If I pay in full now for a reservation for Jan 2003 and then a code comes out will they refund me the difference in price?

Yes, they will refund but the process if slow... it can takes weeks, even months to get your refund.
Someone posted once that they used the extra money for room charging??? I don't remember who posted that, but you might ask and see if it's possible. ;)

Why would you want to pay so far in advance?? I have read about others who "pay off" their room in advance and I have never understood this.

since we only get to stay on-site for one night because we have a timeshare for the rest of the week we have to pay in full for the one night. The price right now for standard room at the beach club is 289.00 so I know I can do better but am afraid to wait because it is the weekend of the marathon that we are going.
When I made the reservation yesterday (through 1407DISNEY) she told me it would be due in full at the end of July. Do I have any other options open to me???????

Well I guess for a one day stay you have no option but to pay in full (within 10 days) since you have to put a one nights deposit.

We prefer to pay in full instead of dragging out the payments. It takes a little planning ahead, but that way it's done and there are no worries. We can focus fully on saving up our spending money a bit at a time.

I always pay in full before the trip. Somehow it seems less painful to send one night's stay per month, rather than spend $1500 at one time. It gives me the illusion of spending less. :) I hate spending big chunks of money at once.

I plan to pay off our trip early since I don't want to come home to a large credit card bill. I will also be paying "extra" on my room for charging priviledges. This helps to keep me within a budget and from overspending.

So, you can do this? If I overppay my room, it can be used for charging? I also like to pay for my room up-front. It just doesn't feel so bad that way. I have done this and then gotten a lower rate down the road. Disney either sent me a check or put a credit on my credit card. I would love to have extra on my room bill from over-paying. I tried to do this with my Disney credit card. It has a really small limit. So I asked them if I over-payed could I just keep charging based on the amount that I over payed. Oh, they didn't like that idea one little bit!! Said that every time I used the credit card, up to the regular credit limit, I would have to speak to their customer service dept. Didn't make much sense to me. So it would be nice to have a credit on my room key when i got there.

Yes, you can overpay and it will be a credit balance on your room card, I asked this very question last night to Disney and plan on doing that myself. Actually, I have already done that by about $13. If I don't get the money out of my hot little hands I will spend it, I know, I have no self control...I'm working on it...
