Colleen and Tammy (and family) head to Disney for a wild and crazy (way too long) vacation.....

WOW! What a GRAND GATHERING this was! The main crew was to consist of Colleen (Goofy22), myself (Tammy AKA OneTreeHillAddict), and Christine (DisneyQuilter). Christine had to reschedule but Colleen and I went ahead with our plans and along the way we met up with several other Dis friends vacationing at the same time. I was lucky enough to meet ~

Alicia* (AKSunshine)
Danielle (Viallainess)
Jennifer* (Thunderbird1)
Danica* (ZeroToHero)

Colleen met those with *'s above as well as my sister, CHIMERE, and Tabatha! Colleen and I were instant friends. She and her family are GREAT! I can't wait to see them again in November!

Of course we missed out on a few of ya'll too. We're both still sad about that. We wanted to meet everyone so bad. Every single "pool party" we planned got changed around. The first night we planned to meet up we actually hung out inside the food court at Pop due to rain. The second night we ended up at CBR with Alicia and her family. On the third night we ended up out at Pop instead of the Boardwalk because Danielle's lil one got really sick. Poor baby. BTW she has the cutest kids! She had them dressed up for the Halloween party and they were so adorable! The last meeting was rained out. Ugh! Craziness I know. That's why I hate making plans at Disney. Something always comes up.

Some highlights you will experience here:

Illuminations Grand Gathering at Epcot (This is very hard to find any info on but you will have it now!!!)

Safari Grand Gathering at the Animal Kingdom

Front row seats at the HDDMR!

Food pictures galore!

Crazy Stuff that happened:

Ambulance ride to the ER

WDW steals $300+ from me!

My hotel room had more cobwebs, dirt dobbers (not sure how you spell that one.....they look like wasps), and mold than the Haunted Mansion!

Ashley, Chimere, and Tabatha get in a HUGE fight and want us to referee

Colleen and her family find a baby!

Colleens camera falls into the bat cage!

OK! So first let me say welcome everyone from our PTR! and welcome all new readers to this should be really funny and interesting!
So my Cast will consist of 5 of us!

This was definitely a great trip we had alot of fun and met some great new friends! Tammy and Family were the nicest people and so easy to get along with! Dash and my DS hit off and were buds the entire trip! Bolt and my DGN were just too cute together it was so funny more on that later! Gabby and my DD were gals pals during the trip ! I'm glad I got to meet Tammy and Sidney and family and Jennifer aka Thunderbird1 and her daughter were also very nice we met up with them in the food court at pop on a rainy night! Then I met with was Danica aka Zero to Hero at the AIE experience and got to see her BF Lou perform he was great! :thumbsup2
and Alicia aka AKSunshine and her family ! I'm really looking foward to sharing this trip it was a great time and were all crazy! LOL and we had alot of interesting things happen as Tammy gave you lil glimpses above! Well until later I guess thats all I have!

As promised I am going to go ahead and add my first couple of days so Colleen can get in on this baby! One Tree Hill starts up tonight so I have to hurry! So change of plan....instead of sleeping for a bit then waking up at 4 we went ahead and hit the road. We arrived fairly early in the day but we were dog tired. Of course the kids had slept most of the way down so they were wired and ready to play. We told them NAP for 2 hours then we'll go out and don something. BTW we called CBR to make sure we could check in once we got there knowing we'd be ready for bed and they said to come on. These Pirate rooms were so cool! The kids loved them! I will say this.....they are a really really long way from everything so make sure you have your car if you book those. Seeing that I have 10 minutes to spare right now I'm going to show you the pics from the room for now.

Those pirate rooms are just the cutest things! Definitely had alot of imagination in those rooms! OMG! One tree Hill I can't believe that Chic is going to set up Nathan! :mad: I like that Brooke and Julian are finally becoming a couple! :thumbsup2 But I'm not sure how I'm going to like the fact that my top 2 favorite characters are no longer on the show I don't know if I'm going to like it with out Lucas and Peyton!!!!!!!!!!!!:headache: I like the others but was partial to those 2! Why can't they come back??????????????
Tammy go over to that River court and tell them I want Lucas and Peyton BACK!!!!!!!!!!!:lmao: Well I'm sure I'll have alot to catch up on tommorrow since I work from 8 til 3:30pm and then have to go pick my DS up from school then I'm going to be fighting him for the computer because I made the mistake of signing him up for Facebook tonight so he can talk to Dash and he's already addicted to YoVille and This Fish Game!!! I had to make him get off and goto bed!!! :rotfl:

After our way too short nap the baby woke us up with the clock radio blaring out Billy Squier (and it wasn't one of the good songs!) We were all starving plus we had the dining plan for the day so we went out for a quick lunch at the AKL. Here are some pictures from that meal.

They went inside the gift shop to play tic tac toe for a second and ended up at the rock counter. Gabby collects rocks and wanted to buy some but I left the money in the room. She was satisfied wasting her snack credits on junk candy and off we went ~ back to the PIRATE rooms!

Well, no actually that's not what happened. I realized (an hour into our trip) that I did not have my ADR's made online. I had the AKL concierge search for them with no luck. I called Colleen and Jen and asked if I had sent them any info on my ADR's. I was so frustrated now. We had just pulled up to the AK to get our tickets separated from the package when Gabby realized she left her BFF inside the shop at the AKL. WONDERFUL....so we get back in the truck and rush back over. Luckily she was still there in the spot in which she left her. I couldn't believe it! So then we went back and picked up the one day tickets. Almost an hour killed!

THEN we went back to CBR and put on our swimsuits. It was time to get in the pool! Gabby, Bolt, and I went into the new pirate pool while Sid and Dash went into the sand castle pool. They didn't make it to the slides when it was suddenly shut down...yep! You guessed it. Floating POOP! They super shocked it though and reopened a little bit later. The kids LOVED the Pirate area. It was there when we stayed back in Dec '08 but we were only there for a day and it was too chilly to swim that evening. So this was their "first" time in that pool. We were in there for a while. I took the kids out and over to the big pool for a bit. After we got out I was looking around for the towels when some IDIOT asked me if I spoke English. He started running off at the mouth about me not closing a gate that he had "opened" for me. He was po'ed because I did not say THANK YOU and get down on my knees I suppose. (He went on and on and after I tried to ignore him he kept on some more) Well, let me just say ~ NEVER MESS WITH ME WHEN I AM TIRED! It's not a pretty sight. I scared the hell out of the guy and I doubt he will ever get out of line again. One of the CM's was LOL. I think the stupid guy was crying when he left. Once we went back to the room we crossed paths with the CM on a golf cart. He laughed and said, "I will never make you mad!" For some reason I came across some really STUPID people on this trip. Colleen has a picture of one of them. I'm sure she will tell you all about it!

We still had some CS meals to use up so we showered....got dressed and went to the food court at CBR. I was hoping to see my "friend" over there but no such luck. Oh well. The kids had some sand bucket meals and I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. I know I took pics. Hmmm. Wonder where they are. If I locate those I will add them tomorrow. I'm heading to bed now in this TR as well as in real life. Until next time...

I'm sorry I missed all of you guys well I was down ther at the same time but things just didn't seam to work out.

We were wondering what happened to you! We sat out by the pool a couple of nights at Pop. We figured you'd find us. How did you not see us at some point!? Seems like I saw Jenn every time I turned around. :) I missed CharacterFan too and she was at Pop. We missed quite a few people. :guilty: How was your trip!? Did you have a good time?

Well, no actually that's not what happened. I realized (an hour into our trip) that I did not have my ADR's made online. I had the AKL concierge search for them with no luck. I called Colleen and Jen and asked if I had sent them any info on my ADR's.

Oh no! Did you figure them out eventually?

THEN we went back to CBR and put on our swimsuits. It was time to get in the pool! Gabby, Bolt, and I went into the new pirate pool while Sid and Dash went into the sand castle pool. They didn't make it to the slides when it was suddenly shut down...yep! You guessed it. Floating POOP!

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! :scared1: Did they ever get to go on the slides, or were they ruined for them by that point?

After we got out I was looking around for the towels when some IDIOT asked me if I spoke English. He started running off at the mouth about me not closing a gate that he had "opened" for me. He was po'ed because I did not say THANK YOU and get down on my knees I suppose. (He went on and on and after I tried to ignore him he kept on some more) Well, let me just say ~ NEVER MESS WITH ME WHEN I AM TIRED! It's not a pretty sight. I scared the hell out of the guy and I doubt he will ever get out of line again. One of the CM's was LOL. I think the stupid guy was crying when he left. Once we went back to the room we crossed paths with the CM on a golf cart. He laughed and said, "I will never make you mad!" For some reason I came across some really STUPID people on this trip. Colleen has a picture of one of them. I'm sure she will tell you all about it!

I'm sorry that that guy was a jerk (I almost wrote another word, but realized this was a family forum, and not the feminine cares aisle in a drugstore... if ya get my drift.) But way to go for sticking it to him! I almost wish I was there... but I probably would have been dying laughing, and that might have ruined it.

And I remember that text message that I got from you - I can't wait to hear further details about those two! :rolleyes1

btw I just became addicted to One Tree Hill this summer when we decided to disconnect our cable service saving some $$ and purchased those tv converter boxes to watch local channels. Well stupid me didn't realize you needed an antenna to hook up to those boxes and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the outdoor antenna hooked up (there is a bunch of wires from the previous owner's Direct TV antenna but not the wire coming down from the big antenna on the roof). So long story short - we've been watching dvd's all summer and I discovered Season 1 of One Tree Hill and loved it! Am up to Season 5 but the library here doesn't have it yet so guess I'll have to break down and find one used online to get caught up.

Back to the TR, love those pirate rooms! How cute are they :lovestruc You guys are real troopers moving ahead with the day after no sleep - great parents ;)

Can't wait to read more :surfweb:

The Pirate Room looks awesome! I am so glad they have new mugs. When I went in Feb., they still had the Million Year Dreams mugs, so this October I am finally getting a Celebration mug!! I can't wait to read more of your guys trip report.

Tammy! I would be mad to that party scene wouldve been the coolest thing to have a part in!!! Yes there were alot of nekkid ppl that scene w mouth n skills was hysterical!!! Onto the 23rd...this was the first day of our free dining package. Our first ADR was made at Teppan Edo. The BEST food in all of WDW (IMO anyway). But, before we could go to Epcot we had to switch rooms and settle into Pop. We sent Sidney over to deal with all of that. Meanwhile we all got dressed and packed up the little bit of stuff we'd taken out over at CBR. By the way they do NOT have elevators over there!!! I could not believe that. And of course we were on the second floor with two huge boxes full of mess! The mousekeepers used their lift to get our stuff up to the second floor. I just think that's crazy! I will say this was the best room we ever had at CBR. I liked the double windows...you can see that here.

After a couple of hours we were settled and ready to go to Teppan Edo. It was as delightful as ever. We eat here a lot and we get the same server every single time. Same room. Only thing different is the chef. We've never had the same chef. I've shared TE pics many times so I didn't take a whole lot this time. As a matter of fact I think most were taken by the baby. LOL

On our way out we spotted the candy artist! This woman does a fantastic job as you all know! We watched her for a couple of minutes then moved on.

By now the potty break was over and it was time to get our clothes dirty. Yep. Guess where the red liquid ends up!

Our next stop was the show in the American theatre. I LOVE this show myself and the kids were interested too. Again, didn't take many pics or write anything down.

Afterwards we wandered around World Showcase for a bit. The kids went into Germany for some fudge and we walked out and saw this in the store.

I asked the guy if they'd ever sold one and he said two total. All of this stuff is gorgeous but it is very very expensive! Go in and check it out though. Pretty stuff!

Gabby liked this too. She wonders why I wouldn't buy it. Come on now...what the heck would I do with this thing at home!?

We continue our journey around the World and I told Sidney I wanted to watch the movie in China and check out the acrobats since we'd never seen them. We still had a good hour before the kids did their thing so we met Mulan...it was nice to meet her inside. The picture turned out much nicer I think.

After the movie we went back into the waiting area. (Everything was moved inside for the day so I'm assuming there was rain at some point...I just don't remember.) We waited for the kids to come out. Had nice front row seats. Yay! These kids were awesome! I have video too but never added it. I can later if ya'll want. We were all speechless as we watched them do their thing. Make sure you check them out if you haven't before!

We also took a tour of the museum and Gabby wanted to try on a kimono. She had $75 to spend on whatever she wanted but the deal was shop around the first week and make a decision at the end. This was one of the options.

We started to leave World Showcase and saw this little lady on the way out. Look at her foot. Poor thing. She was so sweet. I LOVE the birds/ducks. I know some of you are anti bird on here but they don't bother me. We like to stop and watch them from time to time.

LOL Yes I did figure out my ADR's. I had a copy in my purse that I had brought to the Mountains to work on a couple of weeks before. Thanks goodness I had that or else I would have been doing walkl ins. Not that it would have been a problem. It was dead most places anyway.

It's a really good show. Very underrated if you ask me! I was LOL last night at all the nekkid people. I do miss Chad and Hilary but life goes on, ya know? I'm sure Mark has a great season in store for us. I can't wait for 90210 and MP tonight!

This is the second style of "new" cup atually. The first edition looked like the old ones but with this motif. Now they're all smooth on the outside instead of indented. I wonder why they did that!?

We enjoyed TE too! The servers are SOOOO polite and the chefs cooking right in front of you is the best part. :thumbsup2

Funny I had the opposite happen my husbands cousins came to visit for the day that we had Tutto booked so we cancelled and went out to eat with them and since we were doing HDDMR on Sept 1st at 9:30pm that worked out perfectly as I called Disney Dining and made a late lunch ressie for Teppan EDO on Sept 1st! I had TE when I was doing Deluxe but when I went back to reg FDP I cancelled it! I was so happy that we spent the day with the cousins on tutto day after hearing the reviews. Tammyand DH Sidney told me that was best choice we couldve made and I have to say they were definitely right! Now thanks to them my entire family is hooked oN TEPPAN EDO !!!!:goodvibes. They want to do it in August in the begining and end of the trip! :laughing:

We have a lot of those type places here and they're all good but the people are not as nice as the ones at Epcot. They are all so sweet, well, the host on our last day was a B, but inside they've always been over the top. You wont get thirsty or run out of white rice! That's for sure. :goodvibes

Looks like we ended up over in The Land after a few rides. We rode Soarin' while in there but one of my favorites....the boat ride that takes you through the greenhouse and all was closed! Blah! I love the Living with the Land tour. I was so disappointed. That and TTA being closed in the same trip. Ick! I hear that opened back up this week though! Woo Hoo! Can't wait to get back on TTA and the boats should be up and going by the time we go back!

I have found that Sunshine Seasons is one of the BEST places to eat at WDW. They have yummy salmon and the chocolate coffee crumb cake....OH MY WORD! That is some good stuff! Not to mention they have lemon juice packets for my water!!! I LOVE this place! Here are some pictures from our delicious counter service meal!

We finished up the day at Epcot and went back to Pop. I know boring huh? (That I don't even remember what all we did.) We had bought several cute gifts in the weeks before we left. They were going to be left in the room by the "Tinker Fairies". Well, my oldest ones knew better and they let me know. Great. Wonderful. Now what!? I asked them to play along for their little brother's sake and they did. Darn it though. I didn't want them to figure this kind of thing out just yet. Mmmm, Teppan Edo looks SO GOOD! I've never eaten at TE in Disney, but we have a Japanese Steakhouse 5 minutes from our house called Sakura and it's seriously one of my favorite restaurants - YUMMO! Now I'm debating switching one of my ADRs to Teppan Edo... Hmmm!

Gabby looks so cute in that kimono! She's absolutely gorgeous, Tammy! :)

The family pic at TE turned out really cute, too!

It is! We have some of the best places like that here but the service....it's so much more authentic at WDW than locally. I'd switch! I have a couple of ADR's there. Maybe you can join our table. I'll let you know when mine are.

Ok , So our day started at about 3:30am well I should really say my day! ;) I woke up started to get evryone's clothes out and everything ready to go! I had my boarding passes printed from the night prior so they were already in my bag! I woke everyone up and around 4:15am we were off to I-95 to the Philadelphia Airport but first we had to goto Winner Airport parking where we would check our van in and then get driven in our car to airport by a valet driver, We arrived at the airport about 5am exactly what I had planned since we had a 7am flight! We got our bags out and headed to the Airtran counter as we had to check 2 suitcases! It went really quick even though there were quite a few ppl in line! Now we're headed to the metal detectors and I panic!!!:scared1: I was suppose to ask the Orthopedic Dr if DD would beep since she has a metal pin and clip in her knee from her reconstruction surgery and I don't have a note to explain!!! :headache:

Well of course I send DD through first because I figure if she don't get through we can't go anyways! :headache: So she goes through the metal detector and it didn't beep!!! :woohoo: I was soo relieved I really thought it was going to and I didn't know what would happen then! now we were headed to our gate to wait for our flight. We went to get some breakfast sandwiches and coffe while we were waiting there was alot of ppl up and out to fly at 7am I was actually a lil surprised our flight was full.

So at 6:20am we started boarding and we were off on time actually I think it was like a min early! Upon take off we had alot of turbulence and DGN's face was like what the heck is happening?
I was like ohhh this isn't going to be good! :rotfl: So I got the puke bag ready just in case! She was fine after a bit it did lighten up some! :) Other than the turbulence and a few screaming kids we had a pretty nice flight we had arrived in MCO at 9:15am ! When we landed I turned my cell phone on and within minutes I had a text from tammy wondering if we had arrived yet? I sid funny you asked we literally just landed! :) then we were off to The DME line where we gave our passes and were shown which line to get into! Our bus made 4 stops ! We stopped First at CBR then POP then it was going to the Swan and Dolphin.

We only waited in the DME line maybe 5 minutes before boarding the bus it took us about 35 minutes to get to POP ! We're finally at Pop we grab our carry on bags and Dh, DD and Ds, DGN head to the Kids seating area and watch Tv while I head to the online check in! There was maybe 2 ppl in front of me while the reg line had about 11 ppl in it! It took me a few minutes I was checked in and had all my info and guess what our room was ready! We were in the 60's RM#5110 it was ok but couldve been better.
We were between Baloo and the greeen Yo yo closest to the kiddie pool!

So we were in the room a few minutes and Myself and DS headed around the back of our Building to Meet Tammy and family as they were waiting for us!
We spent a lil bit of time with them but didn't want to hold them up as they were getting ready to hit the parks!!!

My DS and Dash hit it off immediately almost like they had been friends for quite some time!
Like I have already said Tammy and Sidney and the kids are the nicest and funny too!
So after a bit we headed back to the room because the last thing DH and DD said was they were hungry!:)

So we headed to Pop Foodcourt while Tammy and family headed to DHS!

After lunch they all headed to the pool but me I stayed to book next years bounceback I wanted to get it done before it slipped my mind as that easily happens in Disney!

Then I joined the rest of the crew at the pool and after a while we showered and headed off to MK as this is usually our first park to visit since the first time we took our kids to Disney because DD was about 5 and she sttod on Masin street starring at the Castle CRYING and LAUGHING at the same time! Mommy !! Daddy!!! Mommy do you see that ???? It's Cinderella's castle!!
You had to be there it was the best feeling! ;)

Well we went on a few things at MK and we were going to meet back up with Tammy and family but everyone was tired from the long day so we decided to go back to the room and relax before our dinner at 6pm at Trex!

We got to Trex in time for our Ressie and it was pretty empty! We were seated immediately this place is so neat!

I guess DH's dinner was one that I accidentally deleted.

I have no pics from like the first 2 days as I somehow accidentally deleted all of them!!! :mad:( But we had my camera and DD's and DD's was the one we were mainly using this night and I never really used it before and on 8/26 I deleted all the pics on it from 8/24-8/26 if it wasn't for 2 cameras I wouldnt have any pics of those days! )

That's the first of things that happened!
Dinner was good!

Then the kids begged to go off to the Marketplace and walk around and we did I wasn't paying attention to time and I was suppose to be at DHS to meet Sarah and that didn't happen :guilty:

So after a few hours we left DTD and headed back to POP we were hot so we got changed and went to the pool for awhile then called it a night!

I think that about sums up day #1 ( How's that for you Tammy? lol)

Note: Trex is not on the dining paln in case you were wondering we paid OOP as we did (3)
2 credit TS's and they were all sooo worth it!!! Plus tips were included in those!

I'm so late joining this trip report!!!! With the girls dancing 4 days a week, my life just dooesn't give me time to get online as much, but I'm here now. Tammy,the pirate room is sooooo neat. I love the beds and the other furniture. I know the boys and Gabby had fun in there.
Gabby looks so cute in her kimono. Does she still have a Mulan costume?
I'm enjoying the report so far.
Oh and Tammy, we might not meet at Disney, but it looks like the end of October for us to go to MB. More on that later.

Colleen, the pics of Trex are really neat. We went there this summer and my girls loved the atmosphere. We had to wait until8PM for resies there though and it waas packed! maybe everyone was on the free dining plan while you were there and didn't want to pay at an OOP restaurant:confused3

Yep She has a Mulan costume. It's one of her favorites! Oooh. Details on this October trip! Did you get my message about the stickers? I looked for those and never saw them. All I saw were the quotation stickers and those were at the Poly.

As for those crowds and empty restaurants....it was slow during that visit. Not many people at all.

They make you prove you have metal in your knee to board a plane? (If the beeper goes off?) That's crazy. Good thing she went through okay. Could you imagine had she went threw on the way but they didn't let her go back home. LOL

All of the 2 credit meals were great, huh? I thought for sure I'd regret or feel like I wasted two credits with HDDMR but in our situation it was perfect. Had I been in a different section I don't think I would have enjoyed it so much.

You had some bad luck with the cameras this time didn't you? You better lock those memory cards next time & secure that camera around your neck! :laughing:

My kids really loved the atmosphere at Trex also! We didn't have to wait I called and made my ressie at 90 dys just like the rest of my FDP adrs lol!
They really liked the Ice room and the room on fire I had pics of that guess they were some of the delted ones also! :mad:

Great updates guys! I have heard alot of good things about Trex. I love HDDR. We sat right next to the stage in 2008 and in the balcony this past trip and both were great seats. The cast interacts with you no matter where you are. And Claire gets so mesmorized by the whole show (and barely eats :rolleyes1) If/when we go again, I want to try Mickey Backyard BBQ.
I wonder if DH will need a note in the fute since he is getting his hip replaced and it's supposed to be steel.

Day 3 for me ~ August 24th. We had lunch scheduled for today at Sci Fi in DHS so we headed to that park. We were seated and given our menus. We sat there for a few minutes and decided we really didn't want to eat here. We LOVE Sci-Fi. The atmosphere. The little cars you sit in. Everything is great but the menu! Nothing on that appealed to any of us. Sadly we got up and left. I'm pretty sure we went over and ate CS at the place by Star Tours. The one with the refillable drink stations. Maybe if I take a look at my pictures I will get a clue. Ha Ha!

Yes! It's confirmed! That's where we went. (This picture was taken there) I suppose I didn't take any of the food this time. Sorry. This place is okay. Same ol boring food you can get anywhere. Having a refillable drink station is nice for those who like a lot of soda. The kids said the marble cheesecake dessert was yummy!

I don't remember what else we did on this day at DHS. I know the kids and I went on the R n RC before we left. I tried to talk them into riding the TOT with me but with no luck. More than likely we did the TSM ride too. We usually hit those two if nothing else.

We decided to leave and go over to the Magic Kingdom for a while. I promised the boys we'd do haircuts no matter how long the wait was. (Dumb mistake on my part) We waited probably two hours! Yeah, I could have went out and did whatever with Gabby n' Bolt but I just didn't feel like it. We were the last customers of the day. That made for a fun time and some interesting conversation. You know how it is in a barber shop. You get on a topic and you hear a LOT about it. Sidney made the mistake of asking about the recent CM deaths at WDW. It was hard to shake that conversation for a couple of hours after leaving. Sad sad stories.

Anyway...all three of my boys were supposed to get their hair cut but Bolt wanted nothing to do with them. (By the way this is where he got his very first haircut back in the Summer of 2006!) Sidney & Dash got their hair done. The ladies do a fabulous job over there and it's about the same price you'd pay anywhere. Here are a few pics from that!

Well unfortunately I won't have an update as I left my notes at work it was busy today and it's DH's bday so I was in a rush!! :eek:

Colleen...I love the T-Rex pictures!! I am really wanting to go there one day! It just looks really cool!

Great updates guys! I have heard alot of good things about Trex. I love HDDR. We sat right next to the stage in 2008 and in the balcony this past trip and both were great seats. The cast interacts with you no matter where you are. And Claire gets so mesmorized by the whole show (and barely eats :rolleyes1) If/when we go again, I want to try Mickey Backyard BBQ.
I wonder if DH will need a note in the fute since he is getting his hip replaced and it's supposed to be steel.
Trex was great the atmosphere in there is the neatest thing!
The T-Rex looks so cool. I really wanted to get over there but we didn't make it this time. Maybe on our next trip.
Trex is definitely cool! I hope we do get to meet up sometime!

Jennifer the prices are really no worse than a disney restaurant actually a lil cheaper I think our bill for the 5 of us was like $94 something in that area.

cute haircuts and mickeys in the hair my DS got his haircut there one time and got a big red mickey on the back of his head. Very cute but what a mess it left on the sheets and in the shower. Even after it was washed out you could still see the red paint in his hair. I'll be here waiting for morepopcorn::

Hey Tammy!! I just found you! I can't believe you are on page 5 and I am just now finding your TR!! Oh well. I'm already caught up. It's been hilarious so far! I can't wait to read the rest. I'm so glad you did another TR and didn't hold out on us.

Those pirate rooms look fantastic. I wonder why CBR is so spread out though. The last thing most people want to do at WDW is more walking. I hear a lot of people complain about that. And no elevator?????? What?? Maybe I am lazy but that is a deal breaker for me. We took a stroller to the parks everyday and I can't imagine hauling that up and down stairs all week long. I hate that b/c I would love to stay in one of those rooms.

BTW, I just had to mention that your kids are learning so much from your trips to WDW, especially in World Showcase. How many other kids their ages have seen Chinese acrobats, Japanese drummers and candy makers, etc, etc???? Your school system is so crazy for not wanting you to take them out of school for that. That type of first hand learning will stay with them long after they forget what they read in a textbook. I told DD's teacher on the first day that we were going to Disney in November and she would miss 4 days of school. I didn't "ask", I told her.;) She thought it was a great idea, which is a good thing b/c I'm not changing my plans for anyone!:rotfl:

True, if you do things a certain way kids can learn a LOT at Disney! There's all kinds of lessons you can incorporate into the AK and Epcot, not to mention all of the engineering that goes on everywhere in all of WDW. They're doing homeschool days down there right now. Amanda is trying it out. Can't wait to hear what she says about it!

Yep. Best selection other than the Pepper Market. They win hands down. :laughing: At SS I always get the salmon and from now on the coffee cake. OMGosh so good. Yum yum yum!

Ya know all the Tinker Fairy stuff (well, most all of it...) came from the dollar racks at Target and Dollar Tree. The stuff at Target was also 30% off I think. They get some cute Disney stuff!

Thanks. Those were taken with the camera we found ran over in the street. ha ha It's beat all to haiti but I love it. It's only like $120 brand new.

If you get Chad a haircut make sure you go early and be the first one in line. We used to go there all the time but I guess word got out on how good they are and now they stay slammed.

OMGosh. The first time we went they put a blue one in Dash's hair and it NEVER washed out! They gave us special shampoo and everything and nothing helped. He had this big patch of green hair. They offered to "color" his hair and I was like NFW! It grew out about 2-3 months later. Whatever you do avoid the blue in really blonde hair!!! We've had the other colors since and never had problems with those. Mess? YES it makes a mess all right. It takes forever to dry but boy is it cute! :goodvibes

No, not at all. We've eaten there many times in the past and it was great. The lunch menu did not offer us anything appetizing that day. Sci Fi is one of my favorite places to eat. I just wish they'd change the menu and offer more "junk" food. ha ha Look at the menu on WDW's website. If you like what you read definitely eat there! This was my sons first year on the adult dining plan and he couldn't find much to his liking.

Great pics as usual. I love the Mickey's in the guys hair and Gabby's confetti. Did hers wash out well? When my girls got the pixie dust at tinkerbell's Trove, it stayed in forever. I swear we were back in school andi still found some on Amanda's scalp. I agree with blue in blonde hair. It takes a while to come out although baking soda helps. ( I won't let my girls get their hair sprayed with colors since it's so hard to get out!!!!

The parade looked neat. We missed most of it . i think one day we saw a few floats as we were going to dinner. The girls didn't want to stop since they were playing a Hannah Montana song and they do not like her.

The Disney Christmas Carol train is making a stop not far from here on October 9-10. Feel like taking a drive up here? I'm going to take the girls that Saturday. It's at a really nice transportation museum and everything is free.

OK! So I know what I didn't tell you all about day one! When I was booking my Bounceback for next August/Sept .

I had already had a trip booked that was 2 rooms that I wanted to change to the bounceback the girl that answered told me I couldn't do that! It had to be a new ressie! I felt like I was working in a bank again cross selling everything had to be new money ! I said to her well that is ridiculous! I will just cancel it totally!

She said well let me see if I can get an approval from Guest relations!
So I said ok! Needless to say I was on hold forvever the entire phone call took over an hour and they picked up right away no wait!
Well I finally did get them to change it and all was well but it took forever!

OK! Now onto to Day #2 8/25/09
We woke up early! We were headed to Blizzard Beach our intentions
were to spend the day there. So we packed up some PBJ sandwiches and juice boxes and chips etc.. as we were using our CS for something else!
We arrived at BB around 10:30am and didn't leave until about 3pm .

We all had alot of fun here and did alot of slides and pools etc.. We went on the Family or Team raft whatever they call it as it was really the only BIG slide baby dgn could do! She loved it! She laughed hysterically the entire way down! So hard that listening to her laugh was making us all laugh! :rotfl:

The lazy river if you have never been all the way around you have to do it! At one point near the end there is this house you pass by I think it''s goofy's voice you hear talking can't remember ! And then a BIG Sneeze if your right there a water comes out of the chimney onto you!
It's hysterical the kids were like EWE! :lmao:
They also like the wave pool! and baby dgn loved the lil tikes water park area with the lil slides and all!

At some point after lunch we met up with Tammy and family we were getting off the Lazy river and they were getting in line to get on..

We stayed with them for a lil bit then we went our seperate ways.
I also recieved a text from danica Zerotohero while we were there saying that she had arrived safely and was really excited!

Let me tell you after spending the entire day at the waterpark we didn't do that again! We were all soo tired and didn't want to do anything else! And Burnt Oucch! OMG we looked like lobsters our 2nd day! :scared1:

Well like I said around 3pm we were all ready to go back to POP !
We got showered and dressed as we planned on eating somewhere in DTD but it wasn't planned as it was OOP and we wouldve been happy with Counter service or something like that.
While we were getting ready DH had a phone call it was his cousin that lives in Ocala it was her day off and her and his Aunt and the kids wanted to come have dinner with us! So since we were tired and had no plans it worked out!
We met up with them at DTD and had dinner at the Rainforest cafe.
and hung out and chatted for awhile.

We were suppose to meet up with Tammy and Sidney and the kids at Disney Quest but that didn't work out since the family stayed to hang out.
We hung around for awhile and then they headed off as they had a long drive about an hour or so!
We then headed back to pop because it was raining and already about 9pm!
During our bus ride back I got a text from Tammy saying the pool party was still on we were just going to move it inside to the pop food court around
10pm!
Well we did we hung at at the foodcourt and Jennifer Thunderbird1 and her dd stopped by and chatted for a bit! they were really nice !
My family and Tammy's closed the foodcourt at Midnight! :laughing:
The cm's kept looking at us like wth are they still doing in here! :)

So we then called it a night and headed back to our rooms for some sleep!

Yep! I remember alot just not everything! lol! ;) Defiinitely do the wterparks even if you only do one and thats it! It's like $53 per daysomething like that! It's apprx an extra $300 to add the water park fun and more 10 day park hopper .

Definitely even if you only do one waterpark one time!( Just pay per day at that not ad on) We really didn't get our moneys worth for the waterpark opt this time as we only went 2xs! But it is worth it if you use it like we did last year we were there everyday we could that it didn't rain!

After a quick ride on the Haunted Mansion Sidney and I split up. I took the kids to ride Big Thunder Mountain RR while he went up front to get our water park annual passes. We had promised them a ride on BTMRR all day and we were running out of time. We were having dinner at Chef Mickey's on this night. Bolt had a fit when it was our turn to get on BTM but I made him go on anyway. 5 seconds into the ride he was going, "Weeeee!!!"

As soon as we got off we rushed our way up to the front. I look over at guest services (the one at the MK but outside of the gate) and Sidney looked ticked off. I met him half way and he told me the tickets weren't any good. I was like, "WTHRU talking about!?" These tickets were put in my purse as soon as our vaca was done and never touched again. (We had to use them for dining but that was it.) The room cards I mean. Since we have AP's for park entry.

So I went back to the window and asked for a manager to come up. I get one of those $8 an hour supervisors instead. Whatever. So, she stares at the screen for a really long time like she's confused as all get out. She kept saying, "I don't get it!? I just don't get why it's doing this..." So on and so on. An hour passes by. I sent my family ahead so they could enjoy Chef Mickey's without me assuming they could fix the problem. She calls for help. The other lady gets all confused. She asks another man. He does the same. She was getting frustrated. Then she asks me when my last visit was. I told her May. She gets my zip code. Looks up the last trip in my name. Keep in mind here when we went in May we had two ressies. One for 5 nights over at the All Stars under SIDNEY'S NAME and ONE night IN MY NAME at CSR. She goes to typing then looks back at me and says you used your tickets on that date. (The same date we were CSR. Yes I kept a detailed journal for Dis reports during that trip so I know our status minute by minute). So what I think happened is she got so frustrated and took it upon herself to assume the tickets were used since they were ONE day tickets and she was seeing a one day trip in May. Little did the idiot know we were there for 6 nights and had annual passes!

When I brought this up she asked to see them as if I was lying about it. (And now I am getting agitated with her dumb self...) Well Sidney had our tickets but I told her to go ahead and look it up in her computer. (And she did) You could tell she felt like a dumb you know what now and had already entered somehow someway on her system that we'd used those tickets so she wouldn't have to deal with me anymore. The MK was now closed and she was ready to go. All the other windows were long ago closed up. Up until she made up this BS I was fairly nice to everyone even though I had missed dinner with my family and been falsely accused of using 4 tickets! All along she had been saying conflicting things about the tickets. First they said those room keys never had tickets on them. Then she said we used them, twice! She ended up calling this wuss mgr up from the MK who of course took her side without even looking into the problem. (MK was now closed as well) I said some sweet things to them and just left. I knew what we bought and what we had used and I knew that IDIOT could not figure things out. I took the pathway and walked over to the Cont and joined the rest of them at CM's....we will get to that in the next post.

I would be so upset at having to miss dinner with my family because a manager or supervisor couldn't resolve the ticket problem. I think you handled very well. Now can't wait to see if it is finally resolved, if you got to at least have dessert with your family or what else might have happened!

im sorry you had an experience like that!! in wdw of all places is the last place in our minds where we would expect to deal with customer service drama....

I can sympathize with the employee's you dealt with though. When dealing with information in a computer that is incorrect or doesnt match up with a story a person is giving you, its tough to distinguish truth from bs ( i deal with this on a daily basis). Im sorry for your experience! Since you kept good record of your previous trip, try sending that to a manager to prove a refund is in order. good luck!

After a pretty good long walk over to the Contemporary I finally meet back up with the family. Normally I would get business taken care of right then and there but believe me....I was dealing with a bunch of STUPID people who probably did not know their own last names. Everyone knows when times get hard the BEST are the first to go because they get paid more for better work. In most cases this is true and we all know it. I'm going to assume here all the nice decent people have been laid off or at least transferred away from the Magic Kingdom. CM was closed now but I was allowed to join them anyway. I just put the incident in the back of my head. I knew eventually I'd find someone with enough sense to fix it.

This was my first time back at Chef Mickey's since the refurb was completed. I was looking so forward to this meal. They always had the best salmon out of anyone in WDW and my mouth was watering just thinking about it. Boy was I disappointed when I got up to the bar and saw that it was covered in a red sauce and looked more like sushi! Still, I took a little piece and put it on my plate hoping for the best. I went back to the table and more characters had come around.

BTW nothing is really in order here. We were visited twice or more by Goofy, Pluto, and Mickey but had to make them bring over Minnie and Donald! Even after the handler asked if we had seen them (none of the tables over there had been visited and there was about 12 tables, maybe more) they still didn't show up. Our server had to go in the back and remind them to come back out.

So anyway, I go back to the table and try the salmon. Ew! OMG nasty! Wanted to puke. It tasted like cat food smells. I had gotten me a couple of those Mickey ravioli's too and those were the same. Decent. Better than Tutto Italia I will say. So I went back up to try some of the carved meats. I waited a good 10 minutes for them to serve me while they talked amongst themselves in another language. I thought this was rude as hell! Finally I get a piece of turkey which was decent as well and a small side of tortellini. That was good. Our server at CM's was great. He looked just like the gay guy from that makeover show that used to be on TV. I think his name was Carson or Carlson!? Anyway, he looked so much like him. All I can say is Chef Mickey's changed after that refurb and not for the better. We will go back but it will be for breakfast, not dinner. Sidney eats everything and he said most of the food was not up to par. The buffet stayed full and was changed out like any other time so it had nothing to do with sitting food. It just was not as good as before.

After dinner I went back to the resort we'd stayed in during the December visit and asked for a front desk manager and explained the ticket situation to the clerk. He got me someone immediately. I gave the tickets to the woman, told her everything that happened at the MK, and she started looking into it. Turns out when we checked in to the resort they made 4 tickets for us. Then 4 seconds later they made new cards. We were never given the first set of cards. I'm not sure why they reprinted them, neither is she. But she went on to discover tickets were never added to the second set of cards. Somehow they were refunded. She looked to see where this refund went to and it was like it was just refunded to air. Those of you who do the free dining gig know that tickets (at least a one day ticket per person) must be purchased in order to get free dining.) This is why we had purchased the one day tickets. They are not allowed to refund those because it would void the free dining. Plus she could see nothing was put back on a CC or issued as a room credit, etc. Our plan was to keep those tickets since one day tickets never expire and use the $ value towards a water park annual pass Summer of 2009. A WP AP is $99 so it would have been about $25 to upgrade each ticket. That was our intention with the tickets.

Well, here we were 8 months later. She said she could replace my one day tickets but they would not have a cash value for that upgrade. I told her what our plan was.....upgrading to WP passes and all. Well she asked us if she did 8 one day ultimate park hoppers if that would be okay. This would give us two visits to the water parks during that visit as well as two nights at DisneyQuest which my kids love. I asked them if that would be okay and they said sure! She was great about everything. She told us details of what happened. Apologized for their mess up and the way the MK acted, not that she had to. She didn't do it but she felt so bad about us being late to dinner plus my missing out on most of it. At this point I felt someone had made an effort to make things right. If the MK couldn't figure things out they should have sent me back to the resort. She didn't have to be a B and accuse us of using the tickets which, come to find out, we NEVER even had! BTW she said this early on into the ordeal over at MK. Instead of being a B she could have just said, "Ma'am...I don't understand what's going on....can you take these back to ____ and let them handle it." It's simple. I guess they figured I'd just go on and let things be. Not sure about you folks but $300 is hard to come by in my house and I will not let such a thing slide! This was the second time since March that WDW tried to sock it to me. I suppose they are trying to pay for the Fantasyland expansion any way they can. Even if it does involve screwing people over!

In the end I got refunded for the extra room charge back in March because I had paperwork to prove my story. (ALWAYS GET PRINTED COPIES OF ANY TRANSACTION!!!!!!!) In that case we moved from Pop to the Wilderness Lodge and although Pop sent a credit over to the WL they claimed to have never gotten it so they charged my CC after I returned home. I had the receipt though that showed the credit. After a $10 phone call and a fax showing the credit they refunded my money. My CC had started an investigation on them as well. They were so hateful, OMG, never in my life have I dealt with such mean people and never did they apologize for their error! Then this ticket thing. :headache: Also, if you have AP's and buy these one day tickets to get free dining SEPARATE THEM FROM THE PACKAGE BEFORE YOU CHECK IN AND GET A PAPER TICKET!!!!!!!!!!! Make sure you do this! Not every CM is comfortable with doing this because it can mess things up if they make a mistake but find someone who knows what they're doing and have it done! At least then you have a real ticket in your hand!

I have no patience for ignorance. I would have embarrassed my husband. He always tells me to "please don't say anything ugly" when we are in a situation like that, but I really have no tolerance for stupidity at all and I tend to loose it.

I would have been VERY ticked over $300. But people have VERY different opinions about the value of money. If I see a penny on the ground, I will pick it up. We recently refinanced our house and the lady at the bank said "Are you sure you want to go through all of this paperwork and having your home appraised just to reduce your rate by 1.5%?" I was stunned. It knocked $200 a month off our payment for 25 years and she thought that wasn't worth the trouble??????????????? Amazing! I run into people like that a lot. I just don't get it. I wonder though if they would be that lazy if it was THEIR money up for grabs! Good for you for being persistant. I would have never left without that money!

Colleen, the waterpark looks fun. DH is not a waterpark fan but when DS gets bigger we'll probably be headed there I'm sure.

I'm sorry to hear about all your problems on your trip. Before I say anything out of order here, I just won't say anything at all (you definitely do not want to know my thoughts regarding all this.) Hope the rest of your trip turned out better. (I've only encountered great CM's on my trips and if I felt there was a CM who may not be as experienced to handle a situation, I kindly asked to speak with someone who may be more experienced to handle the situation and that worked out perfectly. Unfortunately it seems your situation was different.)

It sounds like you really kept your cool , I would have never been able to do that ! DH always says I embarrass him cause I just will tell people how it is if they mess up or tick me off ! LOL

Sorry to hear that Chef Mickey's food , has taken a turn of the worse :( We did not eat there on our last trip decided we needed a CM break ! LOL After your review of there food though I don't know that we will try it on our next trip either ? It' a shame it use to be so good !

OMG!!!!! I can't believe that about the tickets. I hope the ones she gave you incompensation were helpful, but still!!!!!! The CM pictures are great. We haven't eaten there in the last few trips. Joe did not like the food there at all. He's not big on buffets, so we usually only do the CP so Sabrina can see Pooh and friends.
Looks like we might be coming down to MB Halloween weekend. Will you be around? I'm still waiting for confirmation from my Dad, but if we come we'll be staying at the Dunes.

I was a little suprized he wanted it he does not love disney as much as me but is slowy turning around lol. He got alot of complements about it I agree with you about ss in epcot when we where there in june we had the counter service meal deal and I think we ate there 5 times lol it was that good.

Glad you made it over here. That cake is delicious! My Pop room? It was just dirty.....cobwebs and mold but I'm not gonna let that discourage my vacation.

Definitely even if you only do one waterpark one time!( Just pay per day at that not ad on) We really didn't get our moneys worth for the waterpark opt this time as we only went 2xs! But it is worth it if you use it like we did last year we were there everyday we could that it didn't rain!

I knew nothing would get straightened out over there. That's why I left. I figured the resort would be able to handle it in a proper manner and they did. I will never again let them put tickets on a room key UNLESS I use them right then!

I've worked both sides too. For her to make something up so she could go ahead and leave was hateful and unprofessional. She saw what really happened. She even said it at one point that I never had tickets on the cards! (Resort confirmed that to be the real deal as well.) If she did not want to solve it she coul;d have sent me over to the resort. Instead she had to be a B about it. I'm sure all that nasty things I wished upon her have hit her by now. :laughing:

Yep, that whole ordeal was funked up. You live and learn. Never ever again will I have tickets left on a key card. Never ever never ever again! I didn't want anything but my darn WP passes! After all I paid over $300 towards them! I do feel like I was robbed by them!

That's just a crazy experience! I"m glad the 2nd CM was able to fix it, but COME ON!! How annoying about the 1st CM at MK GS! Ugh i'd have been angry.

She was a wench! It took the lady at the resort less than 10 minutes to find the problem and resolve the situation! The idiot at the MK could have done the same thing. I was being extremely nice....it's not like I was jumping through the window at her. I probably should have looking back on it now.

I have no patience for ignorance. I would have embarrassed my husband. He always tells me to "please don't say anything ugly" when we are in a situation like that, but I really have no tolerance for stupidity at all and I tend to loose it.

I would have been VERY ticked over $300. But people have VERY different opinions about the value of money. If I see a penny on the ground, I will pick it up. We recently refinanced our house and the lady at the bank said "Are you sure you want to go through all of this paperwork and having your home appraised just to reduce your rate by 1.5%?" I was stunned. It knocked $200 a month off our payment for 25 years and she thought that wasn't worth the trouble??????????????? Amazing! I run into people like that a lot. I just don't get it. I wonder though if they would be that lazy if it was THEIR money up for grabs! Good for you for being persistant. I would have never left without that money!

I'm usually that way too and Sidney can be even worse. I agree with you. Some people don't care about money at all. Here I pay my bills from month to month. I don't have $300 to just throw out and it pisses me off when a place like that tries to steal our money that we struggle to make. Okay, so they made a mistake. FIX IT. Or do something to make up for it. No need in making up a BS story to get rid of the "problem". I wish I could ask that little wench over for tea. You don't even know! :rolleyes:

Tammy, what an experience with the CMs and MK! I don't think I'd even know where to begin in getting all that staightened out. I would've probably just cried!

Colleen, the waterpark looks fun. DH is not a waterpark fan but when DS gets bigger we'll probably be headed there I'm sure.

The waterparks at Disney are loads of fun! You have to check them out sometime. Cry!? Me? Never. Well, maybe after I was sent to jail for kicking that wench's basket! :laughing:

I'm sorry to hear about all your problems on your trip. Before I say anything out of order here, I just won't say anything at all (you definitely do not want to know my thoughts regarding all this.) Hope the rest of your trip turned out better. (I've only encountered great CM's on my trips and if I felt there was a CM who may not be as experienced to handle a situation, I kindly asked to speak with someone who may be more experienced to handle the situation and that worked out perfectly. Unfortunately it seems your situation was different.)

I'm the one who goes out of my way to guest services at the end of the night to leave a comment about the great service I got at Peco Bills. That's who I am. That woman at the MK that night was hateful and in a rush to go do whatever. The manager she called up was just as stupid and mean. I have nothing good to say about any of the GS people at the MK anymore. They ruined that for me.

OMG Tammy what a horrible experience ! I'm just glad you finally found a CM that could understand what had happened and fixed your problem . It sounds like you really kept your cool , I would have never been able to do that ! DH always says I embarrass him cause I just will tell people how it is if they mess up or tick me off ! LOL

Sorry to hear that Chef Mickey's food , has taken a turn of the worse :( We did not eat there on our last trip decided we needed a CM break ! LOL After your review of there food though I don't know that we will try it on our next trip either ? It' a shame it use to be so good !

It was nice to find an honest person! If you have to pay $300 for free dining and fuill price for a room you should be allowed to use the flipping ticket!

We will prob do CM for breakfast, just not dinner. I really miss that salmon!

OMG!!!!! I can't believe that about the tickets. I hope the ones she gave you incompensation were helpful, but still!!!!!! The CM pictures are great. We haven't eaten there in the last few trips. Joe did not like the food there at all. He's not big on buffets, so we usually only do the CP so Sabrina can see Pooh and friends.
Looks like we might be coming down to MB Halloween weekend. Will you be around? I'm still waiting for confirmation from my Dad, but if we come we'll be staying at the Dunes.

Point is she found the answer. The MK could have done the same. We didn't get the AP's but we still got a waterpark/DisneyQuest day out of it so it's all good.

I'm not a big fan of buffets either. The ones at 1900 and CM used to be so good though!

I was a little suprized he wanted it he does not love disney as much as me but is slowy turning around lol. He got alot of complements about it I agree with you about ss in epcot when we where there in june we had the counter service meal deal and I think we ate there 5 times lol it was that good.

The day of the "crack" it was pouring rain for a bit. Thunderstorm...the whole works. We hid out in the Muppet store for as long as we could then ran across to Pizza Planet, because Ashley wanted to go play some games. I'm not on that day yet but I had to share something. :laughing:

August 25th! This was Blizzard Beach day. Colleen and her family were there too. We have a couple of pics on the photopass but it's still not here. Sucks cause I used to order it and within the week it'd be on my doorstep. Well, it was ordered over a week ago and still, no confirmation of shipment or anything! PLUS they charge you $7 for shipping. It used to be included in the cost. I knew they did this. It was like that in March but still. I want my pictures!!!!! ha ha

We woke up a little later than her crew. Who us!? Well at least we got up before 3:00! (Unlike Ashley's room....lol) They missed every single breakfast they had reserved!!! Phew. So, we head to BB. We took some pictures on the sleigh up front then went on and ordered lunch. It was probably 10:00-10:30. They had just opened the place up front. We had chicken tenders and pizza I think. Oh, I just remembered....we brought one of those waterproof cameras with us! I just haven't finished the cameras out yet. I need to do that and have them printed. They can add those to a disc and I can share them with ya'll! I got some cute pictures. (At least I think I did!)

Me, Gabby, and Bolt spent the day together. The guys were with us for a while but later split to do the big slides. While they did that the three of us went on the family raft ride over and over and over again! We had so much fun. I was able to take the stairs without stopping to breathe this time too! I was very proud of myself! Those stairs are HELL. We hit the lazy river...the wave pool (with Colleen and her crowd)...went on the kiddie slides and the other slides in the big kids area. We had a blast! We were probably there for about 4-5 hours. By then we were worn out, sun burnt, and had sore feet. It was time to go!

We went back to Pop. Took our showers and got dressed for dinner. No ADR plans for tonight! While Colleen and I were planning we both agreed the menu at Big River Grill & Brewing Works (down at the Boardwalk) looked really good. This place does not accept ADR's through the WDW dining line so we figured we'd go down and see how things looked. We got in the truck and headed that way...

First things first....pee break for the kids. After all it's been more than 5 minutes since we left Pop. LOL I took this picture because I fell inlove with this painting.

I could see now eating would not be a problem! We were seated immediately and had this wonderful young fella native to Orlando as our server. Only Sidney and I ate here. The kids wanted to eat at FoodQuest. (Now you know we're headed huh?) Bolt was asleep most of our visit. Sidney was busy coloring, you know how it is. Check out that sunburn!

It was heavenly! OMGosh I can't even tell you guys how good this was and we will be going back there next trip! Good thing it was a huge portion. Gabby ended up eating half of it! I tried to get her her own plate and she kept saying, "Nah, just one more bite."

Sidney ordered the steak and shrimp! He claimed this was one of the best meals he'd ever had at WDW. Said the steak was so tender you didn't need a knife and as for flavor....perfect! Again Gabby helped herself. Next time she will get her own plate!

Dinner and service was excellent! This place is highly recommended. We could hear other patrons praising the beer and wine as well. We don't drink either one but everyone was raving about it! For dessert you have two options. Chocolate on chocolate something or cheesecake. We ordered one of each. Again both were fantastic!

We took a little stroll along the boardwalk. It was nice and cool that evening and very few people were around. It was like having the place to ourselves. We really enjoyed it. Our next stop was....

DISNEYQUEST!!! We had not been here in a couple of years. We were all excited to go back. Colleen was supposed to meet us but they ended up hanging with local cousins or something. It was a good night for DQ because a horrible storm came up and it got nasty! We missed almost the entire thing! Yay! We spent about 3 or more hours at DQ. Tried to do everything! This was my first time riding the Buzz Lightyear blaster thingy. Last time in '06 the kids were not tall enough to ride. This time everyone but Bolt could do it. Gabby drove for us....

Great update that pic of Bolt with the cake is too funny! Blizzard Beach was a fun day! Believe it or not I already have a list of ADRs for next August 2010 and I have Big River Grill Brewing works on there for our First night. Maybe they will take adr's next yr last yr planet hollywood was walk up only and this yr they took adr's. I can't believe how dead that boardwalk was! Those meals looked very good! Yes the 25th was our first rained out pool party at Pop that we moved into the FoodCourt and closed it down. :goodvibes

Oh okay then, in that case...

Our first official planned "party" by the pool was rained out! I wanted to get to know Colleen better and our boys....help those two. They were/are like siamese twins! The kids never got around to eating at DQ, so ended up getting food at Pop.

We pulled some tables together, got our food, mixed our drinks...well, actually I wore mine! Thanks to the rowdy crowd of minors (not sure what the heck was up with these kids....mainly Bolt) but WOW! :eek: I'm sure Jennifer thought we were insane for a minute there. :laughing: This wasn't the first thing spilt on me and surely it wouldn't be the last! By the end of this trip I sat in vomit (at least I think that's what it was), had a couple dozen drinks spilled on or near me, and it was not always my kids. Strangers took part as well! Looking back it was quite comical. (And gross!)

Anyway, we closed down the food court unintentionally. We were given the evil eye by the table wiper and realized it was time to go. :lmao: Time flies when you're drinking Goldschlauger and 151. (Or wearing it)

We all headed back to our rooms and crashed!

*Ya know it's funny when I mention rain it doesn't phase me. After being there back in May when it stormed every single day for most of the day these little "showers" as I will call them seemed like nothing. If anything this rain brought on the cool crisp weather a few minutes after and that was nice! I can't remember a Summer trip that was so nice and "cool".

Second, when I saw that thong picture, my hand went over my mouth and a gasp rang out! :eek: I THOUGHT you'd experienced that once before. Wasn't it at Beaches n' Cream? Are you sure you're not wearing a shirt that says "Show Me Your Thong" ?:laughing:

Jen ~ So so cute! I always wondered why WDW didn't sell a MP dress. They will probably sell one any day now that Gabby wants nothing to do with dress up. I got a free offer from Shutterfly for 12 free cards. I made 3 out of 12 Halloween cards with pics from MNSSHP. I can not wait to see them. Everything I have ordered from them so far has looked amazing! We got a free calendar, note cards, poster, and prints w/ Dash's camera and then they sent me a free photo book and that OMGosh! I LOVE their stuff!!! You get those a lot right? Who do you think puts out the best one? I was thinking about doing that for Christmas gifts this year.

Sarah ~ You have to go to DQ one day! If you like video games at all you have to see this place. Heck, even if you don't like video games this is a whole different kind of experience. One could spend a whole day there really.

Danica ~ They ship a lot of stuff out of SC so it's possible to get the thing before they send the email. That's happened once. They send them UPS and make ya sign for them now, which I'm much happier about. Before when we would order stuff I'd have to wait on the neighbors to bring it to me....the UPS guy was dyslexic or something? Luckily I have honest neighbors. Ha ha.

I enjoyed the Boardwalk that day. It was tranquil.

Girl...at one point I'd just text Colleen and tell her I just got ______ (insert gross substance here)! It was constant. One night I was at AKL for dinner. I saw a PP person in the lobby so I took the kids over to take a picture by the guy. They had their orange sodas sitting on the outside of the guys lil set up. Just filled up from dinner. This kid walks by, must have been 10-11 years old, alongside his mother and takes the drink and slams it down on the mans carpet! There was soda all over the rug he was working off of, and me of course. It splashed onto the back of my legs. Here I thought I was going to get through ONE day without getting _____ and this kid gets me. The mother was like, "OMGosh, sorry!" and I just busted out laughing. By now it was funny when these things would happen. I looked at the PP guy and said, "I didn't do it! LOL" Back to Pop for a wash down....

Once the kids get older he'll probably enjoy it more 'cause he can do alot more stuff with them. You really need to be a certain height to enjoy the place. I had a lot more fun this time around.

Just joining in and thankfully I'm joining in early! I hate trying to play catch up. First of all, I'm happy that you were able to fix the ticket situation. I'm still confused, but that is not unusual. It's o.k. that I don't get it, I'm just glad that you were able to find competent help.
Second, when I saw that thong picture, my hand went over my mouth and a gasp rang out! :eek: I THOUGHT you'd experienced that once before. Wasn't it at Beaches n' Cream? Are you sure you're not wearing a shirt that says "Show Me Your Thong" ?:laughing:
Oh, and did you take advantage of Sid's sunburned face? You know, like touching it and saying "does that hurt? Does that hurt?" Sorry, that's what I would've done to my DH. Not sure if that's the kind of wife you are. ;)

Sidney's shoulders were much worse. I told him all Summer....work topless. Get a little sun, base tan, you know. Did he listen? Not really. So knowing that he tans well he said NO to the sunscreen I offered. :laughing: Big mistake!

I know the drive is a killer, but it's free and you could fit ina visit to your grandma. Maybe my girls would be healthy this time and we could meet. Still waiting on my Dad about out plans to go to MB the last weekend in Oct. Do they do lots of Halloween stuff that my girls would like, or is it all too scary?

I was considering a trip up there to do the apple thing but I don't think we can work it into our schedule. We have another Disney trip coming up and that Christmas Carol thing we plan to do in Charleston on the 23rd. You hear that Tiana? I keep forgetting to say something.

Broadway is probably the most fun place to trick or treat. It's really busy though. My kids asked last year if they could just go to neighborhoods. (They say the candy is better and there's not so many people...) They figure this stuff out quick don't they? :laughing: We'll meet up with you guys though and hang out. They will enjoy that! If we get all of this mess done and come into some $$$ I might do a double train tour.

I'm going to put up the Pirate bed for sale on Facebook too. I wish I could find someone to buy all of the kids clothes that are too small. Gabs is in a size 8/10 now and all the other stuff needs to go. She has the cutest stuff. I was thinking about doing $6 on bottoms, $5 on Tops, $8 on sweaters/coats. Not to mention shoes...OMGosh this child has the shoes! Her feet grow like weeds too. Do you think that's asking too much? Everything is Gymboree, Baby Gap/Old Navy, or Disney.

I bought the dress from Claires dance studio. (well they ordered it for me) and I added a shirt we had under it. I had the hat from Easter a few years ago, it's a bit too small, but it works, and added to that. We bought the parasol at Michaels and added the bows. I also added the bows to the dress. I think I may ask my one friend of she can hem it a bit. It's so long. I also got her cute white boots, but you can't really see them becuase the dress is so long.
Hopefully we will go back in the next year or two and she can wear it then!

The last time I think DH took DS was back in 08 over Easter and the only other time they went was back in 06 . So I'm sure it was pretty busy over Easter but I don't know about the other times . I've never gone in , I usually go shopping instead , it's my Favorite ! LOL I'm thinking about the next time we go which I'm planing will be in November of 2010 over Thanksgiving we probably won't add the Water parks and DQ to save money . I'm trying to see how maybe we could work our money to take a trip to WDW twice a year instead of only once by cutting corners , suggestions welcome :)

Wow. I really should keep track of what I do if I plan to write about it! On this day, the 26th I think I went to Epcot. I'm not real sure. I can see from the pictures I have that I went to AKL for lunch and O"Hana for dinner. Okay so I just looked back through my pictures. Looks like the park was Epcot but no details. Seems like once we arrived we went to Spaceship Earth and we met Danica for the first time as she was coming off the ride. Was that this day D? I only have this picture from the park visits today:

I wonder if this is the day I got covered in the orange soda? They all blend together now, it's been a month! Ha ha. One thing I do remember.....our late yummy dinner over at O'Hana. I think our ressie was like 9:40 or something. It was late but we went a little early and got seated. We had this wonderful server from Hawaii. Dash asked him a million questions about the place since he was from there. He told us a lot of neat stuff. The best way to tour. Where to go. The best black sand beaches...etc. The food was good as always. The pot stickers/dumplings were a little too crispy this time around, but dip them in one of the sauces and it's all good. My favorite is the peanut sauce. I could eat anything dipped in that! Well, almost anything. We started with a yummy pineapple bread...

We really enjoyed our meal. And now for the funny part of the night....you ready!?

Every five minutes the kids have to pee so when I got up to go I asked Gabby and Bolt if they needed to go. They followed me to the family restroom...the one right there by O'Hana. I let them go first, then set down myself. I get down on my covered seat and a second later he acts like he's going to leave the bathroom. I jump up to make sure he doesn't and my brand new pants (the convertible WDW pants Sidney bought me on the May trip that finally fit and this was my first time wearing them...those pants) rip! The zipper is busted! :eek: Yep. I get Gabby to block the door so I could go tinkle and then I see the damage. Grrrr! I LOVED those pants. I knew the Poly sold them, just about everyone does, so I went downstairs only to see the gates pulled down at the retail shop. The ladies were still in there so I called one over and told her what happened. She was so sweet. She went in the back and everything but could only find a small in the pants. Well those sure aren't going to fit! LOL Poor thing was in training and she felt bad for me. She offered to call around to other stores to see what they had and said she could give me a refund when they opened again. I thanked her for all of her help and headed to the car with my shirt pulled out covering the "problem". When I saw Sidney coming up to join us I just started laughing like crazy. Not sure why this kind of thing amuses me but it does. I get back to Pop and take my shower. When I came back out he had a brand new pair of pants there waiting for me. He had taken them to the Pop store and exchanged them for me. Is he a sweetie pie or what!? Good thing here: It happened at the end of the evening and now I had brand new clean pants I could wear on another day! PERFECT!

Yeah, that was the day!!!! It was so great meeting you guys!!!! We'll have to do it next August too. :)

And I have those pants too! Luckily, mine haven't ripped yet, but I spilled some red sauce or something (maybe it was buffalo?) on them recently..... :headache:

:)OK! So like I said I had no luck with cameras on this trip as you wil hear more about on 8/27! :lmao: Before we left for this trip my good camera died so we brung along my cheappy HP Camera and DD's Sanyo.
Well mostly I used DD's camera don't know why but I did I don't think I have any pics but I'll post them if I do! So I was very inexperienceed with DD's camera! :headache:

So now with that said i'll start our day.

We didn't do much as we had Chef MIckey's planned for lunch at 1pm . So we decided to sleep in and I got some laundry done .
I hate having dirty laundry around and I refuse to pack dirty laundry. :)
We went in the pool for a few hours then went back to the room and got showered and then we were off to CHEF MICKEY's this is (well was) our must do every trip!
So we arrive at Chef Mickey's if you haven't been there since the renovations the big plate where you take your pic with Chef Mickeys is off to your right now! By the time we were done taking our photo our buzzer was going off! :yay:
We were seated all the way in the back room which was fine it wasnt far from the buffet. The characters were great! They all came around Baby DGN was scared to death of Donald and Goofy! She wanted no parts of them!
It was Hysterical! But she did eventually warm up to Minnie and Mickey .

The food was not that great this time we were really disappointed. Out of everything I wound up eating Mickey Ravioli not what I had planned.
But I must say the service was great !
They did bring Baby DGN out a Big cupcake for her 3rd bday(which we celebrated there but it wasn't until 9/23) but like I said I delted it I was really mad when this happened.
The Mickey Domes and brownies were really good!

After Chef Mickey's we headed to the monorail and we were off to Epcot!
When we arrived at the front of Epcot we stopped to have our photo taken by the photopass photographer.
While we were there we road the Seas w/Nemo and Test Track, Soarin, Figment Ride, Honey I shrunk the audience and spaceship earth the green side of course.;)
We had planned on eating CS at Sunshine Seasons but that didn't work out the kids didn't care for the menu so we asked if they wanted to head back to POP and eat at Everything Pop? The vote was yes! So around 7pm we were back off to POP! We arrived at Pop and went right to the foodcourt and had some dinner.
After dinner we went to our room and got our swimsuits on and went back in the pool! As you will the kids are waterbugs! So we stayed in the pool for awhile then we headed back to the room and called it a night I believe!

Well now that its like 2am I will post pics after I'm done work.
I need to go get some sleep but I wanted to catch up to Tammy.

I hope your all enjoying this TR so far .
Sometime after 5pm thats like another 13 hrs
i'll check through my pics I may have some pics I'm not sure.:thumbsup2

Wow, that was fast! Did I tell you I ordered some of the photos I took? They'll be here tomorrow.

I broke it up into two orders, and I'm holding off on the second order until the Photopass gets here...... which is taking foreverrrrrr!!!!! :sad2:

Tammy- looks like a lot of great food was consumed on this day , will have to try AKL CS next time we go the food looks very good . Ohana's dinner looks so yummy , I would love to eat there but I don't think we ever will w/ DD food allergies , I know they would make her something special but I don't like make a big deal out of it , so most of the time we just eat at places she can have what we are having or pretty close . Oh no your pants to funny :laughing: at least Sidney came to your rescue though , how sweet :)

Colleen- sorry to hear that you were also disappointed w/ your Chef Mickey's dinner , sounds like there dinner menu has took a turn for the bad :( No Sunshine Seasons :scared1: we tried that for the first time on our last trip and absolutely love it including the kiddies , can't wait to eat there again ! Sorry to hear that you had so much camera trouble , I have no luck w/ electronics myself lately , there so disposable anymore , what happened to the nice ones that lasted you 5 years or more ?

Me too! I have some cute ideas in my noggin but I could never make them. :guilty:

I was considering a trip up there to do the apple thing but I don't think we can work it into our schedule. We have another Disney trip coming up and that Christmas Carol thing we plan to do in Charleston on the 23rd. You hear that Tiana? I keep forgetting to say something.
What Christmas Carol thing? I haven't heard anything about this. Wonder where I have been...lol

Broadway is probably the most fun place to trick or treat. It's really busy though. My kids asked last year if they could just go to neighborhoods. (They say the candy is better and there's not so many people...) They figure this stuff out quick don't they? :laughing: We'll meet up with you guys though and hang out. They will enjoy that! If we get all of this mess done and come into some $$$ I might do a double train tour.

I'm going to put up the Pirate bed for sale on Facebook too. I wish I could find someone to buy all of the kids clothes that are too small. Gabs is in a size 8/10 now and all the other stuff needs to go. She has the cutest stuff. I was thinking about doing $6 on bottoms, $5 on Tops, $8 on sweaters/coats. Not to mention shoes...OMGosh this child has the shoes! Her feet grow like weeds too. Do you think that's asking too much? Everything is Gymboree, Baby Gap/Old Navy, or Disney.
I think the prices are very reasonible. What size shoes do you have? I doubt anything else would fit b/c our girls are about the same size right?

Tammy- love, LOVE your TRs! They are always really well-written and hilarious; you guys remind me of the Griswolds in the "National Lampoons" movies (the Chevy Chase ones, not the raunchy ones lol!). That's what my parents used to say about our family vacations; there was one especially memorable chain of events 4 years ago when we were coming back from Disney, coincidentally. Maybe these events will stop when we all stop traveling together :lmao:

I love reading about your experiences with Disney Dining; the last time I was even at WDW was in March 2005, and the only sit-down restaurant I've ever eaten at was Beirgarten. I'd love to experience more, particularly Teppan Edo, per your review. Those pics...yum! :banana:

Oh... and please tell Gabby for me that I think she's an awesome photographer; she seems to have a real eye for pictures for someone of such a young age :) .

I have somewonderful news I am just bursting to tell someone!..No not a Disney trip, but even more exciting...can that possilby even be?

My sister can't have children and her DD, who is 5 is adopted. My sister went back on the list to adopt almost 2 years ago and called me today. She was on her way home form the hospital with a brand new baby girl! She was born on Sat, and my sisters been at the hospital since then and the papers were signed today. I am the proud new Aunt to Abby Lynn! I am just so excited to go visit (and do a little shopping for her beforehand) tomorrow!

I seem to be able to break the zippers on my shorts in Disney too. Unfortunately, when they're not bought there, I just went and bought a new pair. Disney is so good about replacing things that are defected. We ended up getting a new hair bow for amanda due to the one breaking. The cashier just replaced it without any questions. I don't think it was even from this trip.
The food pics look great. Some day we'll have to go to O'Hana's. Love Gabbies bear with the WDW shirt. She's just like my girls loving her dolls and animals.

That's great about the photopass. I've got a lot to catch up on. We starting to get back to normal after a flood like 2 weeks ago. Luckily we live on a hill so the only things we lost were a really old washer and dryer. Two of our neighbors lost everything. It feels weird to walk outside and just see all thier stuff sitting on the curb.

Alright. I'm hopefully going to catch up tonight if not tomorrow for sure.

they're the new package deals - they got rid of the 5x7 photo voucher and a couple of other things, I think, and put those in. I could use a spa treatment right now, actually.....

Nah. Colleen was supposed to buy 5 tickets from me and that money was to go towards payment of our trip. They lucked out and got some free tickets....good for them, bad for us. So no trip for us now. We'll be back next year though. The kids are taking it hard but we're going to try and cheer them up tomorrow with mini golf & the Toy Story movies. :hug:

HI! Everyone!
Sorry it took me so long to get back here sometimes life gets busy and takes over.
Today is Animal Kingdom day as we have our 1st GG tonite!
We actually woke up late again today and had breakfast in the room.
Unfortunately I may not have many pics from today either as an incident with my camera and the Bats occured and afterwards I had no batteries!(well not enough batteries) :lmao:
But i'll get to that later:goodvibes
We arrived at Ak around 10:30am as we planned to spend the entire day here today as we have never once spent an entire day at AK ! We first headed to Expedition Everest as DD has been wanting to do this but last year we never got around to it! So off we headed to EE but along the way we stopped to check these guys out!

Then we turned the bend there and had a view of our destination Expedition Everest!

So we made our way there and DD and DH rode this time as myself , Ds and Dgn stayed and waited in the gift shop!
After DD and DH came out we were headed back towards the Tusker House .
I think we were planning on heading to Kali River Rapids we were trying to get all the rides that would have long lines done first.
On our way we ran into Tammy and Dash guess where they were headed? You got it Expedition Everest .
So Dash talked my Ds into trying out EE even though he was really scared he went because dash went.
I also rode this time along with Tammy and Dd rode by herself.
It's a really fast ride and let me tell you if it's been awhile since you rode something like that look out! :) So after we got off EE for the second time the boys wanted to hang out so we found my DH and DGN and then headed to find Sidney, Gabby and Bolt.
So I think we all agreed to head on over to Dinoland at this point and we rode a few things there then I believe we headed on over to Dinoasaur.
So this time I decided to opt out as I wasn't feeling that great from EE!
I guess it's been to long because that stuff never use to bother me.
So I believe Tammy and Dash and my Dh and Ds and DD rode Dinosaur while the rest of us waited for them!
When they came out we all headed to the bathrooms as the car Tammy and Dash, DS were in had something wet on the seat belt so Tammy had the guy move them but it was too late because a few of them already touched it not having a clue what it was only thnking the worst.:eek:
So we went to sanitize hands etc....
I think our next ride was Kali River Rapids this was great although we all got really soaked we had a blast! The wave literally went over some of us! I don't think there was one dry person in our raft:goodvibes.
I think we rode this 2x's as dearest lil dgn didn't make the height requirement so someone had to stay back. She is a short lil thing .
Now we started heading towards Yak N Yeti as Tammy and her family had a lunch ADR there.
But along the way we walked through the Animal trek forgive me I'm drawing a blank on the name!
I guess that's because I was more focused on what happened here and kinda mad! :mad::headache::laughing:
We walked through and checked out all the animals it was really neat! Well when you get to the BATS there is this area where you can choose to enter or not to enter to get a closer look .
]It's not like their hanging over your heads or anything just a better area to watch from. The bats weren't that exciting as it was there nap time they were just kinda hanging around like this

Well this is where my camera story comes in :laughing:the area that you go onto to look at the bats in case you never have is like a covered porch area but its all enclosed the look out area has these wooden slats.

You can put your camera like in between them and take pics!
Well needless to say I don't have a strap on my camera as it is old.
I was holding dgn and leaning foward to take pics and dgn was trying to get down or moved and I lost my balance and the camera went flying in with the bats and the back popped off the batteries flew out!!!!! :rotfl:
I'm laughing now but I was really mad then!:laughing:
So now I'm like great our GG is tonite and I don't have a camera it's in with the bats!! !!!!!
So the CM that was supervising this room called in for help for someone to at least extract my camera from the bat area!
A girl came a few minutes later with the long arm clamp like thing and she retrieved the camera then the back to the get the door for the battery area! Then she actually found one of the two batteries but that was it!
It'a a good thing I packed extras!
BTW the camera did and still does work which I'm surprised because it took a hard hit on the way down!
You wanna talk about camera luck!! :rotfl2:
So needless to say I had no camera the rest of the day ! DD's camera was dead the batteries needed to be charged.

So after I had the camera back we all headed out and finished checking out the rest of the animals but now it was nearing Tammy's ADR time so they headed towards Yak N Yeti and we were debating on doing Pizzafari and Tammy and Sidney Suggested Yak N Yeti counter sevice since we had planned to use a CS.
So I think I'm going to leave you with that for tonight as I am tired and need some sleep .
I have a wedding tommorrow night.
So lets' see if anyone can guess where we went for our CS would it be Pizzafari or Yak N Yeti CS ????????:confused3
