We are using the Dining Plan for the first time next month, and I have a question.

We have more table service meals planned than we have credits for. But at one of the dinners we plan on sharing meals as we will also be grazing the Food booths at Epcot that night. If we share we will have 1 ts credit left that we can use at one of the extra meals.

My question is, do we tell the waiter when they ask about the Dining Plan that we only want to use 1 credit, and are paying for the rest of the meals out of pocket? Will they then give us 2 seperate bills? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I just don't want to do anything wrong or mess us up.

I'm interested in the answers you get too. We have more TS's than credits for. I just think that most TS's will be WAY too much food, and I would love to share some meals so we can visit more restaurants.

You just tell the server when they are taking your order that we're using the Dining Plan for Joe's meal, and will be paying OOP for your meal.

Or if you are not too hungry because of the F&WF, just split the 1 credit meal. We often split meals so we can eat at one or two signature restaurants. Eating FULL meals all week in the heat just gets to become too much.

Splitting the one meal for the one credit depends on where you eat. You can never share one meal at buffets or all you can eat family style or fixed menu, fixed price restaurants. You cannot share the all you can eat skillet at Whispering Canyon for one credit. There are several reports that Beaches & Cream does not allow dining plan users to share entrees. There's been one report from a dining plan user who was not permitted to share an entree with a child at California Grill. You can always ask at any restaurant that is not buffet or all you can eat.
