Morning all,

after a few years of saving up BA airmiles we've decided to splash out on business class seats with BA (Club World). Looking at them there are some facing backwards and some facing forwards.

We were just wondering if anyone had flown before and what seat combination they would recommend?

Many thanks

You can't choose your seat until 24 hours before the flight as I recall.

As ex RAF I like flying backwards, as all RAF transport planes were set up that way (Safer in crashes it seems) :goodvibes

the only thing with BA flights is that you don't get all seat access to the aisle, and have to climb over your fellow pax to get out.

On the 777 I would chooise for just two of you rows 2-4 Ab or JK, more select cabin

Ive flown BA business class many times with work. The big issue is you have to climb over the person next to you if they have the seat fully reclined if you have a window seat or the middle seats. There are some exceptions to this. If there are two of you go for the two middle seats nearest the back of the plane, you dont need to climb over anyone to get in an out but you dont get a window seat.

If your a frequent flyer silver card member you can book your seats online before the 24 hour limit

We flew to New York recently and we had the middle two backward facing seats in the last row. We thought it was fantastic - when you put the screens up it was like having a cabin to yourself. If I was travelling alone I wouldn't book one of the middle seats as you have no privacy from the person next to you.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm keen to try flying backwards but not sure if my wife will like it!

Hi - Seatguru.com has the full layout and rates each seat and pair of seats so you can see where you'll be seated when you "turn left" on the plane.

Enjoy the trip!

There's only one RAF Regiment, and I'm the wrong gender for that.
I kept my feet firmly on the ground, as a WRAF Typist.
