Hi everyone!!

It seems pretty likely that this is going to be on of those posts that take forever to get to the point, so I apologise in advance

I spent all yesterday tuning my neighbour's piano (my mother roped me into it, little did I know it hadn't been tuned in about 50 years  ). In the afternoon, their eldest son, who's about 10, came home from school, so I set him to work holding my tuning forks.

He seemed a little depressed, so I asked him what was wrong, and then he started crying, and told me the whole story of how he's being bullied at school, and all the boys in his class had been spitting in his face that day. I felt so incredibly bad for him :(

He's a really friendly, sweet kid, but he is a little strange, and he does seem to bring all the trouble onto himself.

Anyway, I'm not really sure what to do about it. I hate to see him suffer like that, but its not really any of my business to do anything about it. So if anyone could give me any advice on what I should do about this, that would be very nice :D

(I told you it would take me forever to get to the point ;) )

That's a shame that it's happening! Hmm, maybe you could talk to him about it, like ways to stop it. Or you could suggest to him telling his parents about it.

I'm not one to mettle into other people's business but if i was in your situation i would prob tell the kid's parents about whats been going on.

I agree with Rob and sprnklnormngrl. I used to work with kids his age and there are 2 things I learned
1.) They can be REALLY mean to each other (Even if they're not mean kids)
2.) NEVER EVER take candy from them, seriously pepper flavored gum, dirt flavored gum, super sour balls.... I've had it all. (But I digress!)
I think his parents will be able to do more for him than you could just make sure you mention to him that you're going to tell his parents so that he doesn't feel like you went behind his back!

Thanks everyone :D

The dad kinda scares me , so I'll try and get his mum on her own, and tell her what's going on.

Thanks Michelle, I'll remember that
