A couple questions about the Buy 4/Get 3 free deal Disney has offered:

1) When did Disney make the announcement of the 4/3 deal for 2009 dates?

2) Did it apply to only specific resorts, or were all included?

Any speculation about whether the 4/3 deal will return for 2010 is also welcome.

No speculation or knowledge about dates, but I do know all resorts were included

In February if I remember correctly. It applied to all resorts during the given dates. It saved us $1200!!!!! We were already booked when the announcement was made. We just called our TA and she switched it over for us. Easy as pie.

If I remember correct November for stays starting in February. I keep waiting what will happen after Free DP, hope 4/3 will be back:wizard:

It opened November 8, though that may have been the VISA date. I know because I made our 4/3 reservations for June on my birthday. The best present ever.

It was in November, and only applied to selected resorts. I chose POFQ!

We took advantage of that 4/3 deal too and it was great!! I am hoping for it again for 2010!!
I did see on disney worlds site that the current deal only has 12 days left....so I am assuming that the new deal...which i would think would be for 2010 will be out then??!!?? Maybe???

Crossing fingers for the 4/3 deal!! :)

This wasn't a pin deal right? This was a promotion. :surfweb::woohoo:

There was a small Disney Visa window for the 4/3 last year (and to the PP it was a promo not a pin code). I am praying this deal is back for 2010! I would love to see the mouse and save some money in the process! :thumbsup2

I used the 4/3 deal in January. We went Jan 4-11, so it started at least by the 4th. I had a ressie at POP, but had to move, first to POR, then something at Movies opened up. We also added a day at POP for $49 through Travelocity; I booked after returning home after Halloween from DLR, and about 2 weeks later, at 4 in the afternoon, 4/3 was offered. Very strange, but had been rumored, so I was ready.

It was available to anyone. You didn't need a double secret PIN code that I never get. We got the 4/3 deal for our POFQ stay in August.

The 4/3 is NOT a promo that Disney offers yearly. Before this year the last time was briefly in 2003 and before that it was offered just after 9/11 ...Disney only breaks out this deal if it absolutely HAS to .If the economy looks to be recovering, or park attendance and resort bookings stays stable, they probably won't offer it .

It's 7 for 5 for value, 7 for 4 for moderate, deluxe, DVC.

I haven't been on wdw site this week. It's not just for budget rooms though. My agent says the fine print allows for all room types.

I'm staying at the POP Century with free dining Nov. 1-7. Could I call and change my reservation and get this deal, too? We've already purchased our package.

No the deal I mentioned is for spring 2010. You may want to check the wdw web site they have a 7 for 4 deal going on at your time. If you didn't go through an agent you may want to contact one who specializes in wdw (not aaa) they may be able to switch you with no difficulties. My agent said if a better deal comes through she will have not difficulty sliding us into new deal. She was also able to book me in delux even though deal was for budget rooms she found in the fine print deal applied to all rooms.

Actually, Disneysurprise! asked if he or she could get two deals, and the answer to that is no, you can't combine offers.

Depending on your party's makeup, FD may be a better deal than the 5/2 currently offered for the value resorts. The free night deals have more "value" at the higher priced resorts.

You can't combine deals, but you can change the promo if the pricing works better for you AND if the rooms are avaialble for the promo. They will issue a refund to your credit card. However, since there is a reduction in price after the 45 day final payment date you will be charged a $50 change fee, and if you are changing within 14 days of arrival there is an additional $10 fee. They've told me it's for docs re-issue/last minute booking. You really don't need new documents, but they will automatically re-issue them anyway.

In March of this year we also got the $200 gift card.
