I'm getting married in November 2009. We are having an Escape wedding. Due to unforseen circumstances it looks like we will need to postpone our wedding until next year....November 2010. Can we do this? Will it cost extra money? Thank you. :confused3

that's something I'd def. talk to your planner about. I think you can move it inside Disney's Fiscal year (Oct 1-Sept 30) but I don't know for sure. Sorry. Hopefully someone will have a good answer.

That was one of my first questions to Kathleen. You can postpone 1 time without penalty after that they start charging.

It's in section 9 of your contract. :thumbsup2

We did this. The pp who mentioned the fiscal year was correct. If your wedding is booked for this November, you could reschedule for anytime until Sept 30 2010 without penalty. October 1 or later next year, and you lose your deposit, plus any other penalties outlined in your contract. If you have to postpone (I know you wouldn't do it if you didn't) do it sooner than later to avoid possible penalties, and try to find a time to rebook before 9/30/2010 - maybe book for the assumed free dining for 2010 - late august thru september. That way you and your guests can all get free dining - you might even be able to get everyone to use their free dining credits for some wedding activities! ;)
