Ma's Surprise Birthday Trip to FW Cabins!!!

Alright, for those who were with me on the PTR, here's the TR. Little background, I planned a trip for my mom, started in February of this year, we finally told her in June, I think it was. She was utterly speechless!! :hug: My DH is in the Coast Guard, and found out he wasn't going to be able to make it, so I forced my sister to come and have fun with us. :rolleyes1 So...first up, the cast....Me.

I am a CG wife, for 12 years, and love every minute of it. Here's a pic of me and my dear Hubby, who I missed on this trip dearly!

:welcome: Everyone!!!!! Glad ya'll found me! Yea, ma was surprised, and happy, then she started worrying about some of the bad reports she read on here about food and such, so I told her not to worry, it is what we make it. So, I made Tina shrimp scampi the morning before we left, and it was GOOOOOD!!!!! I didn't know I could cook so good!!! :lmao: So, we go to bed early, and I got up early on leaving day. Had to wake Tyler up early for him to finish his school work, since I didn't want to take it with us, he was dragging his feet all weekend :headache: So, he's finishing up math, while I'm putting the coolers together, and packing the ice. I did remember this time to leave one ziploc baggie full of ice in the bag, since they must empty the ice makers there. Ma gets to my house around 9:30, and as she was putting her car in the garage, her mirror hits the back end of my car!! :scared1: She didn't realize it, and it didn't do much but a small scratch, Tyler's bike has done worse LOL So, we put the suitcases in first, and then the coolers, and then the food, the back of my explorer was PACKED!!!

We leave my house, earlier then I planned, which is always good, head to the bank where I work to get $$, and then we get gas, and head out. There wasn't much traffic, for a tuesday morning, and we got to FW at about 11:30. There was NO ONE in line for check in, and I must have had a new lady, she didn't seem to know what she was doing, but I was in no rush, so patience is always the first hting I pack :rotfl: We get our cabin assignment, we're in 2310. We get there, I was worried about what Ma and TIna was gonna think, they can be critical sometime :rolleyes1 But, they look around, and LOVE the cabin. OH thank GOD!!! So, we unpack the car, get things put away pretty quickly, I unpacked my suitcases in the drawers, so we can have room, and put the empties in the the car. I wanted ma to rest before dinner and MNSSHP, so Tyler and I went to the pool! We were close to the cabin pool, so we walked there, and it was NICE, there was NO ONE in the pool, and it was 2pm!!!! We swim for about an hour, and then go back to shower and get ready for dinner. We left at about 4ish for the marina, and get on the boat to head to Ohana for dinner. Here's some pics I snapped on the boat.

So, we get to Ohana, and there's a HUGE line to check in. So we get in line, and wait our turn, get checked in, and then seated almost immediately. We order drinks, and I FINALLY got my pineapple drink!! This, is the Lapu Lapu!!

The food was really good, especially the steak!! the bread pudding was to DIE FOR!!!! We finished every last bit of it! I didn't get any pictures of the food here, we were trying to get to MNSSHP. We got out of dinner to get on the monorail...and guess what?? IT'S RAINING!!!!!!!! :eek: :headache: So...hoping it wouldn't last too long, we got to the MK, and headed in. Ma went to buy ponchos, and I didn't want mine, so I put it in the trick or treat bag. I got LOTS of pics of the halloween party, so I'll update that one tomorrow!!!

Yep, I use the dark transfer sheets, that's ALL I use, I used the light ones early on in the shirt making, and found I didn't like them, so just use the dark ones now. I'll have some more pics with his shirts, made just about all of them!! It was fun, and he enjoyed it!!

So, we get to the halloween party, and it's RAINING!!! UG!! Ma goes in to buy ponchos, but it wasn't raining THAT bad. So we go plugging along, walk right on to Pirates, then hit a few trick or treat areas. Tina said she hadn't been t&t'ing in decades!! LOL Nope, she doesn't have kids!! :lmao: So, we figured we're wet already, so hit splash mtn, walk right on!! Went around, hit some rides, and HM was awesome all lit up and stuff. I didn't have my camera out cause it was STILL Raining. Get of HM, and.....IT STOPPED!!!! :cool1: The sky was clearing, and it was NICE!!! Little humid, but NICE!!!

So, we head over towards fantasyland, hit some rides there, FINALLY remember my camera, I always forget I got it LOL And take this one as Ma and I are getting on the teacups.

We ride a few more things, and it's time to stake out our spot for the fireworks. So, we get a spot along the fence just to the right of the castle, and I run to get us drinks. It got quite crowded at this spot, and I managed to take some pics of the fireworks.

After that, we went on the Tomorrowland Speedway, and ride that real quick, that was the only big line of the night. After that, we go to stake out our spot for the second parade. Who ever said the second parade was less crowded....was FIBBING!!!! It was PACKED!! But, worth it. Got some good pics while waiting....

We left and caught the boat back to the fort after this, and Ma felt like having a drink and playing cards, so we stayed up until 2am playing cards and drinking!! It was fun!! LOL I brought a bottle of malibu rum, and dropped it while unloading the car, didn't have any issues until when we're going to pour our second drink...the top broke, and glass got in the rum...BUMMER!!! :headache: So, no more booze for me....at the cabin anyways :rolleyes1 That will come into play later!! :littleangel:

Next up...Animal Kingdom!!!! And, what time will we wake up after playing cards??????? :confused3

Thanks Leslie, and :welcome: I took like 4 other shots, and that's the best one I saw. He hung out on the bridge where we were at for a while, so I was able to see him without the camera view LOL And he is just awesome!!! I was REALLY looking forward to him!! :)

That was great fun from the looks of it. Really good pix. That is a parade I would like to see. Glad your mom was able to stay up later and enjoy herself.

I hate that about the broken bottle. DH and I have drug home more rum from the islands than I care to count. At least one or 2 always break.

Your pictures are good and it sounds like ya'll first day was fun. Did you see a lot of people wearing costumes at MNSSHP? I have one to wear, but if there isn't many people going in costume I don't know. Dallas is going as a pirate pirate: and the costume I have is a witch :maleficen. It could be a fairy if I didn't wear the hat and added some wings.

Alright, after spending the weekend with family and playing with Dana, here's the long awaited day 2 update!!

We woke up at 9:30 in the morning!! :scared1: Ma was in the bathroom, I rolled over, opened my eyes and got a shot of sunshine full on in the face!! Stupid curtain LOL So, I looked at my lovely tigger watch, and saw the time...and about freaked out. After I could see again, I got up, and got in the shower...then got my sister up. So, we get out the door and to the park by 11, and my sister was hungry. So, we went on dinosaur, and then ate at restaurantosaurus. It was good, I love those places with the fixins bars!!

After lunch, we headed over to It's tough to be a bug, and got some pictures of the tree....I love that tree!! LOL

After that, we headed over to Festival of the Lion King. I REALLY wanted ma to see this show, and it must have JUST started, but they were still letting people in. BUT, we didn't get a seat!!! :headache: Had to stand in the nosebleed section, and we couldn't see a thing!! I was MAD!!! So, after that, we decided to go on the safari ride, so we headed over there...and I got some okay pictures.

SO, quick trip to AK, I was upset about the FOLK, I kept telling ma that it was better then what we saw. So....all in all this day was crappy, but NO rain!! We had to get ready for a 6:45 ADR at WCC in the WL...so...next up, dinner at WCC!!! CAN we have a good ending to a crappy day???

I was a little scared about this ADR, had heard some bad things about this place on the dis, so I was secretly scared. Ma LOVES bbq, so we thought this was the best choice...for TS anyways!!

Our ADR was at 6:45, so we left FW on the boat, and got there a little early. WL is BEAUTIFUL!!! I had seen it, but not in so much detail before. So, we sit down and order our drinks....I forgot what Tina and ma got, but I got a drink with the glow cube in it, Tyler wanted the glow cube!! HAHAHA

We place our order, Tina and I got the skillet, and Ma and Tyler got the rib eye steak. Ma asked for her steak mooing....which she always does, and then after he puts in our orders, the waiter brings ma back this.

OMG we were rolling!! I've heard of their antics before, and made careful sure to let everyone know NOT to ask for ketchup!! But, the cow was just halarious!!

We get our food, and it was REALLY good!! I'm not sure why this place gets a bad rap!!!

I was STUFFED to the point where I was uncomfortable!! IT was that good!! We mosied back to the fort, and I saw this little guy.

When we got back to the fort, it was around 9ish, and the settlement depot was crowded, and hoppin with people!! I was guessing it was because of hoop de do....and we headed into the store there to look for more booze....remember, my bottle broke!!

So, while in the store, we found a hat for ma, she wouldn't let us buy it, but I did get a picture!!!!

And on our way to the busses, I saw the horses out pulling the carriages, so I asked the handler if I could take his picture, the CM said he'd be more offended if I didn't take his picture....never can be too safe with horses, didn't want the flash to spook him, ya know!! SO, I got this one!

The horses are big and beautiful!!!! LOVED the horses...and I love all the little wildlife at the fort. So, we get back to our cabin...and I was passed out before my sleeping pill took effect!! just GONE!!! So, alright day over all, AK was a little dissappointing, but dinner more then made up for it. The ONLY gripe I had about WCC, was it was LOUD in the dining room. not only CM's yelling and stuff, that we could deal with, but general chatter was loud. I will definedly try to eat there again some other trip!!

Next up....Ma's birthday at MK!!!!!!!!! With other family joining us for the day!!

Hey Chica, how was your weekend at Disney? I hope everyone missed the "pig" running rampant there. I love your pictures!! Your Mom is a very pretty lady! Yours' always come out so good. Dallas says to tell Tyler "Hi". I really enjoyed meeting up with ya'll at AK. I wish we could have met up earlier and spent more time. We didn't even get our margarita:sad2:. I think we are gonna go back in February. Dale and Dallas really don't want to go Christmas day, they want to be home. Maybe we can meet up again when we go back, if you have your APs. If not we can meet up at DTD and shop :cool1:.

Alright, I apologize for not updating sooner, been sick and then busy!!! So...Tyler got his gun the night before at the WL after dinner, so he was showing it off in the cabin before we left for MK.

So, we get on the boat, and head to MK. We were meeting a few family members today, 2 of my mom's sisters, my cousin, and my great Aunt Sally for today. Ma got an electric scooter, and was MUCH better as far as walking and stuff. We get there before the rest of the family, so I take ma to get her birthday gift card. I had pre-registered her, so she was all set to go! After she was done, I took this, just LOVE the halloween decorations, almost as much as I love the Christmas decorations!!

Aunt Donna...she was a trooper, she had breast cancer 2 years ago, and had her reconstruction surgery about 2 weeks before this day, and she did GREAT!! She is my hero in life...cause she's been thru so much, and is so strong!!

We then went and ate, I wanted to eat at CHH, but we weren't close to that, so we settled for Cosmic Rays. It was good, everyone enjoyed!! We then went on WTP...and I got a pic while in line, this is Ma and my cousin Tracey.

So, we go on a few more rides, and saw the new hall of presidents, it was good, much better then the old one. We got caught by the parade, and hurried up to cross the route, and hung out in the christmas store for a while, I LOVE the christmas store!! We hung out, kinda watched the parade, and then went to ride the jungle cruise. got a couple of pics from Tina's camera from that.

We went on Pirates, and then decided to shop a bit before our ADR at Tony's. Tina found me in the gift shop, and HAD to have my picture in the stitch hat!! HAHAHAHA

Tony's was AWESOME, everyone enjoyed, and Tyler scooped up the confetti that was on the table. I had the shrimp pasta, without the asparagus, and it was REALLY good, and had the tiramasu for dessert! It was VERY yummy!!! WE said our goodbyes from the family, and they left to come home. we were all tired, Tina wanted to watch wishes, but we decided to head back to the cabin. We watched wishes from the boat, which was still nice. We all hit the sack quickly!! Ma had an AWESOME birthday, and loved having the extra family there. I think this was my favorite day out of the whole trip! My family LOVED how I knew the shortcuts and where to go when, so we got to see pretty much all that we wanted to see. Which is nice!! :) Anyways, next up, DHS and Epcot, Dinner at Teppan Edo!!!!

It looks like ya'll had a wonderful time. I love going in the Christmas Shoppe too! We didn't go in this past time for some reason :confused3. I think we were caught on the wrong side of the parade, it had to be something like that :lmao:. We ate at Tony's last year and we really liked it, but we couldn't get an ADR for them this time. I'm not sure what we are gonna do about eating when we go in March. We may just wing it and not worry about ADRs. As always your pictures are great :thumbsup2. Alright, I'm gonna go off on a tangent a little bit here, last weekend was my step daughters 13th birthday, and we went to disney for it, for one day. So, I'm gonna do a mini update here, so I don't have to do a whole new TR for just one day. So....DSD's grandmother has a timeshare up in tennessee somewhere, so she rented out points for the Fountains Resort in Orlando. Now...I have an okay relationship with my DSD's mom, mostly cause I remember how it was for my mom and stepmom NOT to have a good relationship, so I put on a good front for Sami. So, we all stayed in this 3 bedroom place, and it was BIGGER than my house!! It was NICE!!!! We left Friday after I got off of work, I worked until 6, so I was made to feel like they were waiting on me to make dinner, which we were grilling steaks. So, we are rushed getting out of the house, to get over there, and I send DSD's mom a text, and come to find out they haven't even GOTTEN the steaks yet!! :headache: So, they couldn't find wal mart, so we get there, then Kim, DSD's mom and Chris had to go to get the steaks, She takes Chris so she won't get lost again, and her mom wasn't up to going out again. SO, I take the kids to the pool, Sami brought a friend, so there was 3 kids. So, I could see our room from where we were in the pool, so I saw when Kim and Chris got back, so we got out and went up. The kids got a shower while Chris grilled, and then we ate, and cut the cake. Here are some pictures of the cake. I got the cake, mostly cause I wanted her to have a good one. Dinner was okay at best, cause they got crappy steaks. I'm used to NY strips!! :rolleyes1 So...here's some pics of the cake.

So, we go to bed, Chris and I had a king bed in the room we were staying in, and it was TOO big!! I'm used to touching him when he's with me, GOTTA be touching him!! LOL And I rolled over, and couldn't reach him, and wasn't happy! But, that's alright. I got up early, and got in the shower. I then got Chris up, and then Tyler, and heard the girls up in their room, so told them to get dressed. Kim said she had her phone alarm set, so I didn't worry about her. So, we got out the door late, which I wasn't happy about, but finally got there. Here's some pics from the tram!

So, after splash, we headed back to the hotel to swim, the MK was open until 1am, so we figured we needed a break. Had pizza at the room, then headed back in time for Spectro! Got some okay pictures!

We went thru the art store, LOVE the art store!! LOL And then watched Wishes. After that, we headed to do fantasyland, since it was later, and the kiddies were gone! LOL Got Chris on the teacups, he usually doesn't do them, so this was a treat, he could get that thing MOVING!!!

We did more rides, and ended with BTMRR and POTC, and left at about 12:30 pm, we were TIRED! But, it was MOSTLY a good day, coulda done without the attitude from DSD's mom, but hey....it was disney, right? LOL So, that's that day....I LOVED having Chris there, and with him working out, he wasn't hurting, or sore or nothing. It was awesome, he's usually the one to give up first! LOL Back to the Sept TR next!!

Christie I love the update. It is really good. You are a good woman because I don't know if I could deal with an attitude from the DSD mom. I have way too much attitude myself :headache:. I love the goofy face Tyler is making. He is such a cute kid. Dale hasn't committed to going in December yet and I really don't want to push and make him say yes and have a miserable time. I am looking forward to an update on the Sept. trip now.

So, we get up kinda early this morning, and head over to DHS. This isn't my favorite park, so I only have us there for half a day. When we get there, we go straight to TSM. Got these while in line!! LOVE that theming in that line!!

After that, DSIS was hungry, go figure!! HAHAHA so the closest place we were to was the commissary. Now I've eaten there before, and it was crappy, so I figured we'd try it again, and do you know they took the cuban off the menu and added fried fish? We all had the fish but Tyler, he had a burger, and it was REALLY good!!! I was surprised! Got this while sitting there at lunch.

So after lunch, we didn't want to do any big rides, so we went to see the muppets, ma mentioned she liked them so we went and saw them. They both liked the muppets!!

So, after the muppets, our food was settled, we went towards TOT. It was only a 13 minute wait, so we went right in! We were in the front row!! Ma and Tina had never done this before, so this was a treat for them. I'm not particularily fond of this ride, since I don't like the sensation of falling, but I do it LOL For this time, we just HAD to get the extra up/downs, I swear we went up and down 7 times!! So, I was glad when it was over!! HAHA

After that we went towards RnRC, it was a 20 minute wait, so we hopped in line. We got all the way up to where we were the NEXT people on the coaster, then it went down!! :headache: I was upset!!! So, Ma was kinda tired, and Tina was hot and grouchy, so I sent them back to the cabin, so Tyler and I could do a little shopping. He wanted to visit the Star Wars shop. So, I went towards the art store, before going to the SW shop, and got some good pictures of some of the art. I LOVE the art store!!!

I had my camera out so Ma could look at the pictures I got, so the camera was left unattended while ma napped....if you EVER take any family memebers, DO NOT leave your camera unattended, otherwise, you get this!!! :lmao:

LOVED the cabins. My stepmom is thinking of doing a "family" trip that she wants ME to plan, with her help of course, but we would stay at the cabins, I don't think I'll stay anywhere else anymore...I just LOVE them!!!! I'll have the last updates soon....and then post the photopass stuff when that comes. Don't have too much from this trip, but the AK day, got LOTS more!

Well, Epcot, our last park to hit. We had dinner at Teppan Edo, which is the one I was looking forward to the most. We get to Epcot, and got bad news from work while we were walking in...long story, but It was very little info...and it scared me!! So, I'm worried about THAT now!! So, we get mom her ECV, and head back towards Japan, we have some time before our ADR so we take our time. We stopped in club cool, I had never been in there, so I tried the beverly, NASTY stuff...I did like the watermelon soda, even tho it was very sweet. So, off we go, we see some ducks, I love all the ducks around Epcot!!

We then walked around the world showcase, rode Maelstrom, my mom and sister didn't know that was there, so that was a first, then we headed towards test track. That line was long, even tho it was EMH night...but we got in line anyways!!

We went and rode Spaceship Earth, and decided to call it a night. We were all tired, and I was FINALLY feeling really sore, I think the pool helped me quite a bit with the body aches.

So, check out was the next day, so we woke up, packed the car, and was talking about where to head to for the day, and my Aunt Donna called, said my Great Uncle Rick wasn't doing so good, so Ma wanted to go home to be with her sisters, which is totally understandable. So brought ma to her car here at my house, and then followed them up about an hour later to have lunch with the family. My Uncle Died that Sunday, so it was nice to have that family time. But, it was okay, he had cancer REALLY bad, and it's what's best for him, so he doesn't hurt anymore. God bless you Uncle Rick, I miss you!!!


So, that was our trip...it was fun, my sister, well, she's my sister, and I did get a card the other day saying how much fun she had, and we'll have to do it again sometime soon....and I thought she was miserable the whole week!!

Next in the works for me, we have a DIS meet on May 29th I think it is....can't wait!! LOL And we're in the discussion part of possibly planning a grand gathering for my baby twin brother's 30th birthday next year in september, so COME ON DISNEY!!! continue the military discounts, PLEASE!!!! That would be fun, 13-16 of my family members...they will kick us out of FW!!! :rotfl2:

When I get the photopass stuff, I'll post that, I only got a couple of pictures in front of Epcot, and one test track, oh, and me and Tyler at DHS, after ma and them left. Neither one of them wanted their picture done....bad humidity hair I guess!! So....another trip, ended...sad, but it was definedly something I'll think twice about before taking my mom and sister again!!!!!!! Love them, BUT, they just don't share my love of all things disney!

I love your pictures. I think I am going to do the PP CD in May. They are suppose to still be offering it for resort guests at $99. I'm hoping the rain stays away because we paid for it last May and didn't get very many pictures. We did get alot at the resort special seating but that was $70 more. I took my sleeping pill about an hour ago so it is kicking in.
