Hi everyone! First trip to Disney; we have 2 adults and 1 child on the DDP and I am trying to figure out how to allot credits.
Is this a possible daily schedule (assuming we would like to use only 1 CS, 1 snack, and 1 TS per person and per day)
Breakfast at CS (something like BC Marketplace or Boardwalk):
- 1 child CS credit for breakfast sandwich (e.g., ham and cheese omelet on croissant) or platter
- 2 snack credits (for adults either bagel, pastry or yogurt parfait)
Lunch at CS
- 2 adult CS credits
- Purchase lunch for child OOP since child menu at CS lunch places are limited
Snack
- 1 snack credit
Dinner
- 3 TS credits, child orders from "children's menu"
Would this work? Can we order a combination of CS and snack credits at the same time? I don't want to run out of adult TS credits by ordering breakfast for my child.

You have a very reasonable plan.
We have two fairly hearty eaters and we try to find the CSs with the biggest child portions or ones that we can "enhance" with toppings and or extra sides.
You may also wish to order water, granola bars, etc... ahead of time so you are not using your snack credits for drinks along the way. Water adds up quickly.
Just check each receipt carefully to make sure the appropriate number of credits were removed from your card. It is best to take care of any mistakes before you even leave the restaurant. :)

Hi,
I just got back and I had the free basic dining. You are given a table service, a quick service and a snack for each person each day. You can use it any way you want. Some days we used 2 quick serves and 4 snack credits. For example, we stayed at Coronado and ate a quick serve breakfast at the pepper market in our resort. The adult quick serve breakfast came with 2 drinks. We got a coffee with breakfast then grabbed a water to go. This way we didn't use our snack credits for water. We also used a snack credit one day at the same time we had a quick serve meal. However, we ran into a lot of different policies at each restaurant. I suggest you find out about each individual one you are going to go too.
I have an 8 year old daughter and I used my quick serve every meal for her and then paid out of OOP for extra sides. I would get a look at the menus on this website of all the restaurants and they tell you which ones are quick or not and give you the menus. From there, I would try and go to restaurants that have a meal adequate for your child. Why should you put out money that you don't have to.
I hope this helps.
Have a great trip:)
