Well we have just returned(07/02-07/07/02).

Check In- We arrived at the hotel at 12:20p.m. on Tuesday 07/02/02. We only waited 5 minutes and our room was ready!!

Room- Building 6-room#6125(water view of the river). Great location. The room was clean but there were a few carpet stains when you entered the room.

Food Court- The food was very good. We ate breakfest there on 2 days. We had dinner there about 3 nights.

Buses- The buses were GREAT! As stated by others. French Qtr was 1st picked up and 1st dropped off. The only real bad day was the 4th of July(coming back to the resort) that was to be expected.

Boat ride to Downtown Disney- This is a very relaxing ride. If you go to Downtown Disney, please take the boat ride.

Resort- In all this was a great resort. There is not a bad location in this resort. Everything is very close to the main building and the food court. We are now making plans for our return trip in Feb,2003 and we will stay here again.

Any questions, please ask...

Welcome back!

I have a question about the bus transportation. Was POFQ shared with POR? I've read some complaints about the bus transportation at POR, so I wondered if it had anything to do with them being shared.

Thanks!

We also just got back from PO/FQ. It was wonderful. As for the question about the buses, POR and PO/FQ do share buses. FQ is the first to be picked up and the first to be let off. I never had a complaint about the buses and we rode them everywhere except Downtown Disney. We drove there. We never waited more than 5 minutes for a bus coming or going. Now if I was at POR I may have a complaint about the buses. You often had to stand and at the end of the day I was so glad to be let off first that if I had to wait to ride to POR I might have been a little grouchy. But, if you are at POR when you get on a bus you know you don't have long to wait to get to the parks.

Welcome back MELCHOR88,
I hope you had a magical time!
My question is, did you feel the rooms are overall in good shape?
I'm going down 4/03, so this has been a concern of ours.
How was Mousekeeping?
My family and I stayed at CBR 6/01 and Mousekeeping was really
magical, my kids loved it. We really love the CBR, but would like
to try something different this time.

Hello Winniemouse, the room was in pretty good shape. There some stains on the carpet when we entered the room. Everything else was fine.

Mousekeeping- I had heard alot about this. There were only adults in our group, so we did not expect anything special. We were suprised to find on our final 3 days, they had made dolls from towels and used colored stickers for eyes and ears it was great! We all were able to keep one.

Hi! Welcome back to both of you MELCHOR88 and molly733. So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at PO/FQ. We are booked there next May and can hardly wait. I do have a question though. We have requested our rooms to be on the top floor of the building. I have just been diagnosed with arthritis in my knees and walking and climbing can be painful. Could either of you tell me if FQ has elevators the guests may use freely? And can you still use the pools at PO/RS? Do you have to show a resort ID before using the pools there? Thanks so much!

Very happy to hear that you all had a great time at this resort as my fiancee and I will be there in the midle of November on our honeymoon. I can't wait!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

My question to anyone here is if the food court is included with the meal plan we have from the Deluxe Magic Plan where all meals are included?

Thank for your help.

Was Mardi Gras open, and did they have live music? We will be there in October, and my parents are going as well, and they would love this time of place!
Thanks:)

Hey, how do I put one of those countdown timers on my signature?

We're headed to PO-FQ in October. I've requested first floor for us because my folks have knee/back problems, and climbing stairs would be difficult. I'm hoping to be in bldg. 3, just to be close to the bus and food, but I'd love to be in a bldg. with a water view!

Are there any areas at FQ set aside for lounging around outside, just relaxing, maybe watching the river or reading a book? My dad is not a big ride person, and would probably spend a bunch of time at the hotel. I haven't seen any photos of FQ that show any riverside benches or something similar.

Glad you had such a great time!

Sarah

Hello Disney freaks, There are elevators at the resort and you can use the pools at Riverside. They did not ask for resort ID's. Any more questions, please let me know.

Scoot95, I am not sure if you can use the deluxe Magic plan at the food court. I am pretty sure you can. You may want to give Disney a call.

Eeyore0062, Mardi Gras was open but there was no band, during our time there.

Kgkmom, there is not a bad location at the French QTR. We were at Bldg#6(with a water view of the river). There are benches throughout the resort to sit. We sat at many benches each night we were there a feed the rabbits. One night we counted 10 rabbits in the open grass area near our resort. There are several tables outside the food court.

Thanks MELCHOR88 for your prompt reply,
I have another question:
Are there coffee makers in the rooms, if not can you request one
upon check in?
Thanks in advance!

So glad to hear that there are elevators. Whew! Thanks MELCHOR88. I'm glad Winniemouse has asked about coffee pots as I was wondering about that too. Also, did your room have an iron and ironing board by chance or do you have to call for one? When we stayed at CSR they were already in the room but at WL we had to call housekeeping. Thanks again.

Winniemouse, you can request a coffee maker at check in. We did and had one at your room within the hour. We had a iron board and iron already in our room.
