Would you recommend the QSP for 10 days? I have it booked but I'm having second thoughts. I've done both the regular dining plan and the deluxe dining plan. Love both of them! However, the next trip is with my teenage daughter and she doesn't want to spend a lot of time in restaurants. However, I'm thinking we'll need a few just for relaxation. The deluxe plan is definitely too much but the regular plan may be better for a longer stay. What do you guys think?

Maybe do the QSDP and pay OOP for a few TS meals? That might be a good compromise and you won't have to worry about trying to stretch snack credits to supply breakfast every morning.

and I was given the QS dining plan free with POP resort. We upgraded to the regular dining plan for a few reasons.

First, for longer stays I just don't want CS meals all the time. Second, you can go to some 2TS credit restaurants like the CRT and you daughter will love it. You will then go OOP for the meals where 2 credits are involved, but you can do some reasonable CS OOP indstead of TS OOP. Third, it's your vacation, too. In the formative years we need to teach and train our children to be considerate especially with mom. Also, learning to do fine dining is important for your child. Fourth, it's some serious bonding time for you, both. How much are you going to miss in the parks; since, you have 10 days?

Personally I'd upgrade to the DDP for a long stay, but my question for you is where are you staying?

Some of the resort food courts for CS are better than others, so at least you'd know you'd have decent options at your resort if you took an "off" day and had the QS plan.

DTD has some good options for CS, WPE and Earl of Sandwich, but the deluxe resorts are kinda light in the CS area, which means you'd be eating more in the parks. Are you planning on parks for all 10 days?

If your daughter hasn't been before, she might not understand just how great those table service meals are, especially after a day of running around the park! I say go with the regular. It just seems right. DDP is overkill and QS would leave me tired after a few meals.

It all depends on your family dynamics. If your daughter enjoys eating out and the whole experience then the TS places would be the way to go but if she is a 'grazer' I believe the QS would be best. Two meals and two snacks is just right for me and no fuss about ADR's or having to be anywhere at a certain time.

We are going for just two weeks this time and are going to do the QS for the first time but I have always thought this was a good idea. I have made plans for a couple of TS/OP, if we feel like it. The ones we like just happen to be buffets and are less expensive than many places so it makes sense for us.

Enjoy and if you do the QS would you please consider writing a TR? There are so many on the other dining plans and it would be interesting to see what options you can come up with to find different foods. Also interesting to see how you enjoy the freedom of the plan and how it worked out for you.
