We got BLT!!!

I'm so excited! I called 7 months out, and we were able to switch our spring break trip over to BLT, Bay Lake View!!!!!! :banana::banana::banana:

I mean, I am excited b/c I LOVE MK and monorails, but I'm just pumped b/c my DH wanted to stay there soooooooooo bad, so I'm so happy for him. Plus, our DD's fave rides are Dumbo, Aladdin, and the Carousel, so that'll mean more trips on those this time (hopefully not too many on the Carousel, I get so dizzy!). :rotfl2:

Has anyone stayed there yet and have some advice/stories for me?

have not stayed there yet - but will a week from tomorrow.

that say visited it - it is nice.

since there is just 3 of you - one of the problems was not closet in the livingroom area - but that is okay if your child stays there. there is a kind of a closet in the laundry room.

the whirlpool tub is faced so on MK Side it gets the fireworks - not the TV - even in those who have no chance of a firework view. Not to fond of that change. Like to watch the TV in the tub.


the regular place seems smaller than the models. of course that might have been me - but the area between the kitchen and table were larger in the models at SSR than what they are showing at BLT.

one more think - if you child is old enough - take her to the community hall - they have game boy and we (tv play thing) plus a bunch of activties for little ones.

now this place is not big - but until everyone discovers it - it should be a fun place.

Congrats!!! We also switched our reservations at the 7 month mark over to the BLT (April 14-21)!!!!

We have yet to stay there, as it just opened this past August. But I can tell you that the Contemporary (right next door) has been our absolute favorite resort for many years!! You just cannot beat the location if MK is where you spend most of your time! Being so close you can easily walk over, and take the monorail back ( it's the first stop on the way home- which is awesome)! There are restaurants, bars, and shops over at the Contemporary, plus the arcade. It's just a great place to hang out !!

As for TOTW, is it free, and is it just for people staying there? When can you book it?

TOTW is open to all DVC members staying at BLT using their membership. It is first-come, first-served, between 5pm and Midnight.

Just got home from BLT last week and LOVED it! We are afraid we won't be happy anywhere else now. ;-) DD loved waking up every morning and afternoon (nap) and being able to see the castle outside our window. It was also great to be on the monorail when the Disney buses shutdown for several hours last week. Everything was just magical!
