Which of course is hard for me,...when I know something needs to be done, I just do it-I'ld rather get it over with than have it hanging over my head! Anyhoo~~~
Our trip was very good--of course, we weren't ready to come home. This time we got up and at 'em earlier than we usually do and had most evenings and one day of just relaxing...made for a better time. Also, we didn't get a stroller...DD kept up very well...and we really didn't have to drag coats..if we had them we were wearing them!! so,,, the need for a stroller wasn't there.
One complaint--and I will talk more about it in the Trip Report...I will not go back during PopWarner week. I know I said we were there during it before and it was doable...this time was different....the cheer girls, and the pee wee boys were in the parks every day. Not so before..or not that you would notice. Some of the girls were okay...but most were REALLY loud. And several(I hate to say all, but definitely the majority) of the boys were rude. They cut in lines(or were trying to and got caught) running through the parks where people were walking (not like a kid running to catch a parent...running like in groups)..which of course meant they were running into people and just being unruly. Several of the groups were yelling..at one point I thought I heard some nasty talk and thought, surely not,...but it was! This was one of the few groups I saw with an adult leader and he turned around and shouted to the herd "that's enough!!" Shut them up for a while! I was just surprised how many groups had NO adult supervision. Totally irresponsible on the leaders' part. I am seriously thinking of finding out who to talk to with Disney Management and asking them to stop letting them in the parks without adults. I really think they should be assigned one park per day...this could at least let us avoid them better.....it was all very unneccessary. When they werent around it was fine..it was busy in the afternoons..but not crazy.
So... I got errands/chores today, but later or even tomorrow I will start my Trip Report..got a few changes to our original plans!!! Wait and see!!! OH!...I saw Sheree (MNDISNEYGIRL) and her family several times! We had a good time together! They are so sweet!! She left on Th morning for the cruise...haven't talked to her since.She is suppose to do a TR, so we'll see what she says!! It's good to be home!! I missed ya'll and thought about ya'll while I was there!

Headliners, like Rnr, TSMM, BRMTRR..longest was usually posted at 30 minutes..most of the time it was shorter than what they posted. Some times the waits were only posted at 5 or 10 minutes..nothing was terrible...we only FPed a few things..didn't really need to do more. The crowds varied...mornings were usually slow, filling up in the afternoons. I did use TGM and it was pretty good most days...yesterday at MK was suppose to be slow...NOT hardly! One of the busiest times I saw all week!! I enjoyed the Christmas decor...but I wouldn't pick that time again...especially with the Pop thing. I really liked Jan.... we have done Oct before and I liked it, but it's just as humid as it is at home, so we try to avoid that. Nov was good....May was pretty warm!! I think if I could miss Easter, and Spring break, March/April will be a good time also....but it just seems that it's busy all the time now!! Ha! No way to avoid the crowds at some point!!!
DH said before we left home that this would be our last Disney trip for a while..he wants to go other place for the next couple of years....could I change his mind this week? I don't know!!!! Maybe!!!

Welcome Home Shawna!!! Hope the trip was wonderful besides the Pop crowds. Last Jan we had the Brazilian tour groups that were obnoxious and loud and some girl dance teams arriving the weekend we were leaving. It definitely changed the crowds. We mainly saw the dance teams at the Food Court at CBR but most were very respectful. The Brazilian Tours on the other hand, not so much but at least they were speaking a different language so if foul words were spoken my kids didn't understand it. You really would think that Disney would have a few more rules and regulations for groups like those. I guess the $$$ is worth it.

The pop group is usually this time every year...the second week of Dec...after like the 4th or 5th..that next week....I will not do this again...maybe after Tday into the beginning of Dec, but not this week!!! I have tooons to do today...a million pieces of laundry, groceries...church stuff...so maybe I can get these one trillion pictures downloaded tomorrow...I am thinking TR next week!!! Ha!! We had our desktop go down right before Christmas and DH went out on Monday and bought a new iMac! No grass can grow under his feet! Luckily, I have the laptop to use too. Our old one is toast, but we think we can recover the pictures etc. that we want. All my new stuff is on the laptop, so I can still do my TR!

Hello all! I am on my laptop....unfixed.....they hadn't even shipped it out to be looked at!!! So, we just picked it up yesterday afternoon and told them we would bring it back another time.....and since I missed alllll last week of planning this semester of school (which I usually have done before Christmas)....I will have to devote loooots of time to that! I was planning on starting the kids today...but didnt foresee these problems. So....I can at least have them start their Math tomorrow! I don't have to plan that, it's done for me.
