Hi there.. I'll try to keep it brief. This was our 4th Disney cruise, and it was the best yet!

Highlights:
The weather was AWESOME. No hurricanes or tropical storms in sight. We spent HOURS every day in the water.

Cabbage Beach: On Nassau day, we decided to try out Cabbage Beach. $4 per person cab fare, each way. It was worth it! The public access is only about 1/2 mile east of Atlantis, so you're not very far from "civilization".
The water was incredibly warm and clear. We played in the water and talked with the local vendors. Some of the locals were "rough around the edges" but they all were nice and had a story to share. We didn't bring enough cash to try the jet-skis or anything, but the "banana boat" guy let my wife and son take a ride for "half price". There was even a local wedding taking place, right on the beach. We stayed from about 10:30am to 4pm. We're definitely going back, next cruise.

Castaway Cay: Our 7-yr old son felt brave enough to try the snorkeling... he did great! He made it all the way out to the sunken Mickey, and back. What a great, special memory for him. We spent the entire day at the family beach, didn't venture off to ride the bikes or explore the rest of the island.

The service and food aboard the ship were on par with our other cruises. We were happy with everything.

We already booked our next cruise -- we'll be back aboard the Wonder on Jan 21st, 2010! Can't wait!

Hello!
I was reading your thread and looking at your pictures. What is up with the water slide at Castaway Cay? is this something new? We have never done a disney cruise before!

Yes, the waterslide is a new attraction being installed at Castaway Cay -- it got delivered to Castaway Cay on Sept 19th. Officially, it is supposed to be open by next summer... but the Disney people I spoke to on the island told me that they are being trained/prepped to have it operational by the end of the year.

There is a thread here:

Hi there. I'm so glad you all enjoyed your cruise. It was perfect weather. We might have to try one of the Nassau beaches next time, because we also spent the day at the Family Beach on CC and loved it.

Nice pictures!

I'm jealous that you're already booked for another cruise :)
