We recently purchased a 310 point resale at OKW and I've booked our first DVC trip home for January. I never thought DH would be interested in purchasing, but after I mentioned some things that I'd read on these boards, he wanted more information on DVC. I was able to get answers from all of you and now we are owners. I am very excited!

I've read all the posts about when (or if) it pays off, etc. For me, I've decided that this is something I really wanted to do and knew we would enjoy. In the end, it is only money and you can't put a value on memories with your family.

Congratulations!! We are new members too. We will be making our first DVC trip in Feb. 03.

Congratulations! We haven't joined yet, but I'm reading everything I can on these boards to help me figure these things out! I appreciated people being honest and saying that it's not necessarily a great financial move-but like others who really love Disney, I just WANT it! The thought of one day having grandchildren and getting to go often is wonderful.

My kids are 13, 12 and 8. We love to talk about Disney! We have the best time remembering our favorite things-but when we look up at other people's faces we can see they're bored-like watching bad home movies! Oh well-it works for us.

We went Easter 2001 and Mardi Gras 2002. On Friday before all of New Orleans got there it was so fun! My 8 yr old daughter and I rode It's a Small World three times in a row just because we could. We even had our own b oat!
