Pancreatic cancer is always a death sentence, I'm afraid...
I hope his "Ghost" ending came true for him.

:( I'm so heart broken by this.
Has anyone else noticed too many big names have been passing lately? It's crazy. :(

That's so sad. You know how you can just look at a person and say they seem like a really great person, I think he was one of them. He'll be missed.

I know, how sad. My heart sank when DH told me. He seemed like a decent human being. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
I've also thought that too many big names have been leaving us lately. ::sigh:: :sad1:

:sad1: I recall past interviews of how close he and his wife are. My thoughts and prayers are with her during this difficult time.

He seemed like he didn't get caught up with the Hollywood scene and was a good family man. He really was in love with his wife.
He had the ability to make fun of himself too. My favorite skit on SNL is with him and Chris Farley.
RIP Prince Charming.:littleangel:

Terribly sad. The Chris Farley sketch was one of my favorites as well but Dirty Dancing really made its mark. Great dancing and sound track! Thank you Patrick. You will be missed.

I did not read all the posts, but OPs best put, thanks so much for it "The Original Prince Charming" not just because of his Disney gig but I think that suits him to a tee, I can't think of any other man around that truly is what he was, prince charming... It brought a big smile to my face when I read that!

aw, the title is SO fitting!
I was totally bummed when I heard he passed, although I knew it was coming sooner or later. He fought a good hard fight though.
I agree with what someone else said -too many "big names" (atleast during my lifetime) are leaving us all at once! That's enough God.... you can lay off for awhile. This summer has been one big funeral and TOO much of a reminder of how short our lives are. :(
Yes I had a crush on him as a teenager- what teenager at that time didn't? (ahem: dirty dancing!!!!!!!)
He was a good man and I'm sad to see him go. I know his wife is going thru a really hard time and I'm praying for her.

I have been so upset by the death of Patrick Swayze! He seemed like a genuinely GOOD human being and not just a great actor, but a great PERFORMER. How many actors are left in Hollywood that are a triple threat like he was? He could sing, dance and act. You just don't see that anymore. I am so sad for his wife and family and sorry that he struggled with a horrible disease like cancer. What a fighter! Thanks for the movies and the memories! RIP:sad1:

Thanks for the link...I didn't realize that he danced with the Joffrey Ballet. I knew he was a great dancer, but he was really at the top of that field too. I went to see Dirty Dancing at our local indy theater tonight - it was really nice to see it on the big screen. He will be missed.
