the "unconvinced DH" saga continues

Well, I think it's going to happen. My D(arling)H called our bank to get some financing and I called DVC who will be sending all that paperwork (and the backpack I've heard so much about).

Once those papers are signed I will believe that I am a member.

Thank you to all my imaginary friends on this Board. And to those of you who are real, I hope you've gotten your money's worth out of this DW.

Will post when all is said and done.

Kathy, thanks for keeping us informed through your whole ordeal! I'm so happy for you that things seem to be working out!!! I was the Disney nut in our family for the longest time - now DH is the one saying "when can we go to WDW again???". We are looking forward to our first trip home to BCV in late September.

Great news! I wish you luck and WELCOME HOME!!!

My DH was convinced before we bought as he had done all the research and I was not. Once we did the tour and I heard the pitch I was convinced and we signed that day. My DH couldn't believe I was so easily sold, but like I told him....it sells itself!

We took trips to WDW about every 18 months or so before DVC, now we go at the least twice a year! AND we have done 2 add ons since buying in Sept 2000!!

My DS went with us last November and now he is talking about buying his own.... He used to ask me why we kept adding on. LOL My answer to him was "because we can!" Now that he has seen what it's like he's sold on it too!

My only regret is the same as everyone else....that we didn't do it sooner. We could have saved so much and enjoyed more frequent vacations if we had.

Unless you are doing a home equity loan to finance, it might be easier to just finance through Disney. (and easier to qualify, too I think)
