Questions on 7/11 mo range

If I rented say 50 VB points and added 100 of my own BCV points can I still go for a reservation
at VB 11 Mo. out or do you have to have all the points at the home resort to reserve 11 Mo out

The 11-month advantage only applies to points that belong to the home resort. No, your 100 BCV points couldn't be used to make the reservation, only the 50 that are Vero points.

Pam is correct.
One consideration would be to make the reservation for the highest demanded days with the 50 points (member services can tell you which days those will be) then wait for the window to book the remaining days.
