Resale question

We are closing today on a resale at Vero Beach. I know it might take 4-6 weeks before we get our deed. Does anyone know how long it might take before we show up as DVC members for reservation purposes? (when we are "in the system") Thanks for any info.

It usually takes about a week. I'd call this Friday to see if it possibly makes it in that soon and ask MS to give you an approximate date to call again if you're not already there.

Doc is correct, Mary.
Depending on your closing agency, they should fax the deed to Disney as soon as it is recorded. Usually, one week to ten days after closing you are in their system.
You can call daily, if you would like, to find out if the administrators have added you yet.

Thanks for the info. I won't feel at ease until I know I am in the system! I know someone on this board said buying through resale will be the longest two months of their life. I agree! :D

I closed on a resale on a Friday, and was able to make reservations the next Wednesday. Not sure how long it takes to get the "welcome kit" from Disney? Does anyone know ?

Be patient for the welcome kit, as it may take a few weeks, but it will come eventually.
