Hey DeniseNH,

I booked this morning for labor day weekend after finding this fare!! I've been watching for it for a while... I've been kicking myself because I didn't book using the Friends Fly Free promo, I wasn't going to miss this one!! We're going to the airport this afternoon to trade in our Hershey's Certificates.

We're also going in November, but I needed the quick trip....

I knew it chris1gill!! I just knew it! I was positive that I would see you post that you are going to Florida AGAIN! LOL!!
We are still undecided about a summer or beginning of fall trip having just sank a bunch of money into some beautiful furniture........I was just a click away from booking an August flight though! Oh well, I can sit in my new chair and think about wallpaper instead

oh...maybe we'll do a quick trip too..... ;)
Have fun!

Does anyone know when the SWA specials will come out for October? I was all excited when I saw the FL specials, but it's for travel through Sept. Ugh.

kgkmom, I echo your felling. We want to go in November and I was thrilled to see the specials but then couldn't understand why I couldn't pull up those rates. It wasnt' until I was actually on hte phone with SWA scrolling through th information that I saw the date restriction. What a bummer! On a side not, I checked my email from last year and it was 7/17 when they came out with the special that we used to fly last Dec. So keep your fingers crossed.

Rpsemont-thanks for the head's up! I spoke with Southwest yesterday, and the customer service person had no idea about the internet rates-she was floored! She did say that Southwest posts their new rates on Tuesday mornings. Next Tuesday is 7/16, so that corresponds with your 7/17 from last year.

Keeping my fingers crossed for that $98 round trip from Providence! We've got 8 tickets to buy!

Thanks, again!

Sarah

If you can get ten people to go you can get group rates.

Hey DeniseNH,

Well, if you can't go, just remember that new furniture will last a lot longer than a weekend or week long trip, little consolation I know!! I suspect we'll have a good time & it will be a treat to fly out of Manchester this time around, we've been going out of Hartford the last bunch of trips... Good luck in NOT hitting that submit button!!!

i didn't know about group rates!!! we have 11 of us going down out of providence in january.

does anyone know if it would be cheaper to book a group rate or wait for the internet specials? the link gail posted says i can book up to 12 months in advance with a group, which would guarantee us all a seat on the same flight, but i'm looking to get rock bottom prices ($49 each way would be nice)

well, i had a minute here at work so i called SW myself about the group rates. they gave me a rate of $243 per person rt from pvd to mco on my dates (jan 18-25)
they will hold them for a month without a deposit......i think i'll take my chances and wait. i don't think i've ever paid more than $200 for a florida flight (last year we paid $110pp inc. taxes!)

am i being stupid by waiting for the internet fares to come out for my dates?

Yes, chris1gill...I keep saying that to myself. I spent a fortune on lamps (TIFFANY!!!) today so any trip before February is simply out of the question.... I envy those folks that are going away soon!
I am on the "waiting for fares to come out" list.....for the end of February. :(
To everyone able to take advantage of this SWA promo...LUCKY YOU!! ;) Have fun! Think of me while you're having fun!!

I'll be thinking of you & your Tiffany lamps DeniseNH!!! You'll be waiting for those February fares for quite a while yet to come unfortunately....

I saw the $49 each way fare from Bradley to MCO, but are there any extra fees that would make it higher?

denisenh
07-13-2002, 09:20 AM
taxes and fees bring a non stop $49. each way fare from BDL to MCO to about $116.00 round trip....not bad at all! ;)

Actually, I just looked it up...... the base fare is $45.58 each way, the US tax is $6.42 each way, the PFC and Security is $7.00 down, $5.50 back. Sub total $59.00 BDL to MCO, $57.50 MCO to BDL TOTAL fare for RT non stop = $116.50
