Our Yearly Therapy- Winkler's Return

Yep! We went again! Each year we say we are going to wait a while to return, but then the questioning starts, usually from Matt, my dh...."So, when are we going to Disney this year?" This is very ironic of him, considering he doesn't even like amusement parks! But returning reminds us of our wonderful trip in 2007, with our little Angel, Levi. We miss him so very much...

Well, this year we planned numerous trips, then changed our minds, finally deciding on October! Food and Wine and good friends (friends of ours were planning their trip for the same time), who could ask for more? Time off, perhaps? Matt had previously used all of his vacation time during our trip to Colorado, because of my miscarriage. But he has been off most of the summer for medical reasons and in the middle of July called and asked me, while I was in Walmart, if I could move it up, since he was off. A nightmare, I tell you! I got moved up to arrive at CBR on August 24, but moving my dining....well, I'm sure you can guess how bad that was...

Anyway, I booked flights, and we were good to go!

On August 23, we drove to Indianapolis, later than I had wanted, to stay with a dear friend of mine, Raegan. She had offered her guest room and a ride to the airport when I called to see if she wanted to have dinner when we came up. We had planned to stay at a hotel with park and fly option. She and her DH made us a wonderful meal and we enjoyed getting spend time with them. Isabelle loved playing with their "kids", 2 pembroke welsh corgis. We didn't stay up too late, since we had to be up at 4:30 the next morning.

I very sadly regret not taking any photos of our visit.

We were up nice and early at 4:30. Or flight was scheduled to leave at 7AM. This was our first time flying to WDW and Isabelles 2nd flight ever! Rae had us at the airport in plenty of time(:love:). But Isabelle's allergies were already getting worse. I was worried. We grabbed a quick breakfast at McDs and headed for the security gates. It was very quick and easy so early in the morning! After we found our gate, I went to a small store to get some extra meds for Isabelle, since we couldn't find an open CVS on the way to the airport. Then Isabelle and I went to the candy store where she got some rock candy to suck on, hoping it would help her ears on the plane.

It wasn't too bad of a flight. Lots of people were going to Disney. There was this one guy behind me, though, that would not quit talking business the WHOLE flight! I think his partner was even sick of him! I know I had a headache!

It took us a while to figure out how to get to ME. We had to ride a monorail! Very exciting for us! It was like we were there!

We finally found ME, then we rode to WDW! We rode on a cruise bus.

We arrived at customs, since I checked in online, we were quickly directed to our room, which was ready. I had requested Jamaica building 43 or 44 and got 43! We took our carry ons to our room, changed into swimwear and headed to Port Royale for lunch and a swim.

I had the rest of day 1 nearly finished last night and my computer died!:headache: Let's try again!

We headed back to our room from Port Royale just as Luggage services was delivering our suitcase (I really like ME). I showered, and, while Isabelle showered, decorated the window (sorry, no pic tapparently:confused3) and unpacked. Soon we were waiting on a MK bus! (I'm not real happy with busing at CBR, more on that later)

We wondered around for a while. Soon it was time to head toward the front. I have been to WDW every year for the last 4 and this was the first we got the ride in a Main St vehicle. We rade on the trolly!

Isabelle was wore out! We all were! We got on a monorail and rode to GF. We had dinner ressies at Grand Floridian Cafe. I only got a couple of photos. It was a nice place, but the computers were down, Isabelle and I froze, and we were there about 2 hrs. Isabelle ordered only soup, Matt had NY steak which was "ok", and I had Salmon. Isabelle fell asleep, and it was really rough from there.

We stuck it out for dessert. I had the choc. fondue (YUMMERS!), Matt had the chocolate hazelnut mousse cake , also very GOOD!

After we chased down our waitress to pay, we high tailed it to the monorail, and directly went to the bus stop.

CBR was ok, staff was friendly. Being that it is the OLDEST mod, you'd think the bus waiting area would be closer. NOOOOOOO... It is right before POP, which is the LAST bus waiting area. And sometimes we'd be waiting on a bus for 25 min! We would have seen 2 of every other go by! I was not happy!

I picked a Tues, so I could see Fantasmic, but it ended up raining. Isabelle and I went alone at first, Matt needed some extra beauty rest. We went on the Great Movie Ride while we waited on him. We all got FP for TSM. We watched Ariel and then met Matt. Waiting for Ariel

Isabelle kept begging to ride ToT. Matt doesn't like the feeling of falling, so it was up to me to take her. she kept saying, "I want to see if I'll be big enough to go next year", silly child!

Obviously, if she rides it this year...LOL!!!!! Anyway, I took her on it, afterward she said, "It was ok, but I don't want to go again until I'm much older." Ya think? She was holding her ears so that the people screaming didn't bother her, but she wasn't holding on to the bars.

Matt had bacon cheeseburger and fries, I had the veggie burger and fruit, Isabelle had a turkey sandwich and fruit. Matt and I split a No Way Jose and Isabelle had a Mint Mickey sundae!

As with last year, I couldn't see the Playhouse Disney show, it's still too difficult. But when we returned we got to see the Indy show, ride Star Tours and TSM. We took a break at our room after that.Isabelle loves catching FL wildlife!

I liked Sci- Fi and I plan to return. Fantasmic got rained out, so we headed for the bus waiting area, glad it wasn't so far at DHS. Really glad when while waiting Isabelle decided she needed to potty. We had to go back through security! It sucked!

Count me in! I love reading other Diser's trip reports and looking at pictures. They are what keep me sane until our next Disney vacation.

Our family has stayed at the CBR four years in a row and have never had problems with the buses not running on time. I hate that you had to wait.

Great news! With the kids sail free we are going on a Disney cruise!!!!! Just a 3 night, because Matt doesn't have to miss much work. I'd rather do a 4, but that's ok. Looking at Jan 28!

I HAD to finish a friends kids outfits for Disney, they leave Friday! So, hopefully, I can get several updates up!

OH! I am also a bit obsessed right now.... Matt and I are going to do a DCL VR! You see, our anniversary in 2007 was spent picking out monuments and caskets. It isn't a time to remember as special and meaningful...It's very sad and depressing. We have talked about renewing or vows on a different day before, but now we have decided on something! A Dis Cruise! We are shooting for the last week in May 2011! Wanted to give everyone time!
