My husband and I are finally going to get a night to ourselves at Disney, as my sister and family are going, so we'll swap babysitting nights.

That said, I don't know where to go?? Since Pleasure Island is no more, there doesn't seem to be much to do at Downtown Disney. I was thinking of House of Blues, but I've heard that the restaurants there will often close early.

What about the Boardwalk? Never been there, but is that a place for us to go for a few drinks?

Thanks for any advice, I'm stumped! :confused3

It depends on what you want? BW is a great place for entertainment they have the Dance Hall and the Piano Bar they are both a ton of fun! There is a lot of individual entertainment along the BW, as well, while you stroll quietly down the BW together.
Have Fun!!

Atlantic Dance Hall and Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk are definitely options. ADH is always free, Jellyrolls is $10. If you have a car, consider CityWalk adjacent Universal Studios. It is similar to what Pleasure Island used to be. No matter where you go, I hope your date night is on a weekend night Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Other nights tend to be pretty barren everywhere.

BW is not bad for entertainment. You can start with a leisurely cocktail over at BWI at the Bellevue Room. This area of the hotel is set up with old time radio piped in and board games. ( It looks like a library from a manor in the early 1900's. ) You can enjoy a drink on the balcony or inside.

Then you can stroll the Boardwalk and watch the performers.

Then after 7p head over to Jellyrolls. They have a 10.00 cover charge but it is really worth the money. Lots of fun music and entertainment. No food here except for popcorn, so maybe you'll want to try the Yachtsman Steakhouse at YC or bluezoo over at Dolphin beforehand.
