went into the village to check out the rates
travelex was 1.08 so had an idea before i went
post office was 1.06
bank was 1.03
came back and had a look on crown currency exchange which was 1.11 so i ordered them here to be delivered end of the month

That's good. Have you used Crown Currency before and if so are they any good? I'm looking where to get my currency too.

Never used Crown but use Fair FX cards which you load up with money you can withdraw at an ATM or use anywhere the Mastercard sign is :)
The always seem to have a very good rate

Ive used them a fair few times and always had brilliant service. Its always the best rate I can find. Will order mine tomorrow from them!

I didnt reliase they dont accept card payment
just bank transfer or cheque
made the transfer this morning , and got my contract note to say payment was received this afternoon

They do accept card payment. They charge fo visa but for meastro or solo they dont.
When ive done it before ive done it by transfer but ust ordered now with partners meastro card. :banana:

thats a bit strange as i said i wanted to pay via debit card and was told that bank transfer was the only way they accepted or a cheque

Your on your way. That's a very good rate. I looked in our village today and the highest was 1.02.

has anyone used crown currency exchange before? they have the highest exchange atm if you buy in advance

I ordered from them a couple of days ago and got 1.0799, but looking at their site its got better since then.
Haven't had a confirmation that they have received my bank transfer yet, do you always get that?

I used them , got an email back within an hr to say they had received my bank transfer
currency was to be delivered on monday 28th sept , but it came 2 days early and had to be signed for
great service all round

Just got my confirmation, sigh of relief!
Currency being delivered on the 9th. We are off to Tenerife for half term, hoping i will have some euros left for my solo trip to DLP on 30th November!
