:D
Our travel agent scored BIG upgrade from CR standard garden wing room to GF lagooon view room for only $18 extra per night.
Couldn't pass it up!
??? have a 41/2yr DD and 8yr DS.
Is this going to be too "formal" for them? Also DH is shorts and t shirt or polo shirt guy...will he be underdressed.. DO NOT plan on going to Victoria and Alberts thanks:cool:

Everyone's always afraid to stay at the GF for fear of it being to fancy or stuffy. IT ISN'T!
It's a beautiful resort (we stayed there last year) and it's my absolute favorite now. We all loved it and I have 2 DD's ages 5 and 2.
You will be very comfortable and relaxed there and you can beat the atmosphere and location!
Congrats on your great rate!!!
Wow, that's an incredible upgrade! I'd definitely jump on that one. I've never stayed at GF, but have been there several times. I think it's fine for kids, afterall it's Walt Disney World!
Have fun!

GF is a perfect resort for families! :D In fact, most people I've seen while staying there DO have children. It is Disney World after all! LOL :D We are very casual dressers and have always felt right at home at the GF.
Have a great time! Don't worry for one second... You are going to love it! :D

The place is beautiful, but it ain't stuffy. It's very child-friendly, and they don't mind a bit if you jump on the sofas or flop in the chairs or put your feet up on the coffee table in the lobby.
At times, with the soaring ceiling and the clomping of tiny feet running around, the lobby area can sound like a ZOO. But what a zoo! :smooth:
Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfy, and no one will give you a dirty look if you don't raise your pinky during high tea. Relax and enjoy. You will feel pampered!!

Wow! What a great upgrade!
You'll all be fine in shorts and polo or t-shirts. (just as long as "everyone is neat and pretty" per the Big Cheese). You might be more likely to run into other guests at the GF with, um, a "heightened sense of self". But don't let them make you uncomfortable because you are not "formal" enough.
If your husband is like me, I wear a t-shrt during the day and then change into a shirt with a collar (polo or golf shirt) for dinner / evening. (My wife always comments on my packing too many shirts - but that nice, dry, clean shirt is what I like.)
Have a great time!
