Please tell me this can be done....

DH had to take a week off for his father's funeral and he used up the week he was taking off for discon, that would leave me going with the family during the day and going out at nights with my buddies but now he's not going , so it will be my two girls and I, I don't plan on paying for the official discon if it's the three of us because personally in my case it would be a waste, I wouldn't be able to enjoy it but I really want to go, I don't have anyone to leave my kids with if I go alone and dh cannot take off from work. Please tell me I can still take the trip with my kids , not do the official discon part but still have fun WITH kids included, anyone has any suggestions?

Fairy Godmothers! This service is a blessing...my kids love them. They will sit in-room or take the girls out to wherever you wish. A bit apprehensive when I first tried them, as any mother would be...I now have complete faith in them.

You could enjoy a lot of the mini meets with the kids. When the list is posted you will be able to take a look and see how many you think you would be able to attend.

We will not be doing any DISCON events either(I have 2 little girls also), but we plan on doing quite a few mini meets..:D

I don't know how old you DD's are, but if they are old enough, you might want to think about 1 of the many "kids clubs" available during the evening hours. My DS loved them (and they give Mom a pager "just in case", and that brings an extra sense of peace of mind).

Mskanga, you'll be just fine. :D During the day there will be plenty of things to keep you all busy--mini meets wise. :)

And at night, you can use one of the sitters and join us for a while. :) I'm glad you're still considering coming because it's going to be fun, fun, fun! :bounce:

well, this seems to be getting interesting...now it turns out that dh wants to come so he will take two days off , we will fly on the 4th getting there sometime during the day, then flying back on sunday the 8th. I honestly would rather have him come too because I don't have to worry at nights with the kids but he's not much of an amusement park person, that's why my girls and I are usually alone without him, he may come along for a couple of hours, that's all he can handle.
Will someone please make up his mind??? I know WE the women are going, by the way the girls are 9 and 5 yrs old.
