So Much To Celebrate!!!...Sept 19th to 26th Trip!!! LIVE!!!!

OK, I'm not going to be able to do any pics til I get home, but I'll try to give some live stuff here...

Got in to AKL/AKV in good time. Landed at just before 11, in and checked in to AKL by 12, headed to DTD.

First, HOT and MUGGY, in the middle of the afternoon, anyway.

Second, AKL is AWESOME!!!!!

I love the lobby, the cast members have been great so far. Room wasn't ready (didn't expect it to be) and so we went to DTD to eat at T-Rex. Bus came quick, but it seemed to take a while to get there.

T-Rex was pretty good. The dinosaurs were really cool. Food took a little while, but was good. We got the sampler, ribs, and kids pizza. Brought half the pizza and ribs home.

Finally got back to AKL around 430. Got room number, went to room, LOVED IT!!!!!!

Got settled in, wife went down to get mugs, went to market place to get a couple things we forgot, and a movie for son.

Seen 5 animals so far, really happy with that.

Overall, so far, so good!

Friends just called, on ME bus, so we are going out to walk around and check out place and get food.

Yes, we have a savanah veiw. worth every point and/or penny to get it!!!

Started the day with breakfast at Boma's. We had a 730 ADR, got there 10 minutes early,, first ones in the place. Food not bad. Didn't care for the bacon, though. It wan;t too busy. Off to DHS as soon as wife gets back. Check back later to let you know how the crowds are.

What savanna view do you have? Just wondering because I am staying at AKV Jambo House and not sure if I should request a certain one or just wait and be surprised..Loving the live reports...thanks!

Really enjoying the live report! Can't wait to see pics of your room & view. I also visited AKL last December and was awestruck at the beautiful lobby :lovestruc We are planning a trip in 2010 for the first week in December & am contemplating a split stay (we're staying 7 days) at BWV and either BCV or AKL. Have to put it to a vote with the kids (DS31, DS22 & DS16 would love AKL and me & DD vote for BCV).

OK, have a few minutes here. I noticed I said DBS, meant DHS.

Let's see. Haven't kept up because I ma having issues with my iPhone and the network around here. It keeps dying, and it keeps dropping the network.

Good things - food has been really good, cast members good, crowds seem to be low (to me, anyway). Magic Kingdom was a lot of fun, dessert party, SSSSOOOOO worth it! MNSSHP fantastic! I'll be more specific when I get back.

Bad things - buses from AKL - not sure where every 20 minutes comes from, but it never is near me! Animal Kingdom this morning was a little rough, the kiosks weren't open, and needed water. Humidity and heat - bad for this time of year!!!

But, overall, great time. I came back to room early today, didn't feel good. Getting rest so we can get to Le Cellier!

Oh, and I have started collecting Disney Pins!

Small update. We are in Epcot, came to Tokyo Dining for sushi, and found out that some of the F&W kiosks are open for soft openings! Score!!!!!

I was there the same week! I kept having issues with my iPhone as well!!! we had a great time! At least you both got sick after the trip. I was sick during mine!!! No fun, but pushed through it!

I seemed to have the most issues with my iPhone at AKL. Not sure what was wrong. We started to get sick during the week, but we held the worst part off 'til we got home...

I was planning on starting on starting stuff today, but...

1) I still feel like crap

2) Had to go to the dentist this morning

3) Let's say this vacations, while nice, came with a price, and I am still paying.

I'll try to start updating tomorrow, but let's see if I can throw a few things out there...

Not very crowded, wait times not bad, REALLY HOT and HUMID for September, MNSSHP - AWESOME! Food, really good!

I am surprised to hear the buses at AKL weren't good! It also makes me nervous for December. AKL traditionally has some of the best bus service....

I'm sorry I haven't started my TR yet. I have been dealing with some personal and health issues, and have not been in the right mind to do this yet. I will soon, maybe end of this week or early next. I need to start soon, or I'll forget everything...
