Since the original thread seems to have undergone some metamorphasis, I thought I'd post the best general summery of the Car numbers we reference around here:

Car # 1. Generally believe that today's business processes are able to produce products that people consider Magic with the same consistency as throughout Disney's past.

Car # 2. Generally believe that today's business processes aren't producing products that people consider Magic with the same consistency as throughout Disney's past, but there is a personal belief that those processes will be changed soon to regain that consistency.

Car # 3. Generally believe that today's business processes aren't producing products that people consider Magic with the same consistency as throughout Disney's past, and there is a personal belief that those processes are unlikely to soon change and regain that consistency.

Car # 4. Generally believe that today's business practices mirror non-Disney practices that never produced consistent Magic, and Six Flags is as likely to produce a product that people consider Magic as is Disney.

Thanks to Walt's Frozen Head for these definitions.

Has anyone posted a thread to find out how many of each car we've got on here? I'd be interested in seeing how most people fare on this board...I'm a 3.

Welcome DukeStreetKing!!

Currently RaiderMatt is riding shotgun!! But there's always room for one more in a virtual car!! ;)

I think this may be the start of a beautiful friendship!!

Currently car three, but only because the beast has grown so big.

Surely it would have been more magical when the company was small and the California park just opened... imagine experiencing the one and only magical experience at such a level in the whole world? Wouldn't that just add to it?

Now the experience has been emulated in Florida, Paris and Tokyo too.

To a similar tune, I'd apply this to the movies. Who can honestly say that the new, exciting brand of Disney was anywhere near on a par with the last ten years; just the familiarity with the name would reduce the hitting power for me.

Perhaps it's something to do with the human condition known as 'loving the underdog'.

neosnightmare, I'm with you. I dunno what on earth 'shotgun' is code for, nor the idea of riding one. I'm too confused... time for a cheese sarnie :)

Shotgun is a holdover term from the stagecoach days. It is the guy who sat next to the driver who held the shotgun to protect the coach.

Today it means front seat passenger, next to the driver. Also known as navaguesser. :D

Ok, RaiderMatt can ride up front. I'll take the back seat. But I still get to point the shotgun out the window!

I jumped cars this year from #3 to #2. I have been very happy with many things in the WDC. Getting rid of Strategic Planning was the best piece of news that I have heard in years. Hopefully the outcome of that decision will be what I hope it to be. :earsboy:

I'm still riding in car #3 but if you guys in #2 pull up close, I might be able to straddle both for awhile until I see what happens with the new leadership.
