Hello!! :welcome: to my TR!!

My parents, son and I stayed at Pop Century from 9/10 until 9/16 for an amazing Disney World trip!! If you missed my ptr you can find that HERE (http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2147628). Of course, if you read my ptr, this report will still be FULL of surprises because we oh so often deviated from the plans!! And it worked out wonderfully!!

For those of you who missed my ptr or just need a recap, the cast is as follows!!

Me-19, believer of fairy tales. I LOVE Disney and use the word "magical" in every day conversation. I even have a tiara that I'll wear around just because. (They made me stop wearing it at work though,) I was the planner of this fabulous trip but I'm definitely a very relaxed, flexible, go-with-the-flow planner! I love my son more than anything and he had the best time!! On to him!

Landon-10 months, my little prince. My little boy is starting to walk more than he crawls. He learned to wave at Disney World. His favorite movie is The Tigger Movie and he loves Handy Manny. (And I don't just make this stuff up, even at his age, he actually sits and watches these shows and claps when he hears the songs and stuff!) You will hear all about the magical times he had in the world, but I honestly think he had the best time in the hotel room, solely because there he could walk around and be free. He wanted to be free!! I'm sure when he heard my mom complaining about her feet, he would've let her use his stroller so he could walk, if that were possible! He's a boy on the move!!

Grammy-Mickey's wanna-be girlfriend (yet somehow, still amicable with Minnie :confused3). This is my mom and she hates any ride that Landon can't go on. (They scare her...even Soarin'.) She was the complainer of the trip. Her feet hurt, she was hot, blah blah blah. But we still love her. She loves to shop and that was her favorite thing at the parks. That and pin trading, but she didn't get into that until our last full park day. I guess she just didn't understand what I was talking about and never brought her pins! :confused3

Pop Pop-the one we drag along to it all! Grammy jokes that we brought him to drive us and to pay for stuff. :lmao: And while he did those things, he also accompanied me on all my thrill rides!! And he just enjoyed the magic and fully trusted me with the planning.

So thats us!! I hope you join us as we re-live the adventures!!

The night before Disney is when I finally finish packing. Landon helped, of course. He’s a very good boy.

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020872.jpg

We get to the airport nice and early. My mom and I decide to kill time by walking around the shops. Landon kicked back and relaxed in his stroller.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020878.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020881.jpg

By the time we get back, our plane is there. We had a lynx. I think his name was Hank? I don’t know though!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020880.jpg

Here is my mom and I:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020884.jpg
I honestly think this may be the only picture of the trip where our hair looks really good. Dang humidity!

Landon was just so excited!! Especially when the gate attendant labeled his stroller for what he called “Goofy World”. I feel really bad for any kid who is on a flight to Orlando and NOT going to Disney World! They always play it up so much! Anyway, here is Landon being a big boy in his own seat!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020886.jpg

We got there and got our rental car. Landon didn’t seem too excited! At first I was perplexed as to why.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020890.jpg
Then it all made perfect sense:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020892.jpg

He was a sleepy boy!! But he missed this:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020893.jpg
And this!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020895.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020896.jpg

He got up on the way to check in though!!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020898.jpg
He sits like this because he likes to lean over and watch the wheels. He loves wheels, he’s such a boy!!

We dropped our stuff off in our room and then went back to the main building to get some snacks! We had a late night ADR but needed some refueling before then!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020899.jpg
I got the cheese fries, Grammy got a blueberry muffin, and Pop Pop got the banana bread. Those cheese fries were HEAVENLY!! I could go for some right now. After that, we looked around the Everything Pop! gift shop for a while!!

I couldn't believe we were finally here! I could practically feel the magic in my veins!! I couldn't stop smiling I was so happy!

Our California Grill dinner is up next!! Did we have to wait long? Did we get a window seat? Were their fireworks? Did we stick to steak or did we go more exotic?! Find out soon!

Landon is such a cutie pie! 10 months is such a fun age, too!

What building/room were yall in at Pop? And those cheese fries do look SO good right about now! I'm starving! Hahaha.

Can't wait to hear about California Grill!

We drive over to the Contemporary a bit early for our 8:30 ADR. We wanted to check out the gift shops! And the consensus? We all liked the one at Pop better!! Though we do love just about any gift shop!! Then I fed Landon some of his dinner in the lobby before checking in. My dad felt WAY overdressed. Almost everyone in line was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. It turned out that hardly any of them had ressies! Once we got up the elevator, he felt much better! There were some of those jeans people, but also some people who looked like they were going to prom in fancy dresses! (No boys were that fancy, just some girls!) But most people were like us, just business casual.

We went up and waited in the bar area. We sat right by the window then. Grammy and I got a “Mickey Mouse” (aka Shirley Temple) and Pop Pop got a Long Island Ice Tea, I believe! For this night, Landon and I each had customized polos. Mine was actually a blue dress with a patriotic Mickey that said “Mommy” underneath and his a white onesie that had a black Mickey that said his name underneath! I don’t have any pictures showing mine for some reason! But in some you can see his. Here’s me and my handsome little guy!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020902.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020904.jpg

We waited…and waited…and waited. They had said they were running behind reservations even, but we had checked in a bit early! And it turns out that they had moved back the fireworks time to 10 without my knowledge! I had thought it was 9! So we just kept on waiting. Landon kept climbing all over the seat we were on and looking out the window and looking down at the beautiful castle. I was getting restless waiting, so we decided to go to one of the observation decks. And what do you know? As soon as we open the door, our buzzer goes off. I kid you not! Funny how that works!

And now I must bring up my 2 problems with California Grill. If you order drinks while waiting for your table, they can’t add it to your dinner bill. I suppose we should’ve asked, but I just thought that was weird. My mom and I probably wouldn’t have gotten drinks and just waited for our ones included with the Dining Plan. So we had to pay OOP for those.

Second, everyone waiting in the bar has a much better, closer view of MK! We did in fact score a window seat, but our view had been better from the bar!! I think they should rearrange it and make it so that the people who actually have reservations can have the best view! Any walkup can go and just order drinks and get that best view. I definitely don’t like that! But oh well, we still had a pretty nice spot!!

ANYWHO, back to your regularly scheduled trip report:

For appetizers, I got some kind of tomato soup. (I can’t find it on the allears menu and the Disney site isn’t working for me!)
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020910.jpg
This was, frankly, quite gross. It was way too salty and I had to choke down what bites I did have. Luckily they had delicious bread (no pic of that) and my dad shared with me!

Pop Pop got the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli, as recommended by our server.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020914.jpg
YUM!! I wish I had gotten this!! It was SOOOOO good!! I loved it very much, it was a very tantalizing taste!

Grammy got the summer salad.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020913.jpg
She enjoyed it. I’m not a salad person.

Landon had the bread. He LOVED it!! He started to get really sleepy and we even had his stroller brought up but he wouldn’t sleep. The bread got him through however. He was addicted the rest of the trip!

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020918.jpg

For our entrees, Grammy and Pop Pop both got the Oak-fired Filet of Beef.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020920.jpg
They liked it. I tried it and it was good, but I LOVED my entrée so much more!! I was timid about ordering it, but decided to just order it anyway!

I got the Seared Ostrict Filet.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020919.jpg
I scraped off everything on top and just ate the meat and potatoes. But OH MY GOODNESS, ostrich is SO GOOD!! It tasted very similar to steak, but it was so tender and juicy and if it were steak, it would’ve been the best I ever had!! I would order this again in a heartbeat! My parents steak did not compare!

The fireworks happened right before dessert. It was so cute, Landon kept looking around to see where the voice talking was coming from that they piped in. Here he is watching the fireworks:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020922.jpg

After this, a lady came over and talked to us about Landon and told us how cute he was and that everyone at her table had been guessing his age and she was just gushing over him. He gets that a lot!! Lol!

For dessert, I got the Valrhona Chocolate Cake, but I can’t find a picture. And on the allears site, it says that it came with cherries? Mine came with the cake in the middle, whipped cream on the left and carmel gelato on the right! I wish I could find the picture! The cake was pretty good, but the gelato was heavenly! I loved it!

I don’t think my dad got anything. Oh wait, I remember now! All he got was a dessert wine. I didn’t take a pictue.

Silly me. I just realized Grammy got the same thing as me! That’s probably why I didn’t take a picture!! And sadly in hers, all we really got was the “Happy Anniversary” chocolate.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020925.jpg

After that, I left while my parents took care of the check. Landon was getting very sleepy. I got stopped by the table that woman came from earlier and they all talked to me. They were very nice and self-proclaimed Disney addicts.

I went down to the 4th floor of the Contemporary to find some pressed penny machines. While I was there, a little boy came down with his sister and he was getting a pressed penny. The girl said that she wanted one too and the boy told her to ask their mom. I offered her some money to do it, I mean really, its only 51 cents. She declined, and then their mom came and the girl asked her mom for money and the mom said she didn’t have any more change for her and I again offered, this time to the mom as well and she declined. I could tell the girl really wanted one, especially since her brother was getting one and I just don’t understand why they wouldn’t take some change? It’s not like I was offering to buy her a souvenir or something crazy expensive, ya know? I just thought it was really odd!

After that, my parents came down and we went home to rest up for our first park day! How will the weather be in the MK? Will our feet survive the first day? Will Disney do anything for September 11th? Who will we meet? Find out soon!

So I left off with our first night being over. We all woke up SUPER early for pre-opening ADR’s at Crystal Palace! I believe this was the only day we got there “late”. I think we got to the MK at the exact same time as our ADR (8:05). I was seriously OOZING with excitement. My dad took some pics of the fall-ish decorations while I got Landon out of his stroller:

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020927.jpg

And then I made him take a million pics of me and my little guy:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020931.jpg

Look, Landon, that’s the castle!!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020933.jpg
(please ignore the family ruining my darling picture lol)

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020936.jpg

And then we checked into Crystal Palace. We barely waited 2 minutes before they called our name. I didn’t take any pictures of the infamous flower Pooh-characters in the front, sorry. I’m sure we’ve all seen it though. I hurried and got my food first so I could be there for the characters.

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020947.jpg

Honestly, I wasn’t too hungry and just wanted to see the MK. Though I am a lover of the breakfast pizza and puffed French toast. Should’ve got more breakfast pizza though!! I just wanted to get out to the Magic Kingdom! My parents wanted to sit and eat and they ate very…heavily…this isn’t too good!! You’ll see what later…

First up, was Landon’s FAVORITE character…Tigger!! He watches the Tigger Movie almost everyday and gets excited when the Tigger song comes on. However, his reaction was strange.

First Tigger snuck up and kissed Landon. Landon just stared.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020939.jpg

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020938.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020942.jpg

Then Tigger left and he came back (I think because my mom came back from the buffet, I can’t really remember why now…) and Landon started crying!! I don’t know why!! But he cried and cried even more if Tigger got close again. I was worried about him being scared the whole trip. However, this was the only time Landon cried at a character the whole trip! He was very unsure of the rest of the 100 acre woods characters though, for this breakfast!

Luckily, Piglet was next and he’s kind of timid.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020944.jpg

Landon always has a huge staring problem, whether you’re a pretty girl or a guy with a hat or a huge fuzzy pig with pink ears:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020945.jpg
(Although I can’t tell if he’s looking at Piglet’s ears or the ceiling…what do you think?)

When Piglet was done with our table, Tigger came back over and picked up some of those little creamers from an empty table and stuck them in Piglet’s mouth!! Piglet acted like he was crying and shook his fist at Tigger! It was funny. The character handler person had to come and take it out for him! Hahahaha. I think the little parade they do happened next and then Pooh came. Pooh got down to Landon’s level, which was nice.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020948.jpg
He wouldn’t take pictures though.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020949.jpg

After this, we left, even though we still had Eeyore left. Eeyore wasn’t a “must-do” character, as Tigger was. If Tigger had been last we probably would’ve waited. But I mean, we were in MAGIC KINGDOM…I couldn’t just sit inside waiting for a character who wasn’t a must-do!!

Up next…our first taste of the magic!! What rides do we do? Which does Landon like and which does he hate? Do we run into anybody worth taking a picture with!! Find out soon!!

Landon is adorable! He is so cute meeting the characters!

My DD is 10 months also. She loves watching Handy Manny & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She dances along to all the music.

She also has a staring problem. Maybe it is an age thing? Its almost embarrassing going out to eat because she loves to watch other people!

Cant wait to read more!

Oh wait until you see the Handy Manny pics!! I think I only have those on PhotoPass so we have to wait until that gets here! They're so cute though!!

After a delicious, quick breakfast at Crystal Palace, we cut through the castle hub over to Fantasyland! The park was open, but still not very crowded as you can see here.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020953.jpg

Our first stop was DUMBO!! We got right on his next flight! I wanted a good picture where you could really see Dumbo but for some reason, my dad only took them from his and my mom’s elephant. So you can’t even see the whole of Dumbo we are in! I tried to tell him to get out and take it but he got mad and said he could get one just fine from his. Which he didn’t, but oh well!

HELLO SUNSHINE!! Please ignore my squintiness

After Dumbo, we headed over to Pooh’s. My mom loved this ride. I thought it was kinda cute…kinda jerky. Like when you’re supposedly hopping with Tigger. I still liked it but hope someday they can make it so its smooth and you really feel like your bouncing instead of on a machine. That being said, it was really cute and Landon loved looking around at all the lights and colors it had. (Oh and this ride was a walk-on, and we got our own honey pot, which I thought was SO cute!)

Then we headed over to Peter Pan’s flight. We for some reason thought it would take my dad a long time to park the stroller so just me, Grammy and Landon went on while he parked it. Landon did NOT like this ride. We thought he was just tired and fussy, but I think it may have been the darkness now.

After we got off, we could not find my dad. Like barely a minute later, he came up and it turns out he had decided to just go on Peter Pan’s flight himself since it was a walk-on. Next we all went to It’s A Small World, also a walk on. This ride is why I think Landon just didn’t like the dark of PPF. He LOVED this one. I know he was tired but he was awake and alert and just trying to look at everything here.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020965.jpg
I think the way they have the song played in all the different instruments and what not makes it not as annoying or get stuck in your head as much. Apparently, a little boy from another family who got off the boat with us, begged to differ as he held his hand over his ears the whole way out! Haha!

Then we picked up the stroller and Grammy needed to use the bathroom. And so we found one and I realize that I’m probably a huge weirdo. I mean, who really takes pictures of bathroom entrances? Apparently, me!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020967.jpg
But it’s clearly my own, personalized bathroom!!

Then we walked and saw that Haunted Mansion was a walk on! Pop Pop and I went, as Grammy didn’t want to. So she stayed with Landon.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020970.jpg
I love everything about this ride. The decoration details, the effects, the spookiness! Its just awesome!!

And next, I found this!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020971.jpg
I think I may be the only loner who takes a picture without anyone else in the other side! Oh well!

Next, my dad and I rode Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road and then Splash Mountain! BTMRR disappointed my dad as far as roller coasters go. Oh well…I still love it! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE Splash! I love the drops and the story and the music and its just so fabulous. Both of these rides were also walk-on’s. In fact, Splash even had some empty logs going down and ours wasn’t even filled!

Then we were walking back to where our lunch ADR was and we saw…CAPTAIN HOOK AND MISTER SMEE!!! YAY!!! I love them!!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020977.jpg
I tried to freak Hook out by telling him I thought I heard some ticking and he just looked over his shoulders and then shook his finger at me. I guess I couldn’t fool him. It was fun getting to know them! AND their handler was from the city I grew up in and is like 20 minutes away from me now!! I think she was the only CM I saw from the state.

After this, we head over to Liberty Square for some lunch!! But you’ll have to wait until at least tomorrow to hear about that!!

great start to your MK day, i have always been tempted to do a breakfast at crystal palace so we can get in early when no one is on main street, i might have to try and talk my dad into this one on our next trip.

i think it is little kids who just like to star, parker stairs at everyone, then we tell him to wave if he is going to stair and he breaks his serious face and laughs and waves at them.

cant wait to see what you guys did next...

How fun! Landon just learned how to wave while we were there! It was so cute. He would wave at everyone and it melts my heart every time!

And I HIGHLY recommend pre-park opening breakfasts. I think we only had one day where we didn't have one and my parents (and I) hated it. Its much nicer to be in there when its empty and then not have to be herded with all the crowd when it is open! :thumbsup2

Thanks! The pic on Landon's shirt I actually snagged from someone off the DISigns board!! Isn't it cute? He got lots of comments on it!! I love it! We got so many rides in early!! Of course, this being my first trip, I don't know if thats normal or not! (Our lunch was pretty early though...like 1130ish)

Motherhood IS very rewarding! And hard. But so worth everything we go through.

NO, that many rides by lunch is NOT normal! At least not for the times I've been there. Especially Peter Pan. There's always a long line for that ride. Maybe it was not crowded while you were down there, or getting there so early helped.

Hey! It'll be so fun to bring your little guy!! How old is he? I can't wait to bring mine back! It really is magical to see them! I can't wait to read about your honeymoon trip! :cloud9: I'm such a hopeless romantic!!

Oh thanks!! I forgot to tell you that when I was reading your tr, I saw that your little guy knows how to get through the gate...out to the trampoline, right? It reminded me of my little guy. A few times recently I have seen him on his tippy toes trying to reach the door knob on our front door!! Isn't it crazy how they figure it out?! Lucky for me he can't reach it yet...but oh man, once he does, I'll always have to be on the look out and make sure its bolted!

He'll be 3 in November already! :scared1:

Haha, you'll have awhile to read about our honeymoon trip. We're waiting until we're both done with school for that.

I can't believe how fast they catch onto something. Be careful doing stuff because he'll learn just by watching you do it a few times. And then....before you know, he'll be repeating everything you say so then you have to be careful of what you say. :rotfl2:

I bet he loved meeting Handy Manny. I usually dont care much for DHS but this time Playhouse Disney is at the top of my To Do list.

I find that if someone smiles at Lizzie or makes a comment to her thats is when she stares them down. I think they are just learning so much right now & realizing that there is so many different people everywhere. She is just trying to soak up all these new things.

No PTR yet. I will probably start one the beginning of January. My best friend has just joined the DIS so we are going to do a joint one.

How did Landon do on the plane? Lizzie is taking her 1st plane ride in October and I am so nervous. She hates being in a carseat for more than an hour so we cant drive.

Aw Landon's birthday is in November too!! He'll just be one and I can't believe it!! And it amazes me how smart the smallest children are. Landon has picked up the remote and pointed it at the tv trying to do something! I've never tried to teach him that! The way they just absorb everything blows my mind!!

And I think its smart that you guys are waiting until you are done with school!! If you don't mind me asking, are you guys thinking of a Disney wedding or just Disney-moon, when that time comes?

I'd love to have a Disney wedding! But, since it'd be impossible for all our families to get down to WDW, maybe I'll just throw in some Hidden Mickey's in places and on top of the cake! But, we'll definately be having our honeymoon at WDW..We're going to stay at the Poly and pretend it's Hawaii.

I'm hoping for a Disney Wedding so bad!! But I don't even have a prince yet...minor detail lol. But hidden Mickey's would be great! There's so much you could do to incorporate Disney!!

Right now I'm just working but I sure could use you as an academic advisor! lol jk! But really, I always go back and forth. My dream dream dream job is to be a wedding planner. There's even a local school here that has a whole hospitality department and you can major in event planning. But I just don't know if that job is too...risky, ya know? My other choice would be teacher which would be great, especially once Landon started school because then we could have most of the same time off and stuff...but I don't know if my heart is fully in that.

What if you bf studying? I like what you are planning on doing! You will have such an impact on people's lives with that!! I bet you'll be fantastic at it!!

Aw thanks!

And I think I would probably have to be an event planner and not just weddings. Though I do know that these days, a wedding planner can be almost beneficial especially to the people who are on a budget because they can help you still have your dream wedding on a budget and think of creative ways to do that instead of just cutting things because they seem too expensive...if that makes sense. Of course, I could also go and work for a big company and plan all their events from meetings to holiday parties or whatever...but I'm not sure how much that is needed either, at least in this economy. Thats why I think that I should get something "safer" until I do find my Prince Charming and he provides for me and I can have a job that is more of a "hobby", if you know what i mean! (Because of course he'll be rich! HAHA!)

And your guys job sounds so manly!! Is he planning on doing any specific thing with that and is he working and going to school?

Can't wait to hear more!!!:goodvibes

Oh I love the 50's one!! I absolutely ADORE Pop!! Is Pop awesome at Christmas with their decorations? The week was great and all forms of weather and crowds! I definitely loved it!

And if it had been during the day, I probably wouldn't have excused them, but this was a pre-park opening pic, its supposed to be just us!!

ps-- you asked about my TR, I haven't started yet, I can't get back onto my PTR, they closed it while I was away and trying to get that worked out, I will let you know though!!:)

Ok thank you!!

Ok I left off with lunch time. We headed back over to Liberty Square for lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. My parents didn’t know that my Crystal Palace motives laid in meeting Tigger and mostly getting into the Magic Kingdom early so they filled up and were not very hungry for our pretty early lunch ADR. (11:30ish)

Neither of them got an appetizer, but shared mine. I got the Tavern Fried Cheese.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020978.jpg
Its fried cheese, so of course it was good. (And it comes with much more cheese, I just forgot to take a picture earlier!)

Landon was so tired throughout this meal but not fussy at all! Thankfully! You can totally see how tired he is in this picture:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020980.jpg

On to entrees, I got the Angus Chuck Cheeseburger with bacon and cheddar.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020981.jpg
It was good but huge. I did not come close to finishing it.

Pop Pop got the Tri-Corner sandwich.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020982.jpg
He told me it was “interesting” and “different” and when I asked if he liked it, he said yes.

Grammy got the Colony Salad.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020983.jpg
She loved it.

A large party with some kids sat next to us. Landon was VERY interested.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020984.jpg

Neither of my parents got dessert either but shared some of mine. Ooey Gooey toffee cake! YUM!! Definitely a little slice of heaven!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020985.jpg

After lunch, we headed over to Pirates. This was our longest wait of the day and still under 10 minutes. When we were on this ride I did the whole “I don’t believe in George” thing, just for giggles. (You know, the CM who supposedly died while building the attraction and now supposedly haunts it.) And we did, indeed, get stuck. For longer than we had to wait to get on the ride, in the part where they sing “Yo-ho! Yo-ho, a pirate’s life for me!” And we listened to it over and over. Poor Landon was so tired and kept trying to fall asleep and then something would be loud and jolt him back awake. However, I don’t know if I broke the ride with my disbelief in George (LOL!) or if they were already having technical difficulties and that’s why this was our longest wait of the day? Who knows!!

After this, we walked up and down Main Street, mostly in the shops. Landon got a big Tigger stuffed animal that he loves and its cute. I’ll post pics of all the souvenirs at the end!

Then in the area where the flags are, we saw some characters! On one side we saw Daisy, who Grammy didn’t want to see and then we saw Pluto on the other! Unfortunately, all the Pluto pics are on PhotoPass so we’ll have to wait for the cd to get in. When we’re done with Pluto, I see Mary Poppins!! She was kind of off to the side and I think there was only one group in front of us, so we hardly had to wait for her! She was so sweet and whimsical! And Landon’s first face character!! She saw his shirt and asked if he was a pirate and hoped that he was a good pirate!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020989.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020990.jpg
(Grammy also was the autograph-getter…which she had a fun time doing! It would have been hard for me while trying to hold Landon!)

After this we needed a bathroom break and what not, so we went down to the one by Crystal Palace since that is also where the baby station is for a good place to change Landon. I saw a fountain and needed a picture.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020991.jpg

A very kind CM saw us and offered to take our pic. My dad thought he was a wandering Photo Pass person or something because he didn’t offer him our camera at first! LOL
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020992.jpg

After this…what we did was one of the highlights of the trip!! I treasure what happened next so much! Truly magical! But you’ll have to wait for tomorrow for that!!

Not you've got me wondering.....did the ride break on it's own or did George shut down the ride 'cause you don't believe in him? Hum?

Looking forward to your "hightlight".

Wow! Great update!

I'm amazed at how EMPTY the streets look in your pictures. Totally jealous! When we went in March (spring break), you couldn't move on Main Street.

Glad you got to experience Disney like that. It's really the best way! :thumbsup2 It was that way our first trip in Nov. 2006, so I have experienced it non-crowded once and it was soooo nice. I definitely recommend it. ;)

Editing to add a pic from DHS in March. I was looking for a crowd picture, but apparantly, I didn't take one last time. Here's the Hat, so it gives you an idea of how many people were around, though.

Enjoying your TR and photos so far!

It's so nice when the characters get down to the kids' level--otherwise, they can seem big and scary. We found that Pluto did this the most of the Fab 5.

MK looks so quiet and inviting. :goodvibes Of our 2 boys, one is in elementary school and had perfect attendance last year--he was really proud of that! Otherwise, it would be so tempting to go to the World in September!

Somehow I totally missed your reply last time!! I think we must've posted at the same time or something!!

Anyway, we ended up not doing Playhouse Disney Live on Stage! It was like the last thing we were going to do and Landon was napping. We didn't really want to wait around in the heat for him to wake up, ya know? But we did meet Manny and it was great!!

I think its amazing at how much babies their age can absorb stuff!! It really blows my mind, you can tell they are just soaking everything in!!

Landon did great on the plane. His trip to Florida was actually his 3rd plane ride. We've gone to Atlanta and back before and he did MUCH better on those rides than on the ones to Orlando and back. But I think thats because for Atlanta, it was during his bedtime or nap time, but he was pretty wide awake on both the ones to Disney World and didn't like having to sit in our laps and have to be in that cramped space, ya know? They say to give babies a bottle for their ears and stuff, but Landon wouldn't ever take one. Just make sure you have enough water and stuff so you don't have to get up if you need to mix some formula. Its a pain. Also, have stuff to keep them entertained. Of course, you can be like my mom who told me she would just give my brother and I medicine so we slept on the plane! :scared1:

But I will definitely keep an eye out for your ptr!! A joint one sounds fun!

Very cute pictures again!

Not you've got me wondering.....did the ride break on it's own or did George shut down the ride 'cause you don't believe in him? Hum?

Looking forward to your "hightlight".

I know!! I should've asked if the ride had broken down earlier and thats why the line was so long or if that was the first time!! We were stuck a LONG time!

Great update Landon is so cute!

Thanks!

Oh my goodness!! Thats crazy!! It was definitely NOT like that at all when we went!! I think the only time we saw a crowd like that was when everyone was herded together before rope drop! LOL I guess going when everyone is in school really pays off!

We got some great family pics, especially with photopass. I finally got the cd so that'll be my next post!!

I'm sure if you search you can find a more detailed story about it, but as far as I know, George is a CM who died while building POTC and he kinda "haunts" the ride. The CMs working it are supposed to say "Good Night, George" every night or the ride breaks down a lot the next day. And if you say "I don't believe in George" 3 times in the pirate fight scene, the ride will break down.

Thats it as I remember off the top of my head!

Yeah, George is pretty interesting!! I forgot to mention that I asked one of the CMs how George was when we got off and she said fine. lol and if you find stuff about him, you'll see that the CMs working POTC know what you're talking about if you talk about George!

And thanks!! I'm posting another update now!

After our little break in the baby station, we headed right back down Main Street to….

HARMONY BARBER SHOP!!
Today was the day for Landon’s first haircut!!
For those of you who have never been in here, it’s a small little barbershop and has 2 chairs and a cash register. When we went in, there was an older guy getting his haircut. We didn’t have to wait at all.

The lady doing the cut put a whole bunch of stickers on Landon. I don’t know if she was just trying to get him to warm up to her or what…but she did. Lol.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020995.jpg
Look how long his hair was!!

Then she wrapped the thing around his neck!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020996.jpg

And then…snip, snip!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1020998.jpg

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030006.jpg
In this one, see that Sorcerer Mickey thing? Its hat spun around and it lit up and stuff and she gave me that so I could keep his attention so he wouldn’t try to look at her and see what she was doing while she was cutting!

Shaving around his ears and side burns!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030014.jpg
What a big boy!!

Included with the price of $14, was this:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030016.jpg
We also got a lock of hair and he got a certificate, some stickers and I think that’s it.

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030017.jpg

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030021.jpg
Thank you, Janet from the Bahamas for my little bear’s first hair cut!!

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030022.jpg
So handsome! (I wish I had gotten a before and after pic here, but all I got was the after!)

Then we went back up by the castle. I took a pic with this statue.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030024.jpg

Then I saw a Photo Pass guy. These are some of my favorite Photo Pass pics from the whole trip!
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image039.jpg
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image043.jpg

http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image045.jpg

And please note: those “crowds” are waiting for the castle show to start!!

Now that my son looks simply adorable, we decide to head over to Adventureland! We’re all pretty hot, so we stop and get…DOLE WHIPS!!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030028.jpg
I got the float, my mom got a normal Dole Whip and I think my dad got the kind swirled with vanilla. We all liked it! Even Landon liked it!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030029.jpg
Well…once he got used to it, he liked it!

Next we were going to go on the Jungle Cruise…but the ride wasn’t running. So we decided to just carry on. Landon was being a silly boy in his stroller!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030036.jpg

Then we saw Aladdin, Jasmine AND Genie. But the line is closed until after the parade. Boo. I had wanted to meet them all!!

So we decide to head over to Frontierland so my dad and I can ride Splash again. We can see all the parade lines and people waiting. My mom doesn’t want to watch it, she wants to do “stuff’.

On the way, I see a PhotoPass guy by Splash and take pics by myself!! I think Landon was sleeping…
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image049.jpg

http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image051.jpg

But we get to Splash and…it’s down as well!! My dad thought that they just stopped running rides so that people would be forced to ride the parade. HAHA. Wouldn’t that be funny?

Now my mom really does NOT want to see the parade so her and my dad wander off and I decide I want to. Here’s me and Landon waiting for it.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030037.jpg

Now if you recalled, we were by Splash Mountain. Right where the parade ends. So I waited and waited…and waited. Did I lose patience or did I see the parade? Hmmm…

LOVE the 1st haircut pics!! And what a great deal for a haircut and ears! And such a nice memory for you!!:cloud9: Landon looks SO grown up with his big boy haircut, doesn't it just change them from little babies to big boys all of a sudden? I was SO sad when my boys got their haircuts the first time...my oldest we didn't cut until he was 15 mos. when people started telling us how pretty "she" was...obviously we waited a bit too long!! I did get more balloon pics on my cd, but with just me. And they actually had the balloon! So you should be fine!! I don't know why that one didn't lol

Landon does look so grown up with his haircut!! I will have to post some recent pics of him since we've been home. He's been having to wear some of his fall clothes because its cooled down here and they're all like polos with long sleeves and jeans and he's had to wear shoes and he just looks more like a little boy than a baby and it makes me smile and cry at the same time! He's so dang cute but growing up SO fast!! Its not fair! All of their "firsts" are so bittersweet.

And some people really do wait a long time!! Your 15 months seems short, I saw someone there who was also getting a first haircut and they were over 2!! (And this was a little boy as well!) His hair was pretty crazy!! I wish I could've seen it after!

LYNN!!! HI!!! I'm so glad you're here!! I understand you're being busy, don't worry about it!!! Thats awesome. How is the school and running going? I'm sure I can find out by going to your ptr. I'll head over there next! :goodvibes

Cali Grill is a definite one time thing...though I may be tempted to go back for some delicious ostrich. I would definitely go earlier though. I think the fireworks crowd kills the mood. I've heard sunset there is so nice!!

Landon didn't even know what to do with himself and all those stickers!! He got stickered up everyday in the park. I thought it was hilarious. There must be MILLIONS of those stickers in the park, because I'm sure Landon got like a thousand. CMs would stick one on him and then hand us a stack. I'm not even kidding...that was the most he had on him at any one time though!

And I meant to ask you on facebook this morning...are you so excited for the re-release of Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3d?! I just thought of you when I heard about that for some reason!!!! I can't wait. Its going to be SO AWESOME!!

Back for more of your TR and really enjoying your photos.

What a nice memory of Landon's first haircut. What I remember from that first one (admittedly, not in a magical place ;) ) was the squirming. Worked out much better for you!

Did you ever find out what was going on with all the rides not going during the parade?

I love your photopass pics (especially the jumping one!) and the Halloween border is so pretty. Fall is my favorite season, so I love all the different colored leaves.

Isn't the barber shop amazing? We went in January for my "baby's" first haircut too. Yes, she was 6 yrs old and had never even had a trim. And, that's all I let them do...just a little trim! Even though she was a big kid, they still gave us the ears, certificate, etc. She even got red and pink hair gel with tons of pixie dust. It was a great experience.

I will have to look at the new pics of Parker!! How old is he now?? I think I'm going to have to go through your old tr and look at pics from his birthday for inspiration!! Landon's is just over a month away!!

I don't know why all the rides happened to be down. Splash did start working sometime during the parade though...I have a funny story about it in my next update!

Thats so awesome!! You have a tr for that, right? I'll have to look it up!! I'm glad they still did all the stuff for her!! Thats awesome! Its a great place for a first haircut!! And its completely understandable for a girl to go that many years without even a trim!! With a boy, that would be a long time. Isn't it Kate Hudson's son who has seriously long hair? I always thought he was a girl...he has such pretty hair! LOL

Oh hogwash!! Don't you know Disney has pixie dust and every picture looks magically perfect and anyone can jump high while looking cute? :lmao:
No but seriously...I just don't have certain females parts that move when most woman jump and it makes me sad. Even when I was pregnant, they were so small!! So I often wish I had that problem. Instead the problems I have at Disney are terrible hair and squinty eyes! LOL

So when I left off, we were waiting for the parade. And waiting. Oh and I failed to mention that it started raining. Perhaps that made the wait seem even longer. It was ridiculous. Never sit at the end of the parade!! I’m sure you are all well aware of that, but for the record, I hadn’t even been planning on watching but everything was down and I didn’t want to keep looking for something! My parents even wandered back to Adventureland and back before the parade got to us!!
And then finally!!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030039.jpg
Can I just say that I LOVE the parade people…especially the ones in the above picture. I mean, I know its their job and they are *supposed* to be happy and jolly and all that, but they just look for real. I mean I don’t know how I would handle slowly walking all that distance, holding a banner and stopping so often to wait for the rest of the parade and the little dances and all that. They seem to be genuinely enjoying themselves, singing along and smiling and waving if they catch the eye of someone. I just loved them lol.

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030040.jpg
This was the front ribbon dancer girl. She was great too. And she loved Landon. (Notice how the rain messed up his cute new haircut. *tear*)

And some float pictures for you all. Enjoy!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030042.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030044.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030048.jpg
Sure Aladdin, just cut off your meet and greets so that you can be in a parade!!

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030051.jpg

If I were in the parade, I’d be somewhere on this float…with a VERY handsome prince!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030054.jpg

My favorite princess:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030057.jpg
Is it just me or does her parade dress seem a bit nicer and sparklier than her meet and greet one, even though it’s the same dress? I guess I understand…I wouldn’t want the kids pulling on my sparkliest, fanciest number!

Oh and I saw Jafar before Aladdin’s float. He was headed in our direction and I, without thinking, blurt out “EW, JAFAR!” and he hears me and totally turns his back on me!! And then he comes back and makes this gesture, like “come on, I know I’m a bad guy, but what’d I ever do to you?” It was great!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030047.jpg

Now throughout the whole waiting and parade, there was this family next to us. They were all talking about how much they wanted to go on Splash Mountain, even the about 11 year old daughter. But they had a son who had to be like 16 or 17 and he was TERRIFIED of Splash for some reason!! If you recall, the ride had been down and before they opened it up for people again, they were running empty logs. The little sister kept begging to go ride it and her brother would see the empty logs and be like “No way am I going on that!” Now, if you’ve been on Splash, you know there’s that little area where you go where you can see pretty much the same view as the big drop, but it’s a while before the big drop. Well the guy would see people going in that area but empty logs were still coming down and he was like “See?! They aren’t coming out alive!! I won’t ever go on it!” It was just pure hilarity. He cracked me up because he was so much older and so scared!!

And after the parade, my dad and I finally go to go on Splash again!! My mom went shopping with Landon while we did that and when we came back, he looked like this:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030069.jpg
All together now: “AWWW!!!”

Then we went back to Adventureland and guess who was back?!?! Aladdin and Jasmine!! But no Genie. *tear* Oh well, we quickly got in line! I think they closed it about 2 or 3 families after us!! Lucky we got in this time!! I also noticed how quickly Aladdin changed back into his "street-rat" attire. Apparently, like Belle, he doesn't wear his finest to the meet and greets!!

The wait was pretty long. There were probably about half a dozen groups in front of us and they were really taking their time with people—especially this one little girl in a Jasmine costume. It was the cutest thing ever. When we moved up in the line and were about 3 or 4 families back, guess who showed up?!

GENIE!!!!!!!!!!!! SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!
At this point, I thought of Lynn, because I remember her collecting the Vinylmation pins. You know how they have all sorts of Vinylmation stuff now? Well this lady had this blank, plush Vinylmation thing and was having the characters sign it! It was pretty cool and a very neat idea!!

Finally it was our turn!!
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image055.jpg
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image057.jpg
(Clearly, checking out a princess is better than taking a good picture…just ask Landon.)

Then my girl, Jas, and I took some “princess-only” pics!
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image060.jpg

After that, my dad and I rode the Jungle Cruise. My mom wanted to shop some more so that’s what she did. It was slow, relaxing and funny to people like me. I love those kinds of jokes they make! (Then again, I’m the kind of person who finds most popsicle stick jokes funny…)

After that, we made our way back out to my castle. I mean, Cinderella’s castle. Maybe Disney is going to surprise me and make it my castle with the new Fantasyland overhaul. Isn’t Cinderella getting a “chateau” or something? She doesn’t need both…

And, as promised, I took more jumping pics. This Photo Pass person had me play around with different kinds of jumps.
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image063.jpg
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image064.jpg

This one is my favorite. It’s the only one of the day without my hair blocking my face. Even though, apparently, I make goofy faces when jumping.
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image066.jpg

This Photo Pass lady LOVED me. (I think it was this one...) She asked if I was a cast member and stuff and told me that I had the personality of one and should be!! Aw!!

And then, we ran smack dab into something “accidently on-purpose”. It was something I fully intended on doing and had planned on doing, but flat out forgot about. Yet somehow, it worked out perfectly that we got to see it.

However…I was gravely disappointed. Stay tuned. I’ll try to get it up this afternoon!

The parade looks like so much fun! I love how one of the CMs from the parade came up to Landon and talked to him - so cute! :)

I love the parade. I know what you mean, they all seem so happy and cheerful all the time. I'd be tired doing all of that dancing and stuff the whole parade.

Oh my gosh, your pic with Jasmine just reminded me of the time when Sis and I were younger and we were getting our picture with her and Dad HAD to be in the pic with us because he liked her. :rotfl2: Oh it's an oldie pic...Sis had on an 'NSYNC shirt on!

In response to your "I just don't have certain females parts that move when most woman jump", don't feel bad! You probably don't have as little as you think. When I was preg with DS4, they got so big, I had to move them out of the way to lay on the couch! And I had never had very big ones before that, and I thought that I'd like it, but I really didn't. :sad2:

After I had DS4, the weight came off very quickly, as did everything else, meaning those female moving parts. I was very glad! Now, in the last two years, I've managed to gain about fifteen pounds with very little effort! Age, I guess. I turned 30 in June, so I figured my time of being thin without trying was coming to an end! And guess what? They're baa-ack! I hate them. So enjoy it and embrace it! :thumbsup2

Now, on to your TR. I loved the pictures of the parade. Hmmm, I haven't seen the daytime one yet. I may have to check it out! Love the picture of the CM with Landon. That's always so fun for them. Too funny about Jafar! I love the interaction between them and the guests.

Yay! Genie showed up to get the best pics ever! Landon. :sad2: Yep, he's a boy all right! Checking out the "girls". Hee, hee.

The story about the boy being scared of Splash is hilarious. I couldn't help but laugh at his statement that they weren't coming out alive. :rotfl:

The picture of sleeping Landon is so precious. And you're right, I said "AWWWW" right before I scrolled down to see that we were all supposed to say it "together". Oh, well!

One more comment, your jumping pics are just too adorable. I hate that your hair got in your face b/c I loved the one where all your limbs are splayed out. But that darn braid got in the way! The last one was cute, too! You need to have one of those framed for your parents. I think you may have just started a tradition. Won't that be fun for you and Landon to do when he gets big enough to jump up? Now THOSE pics, I can't wait to see! :goodvibes

Landon is such a flirt. He even "pretends" to be shy because he knows it scores big! Like he'll stare at someone and then smile all big and look away like he's shy and then slowly look back while the helpless girls just fawn over him! :rotfl:

Must be the princess blood running through my veins that put the crazy idea of castle-dwelling in my veins!! I'll let Disney know we're moving in asap!!

Before I continue, I forgot to add that on our way out of Adventureland, we ran into this cute little place and took some pics.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030071.jpg

Ok, I left off this morning with the “accidentally on-purpose” incident. (And I wish Flaunteroy had been on to guess!)

The reason it was “accidentally on-purpose” was because I had ever intention to do it and then I forgot but ran into it anyway.

You see, this day happened to be September 11th. Now I’m a HUGELY patriotic person. All political parties and conversations aside, I do just love America. Thinking about 9/11 still makes me tear up and I remember exactly what I was doing and how I felt that day. So I wanted to attend the flag ceremony.

I had read on the Dis that last year, people had asked around their hotel if they were doing anything special for it and no one really knew but said to check the Magic Kingdom. I had checked during the parade (during all the waiting) and 3 different CM’s didn’t know but one said if they were doing anything, it’d be at the flag ceremony. (Which I’d figured anyway.)

But after Adventureland and jumping castle pics, I forgot. We were all hot and tired and headed out of the park. Well, the time we left was seriously like 5 minutes before the flag ceremony and we ran right into the crowd waiting for that. (See? Accidentally on purpose!)

Now, I have never seen a flag ceremony so I don’t know if this one was *extra* big or patriotic. It seemed that way to me.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030079.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030081.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030082.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030084.jpg
They had the Main Street Marching Band and the Dapper Dans and some girls leading the pledge. They played a bunch of songs and it did seem BIG and patriotic to me. But I have no idea how big or little the flag ceremony ever is.

My disappointment was that there was no mention of 9/11. They made a big deal of this one guy who was the veteran of the day. And please understand, I am so grateful for everyone who has been in the military, I have 5 friends deployed right now. But they didn’t make any mention of the lives that were lost 8 years ago that day. That made me a little sad.

I hope none of you guys get mad at me for anything in this post!! And if anyone has ever seen another “normal” flag ceremony, can you please let me know how this one compared?

Anyway, after that, we went home and showered. It was nice. Then we headed over to the YACHT CLUB!!!!! Love this resort!! Its so beautiful!! I love the nautical classiness it has. We had dinner ressies at Captain’s Grill. (I kept confusing my parents and saying California Grill, where we had dinner the night before! All these C-grills! Lol!)

The wait for dinner wasn’t bad but it was kind of weird. Like first our buzzer went off and it was just saying the battery was low or something? And she didn’t even get us a new one but put it back in the holder thing and then gave it back. And then it went off again and our hostess sitting us just disappeared and we had to wait again like 2 minutes, just up at the podium. It wasn’t a long wait, but 2 other families got seated and they didn’t know where our hostess went. Oh well!!

Here’s the gorgeous inside (no flash, so as to no disturb the other patrons!)
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030088.jpg

Landon had a blast during this meal. He was just in a good mood. He made friends with this nice, older fellow sitting behind us. He kept staring at him, relentlessly! I get so embarrassed. I mean its one thing when he just keeps looking A LOT but he was just full on staring and we couldn’t get his attention even. He wouldn’t budge! But then he found a straw. He LOVES straws. Silly boy.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030089.jpg

I don’t think any of us got an appetizer. None of them sounded too good. But for entrees, Grammy got the ribeye.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030091.jpg
It was GROSS!! It was pretty much all fatty and super chewy. I had one bite and couldn’t even choke it down.

Pop Pop got the NY strip which was MUCH better.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030092.jpg
It was super delicious. I enjoyed the part he was willing to share.

And my entrée was one I was very much looking forward to. It was the whole reason I’d booked this place…SNOW CRAB LEGS!!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030090.jpg
This whole plate was SO good. The corn on the cob was just perfect, exactly what corn on the cob should taste like. It went perfectly with my crab legs—which were the BEST I’ve ever had. They were so good. I loved them.

For dessert, I believe Pop Pop just got another after-dinner drink. Grammy got cheesecake.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030094.jpg
She loved it, but then again, she loves all cheesecake.

I got the Chocolate Profiterole, which is their sweet ending to your celebration dessert.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030095.jpg
I liked the mousse-y part but the pastry part was too dry.

After our lovely dinner, we go outside and wander the pier they have at the Yacht Club. I cannot even describe how relaxing this stroll was. There were just a few people out with us and it was the perfect temperature and so calm, with the Boardwalk across the water in the distance. We walked all the way down to the pier and on our way back to the resort, fireworks start going off!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030098.jpg
I’m not sure what they were from, and it was just a few, but it was so magical to have them in all that tranquility.

We then head back to the Yacht Club, and after some gift shop browsing, head back to Pop for a peaceful night sleep after our first full day in the happiest place on earth.

That little couch thing is somewhere in Adventureland. We saw it on the way back to the castle. I saw them using it at MNSSHP as a meet and greet area. I'm not sure if its a "special events" character area or not.

And Landon will definitely be moving into the casatle with us!! And we'll just have so much fun with him all the time there!! You're so sweet!! I can't wait to be castle-mates.

So we wake up bright and early for EPCOT day!! WOOOOHOOOOO, right?! We’ll see if that happens lol.

And today is the day I learn that Florida humidity kicks my hair’s butt. Hardcore. Now, here’s some background about my hair for anyone who cares. It was straight, or wavy at the most, until I was about 11 years old. Then one day, I get a haircut and it just curls right up. People claim that its because its not “weighed down” anymore. But even when my hair grows back out, its still super curly. Like whoa curly. All of my previous trips to Florida happened before this strange hair event, so I didn’t know it would be so bad! Oh well.

I left and my hair was stick straight and sleek. Here you can see it starting to poof, but its super long and you can see that at the bottom, it was actually curly again.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030099.jpg
Also, please make note of the weather. It was pretty nice but the humidity level was insane.

We got in the park super early for breakfast at Akershus!! Yay!! Now my parents feet were still sore from yesterday. So they complained the entire way from the front of Epcot to Norway about how long the walk was and that it was too early for that. So annoying. I was walking way in front of them because they were walking so slow and people were still passing me. Oh well. We FINALLY make it there. (I’m not really just complaining about my parents, honest! This is a very important piece of information to make note of, you’ll understand by the end of the posts about this day!)
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030103.jpg
We get seated immediately. (I would post the picture with Belle, but I am going to have to take a pic of the Photo Pass one. The one we took, my dad didn’t have the flash on and the quality is just super bad.)

This breakfast was mostly uneventful. I think only my dad went up to the “cold offerings” buffet. My mom and I were content with all the hot stuff they brought out. It was super yum. I loved it all but didn’t take pictures. The princesses came super fast and Landon was already ready for a nap and hence, getting kinda fussy. Without further adieu, the princesses!!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030109.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030110.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030112.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030111.jpg
(Now, I won’t say anything about a certain princess with a really crooked smile, but I will say we met another one of the same princesses who was just a much better one! I read in someone else’s tr about Norway princesses being “b-team” and I understand. LOL! Cinderella was the prettiest.)

Honestly, the best character at this breakfast was Belle. This breakfast was mostly for me. I just LOVE the princesses. But they hardly interacted with us at all. They pretty much signed the book and took a picture and left. I’m pretty sure all they said was hello, except for Cinderella, who talked about what a handsome prince Landon would grow into. (Belle on the other hand, talked about Landon and how cute he was and talked about the “princess sparkles” on my shirt and stuff like that.)

However, there was a table right behind ours with a little 5 or so year old girl and it was just so cute. She was absolutely mesmerized by them. It was magical to see! It made me tear up. The AMAZING Belle had to walk by us to take her break and she saw the little girl and Belle was like “oh, can I please get one last hug in case you aren’t still here when I get back?” That little girl was in HEAVEN!!

After our breakfast, we go outside and it is POURING!! We hurry and put the stroller cover on and then give Landon a bottle and he is out. Poor little guy was super tired.

So we walk in the rain and we don’t even bother with our ponchos. We have to make a “quick” stop to the first aid station because my mom wants band-aids for her feet. (I think that this first aid AND baby station is the most out of the way here. It seemed like such a long walk!)

Then my mom went shopping with Landon and Pop Pop and I went on Test Track. We walked right on. It was fantastic. There was NO ONE there. It was still pretty early, but I think the rain was keeping everyone away! YAY!! The guy even let us go again without getting off. It was great. I loved that ride. It was one of my dad’s favorites.

http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image069.jpg
(Notice my huge cheesy smile. HA!)

After that, we head over to the Land to ride Soarin’. I checked the time and we were about 2 hours AFTER the park opened. And we saw this:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030118.jpg
We walked right on!! After my dad loved it and didn’t believe it would actually not be fun for someone who was afraid of heights so he dragged my mom on. (She didn’t like it for the record.)

While we waited for them, Landon walked around and played.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030120.jpg
These kind of moments were Landon’s favorite! He loved not being confined to his stroller.

After my parents ride, my dad and I grab some Fast Passes.

What will we do next?! Is it lunch time or is there STILL time for more stuff? How are my mom’s feet doing? Will the rain let up at all? Find out soon!

Aw, I think your hair is so pretty! I'd love to have some curl to my hair. It's stick straighttttt!

Yay for an Epcot day! Akershus breakfast sounds delicious and Landon looks cute with all the Princesses next to him! :) Who was his favorite? Oh! Jake and I are going to Disney right after Thanksgiving and I've always wanted to try this breakfast - would you say it's worth it even though I don't have a little girl?

Your Test Track picture is adorable - you look so happy to be there! And I can't believe Soarin' only had a 5 minute wait! That's craaazzyyy!!

First off, your hair is really pretty!

Second, look at your picture of you and the "big giant golf ball". There's like NO ONE behind you! Cool!

Soarin, are you kidding me? No wait? Jealous. I couldn't even get it on it in March, the line was two hours and NO FP's left. :headache:

Landon is so precious. He just melts me.

Don't feel bad about Aurora! I was thinking the same thing when I saw the picture. Actually, every picture I've ever seen of her has been a bad impression on me.

In one TR I saw a REALLY bad Aurora with smudged lipstick on her teeth, crooked wig and BIG eyebrows. Maybe we saw the same TR? Something about her dress was off too, but I can't remember what.

Oh I don't mind my hair usually...curly hair is just so high maintainence I think! Because you can't even brush it because then the curls just seperate and its horrendous!!

The breakfast at Akershus was good. Belle and Cinderella were probably his favorites. But that might be because they were first and he got fussier as it went on. I would definitely go here. You get 5 princesses and the picture with Belle is included!! You get a 5x7 and 4 4x6's! Its great!! I'm sure it would've been much better if Landon hadn't just been wanting a nap. But I do think the princesses there aren't as good as say, MK princesses. :goodvibes However, for breakfast, the value definitely beats the castle one, especially without a little girl. I think thats they only way I'd pay that much for a castle meal is if I had one!

I was so happy to be there! Though I think they should make the camera take a pic where it looks like that truck is going to hit you! Much more scarier than before the wall.

Thank you!! It was pretty empty, but we got there before the park was opened again!! We did every park day, except DHS!

Thats so sad that you didn't get to ride Soarin! I couldn't believe the wait time! There was no wait for anything that morning!

Thanks for thinking Landon is so cute! I think he is, but of course, mothers are the guiltiest people of bias in the world!!

I actually saw a GORGEOUS Aurora later on in MK! Luckily because that one is not worthy of scrapbooking! I feel so bad for saying that. At first I thought maybe she just wasn't ready for the picture, but we have another one of her (because the flash had been off so we got 2) and its the same!

I'm sure she is pretty in real life too! I think that sometimes, all the things they do to the princesses can make them less attractive. You can't really tell in the pic, but Snow White had hideous eye brows. You could tell they were painted on to look darker. Have you seen My Best Friend's Girl? In it, one of the characters ends up with his eyebrows shaved off and they just look really greasy and paint-y and thats what hers reminded me of.

Thanks...I was having a ball on TT!! I love it! My dad loves all the rides too, but I think he wanted BIGGER thrills. I do love my family. :goodvibes

I would love to see some of the princesses before and after shots. I always wonder what they look like and how weird it would be to be one of them and look at pictures of myself on the Dis as a completely different person!

I have a great relationship with both my parents, now that I'm older!! It was rough going throughout my teenage years! I don't know if you are as cool as me and my mom, but do you watch the Wizards of Waverly Place on the Disney channel? We do!! Have you seen the movie? In it, the main girl character has SUCH an attitude and just is constantly battling her parents and letting them know how much they are ruining her life! It hasn't been that long ago for me, but I laugh now (and feel terrible) when watching that, because that was pretty much me! I'm glad I can get along with them now!

And I'm trying to drag my tr out!! I managed to take a week to just do one day so we'll see!! My epcot day will probably be done sooner since there isn't much to write about, unfortunately! When is your next trip again? I'm still so jealous that you're in DVC!! Can't wait until the day that I am!!

After two rides on Test Track and walking on to Soarin’, it was still pouring. We headed over to…The Living Seas!! This was definitely the busiest part of the park, but still definitely not too crowded and definitely manageable.

Our first stop here was Turtle Talk with Crush!! The show didn’t start for 10 or 15 minutes when we got there, but we had fun looking around in the waiting area. Landon LOVED the rays!! I love how much he looks like a big boy in the first picture:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030121.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030124.jpg

We all loved Turtle Talk. It is so cute and just plain awesome. I can’t wait until Landon is old enough to participate and then walk around the rest of the day saying “dude” a lot, as instructed by Crush. I just love Crush. Landon has a Squirt stuffed animal too (that I got from Finding Nemo on Ice when I was pregnant with him!)

After that, we looked at the dolphins swim around. I just love dolphins. Then we hopped onto some clam-mobiles and looked for Nemo. Some of this ride was cool, like the part where they had the animations IN the aquarium, but the rest was pretty disappointing! But it was nice to be off our feet!

We stopped by to say hi to our buddy Bruce.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030127.jpg
I love him too.

Next we had some lunch over at…CORAL REEF!! And we requested a window seat and got it, without a long wait at all!! It was fabulous!!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030144.jpg
(Sorry the pictures blurry…I couldn’t turn the flash on because then you couldn’t see the aquarium!)

For an appetizer, my parents got the appetizer for two, which consisted of “Seared scallops with a cauliflower foam with black truffle vinaigrette, Sea and Land Grilled Shrimp with cucumber salad and barbecued beef tenderloin skewer with cream polenta and taste of creamy lobster soup”. I didn’t get a picture, but it was all pretty gross, except for the beef tenderloin and the soup. For my entrée, all I got was the soup.

For his entrée, Landon had some baby food that I believe was chicken noodle flavored. Lol
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030132.jpg
Both of my parents got the grilled NY strip steak.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030137.jpg
They liked it enough.

I ventured out onto the wild side again and got the Mahi Mahi! (I’m not sure how wild this is, but seeing how I’ve never had any seafood besides shellfish, I thought it was pretty wild.)
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030135.jpg
The verdict? I LOVED IT!! I would order this again in a heartbeat, it was delicious!

Landon was in SUCH a good mood for this meal. He loved being able to look at the fish tank and he kept trying to steal more bread from the basket. We discovered he loves to play tug-of-war, and he kept playing with the basket. Look how freakin happy he looks!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030139.jpg

For dessert, Grammy got the butterscotch cream brulee.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030154.jpg
She loved it and is not a fan of ream brulee!

Pop Pop got the Baileys and Jack Daniel’s Mousse.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030151.jpg
We all liked it.

I got the chocolate wave.

It was pretty much heavenly!!

We were at the table at the very end, furthest away from the entrance by the window. As we were leaving, we saw the scuba divers come in!! (Yep, there were 2!) But they were taking a very long time doing flips and what not for each table, so we decided not to wait for them!

After that, it had stopped raining, but it was insanely humid to a point of being uncomfortable. We headed back over to the World Showcase. And I’m sure you will all be disappointed in what happens. It makes me sad just thinking about it! But you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out!

I would love to see some of the princesses before and after shots. I always wonder what they look like and how weird it would be to be one of them and look at pictures of myself on the Dis as a completely different person!

That would be really neat. If you were a princess, which one would match your personality and looks the most?

I have a great relationship with both my parents, now that I'm older!! It was rough going throughout my teenage years! I don't know if you are as cool as me and my mom, but do you watch the Wizards of Waverly Place on the Disney channel? We do!! Have you seen the movie? In it, the main girl character has SUCH an attitude and just is constantly battling her parents and letting them know how much they are ruining her life! It hasn't been that long ago for me, but I laugh now (and feel terrible) when watching that, because that was pretty much me! I'm glad I can get along with them now! I had a strained relationship with my parents, too. It's still strained, but we are all trying. It gets easier the older I get, but trust me, I know there's still tension there. I'm 30, so it has taken us awhile! Not that I was a trouble maker or anything, I just had some strange circumstances growing up and my parents didn't know how to handle their own situation and the kids paid for it. LONG STORY!

I have seen Wizards a time or two. I'm a big kid - I love those kids shows and try to sneak one in with DS4 just so nobody knows that I'm really watching it! :rotfl: I'm a big kid at heart. Always will be! :thumbsup2

GREAT update! Landon really was having a blast that day, wasn't he???? Still stealing my heart, that one! You are so blessed. :goodvibes

Lovin' the curly look. You've got nice hair! :thumbsup2

Dinner looks good. I'm starving, especially since I'm on an eat-nothing diet. So I could eat the computer screen right about now!

A CLIFF HANGER for an ending. Doh! Oh, well. You know I'll stay tuned.

I think I look most like Belle...brown hair, about the same length. We both have the big eyes, but hers are brown. For personality, though I love to read, I'm don't think I'm as sugar sweet as her or most the other princesses, so I'd have to say Jasmine! She has quite the little attitude and doesn't let people push her around, but is still sweet! Plus she has a tiger, which is much better than the woodland creatures everyone else is friends with! What about you?

I understand certain circumstances straining parental relationships!! I think half of the reason our relationship has gotten better is because I don't live with them anymore!! I guess we'll see if thats the case or if its healed enough now, because I'm moving back in with them at the end of the month!

I'm a kid at heart too, I've definitely got the "Peter Pan syndrome". And I do still love the Disney channel. (Except for the Jonas Bros show...whats up with that?!)

I am so blessed with Landon. He's such a good baby. Everyone always comments on how well behaved he is. I don't even realize until I see another baby who is screaming...Landon has never been like that and I am totally spoiled and it terrifies me for my next child! :scared1:

I know what you mean about wanting to eat the computer screen. :rotfl: For some reason, I always end up on the restaurant boards when it starts getting close to lunch time. :confused3

Glad you're staying tuned!

Hmmm, which princess would I be? That's hard! I would probably look most like Cinderella (I have strawberry blond hair) and I had the step-mother thing going for me during childhood, but I have brownish-green eyes, so that wouldn't look right on her! I love to read like Belle, and have a tendency to try to look for the good in people. And I'm a little like Ariel, too, since she was always looking for something "more". I wonder what all three princess would like like rolled into one! Probably one ugly princess, :rotfl:!!!!!

Good luck with moving in with your parents again. I can imagine that's a hard transition for a parent to make: from being your parent and telling you what to do, to letting you be an adult and making your own decisions. For 18 years they've told you how to run your life and I can imagine that's a hard habit to break!

I hope it works out for you like you want/need it to.

I definitely know what you mean about having different qualities of all the princesses!! I also love to read like Belle and while I am liked, I'm still kind of an outsider because I'm kinda weird. :upsidedow Just like her. And also have that sense of adventure that Ariel does. And I believe in finding true love, just like Cinderella and Snow!! Oh and PS...I just found your tr...sounds like you found your Prince Charming. I got all teary eyed reading about how hard it was for you guys to be apart! I'm still catching up on that!

It might be a little hard to go back in with my parents. I just love having my own space that isn't just my room. That feels so confining and cramped, ya know? Eventually it'll all work out though. I have faith. :goodvibes

Yes, I know what you mean about needing your own "space". I just LOVE my privacy!

I have a friend who just sold her house and she has moved her husband AND her two kids back into her mom's house. Her brother and his wife also live there. There is NO WAY I could do that! Buuuttt, if I had to, then I guess I'd have to make some sacrifices.

I have faith that it will work out for you, too! :thumbsup2

I'm interested to see what my little guy thinks of Bruce and those big teeth. Hopefully he'll think it's cool!

That's so great you got a window seat at the Coral Reef! I bet Landon thought that was awesome. I had the chocolate wave when we ate there last. I think B/F would love that Baileys and Jack Daniel's Mousse!

Love the updates! We ate at Akershus in January and the princesses didn't really spend a lot of time with Madison at all. They signed her book, sounded like they were reading a set script and posed for a picture. That was it, but she didn't notice. Our Belle that day was THE BEST! She told Maddie she would be in France later and when we made our way over there later that day, there she was with the Beast! AND....she remembered Maddie! She asked how breakfast was and was just so sweet. I must say, I think our princesses were very beautiful that morning though.

Landon looks like he truly enjoyed Coral Reef. How awesome! I can't wait to hear about the rest of your day. :goodvibes

I've been reading it but I'm not done yet! But I see what you mean about your DS. Poor guy. And poor momma!! It does get so frustrating, especially when you are doing it on your own. On the plane ride home, Landon was getting fussy and my mom pretty much flat out refused to help me and wouldn't even hold him for a little because she was "tired". I about flipped out. Kids get tired or too excited and just plain misbehave for whatever reason and its enough to drive anyone crazy.

Wow yeah, I think the only reason I'm moving back in is because I don't have a husband!! I would hate that too. Its just going to save me so much money living there though...less rent and I won't have to pay for groceries (except for Landon's stuff, like diapers and what not.) Oh well...you gotta do what you gotta do!

I LOVE that pic of you and Landon with SE in the background.

Ok so we left off with Coral Reef. After that, we headed over to the World Showcase. My dad and I rode Maelstrom. I liked it enough. I wish it could’ve had bigger drops, like Splash though. (I LOVE drops!!)

Landon was a Viking.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030156.jpg

My dad got a beer in Germany and Landon passed out.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030159.jpg

I took this cute pic of my parents.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030162.jpg
(Notice my mad photography skills with the Epcot ball.)

And at some point, I think it was Germany, my mom claims her feet are hurting so bad that she just takes off her shoes. (So gross, I know…but apparently they just hurt that bad that she didn’t even care.) We picked pearls in Japan, which we both liked. (Mine was bigger…I think hers was 6 ¾, and mine was 7 ½.) My dad even got another beer in America. But pretty much, my mom complained. Those pictures are the only ones I have from World Showcase. My mom hardly wanted to look for anything and heaven forbid I want to stop and maybe wait for a character or see when one of the shows going on. They both honestly hated the World Showcase and thought it was one, way too long walk with gift shops themed to countries. We saw none of the entertainment and only went into the Norway, Germany and Japan gift shops.)

As we are towards the end, I want some ice cream and stop to get a “Northern Burst”. I had the worst experience here. There was no line but I think this may have been the longest wait I had for anything because, none of the CM’s knew what was going on. Strangely, the CM who had the “earning my ears” under her name tag knew the most. It took forever for the guy to punch in my order on the screen and then even longer once he found out I was on the Dining Plan and wanted to use a snack credit. I should’ve just walked away. The ice cream was not worth it. I guess it’s supposed to be a McFlurry. It already came out soft enough and was soup before I even took my first bite! I finished maybe a quarter of it (and that was with sharing with everyone.)

Also, as we were sitting and eating, there was this gecko who was just NOT afraid of anyone. These little kids were just sitting there poking it! I’ve never seen that! Usually I see them dart away if anyone tries to get that close!!

Anyway, we had a reservation about 2 hours away at this point at the Rose and Crown. Actually, it was probably less time than that. (And this had been the one my mom may have been looking forward to the most.) And they just did not want to go.

So we went back to Future World and dropped Grammy off at Mouse Gears with Landon so that Pop Pop and I could use the Soarin’ fast passes. We cut through Club Cool and try some of the flavors. We are cutting through different buildings to get out of the muggy heat and see a place where characters are. I think there were Chip and Dale and Belle in her town clothes. We make note of that.

We quickly ride Journey into Imagination with Figment. It’s a walk on, why not? It was okay. I think Figment is super cute but his voice is annoying. The ride would probably scare Landon but my mom might’ve liked it. I liked the Imagination Lab but we didn’t do much except wave our arms around to make him play the instruments lol.

Then we ride Soarin’ again!! This was late in the afternoon at around 3 or 4 and the wait was about 45 minutes for standby if anyone is wondering. We requested front row and got sent to the middle section and got front. Once we sat down, we realized I was in the VERY middle seat. I got the best seat in the house!! Lol! And I loved it once again. It’s so magical.

Then we ran to pick up my mom and she had found a bunch of stuff, including some new shoes. But she was bored and a little mad that we took so long. But Landon had been getting fussy. Poor guy just wanted out of his stroller!!

After buying the stuff for my mom, we went back to where we had seen the characters. (If anyone is wondering, its like the exit or behind the real character spot. The lines for the real one were kinda crazy but there were never more than 2 families here.) My mom sat and rested her feet while we meet them. Only Chip and Dale were there!

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030170.jpg
This was, simply, the BEST character interaction. Notice how Dale is playing peek-a-book with Landon? So cute. Landon actually smiled at him instead of just stared! I think this is what made Landon REALLY open up to the characters for the rest of the trip. I loved them. It was great.

We also sat back there and let Landon crawl around for a while. It was so empty and just carpeted with a few benches, so it was nice. We saw town-clothes Belle walk by and go out somewhere into Epcot. I knew she appears in France, but doesn’t she come out of France for that? This was in the middle of Future World, so I was a little confused! Oh well. It was nice for Landon to get some energy out!

Then we took my mom to Club Cool. She loved it in there. This time, I had the camera and I was determined to get her Beverly face.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030172.jpg
For the record, that is NOT a face of disgust. She didn’t like any of the other ones so far, but with this one, she said HEY! I actually like this one! (The face is her saying hey lol) So crazy. But then she did admit the aftertaste wasn’t the best. Darn. I’ll just have to bring someone else and get them!

Then we were leaving.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030174.jpg
Look how empty it is! This is like 4 in the afternoon!

Now, according to Pop Pop, we couldn’t come to Epcot and not the ride the ride inside of the ball!! So we went on to that. However, apparently Soarin’ terrified my mom and she didn’t trust us anymore and thought we were trying to get her onto a scary, terrifying roller coaster of doom. A CM assured her it was fine and not scary and I don’t think that she even believed the CM until she told her that even Landon could go on it. Lol. She’s funny that way sometimes.

Luckily, we got stuck on this ride and so I was able to ask my parents for the camera. We stuck in the part right before your future with all the twinkly lights! It was kinda cool. And now, put down your drinks so you don’t spray coffee over the keyboard as I present you, mine and Landon’s future!!

Okay, so I don’t know if you found that as funny as I did, but I literally laugh out loud every time I see Landon sitting at the table drinking coffee!! Its great!! Our future was pretty much robots that decide everything for us and then do it for us…for example, it decides what I’m going to wear that way and then even gets me dressed! And our cars are automatic too.

Oh and did I mention that Landon passed out on Spaceship Earth? I think it was while we got stuck. Here are our Photo Pass pics from the way out.

I love that last one. I’m such a goober. This is not the only picture I have of myself pretending to be asleep, I used to do it after like, Homecoming, or something in high school because I thought it would be funny to pretend like I was so tired I couldn’t even change out of my dress. Lol!!

And did you know that baby’s weigh like twice as much when they’re asleep?! It’s pretty crazy, but true!!

And so, my parents (more specifically my mom) requested that we NEVER do Epcot again. And my dad says only Future World if we do. Aye aye aye!! Will one of you take me back to Epcot to experience it the right way?!

Now whatever will we do about our dinner plans?!

I am definitely thinking a Cars theme! That will be great if its cheap!! What kind of things did you do? And how'd he do with it all and the cake and stuff?

I just found the birthday update here is the link

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2034050&page=53

the big cake was from sams club, very cheap, like 35 bucks, it feeds i think about 75-100 people...his personal cakes were made in pan candi has that makes like 2x2 inch cakes...we thought that would be easy and fun for the little kids, the parents loved it said it was so nice for them to have there own cake.

all of the big decoration stuff came in that cars themed party kit from the disney store, originally 40 bucks, on clearance for like 10, with wifes discount when she was working there, we got it for like 5 bucks.

the other party stuff was pretty cheap at walmart.

and the party favors for the kids we got them stuff from the dollar store, and wife sells avon so she got a bunch of kid stuff there for cheap...also i got some of the glow sticks from micheals you get 15 in a tub for 1 dollar, so we gave each kid some of those, the parents loved everything, it was all simple and not expensive.

food wise, i made everything, we had bought ground beef on sale, and froze it then, made homemade sloppy joes, very easy to make and very good...and homemade italian beef....also had some chicken nuggets for the kids...

the sloppy joe reciept is very easy, if you want it.

go ahead and ask with any other questions about his party.

Loved your latest update, as usual. Landon is just too cute in the viking hat.

I have been wanting to ride Maelstrom, but my parents never want to go to WS, so I miss it every time. Next time, you and I can do Epcot together and see it RIGHT. :thumbsup2 Obviously, I haven't experienced Epcot the way it should be experienced, either.

The character pictures are adorable. So glad you got smiles out of Landon.

The Spaceship Earth screen pics are too cute, too. I tried to get pictures of ours, but mine came out all blurry. Good job to get such good and clear ones! :thumbsup2

Glad you got front row center on Soaring. That had to be awesome.

And those pictures of you holding Landon sleeping are just too adorable. And so funny that you pretended to be asleep, too :thumbsup2.

Okay, this post is going to be super small. I apologize. I’ll post a BONUS post of cute pictures of Landon to make up for it. Lol

After we left, we went back into our room at Pop. Landon played with his Tigger we got at the MK.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030186.jpg

On our way back to our room! We discovered our view. At first we only noticed this humongous thing.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030190.jpg

But beyond that…we have a magical view! Its no Magic Kingdom but it is something that I KNOW every single person who loves WDW enough to Dis LOVES!!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030188.jpg
The picture actually makes it look further away than it is! It was so close!

Then we ate dinner at Pop Century. It was nothing special. And I forgot to take food porn pics. I got a hamburger, which was okay. But I’m sure you all know that I just went for the cheese fries! YUM! If I ate those every day for the rest of my life, I would die a happy woman! (Albeit, a fat one!) My dad got okay chicken nuggets and my mom got some kind of oriental food which she loved. (I’m daring enough to try ostrich and what not, but never will I be daring enough to try exotic food from a food court!)

And then…we got Landon’s caricature! SO much fun! I didn’t peek the whole time because I wanted to be surprised. It turned out great and I loved talking to the guy who did it. He even added a “mom” tattoo on the body. HAHAHA…well just look for yourself!
(Sorry it’s sideways. I can’t fix it work, unfortunately!)

I’m beyond happy with it. Its hanging in my living room. I think the guy did a great job! And I love the shark in the back!! It looks just like him!! I’m going to get one every year!

After that, I gave Landon a bath and then we went to bed. We were all exhausted. Would our Animal Kingdom day be any better?!

Oh thank you so much!! His party was huge!! Landon's will probably be a little smaller! I LOVE the kid cakes though. Those cones are perfect! Did they come with the party kit? I love them!! I bookmarked that page and will definitely be using it to get my planning on the road!! Thank you so much!

We will definitely have to do WS together!! And all of Epcot. I think my mom's feet just REALLY hurt and it was the rainiest, muggiest day of the week, so she took it out on poor ol' Epcot!

I didn't post all of my pics from SE! A lot of them came out blurry too! Its hard to get good ones, especially while holding a baby!

I love looking at sleeping children, they just look so peaceful.

Plus, I think its almost funnier when they are so young!

Haha thanks!! I think Landon is so darn cute too! He is so kissable and squeezeable and all that!! I was surprised Landon was so good during his drawing, but I think it helped the artist capture him! It took like a half an hour and Landon sat there smiling and would wave at the guy!

Landon has been speedy with walking! He has been walking since 9 months and now he's not even 11 months yet but definitely walks more than he crawls!! He was a late roller though.

And he gets into everything. He'll just sit by his diaper bag and take everything out, gets into every cupboard, everything!! This weekend, I couldn't find my keys and had to use my spare for my car. But when I had to go back to work I needed my keys to get into my cash bag. My mom and I turned my apartment upside down looking for them and they were in one of the drawers he always gets in to! Good!! Nemo is great!! He'll love Bruce then. And probably the show. We didn't get a chance to see it and I think it may be just like Finding Nemo On Ice, which I saw and loved. Kids would love that! How old is he going to be when you take him?

Is the video uploaded to photobucket? You can copy and paste the link to share, its in the same place as sharing pics from that sight! Then it will just post a pic of the video (like with Landon's ray video) and when people click on that, take them to Photobucket to play the video! Hope that helps! :goodvibes

Oh man, that is too cute!! I can just imagine. Landon is allowed to get into the cabinets with pots and pans and what not, no big deal. But there is one under his sink that has like the trash bags and dish washer detergent and just not stuff I want him playing with and if he sneaks into the kitchen and I go in and he's getting into that cupboard, he always gets so jumpy and gets this look on his face when he knows he's in trouble! Its so cute! I am really loving this age!

Yeah, it's a fun age, for sure. Mitchell's favorite thing to play with when he was small were those plastic mixing spoons. Wherever he went, he always had one of those spoons in his hand. Before long, I gave him his very own drawer filled with plastic bowls and spoons and lids and things. He used to put those bowls on his head and wear it like a hat!

Too funny about Landon getting into stuff and then looking guilty! See? They know right from wrong even at this young age. But he's so cute, I imagine he doesn't get in very much trouble! ;)

Oh thats too cute. Landon loves spoons. He usually doesn't get into too much trouble. But he definitely knows what he's not supposed to do. For example, for some reason he is quite interested in the flusher thing on the toilet and I don't want him to play with that! Ew! But sometimes I'll be getting ready in the morning and he'll be like inching towards it and keep looking at it and I'll just be like "No, Landon" sternly and he'll stop but keep looking between the flusher and me to see if I'm looking! Its funny!

that is not to bad for that, you are right it is funnier when they are little.

very true, parker got some stuff when we went but nothing like what he will get when he knows what everything is.

not sure if it is me or not, but your pics on the last page are not showing u panymore, it says bandwidth exceded, you mihgt have to open a new account and start putting them in there.

Thank you!! And I just realized that!! :scared1: I'm trying to fix it but I'm at work right now and can't. I probably can't until tonight or maybe even tomorrow!! Photobucket is all messed up at work. Its actually blocked but if I go to the site from google I can get to it, but then it doesn't align right and looks all funky and its not letting me do anything!! The horror!! Hopefully I can get it fixed soon!! SORRY EVERYONE!!

:goodvibes

The Nemo show is amazing. I always sit there with my mouth dropped every time we watch it.

No I haven't uploaded the video. I'll have to try that.

I'm a kid at heart too, I've definitely got the "Peter Pan syndrome". And I do still love the Disney channel. (Except for the Jonas Bros show...whats up with that?!)

Ahhh! :scared1: You don't like Jonas? :lmao: I had to interrupt my reading to comment on that. I find that show to be hilarious! Seriously! We also watch Wizards of Waverly Place. I hope that attitude doesn't wear off on anyone in our house. But, she usually turns it around by the end of the show.

Ok, back to reading!

Ok I've only seen like the first two Jonas episodes and now I no longer have tv :scared1: but thats only for another month so I'll give it another try!!

And Alex's attitude is SO horrendous. I don't think I was ever as bad as her, but sometimes I got pretty close!!

I like Hannah Montana and Sonny With a Chance a lot because they are just so silly and always get themselves into such funny little messes and I just wish my life were that random! I also like Suite Life...in the hotel or on deck! I love those boys!!

:goodvibes --Caught up for now!

Let's see if I can remember what I want to say:

Aren't you smart for requesting a window seat at Coral Reef? I wish we had done that! That video of Landon following the ray around was sooo cute! I miss that age, too...

And I loved the "your future" photos! I think some people don't like that part, but I love it. I was :lmao: (probably too loudly) the first time we rode it after the refurb. We liked it before, too, but with that it's just tooooo hilarious. I really laugh so hard I can't catch my breath. But maybe it's just me.

I also loved those pics of you & Landon when he's sleeping. The one of you "sleeping" was great! I can't believe your mom NEVER wants to go back. Shocking! But I can see how being miserable all day would have that effect on someone...but it's still Disney right?!?!?

Yay! I'm finally all caught up... :woohoo:

You've done SUCH a great job! I've loved every installment! :thumbsup2

Let's see...

I just love the pics of you and Landon with the castle on your first MK day (the one where you're looking over your shoulders is my favorite!) :cutie:

You're gorgeous, and Landon is such a handsome little guy!!

Very good Hook and Schmee pic

How awesome that he got his first haircut at Walt Disney World?! That's so special. :goodvibes

AWESOME parade pic of Belle. That dress/float is just gorgeous.

I can't believe Soarin was only a 5 minute wait--I think your wait times were even better than ours! :thumbsup2

Michael had the Mahi at Coral Reef too, and it was DELISH!

The video of Landon with the rays was just too cute. I can't believe he was so fascinated.

I can't believe your family hated the World Showcase! :sad1: I LOVE Epcot. It's probably my second favorite park. Maybe they'd enjoy it more if you did the stuff in Innoventions. We had a lot of fun in there. And the humidity doesn't help at all... Maybe you can convince them for one more try

Landon's Caricature is SOOO cute! It looks just like him. And those muscles...whoo! You'll have to fight the girls off of him! ;)

I'm loving your TR so far!! (as you can see) Can't wait for more!

You should definitely request a window seat next time! It was great!! Although, I think after a while Landon was more entertained with the bread basket than the aquarium. :confused3

And its not just you...I'm definitely a loud laugher and laugh at EVERYTHING! Especially that future. I love that part! I think its the best part of the ride!

Landon's so cute when he's sleeping. I love it! And I'm hoping that she has learned and is just better prepared for walking next time. I bet we can get her back to Future World but probably never WS!

Sonny With a Chance is cute, Hannah Montana, too...I'm glad you are going to give Jonas another chance. :thumbsup2 We don't watch too much Suite Life, but we did watch "Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana" :goodvibes

Oh I wish I had seen Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana!! I just love the Disney channel. My friends are all into the Hills or whatever, and I could care less! Never seen those shows!! I love my Disney! Have you seen the Hannah Montana movie? I liked it but some parts were a little eh.

Thanks!! That pic you mentioned from MK is one of my favorites too!! I just loved walking down Main Street with him!! It was magical.

Our MK day was so good!! I loved his first hair cut. I'm glad our trip was when it was, because I don't think I could've stood it get any longer!

I think that our Epcot day wait times were especially good because that was the rainiest day!

I'm glad Michael got the Mahi Mahi! (Oh that just reminds me, I have to PM you about something SPECTACULAR!) I can't wait to see how your experience was there!

Landon was so fascinated with the rays!! He's such a curious kid and has SUCH good focus!!

Does Innovations have different times than the rest of Future World? We went in there in the morning and none of the things we wanted to do were open yet and then we just never went back? Perhaps we'll do that more next time though!

I thought the muscles pic would be the best out of the choices. And if you see, there's a shark in the background. In the original (they just have a bunch of scenes and you pick one!), there was a bikini girl and the guy asked me if I wanted a shark or bikini girl and I thought a shark would be cooler because its a shark! And also more appropriate at his age!! But I know I'm going to have to fight them off!! He's such a charmer!!

So we wake up Sunday for Animal Kingdom day!! Yay!! We get to the park an hour before opening again.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030192.jpg
Can you tell how tired we are?

I took advantage of some Photo Pass guys on the way in! I’m glad they have them in the park before it opens for us early ADR folk!
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image078.jpg
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image084.jpg
I tried to hold Landon the same way she would hold Simba! Lol!
And this one cracks me up! Its one of my favs!
http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv112/momma_kimmy2/Image080.jpg
Its our fierce, jungle cat pose. I had to hold Landon’s arm up! Lol

And then we headed over to Tusker House for Donald’s Safari Breakfast. My parents were swooning over the jungley themeing. They just loved it and thought it was so neat!! We got to the area where they take your picture quickly, but for some reason the stuff from the check in desk wasn’t getting sent up to the seating desk so we had to wait for them to figure that out. It took maybe 5 minutes and then we were on our merry way.

Once we sat down, our server was there quickly and I ordered some jungle juice and then hurried to get my food. There was really no need for that, because the characters took a while to get to us. Here’s my plate:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030195.jpg
Eggs, bacon, grapes, cinnamon roll. I think I went back but I didn’t take pics of every plate. It was all quite good. And please note, that is less bacon than it looks like! It’s folded over! Also, right before I got it, this kid seriously cut in line in front of me chanting about how he needed bacon! It was hilarious enough to overlook the rudeness! Haha!

I think they even did the parade/dance thing before the characters got to us. When they finally did, first was Daisy!!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030198.jpg
(Look how tired poor Landon looks!)

Then Goofy!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030200.jpg
I really love this pic! It’s so cute!

Next the big cheese himself came over! Here he is with my mom!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030202.jpg
He gave her a kiss and she was going nuts and it totally made her day. She was saying “Okay, I got my kiss from Mickey, we can go home now!” And she kept telling my dad that he kissed her. It was funny.

Here is Landon with him!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030205.jpg
He really liked his nose! In fact, we couldn’t even get a picture with him looking or even kinda facing the camera because he kept touching his nose! Still cute!

And here we are with the breakfast host…DONALD!!!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030207.jpg
We couldn’t get one with him facing the camera either here, because he kept waving at Donald! It melts my heart, he just started really waving on this trip and its so cute!

We all enjoyed this breakfast so much! It was so fun and the character interaction was GREAT!! But we were ready to ride some rides!!

Will Landon fall asleep on anymore? How will my moms feet be today? Will my dad and I survive our run-in’s with the yeti or dinosaurs?! Stay tuned to find out!

OK--so here are my favorites:

The video of Landon walking back and forth to follow the ray. So precious! I could watch that over and over.

The caricature of Landon is wonderful! And it reminds me of our trip with DD and DS many years ago, when we also had caricatures done--we framed them and still have them!

The photo of your mom holding Simba and you holding Landon :goodvibes

The bacon wasn't bad!!

I can remember at least one breakfast buffet (out of 4!) has biscuits and gravy but can't remember which one or if more did! I'm so sorry!!

How do you make your ones?! Now you've got me wanting some....

they are very easy to make, i use to use bob evans sausage, one regular(white tube) and one hot (red tube) brown that up together, then once it is cooked draine off the fat, add about 3-4 tablespoons of flour to the cooked sausage and while it is still on the heat, stir the flour into sausage so it all desolves, (that is what will make the gravy nice and thick and not clumpy if you were to add the flour later in the cooking.

then once the flour is all cooked in about 30 seconds to 1 minute after you add it, pour milk in the pan till it covers the sausage, the more milk the thinner it will be...dont be scared if you think you add to much milk, it will thicken up as it cooks, stir so it does not stick and burn once it is getting thicker

now i get my pork from a farmer, and have them add an amish seasoning blend to the ground pork sausage, so i dont use bob evans anymore, but thta is still a very good and easy reciepe i gave you above, the hot does not make it too spicy but anice heat...if you dont like spicey at all, then dont add the hot package, just use to regular.

i have a feeling you will be making it this weekend now that i got you hungry.
:lmao:

i made some last weekend.

the reason i say mine is better, is cause it seems everytime you get it at a restaurant they make theres too thin, to stretch it out farther, this one turns out thick with lots of meat.

So after our delicious breakfast, we go on a good ol’ Kilimanjaro Safari!! The wait is maybe 5 minutes.

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030209.jpg
Landon really liked the bolts on the vehicle.

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030222.jpg
This giraffe crossed the street right behind us.

Not even halfway through the ride, look who passed out!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030227.jpg
The safari must’ve rocked him to sleep! He didn’t even wake up as we went over the extra bumpy parts!

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030230.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030241.jpg
Can you guys see the big lion?!

Then we passed this guy:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030243.jpg
My mom yelled at him “LOOK OUT!! KIMMY’S GOING TO EAT YOU!!” I can’t help that ostrich is delicious! I told her that I was going to have to start screaming at cows that she was going to eat them, if she felt like alerting the ostriches.

Then after that, we trekked over to Expedition Everest!! I had been so excited for this ride!! And it did not disappoint!! I’m “one of those people” on roller coasters. You know the kind…screaming with my hands in the air the whole time!! I just love it. Such a rush! Especially the going backwards!! I was sad though…I didn’t even see the yeti! Just the projection of his shadow or whatever. Oooooh scary. Not. Lol! Oh well!!

Then we grabbed fast passes. I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted one of those cute little furry yeti’s but we just decided we’d buy it when we came back to use the Fast Passes. So we headed over to Dinoland to ride Dinosaur!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030246.jpg

Ok…here are my real honest thoughts. I thought this queue was great. I was so excited. I was ready to be terrified as I read that many people are on the Dis. I love dinosaurs, even scary ones! I love all the Jurassic Park movies! And frankly, I was not scared once on this. This ride was so slow but short and just not scary to me. They could’ve done so much more with this ride!! Maybe I had just hyped it up too much in my head?
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030247.jpg

After that, we went and rode Primevral Whirl (sp?!). This was the LONGEST wait of our entire trip. Probably about 15 minutes. We just wanted to see it. It looked like it could be fun. And it was okay…just not worth that wait! I wish it had spun you like crazy the whole time!

We meet back up with my mom and Landon. They got a drink and are sitting at a table. And then…my mom claims that her feet hurt. Again. Even with her new shoes. My dad was NOT happy. He told her no. She pouted. And then we went to Camp Mickey Minnie!!

I love these:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030249.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030250.jpg

My parents and Landon got in line for Festival of the Lion King, while I saw the bears from Brother Bear come out!! I went to go meet them!! (They didn’t have a line, they were just getting into mischief!)
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030254.jpg
(I have a video of this that I’ll upload later!)

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030253.jpg
Aw!! Me and Koda! I LOVE this picture!!

Then I went and got some waters, a Mickey ice cream bar for my mom and a frozen strawberry thing. I shared my frozen strawberry thing with Landon a little! He was also drinking some of the water! The little guy was thirsty and drinking just fine from the bottle but then my dad got this bright idea to make the lid a little cup for Landon. It was so cute how proud my dad was of that. Lol.

We got in and we were in the LION section! YAY! That is great, especially for my mom. The Lion King is her favorite movie after all. Here are some pics from the show!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030256.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030262.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030269.jpg
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030274.jpg

Though Landon would sometimes watch the show, he pretty much just stared at that giant Pumbaa the whole time! It was just to the left of us. He was so interested in it!! It was funny.

Now we had been planning on having either the Picnic in the Park or Flame Tree Barbeque for lunch. Except when we got out, it was pouring! And my mom’s feet were still hurting.

I was going to go back to the character trails, but they left almost as soon as we got in line due to lightning in the area.

My parents didn’t want to walk back to Asia just to use our EE fast passes. Sadly. I say just because we all forgot about my yeti. Had any of us remembered, we would’ve gone back to ride and get that. So we left.

But now what we would do?!

You got to see some great animals on your safari! Too funny how your mom yelled out to the ostrich. I love how babies can sleep almost anywhere. :cloud9:

I liked EE pretty good. Not my favorite, but I'd ride it as often as anyone wanted to. Dinosaur, same. I liked it, too, but a little rough for me! Mitchell keeps talking about the Dinosaur ride and how he wants to go again. Primevil Whirl - one of my faves! :thumbsup2

Festival of the Lion King - I liked it okay. it was a little long for me. It was good and I felt like I was watching something from Broadway or something, but I got bored with it before it was over. I know, I know - putting my flame suit on! :rotfl:

Our safari was great!! Don't you wish you could just sleep anywhere?! And be carried all the time...haha!

Dinosaur was rough!! I wish they could add some more stuff to get my adrenaline pumping and not make it so rough! Maybe the rocky terain makes it seem scarier for some people? To me, it was just like an insanely bumpy ride with huge animatronics. I wanted to be scared!! (I think I may be an adrenaline junkie!)

I know what you mean about FOTLK! It was kinda long, but still good.

I love Koda!! SO cute!! We're good friends now.

Another awesome update. I have a picture of our son when he was just 1 year old asleep on the safari too. Kids can sleep anywhere!

When we rode Primeval Whirl, we spun a lot. :confused3 I hate that you were a bit disappointed with Dinosaur. We have never really been scared on it but we like to act like it so our picture turns out funny.;)

I wish Primeval Whirl had spun a lot!! Isn't that one of the rides thats not actually made by Disney? I don't remember!!
I didn't even know when they took the pic on Dinosaur!! I think I just really hyped myself up after reading reports of people thinking it was scary!

When we left Animal Kingdom, we went over to Animal Kingdom Lodge to have lunch at the Mara. I truly only had one intention here:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030279.jpg
ZEBRA DOMES!! I don’t even remember what the rest of my meal was. These were SO delicious though! I should’ve eaten less of my meal and more of these because they were SO GOOD and I couldn't even finish them all!!

Then we trekked outside of the World to Walmart. My dad absolutely refused to get my mom another pair of flip flops that would inevitably end up hurting her feet somehow again. So we went and got her some nice, supportive sneakers. The rest of the trip (and to this day) we called them her “magic shoes”.

After that we went back and rested in our room. My parents napped. I don’t remember if Landon did or not…but I couldn’t. So I watched Homeward Bound. Lol. My brother and I used to love that movie when we were little.

Also, before we left for the night’s festivities, we got to see the Broncos win!! Yay!! So awesome!!

And here is where our SUPER fun spontaneous event comes in. If you read my ptr, tonight was the night to go to Artist Point. However, my parents weren’t really feeling it! So I scheduled us for Hoop-Dee-Doo!! (I had actually tried for the luau, but the only nights we could they either weren’t performing or they didn’t have any availability.)

I think we got tier 2 seating for anyone who is wondering. I didn’t even ask for anything, that’s just what they gave us on the Dining Plan. Honestly, I didn’t even know the differences when I called because I hadn’t researched this! Our table was on the floor, about midway back. Here’s some pics:

Landon loved the corn bread.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030282.jpg

My dad loved that they had bottomless beer and just brought him a pitcher.
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030288.jpg

Landon just loved the atmosphere. He got so excited and would clap and cheer with everyone. I’ll post a video of it this weekend!

http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030287.jpg

The food was delicious! It wasn’t anything high class but it was still satisfying and so good!
Ribs!

Mashed potatoes!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030293.jpg

It was mostly divine! The beans weren’t the best, but I loved the rest!! For some reason, I didn’t take dessert pics but it was strawberry shortcake which was also pretty good. We didn’t eat most of it though because we were stuffed!!

These people looked for all the couples celebrating anniversaries!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030302.jpg

My parents didn’t want me to alert them but I did!! It was their 25th this year!! They went to Disneyland for their honeymoon and is one of our reasons for going to WDW this year! And then they had to dance!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030297.jpg
Can you tell my dad had bottomless beer?! HAHAHA!! This cracks me up…luckily he doesn’t Dis!!

Of course, there was some of that infamous WDW napkin twirling!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030305.jpg

My favorite part was how much Landon enjoyed it. He feeds very well off of high crowd energy and excitement. It was the cutest thing ever. Here he is waving to me:
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030300.jpg

Then I captured this picture, which has become one of my favorites because of his expression!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030299.jpg

This was just such a good time. Landon made friends with the lady sitting behind us. (Of course!) She was a grandma there with her 4 grandkids and she just adored Landon.

After the show, someone came up to me and told me what a good daughter I was for letting them know it was my parent’s anniversary. Hehe. And then we put one of those Davy Crockett hats on Landon. I think my dad got that picture on his phone so I’ll try to put it up when I get the video this weekend!

Our bus ride back was even with these 2 cute little kids who were in the show! My parents just loved this show. We all had such a good time!!

After the show, it wasn’t too late so my dad watched football and Grammy and I took Landon swimming. Check out the Broncos bikini! Lol!
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030309.jpg

Swimming was so nice and relaxing! Landon had a good time splashing and watching the kids! He loves going swimming!!

After that we showered and got our jammies on and crawled into bed for a good night’s sleep! (I don’t know if I mentioned it, but I just put a bedrail on one side and had Landon sleep with me. I didn’t want to try to fit a pack n play in there!)
http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w322/momma_kimmy/disney%20world/P1030320.jpg

Would our great night be followed by a great day in DHS?! Stay tuned to find out!

Landon looks so adorable and like he's having the time of his life. I need to find some pictures of my little guy when he was Landon's age. Their eyes TOTALLY are the same, big and round and BROWN. I'll see what I can come up with and you can help me compare. Probably won't be until this weekend, tho, b/c his baby pics are all at home.

Too funny, the one with your mom and dad dancing. Isn't that sweet???

Hey there! I am going back to read the rest of your TR but I just wanted to let you know that I do plan events in my job. I work for a family foundation in our town that benefits children's medical research. I would perhaps look for that angle; some of the larger companies and/or their CEOs have foundations where they gift money each year - I would look into that.

Back to reading! Great job so far!

The Mara! :dance3: Love that place. It's a nice change of choices for a CS place.

The Hoop-Dee-Doo! Thanks for the pics. We haven't been there in forever, and I've been missing it! Haha, Landon loved the corn bread. I'm sure my little guy would love it too. That's so great he had such a great time. :goodvibes

I love that pic of him with his bottle, or as my little guy calls it (ba). That look they give you just makes you want to cuddle with them. :goodvibes

Mara really is great! It was nice looking around AKL too!!

Hoop-Dee-Doo was so great!! Especially for Landon! I loved watching him light up!

Aw, they really are so cute with their bottles! Landon doesn't call it anything (yet) but he starts laughing and gets all excited when he sees it! :goodvibes

I've always wondered about the hoop dee doo. Looks like a wonderful time was had by all! Man, that food looked sooooo good! If I could only pluck it off of my screen...but then I'd blow my whole diet, so I guess it's for the best! :goodvibes (am starting to lose weight, so well worth STARVING! :thumbsup2)

The swimming pics are cute, too. Looks like you're gonna have yourself a water baby! :cool1:

You should definitely try to get to Hoop-Dee-Doo next time! It was probably our best dinner!! It was really good food too!

Don't those big, round, brown eyes melt your heart? I would love to see pics of Mitchell at that age! I love this age...its so amazing!! He's definitely a water baby!

My parents did end up having fun dancing! Good thing I made them!

Oh my goodness - Zebra Domes! Little slices of heaven on a place!

The Hoop De Doo looks like an absolute blast! Yay for unlimited beer for your Dad... hahahaha! Landon definitely looks like he was enjoying himself there as well! :goodvibes

Don't you just love night time swimming? It's so relaxing!

I wish I had some Zebra Domes right now! And I wish they lasted longer and weren't so melty. I about cried having to throw some out. (I actually took them back to my room and put them on ice lol.

I love Hoop Dee Doo!! We all did!

Night time swimming was awesome! A great way to end the day!

You had some majorly cute pictures of Landon in that last update. Hoop De Doo sounds like a really fun show, I don't know if the family will ever be convinced to go though.

Thanks!

I didn't think me or my family would like it! My parents actually thought I was making up the name (because in The Tigger Movie he has this special bounce that begins with hoop dee doo) and didn't know where we were going!

Well, my degree is in English Lit. I got this job b/c I had been working for the company for about a year in another department, and knew they had an opening in the family foundation. So I asked about it, interviewed and here I am! :thumbsup2 It's very fulfilling and a lot of fun. We just had our largest fundraiser of the year last weekend, so this weekend I am planning on taking it easy at home! popcorn::

I'm with you on your parents' anniversary--I mean, how could you go to HDDR and not recognize them on the 25th! :confused3 It sure looks like everyone had a good time. And your seating was great--I made our Category 2 ADR 89 days out and we were seated upstairs. The whole experience was really fun, tho'--would recommend it to anyone with a sense of humor (and whoever doesn't have one probably isn't at WDW anyway) :rotfl:

I have just got caught up with your trip report and wanted to let you know how much I've enjoyed it!

I'm sure I'm not the first to say how totally adorable Landon is - and so good natured too! Must be because you and your parents seem so laid back too!

The food reviews are great! I loved reading about the California Grill and all the other places you went to - it's making me hungry!!

Can't wait to read more!:surfweb:

The two videos you posted are so cute. Sound is not needed for these, that's for sure!

I uploaded some pics of Mitchell this morning from when he was 9-10 months old. I did not have time to get them on Photobucket, however. I will get to it tomorrow morning, maybe. Hopefully tonight, but I'm taking a knitting class, believe it or not! I want to learn how to make scarves. So I probably won't have time.

It was almost painful to look back on those pictures of when he was so little. It seems like just yesterday, but it was actually 4 YEARS ago! Time flies so fast.

Have a great day! Looking forward to another update soon.

Thanks!! Aw I would love to see those pictures!! I already can't believe how much Landon is grown and how different he looks...it blows my mind. I remember when he used to fit in his swing and all sorts of stuff like that and now he's WALKING and its just crazy...it flies by faster than I could ever imagine!! Everyone tells every pregnant woman that'll happen, but I don't think anyone could ever understand until it happens!!

I'll update soon. :goodvibes

Yay! What great updates!

I love that your mom yelled at the ostrich--that is hilarious! :rotfl: We didn't see the Yeti either...maybe we were sitting in the wrong part or something. Who knows. I saw it last trip. Oh--and I have to tell you. We think you're CRAZY for wanting Primevil Whirl to spin more!!!! :scared1: We didn't ride it because of how much it did spin! :upsidedow I love the HDDR pics. We might look into trying it next time. Who knows. And the video of Landon at HDDR is SOOOO cute! :goodvibes

Enjoying your trip report. Sorry to comment on something a few days old, but I just had to say that I recently posted the exact same thing on my trip report -- I didn't see the yeti on my first ride on Expedition Everest! I was like, "wait a second, where was the yeti?" I took a little bit of (friendly) grief over it from DISers posting in reply.

Also, the furry yeti's will make an appearance in the next installment of my TR.

My mom is funny. I wonder if we were sitting on the wrong part? I was so disappointed!!
I may be crazy for wanting it to spin more. It only spun like crazy during one little section. But I'm also a huge adrenaline junkie!! I love drops and fast spins and going upside and all that. :upsidedow
You should totally try HDDR!! I bet you guys would like it...its silly and cute and just fun!

Hey guys!! I'm sorry I haven't updated lately!! Life has been so crazy!! I had the best weekend though. I saw Toy Story 1&2 in 3-D, which was awesome and then my Broncos won!! It was great. I'll have an update for you tomorrow, I was just actually semi-busy at work today and also wanted to catch up on everyone's TR's!! I hope you all had a good weekend too!
